Monitor Adapter

I bought a mini 2 weeks ago. Of course, as always happens to me the last 20 years, when I buy a mac, within 2 weeks a new one comes out with a HUGE advancement. Sigh. Anyway, it came with a monitor adapter cable. But my monitor doesn't fit it. Does anyone know of an adapter to be able to use a monitor with 15 pins - 3 rows of 5 pins, staggered, overall shape like a top-heavy trapezoid? Something that will plug into my new (and a week later, already old) mini or into the adapter that came with the new (old) mini or the old old mini.
I find lots of adapters that almost would fit into my new adapter, but they all have 2 pins above and below the long flat one, and the new adapter has no holes around the flat one.
Thanks.

Wanted to let you know, I purchaseD a mini on 5/20/2010. Called Sales about the New Mini, they sent me a return shipping label, and sending me a New One. I was having the same issue, the New Mini comes with HDMI. However, if you purchase the $29 dvi to hdmi adaptor, it connects to the cable you received with your purchase, then connect from your Mini to HDMI on your tv or Home Theater Reciever; you will need an audio cabel as well, 3.5 mm plug on each end to audio out and into tv and/Mac (or use a optical audio wire with a 3.5mm on one end (radio shack, crutchfield, etc). Hope you call and make the trade for the newer Mini, much improved, as i'v read. Mine is on the way.....good luck

  • Component monitoring - adapter engine error, but no channel in error actual

    Hi,
We have a problem in displaying a status of Adapter Engine in RWB. In component monitoring there's a red light and the status - "Are communication channels without errors?" says there's an communication channel in error. But when I click the Communication channel monitoring, everything's green there. Yes, there was an error before, but it's ok now. Why is the AE item in Component monitoring still red? How to make it to reflect the current status?
    Thank you,
    Olian

    Hi Olian,
i am saying to use the cache connectivity test button option from RWB -> compnent monitoring , so have you done cache test using this? if yes, click on refresh display to see the latest adapter engine status..............if it is green, then it is okay..............but if it is red here, it means some comm channel is erroring sometimes - i guess it can be a file adapter using ftp or some rfc adapter......................
if it is green here and compnent monitoring - adapter engine status is red because some comm channel errored in past.........then i think some cache is not getting refreshed - i do not know exactly how to rectify it...........but i can tell you some workaround for it..............the comm channel which was erroring just stop it from comm channel monitoring........then close RWB and again open it and see compnent monitoring - adapter engine status again in it - i think it should be green now.......or  try by changing any comm channel description data in ID and save and activate it.........then again check your compnent monitoring - adapter engine status..................but dont worry i think this is a temporary problem

So, when I find my message related to the Integrated Scenario and click on "Message Details" I am not able to view the payload for any of these messages. I am sure there is somewhere on the Java stack flip the switch to view payload but not sure where. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Message status "Holding" - Message monitoring adapter framework

    Hello,
We have some messages with the status "Holding" in a queue in the message monitoring in the adapter framework.
Normally you have to restart the first message of that queue. The message with the status "system error". Unfortunately this message is not available anymore because it is older than 30 days and the retetion period is 30 days.
I already read the blog about "[How to deal with stuck EOIO messages in the XI 3.0 Adapter Framework|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417100)ID1887311350DB01819286872323159351End?blog=/pub/wlg/3566]"
The blog does not mention what to do when the first message (sequential number) is not available anymore.
Is it possible to restart the messages in the queue in that case?
    Thanks
    Kind regards
    Frank

Unfortunately this message is not available anymore because it is older than 30 days and the retetion period is 30 days.
I assume that the message was deleted.....in this case the next message in the queue will be blocking the queue....so try resending this message....even the blog mentions that you either solve the error or cancel the message....so now start from the second message....if possible solve the error for this message....if not possible to resolve then cancel it so that rest of the queue gets processed
    From the blog:
Now the erroneous message is the first message in the display. You can look at the error reason, try to fix the problem and
resend or cancel the message to release the queue.

    Abhishek.

