I don't know how many and how mods operate here, but if you see number of useful replies by Moderators in 3000 notebook forum during last week, customers tend to feel estranged. There are many issues which only Mods can understand, answer or can get the answers. Probably it is too big task to handle so many threads on individual case basis by few, but your presence in the forum is always welcom.

Hardly, and no.
The moderators are busy... moderating the forum. We're constantly scanning the boards, moving threads to their proper place, archiving messages, working with forum members who don't know or understand forum rules (or refuse to follow them), breaking up arguments and, in general, just keeping things tidy around here. We do answer some questions (some of us more than others - I usually just point people to info via links; others give extensive technical instructions or information), but mostly we're the janitors.
And as erik said, most of us don't none of the moderators work for Lenovo and don't have hands-on experience with or access to all the systems. Those of us who are volunteers are moderators or superusers from other forums, so we're jumping back and forth all the time.
That's why we depend so much on forum members like you to share your experience and knowledge with others. You know things that we may not, and the more people share, the more valuable the knowledgebase here becomes for everyone.

Hi I had perches one iphone4 from Hong Kong last month but after coming back i try to restore my iphone but it's give error 3194 then i try to restore it in recovery mode but still can not restore error -1 and now i cannot get out of recovery mode please help me to shovel this problem.
Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

I was restoring my iPhone 4 when it showed to connect to itunes. i did, and got the message,"itunes has detected a device in recovery mode, please restore your device before it can be used with itunes" after i clicked the restore button. the message kept showing up, and i only had the option of updating and restoring. i waited three hours for it to restore, but there was no response with the iphone. HELPHELPHELP!!!!!!!!

I seem to have lost carrier settings on my iPad1,I've tried a restore and update but get a message about the original sim card,which I still have but is inactive,really inconvenient as I can only use in wifi spots and off line mode,please help,sibear.
You might want to download something called an undelete utility. These can find files and recover them even after they appear to have been lost. There are some undelete utility programs that are free. Look at tucows.com
Also, it appears that you have POSSIBLY overwritten the actual files, which you moved manually, with I don't know what, which you moved in PSE's folder location view.
Next, in the future ... NEVER (that's: don't even think about it) move your photos in Windows. NEVER. NEVER. Not ever. Not once. This always (that's ALWAYS, as in 100% of the time) causes problems and usually makes things difficult to fix.
Lastly ... make regular backups! I must say this in the forums about seventy bazillion times a month. Make regular backups! Regular depends on how often you take photographs and edit them. Since my photographic activity usually happens on the weekends, I make backups every Sunday night. You may need a different schedule, depending on your activity level. MAKE REGULAR BACKUPS! -
Help urgently needed please ! My Iphone 4 is on silent vibration mode, received a call and has frozen with the Iphone unusable and yet vibrating. I have tried switching off, connecting to power, connecting to laptop and removing SIM card ???

If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this. It might help.

<E-mail Edited by Host>Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.

LC Output doens't print markups and comments
Hi folks!
We are using the print service form LC Output. I'm able to print (physical) PDF documents by the service but it doesn't print the whole content of the document. The markups and comments aren't be printed! What do we have to do that the print service prints also the markups and comments rather than only the document layer? Is there a service configuration comparable to Adobe Reader print settings? There you can choose between 'print document', 'print document and markups', and so on

Please find the following answer from our escalation team to your request to handle Markups using LC Output ES.
i Print service (DSC) does not have an option to switch between Document and Document with Markups printing mode. It is not a bug but a Print DSC limitation. We would need to log an enhancement to cerate a DSC that can print Document with Markups.
i The only workaround is having an end user to print a PDF and select the desirable printing option. Unfortunately this workaround is not suitable for all scenarios. -

Whats the difference between VISA and GPIB?
The reason i am asking this question stems from a problem i am having.
I am using an MXA N9020A to aquire Burst Power measurements and i'm using labview to automate and issue the commands. If i connect to the device using VISA (which is how i pretty much have connected to other devices) and i issue a command :INIT:TXP it will start the burst power and then freeze the measurement disallowing me from changing channels to measure other channels' burst power. If i use the GPIB VI instead it will not do this and I am capable of channel hopping to measure other channel powers. I really dont have a reason to use VISA other than to keep it uniform with everything else in the application but why is this?Hi Brent,
Thank you for your quick response. This should not be happening, as the VISA VIs merely make calls to the NI-488.2 DLLs. Which version of NI-VISA and NI-488.2 are you using? Could you also attach both of your VIs (the 488.2 one that works and the NI-VISA one that doesn't)? Also please perform one NI-Spy capture for each VI, and attach the two resulting screen shots. If you need assistance performing the NI-Spy capture, you can find more details here.

