Je souhaite acquérir un iMac Retina 5K pour le montage vidéo et je veux vérifier qu'il sera adapté et performant pour Premiere Pro CC (2014)
Ci-dessous les spécifications. techniques de l'iMac. Faut il booster la version de base, par exemple avec un processeur i7, 16 Gb de RAM, Fusion Drive de 3 Tb ?
Mon budget n'est pas extensible à l'infini donc je dois faire des choix...

Je suis photographe pro, et je réalise également des videos pour mes clients. En ce qui concerne la configuration de votre imac, je vous conseille de prendre deux options : Intel Core i7 quadricœur à 4 GHz et AMD Radeon R9 M295X avec 4 Go de mémoire GDDR5. Pour ce qui est de la RAM, il faut aussi booster la machine mais on en trouve sur d'autres sites pour beaucoup moins cher. Pour ma part je sauve mes images et mes videos sur des disques externes, et toujours en plusieurs exemplaires.

Acrobat XI Pro doesn't work on iMac Retina 5K, "An Internal error occurred"
Please help.
I just received my latest iMac Retina 5K 27inch and tried to install newly purchased Acrobat XI Pro, installation went ok, but it give me error message when I open the program:
" An internal error occurred."
I tried to install it into my old iMac 2010 and it works fine. Below are system information of my 2 x iMac, can anyone give me some advises? Thank you.

If the installation went ok and you are unable to launch Acrobat then this might be due to licensing issue.
Please check if you have full read/ write permissions to the following folders:
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePCD
You might also want to check in the root user account of Mac (Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X - Apple Support)

Le chemin d'accès de l'application Premiere Pro est défaillante, comment lancer le logiciel??
Lors du lancement de l'application Adobe première pro, un message d'erreur apparait au bout de quelques secondes en indiquant que windows va fermer le programme.
Dans le détail des erreurs il est indiqué que "le chemin d'accès de l'application est défaillante : c:/program Files/adobe/adobe Premiere pro cc/adobe Premiere Pro.exe".
L'ordinateur sur lequel j'ai installé le programme est neuf et correspond aux caractéristiques techniques du logiciel.
Comment utiliser l'application???

Can iMac Retina mount external HD in Target Disk Mode?
I'm trying to mount an ailing HD in a 24" iMac to my iMac Retina in Target Disk Mode. It will not mount. I'm using a Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt adapter. When I plug the Thunderbolt adapter into a MacBook Air, the Target Disk HD mounts....
Is this the way it is with iMac Retina?I'm not sure what you are trying to confirm here. If I boot from the install disk, why would I get a different driver than what I would get by installing the OS (from that same disk)? Or if it is a firmware problem then the disk doesn't matter at all.
If I boot from the install disk the sytem still doesn't recognize the G4 iBook in TDM. I don't know if this is relavent, but I have to boot the G4 iBook, connect the firewire cable, then boot the Intel iMac in TDM mode for it to mount on the iBook. Booting the iMac first, or connecting the firewire cable after the iMac has booted does not work. If I hold down the option key while booting the Intel iMac it will let me select the startup disk. If I insert the install disk it will add the install disk to the menu. If I connect a firewire cable and boot the G4 iBook in TDM it does not add the firewire disk. If I boot the iBook in TDM mode then boot the iMac from the install disk it does not see the iBook either. In all cases the Intel machine ignores the PowerPC machine.
The system profiler does not say who made the FW chip. I too am suspicious that it some kind of driver/firmware problem. I have an old firewire iPod , and I have an old firewire iSight camera, and they both work fine with the Intel iMac. There is another discusion were someone was having trouble with a firewire drive on an Intel iMac. Firewire is pretty symmetric (unlike USB which is master/slave). It is odd that one direction should work and not the other. It seem like some obscure bug that only effects block devices on the Intel side. -
IMAC Retina won't boot external HD

I've tried to get my iMac Retina 5K to boot from an external thurderbolt HD using three different OS X installations: 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9... each time I get an error screen.
Does the new iMAC boot anything other than 10.10?

I have installed Snow Leopard Server in Parallels so as to be able to access Rosetta and run the old PowerPC applications.
You may be able to run FCP 7 and its components in Parallels running an earlier version of OS X, such as Snow Leopard Server or Lion.
Apple discounted the price of Snow Leopard Server by 95% and it is my advice to anyone who may have such a future need to purchase it now for $20 and put it on the shelf for that later need. If/when Apple ever eliminates the discount or ceases sales of Snow Leopard Server at all, its price on the third party market will once again skyrocket.

