Modifying Lightroom Flash Gallery Templates

I have created a Photo Gallery using Lightroom Flash Gallery in Bridge CS5 and have integrated it into a web site so far so good.
I would like to replace the file name shown under the image with the Image Title from the Metadata and not to show the Title Bar.
Does anyone know if other Templates are available that may do this?
Otherwise is it possible to make changes to the existing templates?
I have located the existing templates in the resources folder but have not figured out how to make the changes I want.
Advice and guidance welcomed.
Thanks
Derek

I have answered my own question, simple when you find where in the code it is done.

  • Adding Music to Lightroom Flash Gallery

    I would like to be able to add music.fla or music.swf files created in flash 8 to a published Lightroom Flash Gallery. Upon examination of the of the gallery.swf and the Index.html files I don't see where I can insert or embed the music files. Has anyone explored this possibility?
    George

    Don't know if this helps you at all. It's not LR of course.....
    In CS2 Adobe added two Flash-based templates you can use for your online Web Photo Gallery. Even cooler is the fact that you can now add a background music track to one of these Flash galleries. Just follow these steps: First find the MP3 audio track you want to use as your background music and rename the file as "useraudio.mp3". Then open your Photoshop CS2 application folder and navigate to Presets>Web Photo Gallery. Inside that folder look for either Flash Gallery 1 or Flash Gallery 2. Depending on which gallery you chose within Photoshop, drag-and-drop your audio file into the corresponding folder. That's it! You've got background music.

  • Lightroom flash gallery

    I am trying to show images via lightroom flash gallery. When I view my site in a browser all ok, the slide show plays no problem. However when I make my site live I can see the page layout but the images do not load, a sign loading appears but continues forever. Can anyone help, cheers, Ted.

    Sean, thanks for the help, but I am still experiencing problems seeing my images using flash pages via lightroom 2. My hosting company say that it is  a scripting error with lightroom, indeed this is their most recent response -
    'Upon visiting tedfoxjoyce.co.uk, I can see there is a problem with your scripts which mean the images don't load, this is not a server side error.  Please contact your developers or the software developers for advice.'
    Any other advice you could offer would be again much appreciated, Ted

  • Flash Gallery Template not working as expected

    I am very new to Flash and barely know ActionScript. I have created a flash gallery using the in built template in Flash8, which works fine. The gallery forms part of my gallery page of a separate SWF flash site. I load the gallery using a loder component. Since the gallery navigation works by targeting the root folder, my site gets screwed up. The question is, how do i modify the ActionScript in the gallery.fla file (flash inbuilt template), so that once loaded into the main site, it doesnt target the root timeline, but targets its own timeline i.e. the gallery's own timeline. I hope i'm making sense?
    Please see below for the code in the Flash Gallery. PS: I didnt write the code - its inbuilt into the template:
    function updateFrame (inc) {
    // send slides to new frame
    newFrame = _level1._currentFrame + inc;
    _level1.gotoAndStop(newFrame);
    updateStatus();
    if (_level1._currentFrame == 1) {
      prevBtn.gotoAndStop(2);
    } else {
      prevBtn.gotoAndStop(1);
    if (_level1._currentFrame == _level1._totalFrames) {
      nextBtn.gotoAndStop(2);
    } else {
      nextBtn.gotoAndStop(1);
    function updateStatus () {
    _level1.statusField = _level1._currentFrame + " of " + _level1._totalFrames;
    function autoplayInit () {
    startTime = getTimer();
    hideControls();
    updateStatus();
    function autoplay () {
    if (autoplayStatus != 0) {
      // get the current time and elapsed time
      curTime = getTimer();
      elapsedTime = curTime-startTime;
      // update timer indicator
      indicatorFrame = int(4/(delay/(elapsedTime/1000)));
      indicator.gotoAndStop(indicatorFrame+1);
      // if delay time if met, goto next photo
      if (elapsedTime >= (delay*1000)) {
       if (_level1._currentframe == _level1._totalframes) {
        _level1.gotoAndStop(1);
       } else {
        _level1.nextFrame();
       autoplayInit();
    function hideControls () {
    nextBtn.gotoAndStop(2);
    prevBtn.gotoAndStop(2);
    updateFrame();
    autoplayStatus = 0;

    use this._lockroot=true in your template.

  • Integrating Lightroom Flash Gallery with Dreamweaver CS3

    I have been unsuccessfully attempting to edit the gallery files created by Lightroom from within Dreamweaver. The index.html file comes up with this message when opened:
    Sorry, this photo gallery requires that scripting be enabled on your web browser and that the Macromedia Flash Player be installed. Download the Macromedia Flash Player
    However, I have the player installed...
    I have tried uploading the files directly to my server from Lightroom but they do not display. The loading icon whirls endlessly and never resolves.
    Does anyone have any advice.
    Thanks in advance.