  • Mac to VGA Monitor adapter settings needed

I recently moved the system to another location and the dip settings were inadvertently changed in the process.
I had them written down, but I lost them in the move.
Anyone know the settings or how to find them?
I'm using a GEM model DE770 FA monitor. The system worked really good running MAC OS9.2 with an upgrade to G4 and the Radeon 64 MB video card. I went out and bought another adapter that came with some settings, but I have tried them all to no avail. Maybe I'm not checking them correctly? Do I have to power down the machine each time I disconnect the cable and change the settings, connect and restart the machine for it to recognize a signal?
Any help on this is appreciated.
BW G3   Mac OS 9.2.x   Upgraded to G4 w/ Radeon 64 MB video card

    Thanks Jim,
I tried to zap PRAM, but the chime came right away after I pressed the power button, and I held the keys down until after the chime, and it chimed again...is this normal?
    ponomo1997,
"Do I have to power down the machine each time I
disconnect the cable and change the settings, connect
and restart the machine for it to recognize a
    signal?"
    Yes.
Older computers with onboard video and a nubus
videocard and OS 7.1 would let you set one monitor as
your start up monitor and have BOTH control panels on
your startup monitor. That allowed you to see the
controls and frequency of the other monitor while you
    changed settings.
I miss that feature. Now, as part of the startup
routine, the computer will auto detect the frequency
of the monitor connected and reset the monitor. A
second PCI video card would allow you the option to
start up with one monitor and test settings on the
    other.
One suggestion would be to find a monitor that is NOT
multi-sync and test that. Also, consider zapping the
video parameters at startup. If the monitor is multi
sync and looking to see what frequency the computer
is set at and the computer is looking at the monitor
to see what frequency it is set at, you end up with
confusion. That is where you are at. Start up while
    holding down the command + option + P + R keys. Wait
for a chime and then release.
One of my Beige G3s has to have the video PRAM reset
to the default of 640 x 480 in order for it to start
up properly with a new monitor. Once it is up and
running, I can change the frequency (pixle
    resolution) using the control panel.
Good luck chancing onto the right setting for that
adapter. I take it that the new adapter did not work
either, notwithstanding the availability of the
    instructions.

  • SOAP messages not visible in RWB - Message Monitoring - Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    following scenario:
ERP is sending IDocs to PI.
Within PI an integration process sends the IDoc data through a SOAP (WS) receiver channel to a system far far away.
In RWB -> Communication Channel Monitoring I can see all delivered messages selecting my SOAP channel.
    But:
I can´t see the SOAP messages in RWB -> Message Monitoring -> Messages of Adapter Engine.
In RWB -> Message Monitoring -> Messages of Integration Engine I only see SOAP messages with status "Error".
    Successful column is empty.
Do I have to adjust some system / monitoring parameters also seeing SOAP messages in RWB->Message Monitoring?
    Thanks in advance,
    André

    Hi Ravi,
    thanks.
But there are thousands of successful messages delivered to the receiver.
These successful messages can only be seen in the Channel Monitoring.
I can´t find these successful messages in Message Monitoring.
Only some with status "Error" are displayed.
    Strange...

  • Performa 6300CD - Which Monitor Adapter?

A friend has a Mac Performa 6300CD with the stock Apple monitor that came with it. The monitor is starting to go, and he wants to connect a generic monitor. Does anyone know what type of adapter he would need? Thanks.

It depends on the generic monitor. If you can find and older VGA-Connector monitor rated as "MultiSync," you only need an adaptor that converts a Mac DB-15 connector to VGA. The vendor's link I found shows as out-of-stock but the images give a clear view of what you need:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812296029
You should be able to still find one elsewhere once you know what to look for.
Go for an old style monitor with the 4:3 ratio; newer widescreen monitors are not supported by the 6300's pre-Deluvian video hardware. MultiSync monitors commonly have "MS" in the model number.
An non-MS monitor requires an adaptor with 8-12 tiny DIP switches to set screen resolution properly. They are more expensive, harder to find, and a severe "PITA" to locate the proper switch position codes. It behooves your friend to find the right monitor (Multi-Sync and 4:3 aspect ratio and only then find the simple adaptor.

  • Communication channel monitoring (adapter engine) in ccms (rz20) available?

    Hi,
we have problems in our xi system (PI 7.0, SPS10). The adapter engine can only be monitored in the communication channel monitoring, available in the runtime workbench!
There sometimes errors disappear. At the moment these errors accumulate!
