Modify Standard CCMS Alert E-Mail Text

Hi ALL,
I have configured CCMS Monitoring and its working Perfect.
Alerrt E-Mails are generated, but the Text of these E-Mail is Techno savvy and cryptic.
Is there any way I can Modify/Customize the CCMS Alert E-Mail Text.
Thanks

Hi,
Auto reaction methods triggered in sattelite systems are sent to client 000 and then through SMTP server to the external mailing address.
In central auto reaction methods we make use of info sent by CCMS agents to trigger an alert in the central Solman system using the custom created central auto reaction method, assigned to a specific MTE class for a  satellite system.
this is the new method modified to be able to do the configurations from the central system itself instead of doing the setting in the individual satellite systems, and as it makes use of ccms agents its faster.
the configuration is same almost in both cases, just go through 455140 S-note, and follow the similar steps in solman system.
Please let me know if any problems,
Thanks,
Regards,
Kaustubh.

  • Customise Standard Subject and Body Mail Text

    Hi Workflowers,
    I would like to edit the standard text that appears in the outlook e-mail after the Description in the mail body as follows:
    "Open the SAP shortcut attachment in order to process the work item.
    If you have any problems logging on, contact your system administrator."
    And the message subject saying for example "Missed Deadline:...."
    I know that when you run the report RSWUWFML2 under the block "Standard Text for Notification", there is a message class for the mail Subject "SWU_NOTIF" Message Number 2, which has &1: &2 in transaction SE91. How can I determine the text in these variables during runtime (In fact, I would like to Hard-code this text)
    After I select "Collective Message" in the "Send granularity" block I have removed SWU_NOTIF_PROLOG1 for "Before Work Item Description" so that the standard text:
    "Your Workflow inbox in the SAP system DEV, client 100, contains the following work item:"
    does not appear in the outlook mail since I don't need it.
    But I have not removed the SWU_NOTIF_EPILOG1. I would like to know how I can edit the text from this:
    "Open the SAP shortcut attachment in order to process the work item.
    If you have any problems logging on, contact your system administrator."
    which I believe is the one involved with SWU_NOTIF_EPILOG1.
    Regards,
    Darlington

    Hi Darlington
    You have to do the custom development for the custom text in your mail. Instead of that which ever workflow you are triggering put a mail step in the workflow itslef with custom text both in subject as well as body. This is very easy job rather than developing ZRSWUWFML2.

  • How many SAP CCMS Alerts can be conf?

    Hi All,
    1.How many SAP standard CCMS alerts are available?
    2 If CCMS is already configure how to identify what are the alerts configured?
    3.How to migrate CCMS alerts form one SolMan to other Solman system?
    Please help me for this info.
    Regards,
    Neni

    Hi,
    I am not clear on your query,You mean to say maxium number of alerts in each node of ccms?
    if yes, this can be done using each nodes,properties->general tab there you can maintain the maximum number of alerts.This restrict the maximum number of alerts generated for this node.
    and for your 3rd question you can transport your monitor sets from one system to another system,please check

  • Standard SAP functionality to send e-mail Text on PO Output?

    Hi,
    I have a new requirement to send E-mail body along with the PO as an attachment to our vendors.
    We are using '5' as tranmission medium to send the PO as e-mail and we call the Smart Form Interface with the Sender and Receipient information. Is there anything we can use as part of standard functionality to send e-mail text. I tried PO Title and Texts option when we define the output type, but the system doesn't seem to be picking it up.
    I also tried to setup '7' as transmission medium, but when i use '7' system accepts 'MA' partner type only, when defining the condition records. But for Vendors we cannot define MA partner type in partner schema, so i am not able to define a MA partner when defining the condition record.
    thanks
    Udai

    Hi Srini,
    Sorry SDN was not available at the time i wanted to write a reply yesterday.
    The way i did this was, we were using call to SMARTFORM function module in the custom print program.
    When we call the SMARTFORM function module, if you have to send an e-mail, then usually you would pass the recepient information to the function module. The RECPIENT is a business obect in SAP, which has a method called add note, which is what i used to add the e-mail text. One other thing i did was, i read the e--mail text from the Text object when you define the output. Usually the name of this text object is Application concatenated with Output type (eg.: EFNEU ).
    I am including the code, please go through it and let me know if you have any questions.

  • Configuring CCMS alerts to send mail

    I need to configure CCMS alerts where the alerts will be send to my mail id.
    I have configured the seting in RZ21 and activated the alerts
    Please tell me the steps to be followed, for sending mails Email in case of any alerts

    You basically need to make sure that
    1. You can receive emails send from SAP Business Workplace to your SAP/Outlook inbox . This can be done by the Tcodes SCOT, SOST.
    2. Configure CCMS_ONALERT_EMAIL_V2 according to your needs (RZ21)
    3. Assign this method to the required MTE via RZ20.
    This is the broader view. Refer this link and the previous posts for more info

  • CCMS Alert Monitor (edit monitor-configuration.xml. ?)