    You can't edit a flash gallery with Dreamweaver.
    To make changes to the LR flash gallery you would require a copy of the original fla file and a copy of Flash to edit it.
    The index file you see is the one that loads the flash player to play your gallery. The message is what is seen in a browser that doesn't have flash player installed.
    You can make amendments to the gallery itself by changing the xml files, although the changes you can make here can also be made in LR itself so why bother?
    You can embed the gallery itself in your own html page. Using insert, media and then finding the gallery.swf file. As long as you then upload everything in the correct locations (including the scrippt files abd the new html file in the same folder structure it will work.
    There are other flash galleries that are far easier to  embed available. However in order to make serious changes to flash galleries of any type you will require the original fla file and most designers are not going to give you that! Adobe does give away the fla's for the galleries that ship with PS.

  • Expand Lightroom Flash Gallery customization

    I am rather impressed with the image presentation of the Flash Gallery and it would greatly stream line the process of creating web galleries for me but for the limited and clumsy handling of text. There are only two lines availble below the image, title and caption, and they are too close together. I would like more customization in this area including adding a third text area. Something that could be used for adding in-depth descriptions or commentary about the image. Include some control of spacing and fonts for ALL the labels and text.
    Add some additional, optional link placeholders at the top, too. Having just one is ridculous.
    Under 'View' and 'About these photos'.... An entire screen is presented with a total capacity of one and one half lines of characters! Why bother?
    I have looked all over for other gallery templates that would address these issues, but I haven't found one that suits. A few changes to this one and it would be perfect. How about it?
    Thanks for listening

    Works fine on Windows 7 in Firefox 14, but not in IE 9...

  • Output Lightroom Flash Gallery for a website gallery?

    LOVE Bridge's design for a photo gallery!  Is there a way that I can use that flash gallery as a gallery in a web design?  In otherwords, in a web design or as a link.  I have a main page designed in Dreamweaver and want to use the gallery created in Bridge as a means to view my artwork.  Is that possible.  I see that I can publish it, but how can I use as a link.  I thought this more a Bridge Forum question I hope...
    MANY THANKS in advance!!

  • Modifying web photo gallery templates

    Hi all! I created a web photo gallery in Photoshop. I want to modify the template so that I can make the gallery look more in line with the rest of the site I'm designing. I see in the Help Center that I need to modify the "tokens" in the html, but I'm at a loss as to how to do this. Is there a site online somewhere that can explain this to me better? Thank you so much!

    Hi Dave! Thanks! I did do a search, but apparently I didn't put in the right search words, as my search didn't turn up anything useful. I'll check out what you sent me.

  • Add Facebook Comments to a Lightroom HTML Gallery template

    If you prefer displaying your photos on your own website using Lightroom’s web galleries over uploading your photos to Facebook then one of the drawbacks is the lack of commenting. Fortunately, there’s a way to add Facebook Comments to your own website and gallery. See an example here. To implement this solution see the step by step tutorial:
    http://so.ca/?p=265
    Does anyone know if Lightroom templates are over-written when upgrading to a new version of Lightroom? It would be annoying to have to repeat these steps with each version upgrade.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jerfrank,
    If you are looking outside of SharePoint, I would suggest you to check Facebook SDK to integrate with your site.

    And a bing search for "Facebook developer API" could also help you.

  • Lightroom Flash Gallery in Flash Site

    I am working on a Photography Studio's website and was wondering if lightroom would be able to produce flash galleries that just show the image. I am wanting to load the .swf file for the gallery dynamically through the original flash site, wanting an outcome similar to http://ourlaboroflove.com
    Also, I am wanting the images to be loaded dynamically in the flash file because the images will be rather large and I would like to save as much initial load time as possible. Thanks for the help.

    Sean, thanks for the help, but I am still experiencing problems seeing my images using flash pages via lightroom 2. My hosting company say that it is  a scripting error with lightroom, indeed this is their most recent response -

  • Lightroom Flash Gallery Problem

    I created a flash web gallery in Lightroom and added it to
    dreamweaver cs3. When I opened the gallery index page to review and
    adjust in dreamweaver I got a message saying I needed to have Flash
    Player installed in my browser (It was) and scripting available for
    safari (it is). Could not get past this issue.
    When I used the same lightroom gallery only as html I had no
    problems editing and posting the index page and gallery to the web.
    Is there something I'm missing? Is this a Lightroom or
    Dreamweaver or wombat problem?
    Wally Wombat

    For some reason Dreamweaver won't support Flash in the program itself or something like that.  I went through the same thing once.  I dont remember trying it but you could open the index page and hit the live mode button and maybe it'll pop up how it should.  But if you uploaded it to the actual site and went to it in a browser i'm pretty sure it would look normal.  And I was just wondering...but how did you get your html gallery to load up on your website? i'm having the impossible difficulty of achieving that.  I paste the gallery folder into the site folder and i try to change links and html documents so they all correlate but i still get the 404 error when i try to go to it in the browser.  I semi-succeeded one time by moving the index.html files out of the gallery folder with the other html pages that i had but then since they weren't in the folder some of the stuff in the gallery did not work in the browser.  So if you have time I'd much appreciate some help!

