MOH Fixed Audio Source Configuration CCM 4.1

Hy,
Can anyone help me with the configuration of MOH Fixed Audio Source?
I want to have as MoH a radio brodcasting conected in CCM in LINE-IN (sound card).
I have in Control Panel, Sound and Multimedia Properties, Audio Tab, Sound Recording Preferred devices: Emu10Kx Audio [3400] .
I have to put the exact name in MOH Audio Source Configuration web page, at FIxed Audio source. But here I'm not allowed to use [ ].
How can I configure MoH to use the Radio connected in Line-In ?
Thank you a lot,
Bogdan

The Cisco supported card is :
? Griffin Technologies iMic USB
A USB sound device supported in Cisco CallManager Release 3.3(5) and later, with Microsoft Windows 2000 (OS 2000 version 2.7 or later). This device is supported on all Cisco MCS-78xxH or MCS-78xxI servers with 3.0 GHz or greater processor.
Here are the instructions on how to set Fixed Audio Source up :

the soundcard that you installed. This name must be entered exactly as found in the
'Sounds and Multimedia Properties' window in the control panel. The name is also case
sensitive.

  • MOH Fixed Audio-Recognizing MOH-USB-Audio on 7835

I am trying to set up a Cisco MOH-USB-Audio card (which is actually a C-Media UTA3100).
On a MCS7825 with OS 2000.4.4aSR8 this is no problem. With a MCS7835 and same OS it doesn't work.
It displays the card in Hardware-Device manager.
But in Control Panel-Sounds&Multimedia-Audio-Sound Recording-Preferred Device I get no recording Devices.
So it seems to be platform dependant.
Does anyone have an idea how to get it to work on the MCS7835 ?

  • MOH Audio Sources

Looking through the CUCM admin guide regarding MOH it states this:
"When the administrator imports an audio source  file, the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration window  interface processes the file and converts the file to the proper  format(s) for use by the music on hold server. "
    But later it says that:
"The Music On Hold feature does not support the MP3 format."
Does this mean that CUCM will not be able to convert MP3 files to the proper formats described above?
I have a client with a number of mps files from a legacy phone system that they'd like to use on CUCM for MOH.

    Hi,
Only a wave file with the format stated below can be uploaded to the cucm.
    •16-bit PCM wav file
    •Stereo or mono
    •Sample rates of 48 kHz, 32 kHz, 16 kHz, or 8 kHz
Cucm cannot convert mp3 to .wav format.

  • Music On Hold Audio Source File Restrictions

What is the length and codec restriction for Music on Hold audio source file?
    thanks,
    Punam

    Hi Punam,
    I don't believe there are any size restrictions;
    Here is how to change the MOH for CallManager;
    Music On Hold Audio Sources
An MOH audio translator service converts administrator-supplied audio sources to the proper format for the music on hold server to use. The audio translator uses two parameters, an input directory and an output directory. You can configure the input directory, which defaults to C:\Program Files\Cisco\MOH\DropMOHAudioSourceFilesHere, on a per-service basis. The output directory, a clusterwide parameter, contains a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) name to a shared directory on the default MOH TFTP directory. For whatever directory is specified, append \MOH.
When the administrator drops an audio source file into the input directory, the MOH Audio Translator processes the file and then moves it into the output directory along with any files that are generated. Cisco CallManager supports most audio source file formats as input sources, including wav and mp3 files. After the input audio source is converted, an audio source file exists for each codec type that the music on hold server supports. Supply the highest quality source that is available.
For each music on hold audio server, you may define up to 50 audio sources. A Cisco CallManager Administration window supports addition, update, and deletion of each audio source. The music on hold server also supports one fixed input source. The system supports the following codecs: G.711 a-law/mu-law, G.729a, and wideband.
Note: Because the G.729a codec is designed for human speech, using it with music on hold for music may not provide acceptable audio quality.

  • Griffin iMic fixed audio with callmanager 5.0

Has anyone had any luck getting the Griffin iMic USB fixed audio adapter working with CallManager 5.0 linux? Do I need to load any special drivers on the server?

