Modify PR in external opreation

During external operation creation we need to modify EBAN table to add an indicator. I tried EXIT´S
COZF0001
COZF0002
But they don´t export the field that I need.
Is there any BADI or enhancement that could help us modify EBAN before PR creation in CJ20N.

Can see but not save/modify files on external drive

New Mac user. I have an external drive for all photos/movies that I've used wth a PC.
Bought the Mac. I can pull files from the drive but I can't access the drive to delete/modify existing files or save new files.
It's treats whole drive as "read only".
How can I modify stuff on the external drive and save new files to the external drive?

Modified versions from external editor are not shown in browser, why?

After I modify an image in Silver Efex and save it , the image is not shown in it's modified form in the browser. When I open the image it shows as modified.

Remember when you return an image from an external editor/plugin the returned image is made into a new master. Are you sure you're looking at the correct image in Aperture?
If that's not it post back describing the exact steps you are taking from sending the image to the plugin until you're back in Aperture.

Modify PO from external system

Hi all,
We are implementing SRM 5.0 with extended classi scenario.
Until now we have a R3 system where we create PO, but we also have got a functionality for modifing particular information of PO in a lagacy system, that comunicate with R3 between idoc.
Now we migrate the lifecycle of PO in SRM, but the legacy system remains.
Wich is the best way for modify a PO from a legacy system in SRM?

Hi,
You can try multiple methods ( mostly non-standard), one is use the SRM function modules to update PO, when you send the data from external system, other method is PO response( send the changes from external system as PO response in SRM).

Modify XAPP1205 with external DVI make synchronous problems

Hi,
I try to modify the Xilinx XAPP1205. I try to replace one TP Generator with an external DVI signal(AES-FMC-DVI), video pipe 1 in XAPP1205.
I can see a picture on Video out, but the synchronous is not ok (flicker on display).
* Timing Mode in AXI4-Stream to Video Out ist: Master
* vtg_ce is disconnected
* resets and enables are connected
* pipe1 vdma: s2mm_tuser / Dynamic-Master and None / Dynamic-Slave
Please help me on this

Surely, you've heard about the generic problems with this specific video chip: sooner or later most of them will fail due to chip packaging/bonding issues. If yours has not failed before, it may be doing so now because you're driving it harder with a larger external monitor attached, thus probably running the affected videochip hotter. To solve this, Apple has instigated an extended warranty, so do not tread on the tail of your machine's capabilities any more. Once it will not boot (which may eventually happen), it gets really hard to run diagnostics. Have it checked by at least 1, preferably more ASPs (see link), and kindly ask them to reiterate the test 2 or 3 times. Often, the problem will not show up on the 1st try.
I am reading increasing numbers of questions and complaints about this on the Flemish/Belgian Apple forum "Intermactivity", most users seem to be unaware of the problem (though this has been common knowledge for years), and moreover, most ASPs are reluctant to acknowledge it.
So if your machine is one of the affected, you will really have to stand your case. Especially in Europe!

Modifying value in external xml file

Hi,
I've been searching around for some time and haven't been able to find the solution to what I think should be a simple problem.
I have an xml file that I need to change the value of an item from False to True.
The structure of the file is:

I am able to read the file and get to the exact line as such:

But is there anyway to save this information in the xml file at the right location?

Yes. If you check the documentation linked above, it explains the function expects an "a simple value such as an integer, a binary object, or an XML document". An array is not any of those types. So that is why you are getting the error. You need to pass in the whole xml document.
I don't see how the write action would know where to embed my edit in the XML file.
Correct. It would not know. You need to write the entire xml document back to the file (ie xmlText).
Not sure which CF version, I think 8? Obviously I'm new to CF.
Welcome to CF. You can find out your server version by cfdumping the SERVER scope. Cfdump is a great debugging tool. Also, if you are new be sure to bookmark the online documentation. It is my first stop when I have questions about a function or tag. Still use it most every day :-)

