Module gallery, light box

I have installed module_gallery with one photo to open up a light box image on the home page on this site: marinwaldorf.org. See http://screencast.com/t/brdrd0j9XKS

My client wants the light box to open up as someone lands on the homepage rather than as a link on the homepage. Is this possible? Can you explain how to do this or point me in a direction?

Hi I am trying to create a grid report like a light box type display in SSRS. I want to display images horizontally across the report and then down. I am using VS 2013. I understand from my searching that this can be done using a matrix control and grouping
using an expression to limit the number of cells displayed across the page (in my case 3) and this works partly. I get a display where my images are off set like below:

I can't work out how to have each row of images progress down the page so that I see each row of three starting from the left and not off set like this:

According to your description, you want to display values in a matrix from left to right and each row align to left, right?
In Reporting Services, values in matrix cells display aggregate values scoped to the intersection of the row and column groups to which the cell belongs. If there is no corresponding value for each intersection, it’s possible that the matrix will display
like the first structure you mentioned. In your scenario, if you want to display as the second structure, you could embed the matrix in a list. Please refer to steps below:
1. Query the table except the null values, then create a list and a matrix, then drag the matrix into the list, and delete the first row of the matrix.
2. The final design should look like below. Then preview the report.

Interactive Prototype - How do you simulate light boxes with buttons? (CS4)

I am in the process of mocking up an interactive prototype of the homepage of a web application. On this homepage, there are various links(text with slices) and fields that when clicked on will trigger a dialog to appear over the top of the page similar to a "light box" effect seen on many other websites/applications.
The workflow I am trying to simulate is as follows:
User clicks the text link (state 1)
Dialog appears on top of current page (state 2)
User fills in necessary fields then clicks save button (state 2)
Dialog disappears and returns user to base state (state 1)
The base state of the page is in state 1. I placed the images/content for the light box in state 2 and then added an onclick image swap behavior to have the link in state 1 trigger the light box (also a slice) to appear in state two. That all worked fine until I added a save button symbol from the common library to the lightbox dialog in state 2. When I did that, Fireworks automatically brought be back to state 1 and the button appears on both/all states no matter what I try to do. Also, my attempts to add an onclick behavior to the save button to bring me back to state 1 haven't worked either.
So my questions are:
How do I get that button only to appear on state 2?
The "hotspot" for that button or any slice/hotspot in any state appears active for all states but are only valid for when that certain dialog appears. Is there a way to manipulate button/slice hotspots across states so they are only active in the correct states?
How do I get the Save button to bring me back to the base state?
Mocking up a lightbox type dialog seems like it would be a pretty common thing to do so I am hoping this is just a simple mistake I am making... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion, however, that doesn't appear to be working. I've uploaded the file that I am using as my proof of concept. You can download it via the link below. I changed the button so it's only a graphic with a slice over it but there are still two issues. When the save button is clicked the state does not change back to state 1. The second problem is that even in state 1, the active area for the save button slice in state 2 is still active even though the button is not there. Any thoughts?

Scaling photos into Light Box or Slide show

I will look for a tutorial on this but...
I dont seem to be able to find a way that images (photos) of different sizes can be correctly displayed to size and proportion in a Light Box or Slide Show.
I have tried the "fit" and proportion" options to no avail. I thought these might auto scale the photos to fit but no luck.
Am I missing something or do these assets need to be created to size?
If so ...how does one determine the size? ( I looked for the size properties of the Lightbox "screen")

Not quite what I was hoping for but at least I know now.
How does one get a measure on the "image box"? (trial and error?)
I guess one needs to know so that one can create images scaled to that size or a tad smaller.
Thinking ...Maybe I just pick a size for images and then scale the box to fit in the design mode.

I just want to know if there is a way to add a link to Light box? , so when you click the image light box opens and you see a link displayed under the image. Where would I add the link, between what tags?

You will notice that the original is wrapped in an anchor element, stopping us from placing an anchor element around the title. Yet in the finished markup, the caption does not reside within an anchor element. To wrap the caption in an anchor element we have to fool the browser by using character entities for less than (<) , greater than (>) and quote (') signs. Adding light box to thumbnail images

I have been trying to find out how to get images opening up in the main browser, I have been directed to light box, but I am getting very confused with how to create such effect.
I am baiscally trying to get lightbox working when you click a thumbnail image in flash!
would anyone beable to direct me to any tech notes and/or example files on how to do this