I went through the Griffin iMic issue a month ago for an existing CCM 4.1 deployment.
After seeing on Griffin's website that their iMic is/was only certified for Windows XP and Mac OSX, I contacted their tech support. Below is their response to the Cisco MoH URL.
"That page is a Cisco document, not a Griffin document. We have never claimed compatibility with that system on our website or in any of our documentation. We have contacted Cisco a number of times asking them to remove the document because it has not been authorized by our company. If Cisco says they support it, then perhaps try contacting them, but we do not support the use of iMic in any other systems than Mac OSX and Windows XP SP 2."
I contacted the TAC and was given the same information that was found in the MoH documentation. No clarification.
I then contacted Cisco's PDI help desk and received the below responses.
Initial response: "The iMic cards that were supported are no longer in production. If you were able to get an older iMic card that supported Windows 2000, it will work with on the CallManager 3.3 servers, and will be supported by Cisco TAC. But the newer iMic2 cards are not supported."
Final response: "Since those cards are no longer available, we do not have a supported sound card for CallManager 4.x. I'm not sure if this is a valid option for you or not, but in a few weeks Cisco will have it's own sound card for CallManager 5.0, you could upgrade your CallManager."
    Hope this helps,

Well i hope i could explain my self clear enough. Just put the airplay icon back in the music app. Thanks for your attention.

iTunes Radio is currently only available in the US - if you are in the US then try logging out and back into your account via Settings > iTunes & App Store, and if that doesn't fix it then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Jawbone2: Must choose Jawbone from Audio Source for Incoming Calls

Had the original Jawbone and just got the new Jawbone. Love it except I must choose Audio Source>Jawbone for all incoming calls. All I had to do with the original Jawbone was 'slide to answer'.
I did unpair the headset, turned off Bluetooth and did reset the Jawbone but re-pairing the headset.
    Any ideas?

I have the same problem. I emailed customer support at Jawbone and this is the response I got back from them. So I followed the instructions but I had little hope. I did it 2x. No help.
    Response (Chris) - 06/12/2008 10:57 AM
    Hi Ross,
I understand your problem and have a fix for it. I have experienced the same problem. To fix this reset the Jawbone and iPhone and then repair them. Also make sure that if this happens again that you use the headset because the New Jawbone has an idle feature that goes in to effect after 15 minutes.

So I had an original Jawbone and didn't have this problem on my iphone. Thank god you guys made a magsafe type connector for the power cord.
Anyways, when I receive a phone call on my
iphone if I use my phone to accept the call, the phone answers and says that it is using the headset. But I can't hear anything. But if I put the phone up to my ear I can hear the conversation. So then I have to go to the audio source on the iphone and change it to headset.
But if I answer it using the jawbone button it works fine. I know the answer is to just use the headphone. But I didn't have to with the old one. What else can be done.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Audio source missing

The audio source option seems to have dissappeared from my Iphone4, can anyone help with how to restore please.

I had the same thing happen to me today. After trying to reconnect and pair my headset whithout any luck, I decided to just power down my iphone 4...wait 30 sec., and power back up. Nothing like rebooting to fix the simple things.
Once phone was back up, headset worked, and audio source was once again visible :-)

  • Mini to control audio sources (hi-fi)

Can a mac mini be set up to control audio sources instead of a traditional hi fi? For example, use the mini to play cd's, and to control itunes libraries on the mini (and remotely from other computers in the home network)? Would I use the apple remote and a flatscreen TV for a menu? Would I need a keyboard also?
If there's a one stop shop on apple or third party to clarify these options that would be great info.
    Thanks much

Yes to pretty much everything you asked. You can host music and other media on a mini for sure. You can control it locally or remotely. You can elect to use the Apple remote with Front Row or you can use a keyboard. You can use a TV as a display or go with a headless server, whichever makes more sense for what you have in mind.
Basically the mini is a pretty flexible device and you can roll it how ever you want within the context of everything you asked. It just depends on what you want from it as to how it would be configured.

  • "Problem with Your Audio/Video Configuration"

"I Tunes Has Detected a Problem with Your Audio/Video Configuration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly."
Does anyone know why I'm getting this error message? After getting it, I usually cannot hear any sound on I Tunes or other media players.
I've already tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers and it doesn't help. I also have the latest version of I Tunes. Any ideas?