Tâches sur mon écran - Imac 21,5' acheté en 2012
Bonjour à toutes et à tous !
Voilà, cela fait 2 mois maintenant que j'ai remarqué des trainées grises sur l'écran de mon Imac 21,5', comme tout le monde, je mettais ça sur le compte de la poussière mais ça ne part pas. Je me suis renseigné sur la toile et beaucoup de monde a ce problème sur les Imac. Pour le moment, ordinateur allumé, ce n'est pas gênant, seules des trainées grises apparaissent en haut de l'écran, sur la barre de menu.
Comme dis plus haut, j'ai fouillé Internet pour trouver des informations mais je ne trouve rien de concret sur la prise en charge de ce problème par la grantie d'Apple ( qui se termine en avrile me concernant).
Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

Mon disque dur interne n'est plus reconnu
J'ai du forcer mon imac à s'éteindre parce qu'il ne répondait plus et depuis mon disque dur n'est plus reconnu.
J'ai installé le système sur un disque externe mais j'aimerais avoir les données que j'avais sur le disque interne. y a t il un moyen de détecter le matériel perdu ou mon disque dur est il HS.

I purchased a iMac retina last week and noticed it keeps crashing. It crashes at least once a day compared to the macbook I had that never seemed to crash. At first it crashed when woken from sleep from a few hours so I turned off putting the computer to sleep when display is inactive.

Yes I installed them side by side as in the new paid at the top two slots and then the installed ram below it. When I remove them installed RAM how do I test it again? This was from a crash report. -
Win 8.1, iMac Retina 3TB Fusion, Yosemite, Boot Camp fail!
I've got a new iMac Retina with the 3TB Fusion drive on which I wanted to install Win 8.1 using Boot Camp. I have VMWare Fusion installed and running, but figured Boot Camp might be better for my needs.
I read the Boot Camp Assistant instructions and it looked like it would be pretty easy to install Win 8.1. WRONG!
I hooked up a USB HD for the driver download, hooked up the USB Apple DVD drive with the Win 8.1 installer, and started up Boot Camp Assistant.
Assistant downloaded the drivers, created the BOOTCAMP partition, then I got into the Win 8.1 installer. Reached a screeching halt when the installer got to the point of selecting where Win 8.1 would be installed. Got the error message about BOOTCAMP partition not being an NTFS drive.
Only one button "Format" to click to make the format NTFS. Confirmed I wanted to format, saw a brief spinning wheel, then supposedly formatting was done. Now Drive 1 Partition 4 lost the "BOOTCAMP" name and displayed no name. The "Next" button wouldn't do anything. I was stuck!
So no go on installing Win 8.1! Booting back into Yosemite and opening Disk Utility I see the Boot Camp partition, now named "untitled," identified as an NTSF volume!
I see a number of posts here where by using Terminal it is possible to work around problems with Fusion drives and Boot Camp.
My solution was to start Boot Camp Assistant and select the third option on the first screen to remove the Boot Camp partition. Well at least that worked!!! So I'm back to ground zero!
For now I think I'll just surrender and wait for Apple to figure out how somebody, who doesn't want to dig deep into the bowels of Fusion drives via Terminal, can install Win 8.1 on a 3TB Fusion drive (or any Fusion Drive?).Thanks Loner T for your response. I don't have any third party NFTS software. At this point I don't think it is worth the effort to attempt to do anything complicated.
I did take some screen grabs and photos as I went through the install for the fourth or fifth time.
1) Disk Utility before start:

4) Windows message on why can't install
5) Hit the "Format" button, and get this confirmation:
6) Results in partition name getting wiped, and still no active "Next" button:
7) Still can't install Windows, hit "Show Details" and get this error message.
8) Another attempt to "Format" results in the same problem. Still can't install. Boot back into Yosemite. Here's what Disk Utility now shows -- an "untitled" NTFS volume:

The NTFS partition is there, but the Win 8.1 installer can't use it. Yes, it makes no sense, but that's what is going on!

Brand new imac Retina and can't enter Apple Diagnostics. Doing it wrong?
I've had various issues with my brand new imac retina. I've spoken with Apple Care about two of them (Finder icon issue; slow shut down) and we're working through it all trying to figure out if it's software and whether the current beta update will solve the problem when it comes out. They've extended their 14 day exchange to 60 days for me while we sort it out.
All said, one thing they suggested was to run the Apple Diagnostics by holding down D upon booting. I've tried running this, it comes to a screen wanting me to pick the language, and nothing happens. It's like it doesn't do anything upon picking the language, just sits there.
The Sr. Tech I was talking with just said "that's strange" but with other things we were discussing he went about focusing on the other things.
I may try yet another separate call to discuss this with them but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has encountered/solved this issue, see if I'm going about it the wrong way.
I'm holding down D and I'm connected by ethernet. This is the new imac retina 5k, 2014.

That's might nice of Apple. Personally, I would not be sorting anything out on a brand new Mac. I would be demanding a brand new replacement. One that is suppose to work rigiht out the box.