Captivate 7 question - slide with audio and light boxes not functioning properly

I am currently working a project and cannot figure something out.
I have a slide with 9 smartshape buttons on it. When each button is clicked it brings up a lightbox. Each lightbox has it's own close button. When the lightbox is closed by the user then the user immediately sees the 9 button screen and can choose another button to view and read, and so forth. I have the lightboxes working fine.
Now, I added text to speech. It is a mere 15 seconds in length, but it contains some important content and the directions. I want the text to speech audio to stop playing if the user goes ahead and clicks on one of the 9 buttons which then brings up a lightbox. I want the audio to then resume when they close the lightbox. OK I have all of that working in a technical sense.
I've also tried this advanced action, but this stops the Audio entirely, however it does solve the autoadvance issue. so I am just trading issues.
I also have "back and next" nav buttons on the slide, so the user must click one or the other to proceed off the slide. Ok those worked.
Here is the issue. Once I added the text to speech audio, at the end of 17.3 seconds, whatever lightbox the user may be viewing and they hit the close lightbox button, captivate automatically sends the user to the next slide. No clicking "Next" or anything. I can't figure out why this is occurring.
Prior to adding audio the slide worked as it should with the user being able to click each of the 9 buttons to "read some info" then close it and click another button on the slide, etc. They could do this in any order they wanted.
When I added the audio, I set the advanced actions so if a user clicked on one of the buttons, the audio would stop playing until they came back to the main screen. Ok no problem getting that to function - except it stops functioning at the end of 17.3 seconds.
What am I missing?

Correct I have only 15 seconds of audio with the slide. no audio with any of the light boxes. Those are "read only" light boxes.
If the user clicks a shape button early, before the entire audio has played, I want the audio to stop, so the user can read the lightbox info, then as they click back to the slide away from the lightbox, I want the audio to resume playing - so they can hear the rest of the audio. But, this is where is doesn't function properly as when the audio finishes playing at 15 seconds. The next shape button the user clicks on to shows the lightbox, but when they click to close the lightbox, the lightbox closes then sends the user to the next slide. They haven't had a chance to view any of the other shape buttons and the information found in those corresponding light boxes.
I hope this clarifies.

Master slide "light box"

So my search continues...I need an app that will go through my HD and put all of my 1000's of Keynote slides individually (from ALL of my presentations) in one catalog or "light box." In this way, I can organize them and put together new talks quickly by simply selecting slides and dragging them to a new presentation. Any ideas?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. The Master Slides are not locked, per se, although certain elements within the Master might be. The Arrange and Format menus are context sensitive.
Try this:
Open the Master Navigator (slide the navigator view down with the handle at the top (looks like two parallel lines) to expose the Master Slides.
Select the Master Slide you wish to modify and select a line of bulleted text then Text Inspector > Bullets > select the bullet style you want.
Return to normal editing (close the Master Slide navigator) and create a new slide and then select the modified bulleted master from the toolbar pull down menu.
I think you will find that the bullet has changed to your new style. It works for me.

Light Box Stacks

I like Apertures "Light Boxes" that let me save layouts of image considerations. But then I can't stack them.
How can I layout a light table from a stack (to see 'em all)?
Once several photos are Stacked, only the top one seems to be draggable to the table...
(this kinda thing would be better if there was a "Save" I could revert to)

I think the OP is referring to an effect seen on some websites, particularly those with image galleries.
Selecting an image causes it to increase in size, which is sometimes animated. The rest of the page is darkened and the image appears to float on top.

Not sure why anyone would need a plugin to do this though. It's just a two layer composite with a DVE move, cropping and a bit of color correction.

Light Box

I have a thumbnail single image on a page which I would like to open it up in a larger version but in a light box. What is the best way to do this?

"Blank spot"? I think, even the most easy to use software needs a little bit of understanding, practicing and learning..
Try it this way:
1. Place the composition widget "Lightbox display" onto your canvas.
2. Select the second and third thumbnail and delete them.
3. Select the first thumbnail and choose the Fill command in the upper control strip and select an image.
4. Repeat this for all necessery states.
5. Configure the widget using the blue arrow top right of it.:
6. Resize the target area of the wigdet as big as you want.
7. Place an image "into" the target area.
Preview the page in browser.
Too much "palaver" as well? Then please forgive me …

Light box view shortcut?

In the Help menu, there is an entry named "Keyboard Shortcuts".
I didn't find "Light Box" in the manual.
Are you asking about "Light Table" ?
If it's that there is no "inthebox" shortcut but you may define one by yourself.
Enter the Finder then
Help > Mac
search for "Creating keyboard shortcuts for applications"

Light box loads first image everytime

Hello..
I have an issue with a export HTML output of my site... when I click on any of the light box images it always loads the first time regardless of which one I have clicked on... you click off it and click back on to another photo and it works fine...
Its not just the one lightbox... I have quite a few on my site and they all load the first image each time regarless of what you click on...

Adding client login to light box help

Hi again. I was wondering how i can add a client login to this page. i did published it to adobe BC. But i am trying to figure out how to make the light box secure. now under the test light box i am trying to add the log in. . now once the login is complete then it goes to the box its self. so the client has to login before the click on the light box.

Light box not centred?

Hi.

Thank for getting back.
The picture is centred. With the text on the right side it makes it look odd to me. The picture and the text should be more to the left. The light box does not centre the same way a HTML web page does. Is there something I can do to make it work the way a regular web page centres all the content on the page within the window. Muse centres page content perfect for the page, but not with a light box. I added extra padding on the picture to have enough room to include the text but this did not help. I went back to the current version. Any ideas would be great.