LV 8.2 won't associate with VIs and uses 7.1 RTE?!?!
Hi,
I'm in the process of creating a new exe of our project. A strange thing keeps happening and I don't know what's wrong. I had LV 7.1 installed on the machine, as well as LV 8.2 to transition to the new version. I created an .lvproj and built a new .exe of our application. Lo and behold, it flashes the LV 7.1 flash screen and then asks me to select the VI I want to run, when i select the main VI of the application, it simply gives me an Error 9 message and says that that vi is compiled in version 8.2 of LV and won't open. I tried right-clicking on a vi and trying to force it to associate with 8.2, that didn't work. I uninstalled 7.1 and the 7.1 RTE entirely and when I try to run my LV 8.2 built exe it STILL manages to use the 7.1 run time from somewhere.
After that I tried to re-associate them with 8.2 yet again to no avail. When i run my exe it just tries to open them in the non-existing 7.1 RTE and re-associates them all with 7.1. Please help, i think this is a bug.Justin,
Thanks for the reply. I do understand how bizzare this must seem to you, I had the same reaction. I know perfectly well the behavior of LV built exe, been using it for 5 years. The problem here is the bizzare behavior of the .exe (any in fact, i've built several test vis and exes) on 3 different machines.
I'll try to explain what's happening:
1) I create a new project
2) I add my Test.vi to the project
3) I set my Test.vi as the startup vi (Test.vi simply calls my main vi via the vi reference).
4) I build the exe and execute it
5) Upon execution, an LV 7.1 splash screen pops up for a brief second and I get an Open VI file dialog box asking me to select a VI I want to open, all the VI files inside that window take on the appearance of LV7.1 icons, instead of 8.2. If I try to select a VI from that window, I get LabView load error 9: VI version (8.2) is newer than LabView version (7.1).
I'm used to that error after you recompile a 7.1 vi to 8.2, but I don't even have LV7.1 installed. It seems like the exe is trying to use LV7.1 RTE to run itself instead of 8.2. I though I have 8.2 RTE automatically installed by LV Dev, but I guess not since it doesn't show in Add/Remove Programs menu, but it DOES show up in MAX under software, go figure. I wish I could get someone in NI to look into this. I've never had a problem like this, it is happening on 3 PCs here and is taking up a lot of work time. I have source code I can send as well as a short video of what's happening on my machine. -
Suggestion and Comments for a w530 unit

I've been using macbookpro for almost 4 years, and since I heavily use AutoCad, Sketchup and Lightroom on a daily basis it has been a bothersome to rebooth from one OS to another. I have been looking at the W530 for quite sometime and decided to make the swtich. I hope someone can enlighten me on how to go about the purcahsing of W530. From Lenovo site, i intend of getting this specification and minor upgrade of some specs:

Questions:
1. If in case, I need to add additional ram, would it be okey to just buy an additional 2 pcs of 8GB of Corsair Vengance, or do i need to buy a new 4 pcs of 8GB? so the total ram would be 32GB. Or would it be wise to just get the 32GB of Ram from Lenovo?
2. I plan to use the 500gb HDD in the hard drive caddy and use the msata and 2.5" ssd for primary drive, What would be the best way to copy the Windows and Lightroom from the HDD to msata drive (256gb adata)?
3. How come some unit with the w530 comes with a color sensor option and the higher w530 specs does not? would it be wise to get the Color sensor/ calibration from Lenovo or Just get other calibration software? and can you suggest in your experience a good calibration software for w530?
4. and lastly, does all w530 whether it be lower end specs or high end spec has a msata connection? Sorry of the ignorance.

I'm almost in your same boat; used a Macbook when travelling for AutoCAD and I just ordered a W530 (should arrive Thursday) after a long period of agonizing of the purchase. I'll update this thread once I've used it a bit if you'd like, but I have some comments on your post:
1. My understanding is that RAM works best when all sticks are of the same capacity. Personally, I ordered the W530 with the least RAM possible and am replacing all factory with Corsair Vengance.
2. Use drive cloning software.(check out this site: http://lifehacker.com/5839753/the-best-disk-cloning-app-for-windows). I'm eschewing the mSATA and going with a 500gb SSD (found the Samsung 840 for $279) as the main drive with the 500gb HDD in the ultrabay (mSATA slot vacant). Why do you need the hard drive caddy?
3. Not sure. I didn't go top-of-the-line as you are so my config had the color sensor option.
4. All have the mSATA.
