Modifying "restore defaults" values on X-Fi series cards?

Sometimes my sound card loses the values I have given it and audio won't work. No amount of tweaking seems to fix it until I restore to the default values in the Audio Control Panel. I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the default values. I would like to change them to the values I always end up setting them to anyway so I can just reset the values when it messes up without any need to configure settings in each tab.

Hi Daniel, thanks again for your work. one Question I have a SB 550 and I miss this Card in the description of your pack. and indeed i have problems with the Driver and Windows 8.1. / 10
If installed, the sound of Mp3 with CMSS-3D in Sourround Mode on is fantastic and everything works like a charm for several hours.
Than the channels are changing the Speaker and the sound begins to scratch. It s terrible now and it is inpossible to hear any Music with CMSS-3D in Sourround Mode on. If I try the speaker setup in windows or the creative speaker setup and I click on rear left, I hear the sound of the setup on rear left and rear right at the same time even though I shoul here the sound only from the speaker I clicked on. If so, a fix with a restart is not guaranteed.
It seems to help to use parts of a driver of one of your older packs.
I don`t know, if this problem consists other X-Fis too because I only have the SB550 or is this the reason of the missing of X-Fi Elite Pro in your description?
Thanks again. I use your Software for so many years now. :-)
Edit:
if you should have a similar error and you have an ATI Graphics Card, please try the following. Open the Event Viewer and look for ACEEventLogSource in Information . If there are hundreds of messages, open the task manager and disable Catalyst Control Center Launch in Startup. In most cases, the CCC is no longer needed, once it is set up and you don`t overclock the card. Restart. For me it solved the problems and the Sound is great with my Linn Majik 6 channels power amplifier. The CCC error is quite common. I do not know if it helps to disable the CCC even if you have any error messages. Give it a try :-)

  • How to modify a default report in ByDesign / Time series?

    Hello everybody,
    I am currently working with the HR Dashboard - Employee Time (HCMTLMU01_Q0010) and I am facing a problem with the time series <Year to date>. Actually, this is a problem for all reports with Time Series.
    I would like to know if it is possible to delete the Time Series from a default report? Because I cannot find how to do it.
    I could also do what I want in another way, by modifying the format of the Time Series. Is it possible or not?
    Like changing it from an interval to a fixed date, but keeping the behavior of the criteria from start of the year to current date. But I cannot find how to it neither.
    Are these actions possible or I have to go back to the original data sources used by this reports and create my own?
    Even if I doubt creating the same report "just" without the time series is not as easy as it sounds.
    Thank you all,
    Best regards,
    Jacques-Antoine

    thanks. it seemed like it worked. once. but when i tried to modify the default trans
    ition time, it would not accept the new value.
    also can you explain what is the difference between the unit that are used.
    the entry screen asks for frames, but if you look at the duration in the effects
    edit window the units appear to be min.sec.micros.

  • Programatically modifying Parameter Default Values in CR10 rpts

    If this isn't the correct forum for this, then I apologize.  Here is the situation:
    Our company uses Microsoft Dynamics SL version 7.0 (formerly Solomon), which leverages a "runtime" version of Crystal Reports 10 for some custom reports (simply named "Crystal Reports 10 for Solomon").  These reports are stored as .rpt files but are opened from within Dynamics.  About 15 of these reports have a "client" parameter and I am having to manually refresh the list of default values once a month because new clients are always getting added to the system.  As you can imagine, this is a pain.
    My goal is to write a simple console app that can programatically refresh the default values.  I would then schedule it to run nightly.
    I've downloaded the CrystalReports files for VS2010 (from http://www.businessobjects.com/jump/xi/crvs2010/us2_default.asp) and I almost got it working, but I noticed a problem.  If I save the file using the ReportDocument.SaveAs() method, it seems to save the rpt as a newer version of CrystalReports.  When I open the report with "Crystal Reports 10 for Solomon", I get a message that says "This report was created with a version of Crystal Reports for Solomon which is later than the version you are running.  Some features used in the report may not be supported."
    Is there any way to save it in the native version of the original rpt?  Is there an older version of Visual Studio (such as 2005?) or an older SDK that could be used to save the report as CR10?
            static void Main(string[] args)
                ReportDocument rpt = new ReportDocument();
                rpt.Load(@"P:\Usr_Rpts\08CARDC - pgaule.rpt");
                //open the report
                Console.WriteLine(rpt.ParameterFields["ClientName"].DefaultValues.Count.ToString());
                rpt.ParameterFields["ClientName"].DefaultValues.Clear();
                Console.WriteLine(rpt.ParameterFields["ClientName"].DefaultValues.Count.ToString());
                rpt.SaveAs(@"P:\Usr_Rpts\08CARDC - pgaule.rpt", ReportFileFormat.VSNetFileFormat);
                rpt.Close();