  • Keep CS5 HTML "lightroom" web gallery template from renaming files...

    When creating an HTML Web Gallery (using  ‘Lightroom’ template), Bridge CS5 renames the thumbs and large images to  an arbitrary number.  The caption reads as the original file name, but  the actual image has a new name.  This is problematic, as my clients  will right-click selected images from my galleries to save and forward  for approval, but the file name is not the same as the original.
    As an example: VLNK0321.jpg  is renamed as _4856316150.jpg.  (In Preferences/Output, the "Convert  multi-byte file names to Full ASCII" is unchecked.)
    Is  there any way to fix this little (for me--BIG) problem?  Can the script be altered to keep the original file name, not the ten-digit arbitrary number that it currently generates?
    Thanks for any help offered!

    I believe I've discovered the file/script that does the renaming.  I've done some testing, and have been able to change the way Bridge does the changes, but not able to keep the original file name.
    The file is "galleryCreator.jsxinc", found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CS5 Extensions\Adobe Output Module\mediagallery\resources\scripts.
    I'm not a code-guy, so I'm hoping that someone with more smarts than I can help.  Below is the part of "galleryCreator.jsxinc" that does the re-naming.  Simply deleting this entire part of the script renders Bridge unusable.  So allowing the script to create the altername is important.  If the alteration could consist of only adding the "underscore" prefix to the original file name, all would be well...
    Here's the pertient portion of the script:
    AOM.AmgGalleryCreator.createUniqueFileName = function(filePath, jpgFile, createMode)
        var alteredName;
        while (true)
            alteredName = "_";
            for (var i=0; i<10; i++)
                alteredName += Math.floor(Math.random() * 10);
            alteredName += ".jpg";
            var f = new File(filePath + alteredName);
            if (!f.exists)
                break;
        return alteredName;
    I will send a check for $200 to the first person who can rewrite this to simply add the underscore first, then return the original file name instead of the random number generator, and make it work.  Anyone?

  • Can I get Google to correctly show a Lightroom Weg gallery template?

    Hello out there.
    I have a web domain and have created a web gallery in Lightroom to use as a toe in the water website. Unfortunately google is only picking up an xml file rather than the whole site and therefore it cannot be viewed completely in google. I have registered the domain name with google and other search engines. My site can be viewed perfectly by using the generic search bar.
    Does anybody know if it is just a matter of time before google picks it up properly or am I doomed to enlist the services of a web designer?
    Hope you can help me!
    John

    You will need to turn off the instant search feature first. That setting is towards the bottom of the preferences page. Save that change first, then go back into the preferences and set it to 100 results.

  • Embedding Adobe Lightroom 3 Flash Gallery into Website

    Exporting Photo Gallery from LR3 into DWcs5 via Insert>Media>SWF, it imports but is stuck loading. Help?
    This is what it's stuck as: http://voirlamour.com/weddings.html
    The images are all resized to max dimension of 800px, so it's not a size>loading issue. I've Put all files, even dependents (as that helped before).
    This is what the code looks like:

    Help?

    The template that I'm using is a user created one, but basically the Pure White, but shut off rows and columns and turn all the font and everything but the photo borders and the button directions to white. You shouljd end up with nothing but the picture with a border and the buttons below it. Again, it was a lightroom flash gallery. If you look on the website now, I substituted a simpleviewer gallery, so don't use that as a reference anymore. =P What it basically showed up as was the spinning loading circle, but it worked in lightroom fine. Although! It did Not work in Lightroom's Preview in browser. The page opened and remained blank without the loading symbol.
    Identity Plate: Off
    Picture size: X-L (tried with all sizes, really)
    Quality: 80% (have increased and decreased)
    Sharpening: Standard (tried low already)
    Watermarking: Off
    There are 9 images 800px at max point apiece. I'm exporting, not uploading it, to my site root folder in DW for the main page. Then insert>media>swf so on and so forth. =]

  • Photoshop CS4 web gallery template in Lightroom?

    Hi,
    I have a custom web gallery template set up in Photoshop CS4. I would like to use it in Lightroom, but it appears the Lightroom web gallery templates are in a different format (and not so customisable). Is there a way I can use my CS template in LR??

    Thanks Ian,
    I am trying out Lightroom to see if it can replace PS for my needs. So far its not looking good! Looks like I might have to upgrade PS instead. I am preffy proficient with PS and have several custom functions set up. My web gallery integrates with my website and has been developed over a time to get it just how I like it. I can also drop in and edit the HTML to tweak it as I go.
