Modifying idcAdminService port number

Hi
I am using 10gR3. I want to modify the adminserver port number. i modified the config.cfg for the entry IdcAdminServerPort as IdcAdminServerPort=6660.
After restarting the admin server instance, its still trying to connect to the default port number 4440.
How should i modify this?

Hi ,
Navigate to <ucm_home>/admin/config/config.cfg and there in change the port number .
After that restart admin server so it starts using the new port number.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Srinath

  • Manually modify DISPLAY port number

Our 11.5.9 system has ADF concurrent report, we started up a X background service at Admin tier for Report server running. As request from the UNIX admin, we need change the port number for X windows. Since it is production, we have lots of customization, I want to avoid undate the context file and run the autoconfig. Therefore, I tried to modify the DISPLAY parameter in environment files on both tiers directly. However, it does not work. Does anyone know what I missed?
Here is the file list I touched.
    adcmctl.sh , adrepctl.sh , $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/*.properties on both tiers, re-bounced the whole application afterwards.
    Thanks
    Sean

There should be an entry for the DISPLAY variable in the application env file. This entry is created from the context file and after running AutoConfig. Also, make sure that the DISPLAY is set in the applmgr user profile.
I used to follow the same procedure when configuring the DISPLAY in non-AutoConfig environments, update the env file manually and make sure it is set in adcmctl.sh before staring the CM.
The list of files while should be updated manually are listed in the following note (Under "Running Applications 11i Reports Result in REP-3000" section):

One way to check is using Transaction<b> SMICM</b>. You can also try SE37 > RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET. When you execute this function module, the Export parameters returned are what appear in your URL.
If there is a difference between what you see in SMICM and the Export Parameters, it means that somewhere the settings are wrong...your Basis team can help in that case.

  • WebEnterprise: Hardcoded IIOP Port Number

    All,
I am using IIOP component from the Fort&eacute; Web Enterprise 1.0 B and I have a
problem with the IIOP port number that I have to set to my Service Object
    Properties.
I am using the following properties :
    IORFILE=(name=MySO.ior, runtime), listentlocation=remote, forward,
    host=${HOST}, port=4500, generate=IDL
So it means I am using the Fort&eacute; IIOP gateway running on ${HOST} and
listening to the 4500 port number.
As you see it is possible to specify an environment variable instead of the
    hardcoded host name.
Unfortunately, it seems I cannot specify an environment variable for the
port number (if I try Fort&eacute; (from the Fort&eacute; workshop or from the Fscript)
returns me an error message saying that I have to specify a number).
First Issue: When the distribution application is made with this hardcoded
port number I am not able to modify during the installation this number
which can be busy and already used.
Second Issue: We are using a single machine for test purpose. We have
several Fort&eacute; environments using this IIOP service SO. It means that I have
to make several application distributions allocating for each of them a new
port number to avoid port number conflicts.
Has someone coped with this problem ?
Does anyone have an idea or a workaround ?
    Thanks.

  • Cisco ASA, skipping real source port number with PAT.

    Hi Experts,
    Cisco ASA configuration guide says:
"PAT translates multiple real addresses to a single mapped IP address by translating the real address and source port to the mapped address and a unique port. If available, the real source port number is used for the mapped port. "
Is it possible to skip this ? I do not want to use real source port number. The issue is, when I have a PAT entry with real source port (port 5060), - SIP session doesn't work. With all the other ports numbers,- everything works.

    Hi,
Notice that the configuration you try does not modify the real source port at all.
Since you are using the same "object" for the real/mapped service then the configuration above matches traffic where the connections destination is "any" and the destination is "udp 6000 65535" and only when the source is "udp sip" and in that event it keeps the exact same "udp sip" source port as you are using the same "object".
I am not sure if its a software or configuration related issue but I have not gotten this to work reliably on my ASA. I might have to try some other software level.
I guess you would want to match the SIP source port in the Dynamic PAT and avoid using the SIP port as the mapped port?. With that in mind I was thinking something like this
    object service UDP-SIP
     service udp source eq sip
    object service UDP-SIP-MAPPED
service udp source range 30000 31000
    nat (VoiP,outside) source dynamic <source network object> interface service UDP-SIP UDP-SIP-MAPPED
Though it seems the above configuration seems to be bypassed by the ASA completely and it seems to use the identical source port as the mapped port even though it matches the configuration.
If I were to change the above configuration from "dynamic" to "static" then the configuration matches but it uses only the first mapped "source" port of "30000". I guess it would only use a different mapped port if you used multiple real source ports also instead of the current single source port "sip".
    nat (VoiP,outside) source static <source network object> interface service UDP-SIP UDP-SIP-MAPPED unidirectional
    Example from my own ASA.
    DYNAMIC
    - Matches the configuration but doesnt map the port at all
    Phase: 5
    Type: NAT
    Subtype:
    Result: ALLOW
    Config:
nat (LAN,WAN) source dynamic LAN-NETWORK interface service SIP SIP-MAPPED
    Additional Information:
    Dynamic translate 10.0.0.123/5060 to <my pat ip>/5060
    STATIC
    - Matches the configuration and maps the source port but only uses the first mapped port from the range
    Phase: 4
    Type: NAT
    Subtype:
    Result: ALLOW
    Config:
nat (LAN,WAN) source static LAN-NETWORK interface service SIP SIP-MAPPED unidirectional
    Additional Information:
    Static translate 10.0.0.123/5060 to <my pat ip>/30000
I am not really sure if this configuration is reliable at all but its the only thing I can think of at the moment.
    Hope this helps :)