BPEL - Handling invocation timeouts and Modifying Partner Link endpoints

We've built the basic functionality that we need in our BPEL process but are facing 2 specific questions that we are a bit stuck with and would really appreciate some help on..
1. Our BPEL process calls an external synchronous web service. We have a requirement that if this external web service is unable to respond to our BPEL process within a fixed timespan (say 1 minute), we need to treat this as a timeout and move on. Can anyone suggest what settings are required for this?
2. The second query is with regards to a likely situation we will face after go-live. If the URL of the external service changes (lets say the service moves from one server to another), ideally we would want to be able to configure this URL change rather than have to modify the WSDL and rebuild the BPEL project in JDev with the new WSDL. Does the BPEL Admin Console provide any such feature? As far as I can recall from a project a couple of years ago, Websphere Process Server did provide such a feature and I'm looking for something similar here but have not found it yet. I am not looking to use dynamic endpoints within our flow - just for an admin feature that would allow me to modify the URL externally via the console.
Would really appreciate any suggestions on these 2 points..

In response to your second query -
a) you don't need to rebuild the BPEL project in Jdev in order to change the wsdl file. If you update the WSDL file with new values for your endpoint simply clear the WSDL cache and the process will pick up the new values in the new instances created from thereon.
b) or if you dont' want to update the wsdl manually, you can write a piece of java code to change the endpoint URL's for the deployed BPEL processes using the code given here

Cant change the read only status of certain folders on my FAT32 external HD

Help someone please.
I have this external hard drive that has all of my music files on it. I was using it with my pc before but am making the difficult transition into mac land now. well over the last few months really. its not proving to be as easy as the marketing would have you believe. So anyway, i removed all the music temporarily from the drive (put it onto the pc's hard drive and a couple dvds), so that my macbook pro could reformat the external drive to FAT32 (which I hear works for both pc and mac). Then I put the music back on the external. and brought into my mac itunes library. then i noticed i couldn't add artwork to SOME of the files. it said "album artwork not modifiable". The external drive's info screen says permission is read and write. SOME of the folders are read and write, but SOME are locked to read only. When I look at the info of the folders and click on the locked box it won't unlock. I've attached the drive to a pc as well and tried to change permissions there but the pc saw all the files as read only. i can drag the folders off the external onto my mac desktop and unlock them there, but i can't even replace the locked files on the external with new the unlocked ones, because of course they are locked and can't be overwritten or thrown away. I've run repair disk permission on my mac's hard drive, I can't run it on the external (disk utility won't give me that option for the external). I've read a ton of discussions and threads and nothing seems to work or to match my unique problem.
Can someone please help me unlock my read only folders on my FAT32 external?

File to multiple Idocs using external definitions.

Hi all,
I have to create multiple idocs based on one field from source side.
Inorder to do this..I have decided to change the occurance of Idoc from 1 to 1..unbounded , in the xsd i have downloaded from standard Idoc.
which i have a plan to map to the filed , based on that i need to create new Idoc.
I have tried importing the modified xsd into external definition. but how i should relate it to standard idoc which I have mapped earlier?.

After changing the Idoc occurence , you have imported the xsd into external definition. So this will act as as new message type for you in the mapping.
You can not use old mapping here.

Modifier Keys Reset After Switching User

So, I started using and external monitor, keyboard and mouse with my MBP at work. I am running into an issue with modifier keys. I can switch the command and option keys, but when I change to another user on my MBP, and then change back, the keys are back to their original position. Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem...
in 10.5.8 and prior I had an aluminum pro keyboard connected to my macbook pro unibody 15. I disable the caps-lock modifier key because I don't use it.
Since the upgrade (not sure if it was 10.6 or 10.6.1 that caused it) I am not able to REenable the caps-lock modifier for the external keyboard only. All the settings for the macbook keyboard work as expected.
I also just noticed that there are three keyboards listed in the "Select Keyboard:" drop down menu. The first is the internal macbook (works fine), the 2nd is "Unknown External Keyboard" and the 3rd is Apple Keyboard. I don't know what the Unknown External Keyboard is as I've never had another keyboard attached. But it doesn't matter which of the 2nd two entried I try to adjust, it still doesn't affect the external aluminum keyboard.
No matter what i do, my external keyboard has the caps-lock modifier disabled (which normally is fine for me, but I have a need for it now)
Any help would be great!