I had this problem also and uninstalled and then reinstalled Quick-time yesterday and the problem was solved.
However when I turned on my PC today, I had the same problem again but this time uninstalling and reintsalling Quick-time is not working.
Anyone any other suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

  • No sound when switching audio sources after 12.1.1.4 update. Requires iTunes restart every time.

    System Details:
    Windows 8.1 pro - 64 bit
    i5-3320M @2.6GHz
    12GB Ram
    Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E430
    Issue:
Before the 12.1.1.4 iTunes update I could simply turn on my bluetooth speaker or headphones and both Windows and iTunes would automatically switch to that audio source, even mid-song. I could turn the speakers on and off multiple times and the sound would almost instantaneously switch between sources without fail. Now I have to restart iTunes to hear music after turning on my bluetooth speakers or headphones. Itunes simply stops playing music, although the pause button does not revert to the play symbol, but the track progress indicator stops moving.
    Please help!
    Thanks.

Make sure you have the latest version of QuickTime (7.6.6) installed - if this is missing or out of date there may be no audio output from iTunes (including, but not limited to, playback through Bluetooth devices) or playback may be of poor quality.
Also check iTunes' Play Audio Using setting in Edit > Preferences > Playback (you will have to restart iTunes for any changes to take effect).  In most cases selecting Direct Sound addresses playback issues when Windows Audio Session is active (though some users have reported the reverse),
If neither of these solves your problem try installing this alternate version: iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards).  The "for older video cards" label is a little misleading, as this also fixes some playback issues, QuickTime and Outlook interoperability errors, and problems with other third-party applications.

  • [Solved] No more than one audio source at a time.

I used alsa, now I'm using pulseaudio. The exact problem and all errors persist regardless of that.
If any program uses audio, even if it isn't at the moment doing that, I can't use other audio sources. For example, speaker-test says "Playback open error: -16,Device or resource busy" when another program that uses audio is running.
When vbox is running, without immediately playing any sound, I also have this problem. But I avoided it lately by setting "Null audio driver" in vbox settings so that I can listen to music while working in windows. Even when speaker-test is running, mpd, youtube, skype, vbox, can't play any sound.
Something maybe worth noting is that I recently had this problem resolved: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=184314 . I don't know if I did some changes back then which are important for this problem.
    Thanks.

Did you install pulseaudio-alsa package? You would need to disable ~/.asoundrc or any other configuration overwriting the redirection of alsa to pulseaudio. Does virtual box work with pulseaudio?
Did you switch to pulseaudio, because of skype?

  • BT audio source selection is goofy

I'm using a Jawbone BT but had the same issue with a Jabra unit, too.
When paired, BT is the default source. When I choose audio source of iPhone or Speaker, it only works for a few seconds and then it switches back to BT.
It always requires three attempts before the selection stays on iPhone. Anybody else having this problem? Have you found a fix?
BTW: This issue has existed for me since v.1 and I'm currently running 1.1.3.

I have not had any issues with my bluetooth headset. I'm using a Plantronics Discovery 655, and it has paired well, and connects everytime I turn it on. The only thing I haven't liked about how it works with the iPhone, is when the phone rings, I just get a series of beeps in the headset. With my Motorola phone, it gave me whatever ringtone I had set on the phone.
I would check the headset, ensure it is fully charged, and try again. If that doesn't work, and you can, try and made an appointment at the Genius Bar and have them check it out. There could be a problem with the phone.
    Hope this helps you.

  • IPhone 4 audio source

I have an iPhone 4 and paired to a Pioneer 7100 stereo. When it was first paired it worked beautifully. When the phone rang, I unlocked the phone and started talking. A few months ago something changed and now I have to select an audio source. Can I fix this? I've repaied the two devices and no luck.

I had this same problem with my iPhone 4 and my BMW. I deleted the pairing and paired the phone to the car again, and the same issue occurred.
I reset the iPhone by pressing the on/off switch and the home button and that worked! The audio sources showed up and I was able to get audio from the car.