  • What port number for Desktop Sharing using in Lync Server 2013 and Lync Online

    Dear All,
My environment using Lync Server 2013 and Lync online on Office 365. I don't want my user using Desktop Sharing feature. then I need to know what port number for Desktop Sharing using in Lync Server 2013 and Lync Online.
I will deny this port on personal firewall each client.
          Thank you for your advise.

    Hi,
I'm not sure you'd be able to do this with ports without impacting other application sharing features such as Q&A, Whiteboard, Poll etc - I'm pretty sure they all come under the same umbrella of ClientAppSharing.
    Ordinarily you would create or modify your conferencing policy to restrict sharing to single programs only using a cmdlet similar to below;
    Set-CsConferencingPolicy -Identity "Global" -EnableAppDesktopSharing SingleApplication
This would disable desktop sharing but enable users to continue sharing other single programs. If you want to remove that functionality too, then replace the 'SingleApplication' parameter with 'None'. Then users won't be able to share any programs either.
This is the correct way to do it as the icons will be greyed out for the users. Doing it your way, they would still be able to click them, and it would throw an error - this will lead to a lot more support calls and people assuming a service is broken.
    I hope that helps some.
    Kind regards
    Ben

  • How to find port number of message server

    Hi All,
Is anyone there who could tell me how to find out port number of message server (Message Port)?  I am defining new system in my SLD so I need port number of message server of the system that I am connecting to. Thanks in advance.
       Best regards

    Hi,
Go to the index page of the url,
type http://hostname:http port in Internet browser.
for ex : if installation is done on system with IP 172.16.28.90
and your http port is 50000(depends on Central instance number,JCxx)
    then type http://172.16.28.90:50000.
1.then go to system information tab in index page.
    for the credentials asked,type,
    user:administrator
    password:master password given during installation.
then system information page opens,in the left corner top,you can find message server port.

  • How to find port number , when there will be different instance number ?

    In case of portal url,
port number is 50000 for default instance number 00.
how to find port number , when there will be different instance number , instead of 00?
    Thanks

    Hi
You can find the port number by your instance number as follows:
There is a general format for the port number like you have mentioned.
For 00 instance the port number is 50000.
The general format for the port number goes like this:
        <b>5<instance_no>00</b>
If your <b>instance number is 01</b> then the port number would be <b>50100</b>.
It depends on the installation type which you perform.
You can also change the instance number during the installation but normally you dont do this.
If you have many components or units installed on your system you may have more than one instance in that case it may go like this 00, 01, 02....accordingly port number will be 50000, 50100, 50200...resp.
    Hope this solves your doubt.
If you need some more clarification please lemme know.
    Regards
      Sumit Jain

  • Select Listener Port Number from which_table?

I'm writing a SQL script that, among other things, disconnects from Oracle and then reconnects to the same instance as a different user. I'm able to query v$database and v$instance to get most of the information I need (host, service name, etc) for the reconnect part. The only part I'm missing is the listener port number. I could hard code it to 1521, but that isn't very flexible. Currently, I'm prompting the user (which is normally me) for the listener port number in the SQL script, but that just seems a little bit lame. So my question is this: is there a view or table somewhere in the sys schema that I could use to view the listener configuration? I'm mostly working with 10gR2+ databases.

    cleavitt wrote:
That is possible, but it needs to be a standard Oracle configuration if the script is to remain generic and portable. The script is actually working fine as-is. I was just trying to go the extra mile and determine the port number automatically. I could also prompt for a TNSNames entry as suggested by others, but I don't always have an entry defined for all of the Oracle instances in my company on every workstation that I work from.
Here is the script for anyone that is interested. It started out as a script that I found online, but the original did not work with 11g case-sensitive passwords and it only worked for local connections on the server.
    Description:
Allows a DBA user to impersonate another user (without knowing the user's password).
Similar in function to using the SU command in Unix/Linux.

And in the mean time, if this happens to be an account used by some automated process, that process doesn't know the new "temporary" password and runs a risk of locking the account from too many invalid connection attempts.