It was caused by the USB dongle for my Logitech MX Revolution mouse. As soon as I unplugged it, the "Unknown External Keyboard" item disappeared and was able to use the modifier settings as normal. I hope you have the same situation!

How to change an Existing Purchase Requisition Document in MM.

Hi Folks,
I want to write a program to change a existing Purchase Requisition in MM.
I found two BAPI's BAPI_PR_CHANGE and BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE , which could be used to change PR document in ECC.
I have following question:
1) why we have two seprate BAPI's for changing PR.
2) Do we need to use both BAPI's to change PR, depending on what value we are trying to change.
3) Is it optional to use any of these two BAPI's
Or do we have any other way to implement this PR change process.( Bcoz of when i tried to debug standard PR change process, none of these two BAPI's has been called)
Which FM or method is called when, we try to change and save PR document manually.
I would appriciate, if some one has any sample code to implement this PR change process.

BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE is the older BAPI, the one based on the older ERP transaction (ME5x family), while BAPI_PR_CHANGE is the newest one, referring to the "recent" Enjoy transaction (ME5xN family).
They both satisfy you task probably, but if you can chose, I'd go for BAPI_PR_CHANGE.

You can use the first or the second one, it's indifferent. The newest one will also trigger user exits from ME5xN family. Which transactions are used by the users on the ERP? Choose with regards to the transactions used during the normal activity.

Normal PR change operativity doesn't use BAPI. BAPIs are used to create/modify docs from "external" systems (it's not properly true, but let assume it), they provide a simple interface to populate with PR data and the process of creation/modification will trigger every check/userexit already defined for the standard transactions on the ERP.
In example, suppose that in ME51N you defined a custom check in a specific userexit which don't allow an user to create a material item which have odd quantity (odd example, I know ). Then using BAPI_PR_CREATE you will not be able to create a PR with items with odd quantity, because the same check will be executed.

Lightroom 5.4 to Lightroom Mobile sync is soooo slow - why no local sync?

I am testing the new Lightroom 5.4 with Lightoom Mobile. What really annoys me is the fact that all photos are going up to the Creative Cloud. I have private pictures which should be private. Always. No upload. No Cloud sync. It is important!
Speed is the next major problem. LR 5 is way too slow for a fluid workflow. But this is mentioned from other users.
What absolutely makes me sad ist the sync speed of LR5.4 to LR Mobile. 100 Photos took up to 4 hours. On a typical wedding I have 2000+ images. Depending on the speed of the first 100 photos I have to wait 80+ hours? Are you kiddding me? This makes LR Mobile unusable. My clients are expecting results fast. Speed is one factor to the next contract.
Overall, I don't want to sync anything into the Cloud. I want a to use my fast local sync via WiFi or USB. Only those two options. I want to sync photos even without any internet connection successfully and quickly.
I'm fine with authentication with Adobe servers for licensing verification. But that's it. The rest should be configurable by the users whether they Cloud sync or not.