    Hello,
    The short answer is that there's no way to "save down" your reports to the CR10 version without using CR10 (or CR 10 runtimes). The bundled versions of CR that ship with earlier versions of Visual Studio are built on the same CR10 code stream, but they're still not the same version. The warning message would not be eliminated by using an older version of Visual Studio.
    The only way to eliminate the warning message would be to create an application that was created with the stand alone version of CR10. I expect it would be very difficult to find a copy of CR10 Developer edition. CR10 reached End of Life for patch support in January, 2007.
    The warning message you're seeing when you open the updated report is just saying that you're opening a "newer" report with "older" runtime files. You're not really adding any new functionality to the RPT files so the warning can be ignored. If you were trying to use a dynamic cascading parameter (new functionality) this would not work correctly in your Solomon v10 application.
    Even though you can ignore the warning message there's no way to suppress it that I'm aware of.
    Sincerely,
    Dan Kelleher

  • Restore default value for SharePoint Store

    Hi,
    I followed this TechNet article to set up SharePoint App Store!
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fp161236.aspx
    At the end of the article it stands:
    In some cases, for example, when you have an on-premises SharePoint 2013 farm where updates are installed infrequently, you will need to run a cmdlet to update the URL used to point to the SharePoint Store:Set-SPAppStoreConfiguration -Url http://office.microsoft.com -Enable $true
    When I changed this value the users couldn't access the store anymore. I tried to change this value by using a blank value for -Url, but it didn't change the value. Now I have a value that doesn't work and I can't change it back to original value which is
    empty!
    My question is how can I reset this value and remove http://office.microsoft.com from my farm?

  • Modify default value for static parameter field programmatically

    Hi,
    I have my Crystal Reports stored in a BO Enterprise system. I have written a java programm that scans the repository, loads the CR reports one by one into a ReportClientDocument, modifies the data source and then stores the updated report back to repository (it overwrites the existing objects).
    I was even able to modify the default values for the parameters, which are used for scheduling of each report.
    But what I am trying to do know is to overwrite the default value used when invoking the report interactively. This should be the value found under the Default Value field, when the Properties window of the parameter is opened in the CR designer.
    This is what I have tried so far:
    Option 1: First I tried to set the default values using com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument.getDataDefinition().getParameterFieldController().getField(...).getDefaultValues() . The only thing I have managed to do using this approach is to modify the static LOVs that are associated to static parameters. The actual selected value (shown under Default Value in the Properties window for the given parameter field) remained unchanged, when invoking the report in the InfoView or opening it in the CR designer.
    Option 2: I have used com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.desktop.report.IReport.getReportParameters().get(ik).getDefaultValues() to change the default values. I was able to see my changes in the BO repository (using a query on CI_INFOOBJECTS), still the changes did not really have an impact to what is displayed as default value when invoking the report in the InfoView.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    It would be great to know if someone of you has already implemented successfully such a use-case.
    Regards,

  • What are the default values for dom.max_chrome_script_run_time for FFVersions 25 through 30 ?

    I have run across issues that creep up. The timeout setting of
    dom.max_chrome_script_run_time
    seems to be 20 seconds in FF 25.0.1 and 10 seconds in FF 30
    I was wondering if you have release notes for all versions from
    [25, 30] so that I can know all of the different timeout values?
    Thanks,

    Can you post a screenshot that shows a different default value of one of those prefs?
    Note that it is possible to modify the default value via a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder.

  • Allowing user to modify default value - is this possible?

    A report needs to be produced with the default value of an input variable (0FISCPER) set to the current fiscal period - this is used to calculate the YTD and Full Year Forecast of the present year. The default is required to allow the user the view the present day information without having to enter the current date manually - i.e. <b>no pop up variables screen</b>.
    The complication occurs when it is required for the user to be able to modify the input variable to view historical data. Is it possible for the end user to adapt the current default (i.e. the current month) to a month of his/her choice?

    Thanks all - I've been experimenting a bit over the past few days with this. This is my situation so far:
    The Year-to-Date and Forecast variables take in 0F_FPER as its input - 0F_FPER is a user entry variable.
    There is a user exit variable which exists in the system which returns the current fiscal period called 0FPER. I need this variable to be the YTD and Forecast default inputs <i>without the variables entry screen popping up</i>.
    Once the user is in the report, it is required to be possible for them to enter a date (it may be in the previous year) to allow them to view historical data.
    <u>What I am thinking about doing is creating new YTD and Forecast variables that will take 0FPER in as an input.</u>
    However, 0FPER is hardcoded to return the current fiscal year. <b>Is it therefore possible to allow the user to input another value into 0FPER? Would this not conflict with the coding?</b>

  • Modify the preference value of the default route

    Hi
    How to achieve the Below ? any configuration example?
    1)How to modify the preference value of the default route to be less prefered than OSPF External route
    2)how to redistribute the default route as type 2 external route
    3)how to redistribute the default route as type 1 external route
    thanks

