Wifi Problem - can't get iPod Touch to connect to Internet
I've seen lots of posts and discussions around this issue but cannot seem to nail down a solution. I have no security or encryption whatsoever with my wireless router & network. Other devices can connect wirelessly with no problem but my iPod Touch, although it shows that it is connected to my wireless network with all the proper DNS settings, it cannot access the internet. Of course, none of the wifi-based apps will work as a result.
Based on what I've deduced so far, I think the issue is that my brand new iPod Touch does not like my older Linksys WRK54G wireless router. That said, my brother's newer iPhone picked up my wireless network fine recently??

I went to Dlink online and went to Wireless connection settings to change the SSID name as if I am using my router for the first time, then changed it to WPA 20 characters! then saved the settings. from that router as well. Note, before doing the "Save the settings"
above, I reset the Dlink router (by putting a pin at the back of the unit,
then turning it off and on including my separate Netcomm modem.
You then go back to your Ipod touch/ Settings and Choose the new Network Name.GOOD LUCK. -