    Hi Friends
    I'm trying to change the default polling time for the CCMS Alert Monitor, 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes.
    In http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/e5/5d1741b393f26fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm you can read:
    Accuracy
    The default polling period for the monitor is 30 minutes. If you want to have shorter polling periods, you can change them in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator as follows:
    1. Choose Availability and Performance Management ® Resource Monitoring ® Java System Reports (alias: /nwa/java-sys-reports).
    2. Select an arbitrary Number of errors entry in the monitoring tree of the Adapter Engine (leaf node).
    3. Choose Configuration in the right-hand pane.
    4. Choose Edit in the dialog box that appears.
    5. Change the polling period to 5 minutes, for instance.
    6. Choose Save and wait until saving is finished (be patient, since this may take a while).
    7. Choose Configuration Management ® Infrastructure Management ® Java Configuration Browser.
    8. Choose apps ® sap.com ® com.sap.aii.af.app ® Monitoring Configurator ® monitor-configuration.xml.
    9. In the xml file, change the polled-by-template period to the same value as above, for example, 5 minutes.
    10. Save the modified xml file.
    11. Choose Operations Management ® Infrastructure Management ® Start & Stop ® Java EE Services to restart the Monitoring service to apply the changes.
    But in step 9, the xml file I've found in my PI 7.1 (SP6) is this:
    <monitor-configuration>
    <monitor-semantics />
    <monitor-tree />
    </monitor-configuration>
    Also, there is no way to modify that file, you can only display it or download it.
    can anyone tell me how to edit the file.
    regards
    raja

    Hi Raja,
    This is the same as doing the following:
    You can locate the monitor-configuration.xml file in the SDA com.sap.aii.af.app.sda (inside META-INF folder). You can find this SDA in the install directory of PI installation. In this XML file please locate and edit the following tag:
    <template-info template-name="SAP_XIJ2EE_RCRDS">
                            <polled-by-template period="30" unit="MINUTE">
                                <generating-resource
                                    name="com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.mx.standard.XIJ2EEComponentMBean" type="APPLICATION"/>
                                <template-attribute-mapping>
                                    <invoked-resource-method name="getMonitoringRecords"/>
                                </template-attribute-mapping>
                            </polled-by-template>
                        </template-info>
    Change the above to the following *************
    <template-info template-name="SAP_XIJ2EE_RCRDS">
                            <polled-by-template period="5" unit="MINUTE">
                                <generating-resource
                                    name="com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.mx.standard.XIJ2EEComponentMBean" type="APPLICATION"/>
                                <template-attribute-mapping>
                                    <invoked-resource-method name="getMonitoringRecords"/>
                                </template-attribute-mapping>
                            </polled-by-template>
                        </template-info>
    The main change is the polled-by-template value from 30 mins to 5 mins as per your req ******
    Construct back the SDA (you can search SDN for that) with this edited XML and then redeploy this SDA with the help of JSPM tool.
    This will re-start the PI Server for the changes to come into effect.
    I hope this helps.
    PS: You can consult your BASIS consultant to locate this sda and re-deploy it on PI Server.
    Regards, Gaurav.

  • CCMS Alert for Stuck Queue

    Hi
    I want to setup alert for any ABAP Dump or any Failed XML Message.

    Hello Sundara
    You can setup CCMS for J2EE in the following ways
    1. Setup system monitoring in DSWP as you do for ABAP systems
    2. Installing and Registering sapccmsr agents
    3. Availability Monitoing by GRMG Lite and GRMG
    4. Setting up Central Autoreaction
    5. E2E analysis (Solution Manager Diagonostic)
    Four options are excellently elaborated in the following link

  • Incorrect time of CCMS alerts, alerts getting delayed by more than a day

    Hi All,
    We have SOLMAN 4.0 and configured the autoreaction method for alert on e-mail centrally on SOLMAN for a client in DEV(100). The configuration is correct and we are able to receive the CCMS alerts, however, the alerts are getting delayed by more than a day. Alerts are getting generated every 3-5 minutes and in the central autoreaction method zCCMS_OnAlert_Email_Central i have added a parameter TIME_ZONE and gave the value as PST as our servers are all on PST.
    The following is an example of the alert that I received:
    ALERT for DEV \ Workload Collector \ Workload Collector Frame \ Collectorframe Messages at 20070910 215114 ( Time in UTC )
    System: DEV at 20070910 145114 ( Time in PST ) RED CCMS alert for monitored object Collectorframe Messages Alert Text:Determination of component from SCR failed System:DEV Segment:SAP_CCMS_e47dev_DEV_00 MTE:DEV\Workload Collector\Workload Collector Frame\Collectorframe Messages Client:000 User:DDIC
    Severity:        0
    I received the above alert at 15:45 after changing the "set wait time" to 15:30. However, in Tx. SOST, this alert was supposed to reach at 23:52 on 2007 09 10 which is like almost a day to receive the alert?
    Is this any configuration issue? The job which was scheduled to run every 3 minutes in SCOT to send e-mails is running fine without any delay.
    Please help me!!!

  • Alert by mail or Alert by RWB alert inbox....

    Hi
    If  I am in setting -> configuration->Smtp forwarding as XML  in order to set up a mail for XI Alert error did that mean that won´t receive alert in the RWB alert Inbox ?
    Can I implement both of functionalities (alert by mail and alert in rwb alert inbox ) at the same time ?
    Thank U for your feet back

    SMTP forwarding as XML will forward the Alert as XML message and will not send a alert to alert inbox . This is standard functionality.
    If you want both mail and Alert in Alert inbox , procedure is a bit different,
    1. Do not select SMTP Fowrdingas XML . Let it be none.
    2. Make sure that the recipeient of the alert has the email id associated with him in SU01
    3. Log on to Alert Inbox , and go to Personlization --> TIme Independent Delivery --> Email and this will forward now theAlert to both mail and alert inbox.
    Mail will be a text mail though
    regards
    Bhavesh