    Hi Ibrahim,
    See below:
    1) Can you elaborate on this a bit? Can you explain, specifically, what your trying to accomplish? I don't think you can get a default route into the OSPF RIB that is not external as the default is injected as a Type-5 LSA (e1 or e2). If your talking about getting a router to use the OSPF learned default over the default router learned via some other source (e.g. static, BGP, etc), then it depends on the source because of the Administrative Distance when comparing the two defaults ( the one default learned via OSPF has AD=110, and the other default is AD=X, where X is the Administrative Distance assigned to the protocol).
    2) Use the "default-information originate metric-type 2" command under "router ospf" -- Note this is the default
    3) Use the "default-information originate metric-type 1" command under "router ospf" -- Note, you don't need this in Totally Stubby Area.
    4) For NSSA area you have to use the "area nssa <area_num> default information-originate metric-type <type>" router subcommand. Note your NSSA should have a Type-7 LSA for the default route

    Hi all,

    Hi,
    We are configuring the "UNIX Attributes" tab here in our organization.
    I've noticed that on the Login Shell option it has a default value: /bin/sh
    So I had manually changed it to: /bin/bash
    My question is: Is there a way to change the default value to /bin/bash?
    Searched for it on ADSI edit and no joy.
    PS: Found this website showing that using a special software we can change it.

    I just want to change it without that software =]

    Hi Vandrey,
    Based on my test, we can use the script "Use Get-AdUser / Set-AdObject" to achieve your goal.
    Get-AdUser -Filter * | Set-AdObject -Replace @{unixhomedirectory='/bin/sh','bin/bash'} -WhatIf

  • Don't restore form values on tab restore

    A part of my website uses a lot of forms on a single page. On the page, you can filter the items (each item has his own form) and alter them. A single entry looks like this: [name] [select for status] [other select]. Other significant things are that the document has a expire date in 1981 (to enforce an always up to date page) and that changing the value in the select results in triggering an AJAX function.
    This works perfectly, except for a single thing. When filtering for status id 1, you get a few item's in return. Let's say that the result of the filter are 5 entry's. I change entry #2's status, thus triggering an AJAX function. this works great, but here's the problem: When closing the tab and re-opening using tab restore, the values of the select become messed-up.
    Because of the enforcement of an always fresh copy of the page, the browser will fetch a new copy of the page. Entry #2 has now disappeared (I'll keep calling it that, even tough it has disappeared due to the filter). Now here's the problem: Firefox tries to restore the select's value. Entry #3's status has now the same status of entry #2, #4 has #3's status and so on.
    I've managed to fix this on other browsers (Chrome, IE) with this little piece of jQuery:
    $(document).ready(function() {
    $("form[class^='startingformname']").each(function() {
    this.reset();
    This works perfectly, except for Firefox, which seems to ignore the reset call...
    As this text is rather long, I'll keep my question short: How do you prevent Firefox from restoring the values of the form (preferably: keep them on the selected item given in the HTML)? The user now always gets a fresh copy of the page, and Firefox tries to restore the old values on that page, even if the HTML has changed.

    '''''Edit: I just realized that tab restore works differently than Back. So please disregard this example.'''''
    But if you reload the page clearing the cache Ctrl+Shift+r, do the form fields revert to their original "as served" values? That's the typical behavior.
    Here is a comparison of identical forms, the only difference is that the "B" version sets cache-control:no-store in the headers. The expected behavior is that you can submit the form on the "A" page and go back and see the modified values, but when you submit the form on the "B" page and go back the form should have only its default values.

  • Will default macros work  with Time series keyfigures???

    Hi,
    I wanted to update time series keyfigures using Default macros. For example, i wanted to populate safety stock in a time series keyfigure while i'm running the heuristics in background.
    Whole idea of doing it is to do reporting i.e. we couldnot extract safety stock because its an auxialiary key figure.
    If someone has done this on a better way, can you please share with me?
    And also i wanted to know whether default macros work with time series key figures.
    Any help is rewarded with pionts.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jagadeesh.

    Hi,
    I think i'm not clear on what i have posted so let make it very clear abt my scenario.
    We wanted to do reporting on SNP planning area, where we take report on
    Safety stock, Stock on hand which are auxialiry key figures currently.
    As we cannot extract data on auxialiry key figures, we wanted to track
    those information on Time series key figures.For that, we have modified
    the macros and copied the auxialiry key figures into time series key
    figures. All the macros are Default macros, all the prerquisites are been set and all other macros which are supposed to run before this macro, also been set.
    We are not running the bcakground jobs for this macros ( exclusively), instead we are running the heuristics in background and we assume that all the default macros will get executed once the heuristics is done i.e values in auxialiry key figures are been copied to time series key figures.
    Now we found out that Times series key figures are not getting updated
    using Default macros.
    Nowi think i make you all clear. Somehow my questions are still not answered.
    1. Without running background jobs seperately for macros, will time series key figures get updated?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jagadeesh.
