Modprobing sensor module not working (lm_sensors)

I'm trying to set up lm_sensors and have already successfully run sensors_detect. Yet, when I run modprobe I get an error message:
sudo modprobe smsc47m1

Well, it can be fixed, however it is in a very difficult spot, and it may cost me more to replace than what I can get out of it. I don't care to pay for a replacement since my warranty is up, because I already have an iPhone 5. I want to sell the iPhone4, and not for $75 either because you can't make a phone call unless its on speaker. I didn't know what other people had to say, so I just wanted some feedback on my options. Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Try the user troubleshooting steps, restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If none of these help, then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the Apple store to have the hardware checked.
Also, if you have a case on the phone, remove the case and attempt to make a phone call to see if sometihing in the case is blocking the sensor.

Update: I seem to have fixed the problem! I went to the "summary" section of my iPod after clicking on the device on the left side of iTunes. I checked the box that allowed me to "manually manage music and videos" and applied this option. The songs are syncing! And, yay, they're playing on my iPod now! Hopefully, this helps anyone else who might have this problem. There might be other issues, but this is working for now.

Before EHP4 upgrade this functional module working fine, but after updated users are not visible.
We have chekced if the users are assigned directly users are visible but indirect (Position Based) assignment users are not apprearing.
Pl check the fucntion module with given roles below and identify the root cause,

I do not think this BAPI is meant to be called by anyone but the application using it, and its functionality may therefore change without notice.
What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there's a better way to do that...

Tecra A11-11L - Fingerprint sensor is not working

HI,
I have got a problem with my Tecra notebook. The Fingerprint sensor is not working since yesterday. It also disappears from the hardware manager. I tried to reinstall the utility, but the setup.exe won't execute succesfully. When I try to install the Utility directly from the amd64 directory the installation will be succesfully, but the software can't connect to the fingerprint sensor. I also tried to install the original Windows image, but the sensor won't work.
Do you have any ideas?

You could try a BIOS Update and set the BIOS to defaults. If it still doesn't appear in Device Manager, the reader may be faulty or there is a connection problem. I'm guessing the notebook is still under warranty, so you may need to send the notebook to a Toshiba Service Center for repair.

I see that you are having a problem with your fingerprint sensor and I will be happy to help. You haven't listed your operating system, so I am going to assume that it is the Windows 7 that came with the computer. If you have upgraded to 8 or 8.1 please let me know. I have included links to the software that you are going to need, the HP SimplePass and the Validity Sensor software. Install both of them and let me know how it goes.

You’re having a problem with the fingerprint reader not working.
Go into device manager and uninstall the Biometric device. Don’t restart the computer.
Go to HP.com and update the Fingerprint reader, this will be the newest driver.
Here is a link to the update.
Also update the BIOS to make sure that the device is being detected.

Tecra M5: finger print sensor is not working properly since a drink was spilt into the keyboard

My finger print sensor is not working properly since a drink was spilt into the keyboard. When booting up, it automatically "fails" 5 times in a row (without any attempts to swipe a finger), then defaults to password entry to boot the machine's hard drive.
This is not a problem and all i want to do is disable the finger print sensor, but cannot work out how to do this. I've tried uninstalling the driver, which I seemed to do without any problems, but when rebooting, the sensor still seems active, and still goes through the same process.
Everything else works fine and this is just a minor niggle, but I'd like to remove the annoyance of it beeping at me 5 times while it does its thing!
Can anyone tell me how I completely disable it?

Have you removed the fingerprint software? If yes check if in device manager is listed some unknown device. Please post the result.
Maybe you can try to disable this unknown device and it will not be recognized as new hardware every time when you start the notebook.

I also have iPhone 5s on day one and it's working since. When it's not registering, I just clean the Home button and it works straight away.
Did you try when registering fingerprint using all angles? It should learn the more you use it.
Did you clean the sensor with a soft cloth?