Tom, thank you for taking your time to come here and enlighten us with the decision making process behind what was done. Like it was said before here, the Lightroom Mobile so far has been very, very frustrating. I came home very excited to test it and make my dream come true. To be able to take my catalog (or a shoot) with me on the subway, etc and be able to choose the photos on my iPad. See, I am a photographer and I shoot mainly fashion and beauty, so my workflow starts as soon as I finish shooting by importing all images into Lightroom and then going through the painstaking process of choosing which picture to use. I would shoot anywhere between 5-12 looks in a day, around 100 photos per look and at the end of the process I need to choose only one photo from each look. This normally involves going back multiple times to be able to get to only one from each look. The LR Mobile would have been the perfect solution for me, making me able to look at photos while out of the office, on the subway, at home, etc. It would have made my editing process much faster (or less slow). Instead, I've been sitting and waiting for 6 hours so far and only 18 photos showed up on my iPad (from the 500+ that were chosen to be synced from my desktop LR. Now I know it's not my internet that is making it that slow because I have 80+Mbps of download and 40+Mbps upload. And that haven't helped me much as my LR is stuck on "Syncing 527 photos" for the last 5 hours. Most professional photographers that I know deal with a huge amount of photos from a photoshoot. Wedding, fashion, advertising, we all shoot 1000+ images in any given work day. To come home and have to wait 100 hours before we are able to edit on the iPad is just not useful. This will be useful for the amateur photographer that will take photos of their children/dog/flowers and want to be able to show their guests the photos without having to get them in front of the computer.
Now I understand what you said about having to have a centralized place so that all the clients up to date on the changes, and I think that is great but I also think that it's paramount that there's a different way of syncing, a faster, more efficient way. Even if it is, like mentioned, not a "everything in sync" solution. Something like sync the desktop to the iPad and only those two work together. If both are changed before the next sync, a "the 'blabla' catalog has been changed since you last synced, do you want to overwrite it?" takes care of the problem, much in the same way that Photoshop asks us when we are saving something that has been somewhat modified by some external agent between saves. But the beauty of shooting all day, loading everything in Lightroom at night at the hotel and in the morning catch your flight and edit your shoot on the iPad while traveling, or being able to show the clients on the iPad right after you shot the wedding, or (what I was dreaming was going to be possible just to have my dreams crushed when started to use it) shooting tethered on the job and giving the art director the iPad so that he/she can see the shots without having to stay in front of the computer during the whole shoot. Now THAT would be a game changer! That was what I was expecting from LR Mobile but unfortunately got disappointed. I'd pay for the app alone if it did that!

Acquiring a lock on an object?

I've browsed through the threading and synchronization tutorial, but I don't fully understand it. I currently have a class with an array, which may be modified by an external thread. I also have another thread that counts the number of non-null elements in the array, makes an array of that size, and then copies over all of the non-null contents. Although it is very rare, occasionally the array-copying thread will count n objects in the array, then the array will be modified by the other thread and will now have n+1 elements in it, then my array copier will try to put n+1 elements into its n-sized array.
How do I prevent this from happening?

And in the case you described, the object you synchronize on should not be the array. Why not? Because your description reveals a misunderstanding. You cannot change the size of an array, so your statement "then the array will be modified by the other thread and will now have n+1 elements in it" must actually mean "then the other thread creates a new array that has n+1 elements in it". So anything that was synchronizing on the original array has no effect on anything that is now synchronizing on the new array -- which is a different object.

Importing Sales Transactions into Oracle Financials

I have a customer who is planning to use Oracle Financials as their finance solution, but we need to auto-feed the sale transactions from the sales system. These transactions corresponds (loosely speaking) to sales (or purchase) orders and delivery order. We have the ability to reformat the data (if necessary) to any format or through most interfaces (ODBC, XML, etc).
I just do not know enough about Oracle Financial to determine the appropriate format and connectivity.
I read on the Oracle Financial product page that it is possible to integrate that solution with third party solution - but there is hardly any other information available. So,
1. Has anyone done similar integration before ?
2. If so, can you kindly offer some advice - where (or whom) should I go next for more information ?

tasks, budgets etc. For importing/recording commitments there
is a table that needs to be created and a view that needs to be
modified to show external commitments within projects (I believe
the view is named something like

To create multiple IDOCs based on Parent material # and Child pair do the following(no need to use BPM for this)
1.change Imported IDOC(from r/3 system) occurrences to 0...Unbounded or 1...Unbounded and import modified XSD as external definition
2.use modified IDOC in message mapping
   map parent material# node to /BOMMAT03/IDOC node
    (This mapping creates number of IDOCs basesed on Parent material#s)
3.normal mapping for rest of the IDOC segments
