Just curious if there is a way to monitor the traffic flowing through an Aironet 1200 series device to allow for billing per IP/MAC address??
I can seem to find anything on this...

You may want to look at a management device such as the Allot Net-enforcer.
This will allow both IP based bandwidth management and monthly accounting for all your clients as well many other features.
Our Cisco wireless network covers over 20 communities and we have utilized this device since day 1 to manage all of our clients including QOS for business and residential services.

I'm thinking of purchasing a Cisco Linksys EA6500. I need a router that can one monitor bandwidth used by device. Keep exceeding our ISP's network bandwidth allocation, need to identify the devices that are causing this high usage and be able to do so from the router. Does the EA6500's standard software support this, is their router software one can obtain for the unit that does this or is there another home router option that can perform this function? If I were in your shoes, I would find a router that supported it. Linksys routers aren't designed and marketed for stuff like that.
As was previously said, netgear routers are the only ones that I'm aware of that do that. But there could be others.

Monitoring Bandwidth Use

Now that Comcast is placing a limit on bandwidth use, I would like to know if there is a way to monitor bandwidth usage on the ATV. Comcast advised that you can download software onto computers that monitor bandwidth usage. However, I'm not sure if this would work on ATV.
My concern is that we use our ATV for a huge percentage of our media content.
Anyone else concerned about this bandwidth limit?

In some cases the interface with your router will allow you to reset your up and down data count, you could possibly monitor your usage that way.

I also have static ip configured in my router, So tell me what settings to be made to access this same ebs through internet.You do not need an internet access here since your server and client on the same network.

Ipqos to monitor bandwidth utilization in zones?

I'd like to use IPQos and the extended accounting features in the global zone to monitor bandwidth utilization in my zones - ie, keep a simple count of amount of traffic each zone's IPs use.
I can't quite figure out how to do it, though. The IPQos docs are extensive, but complex.
Anyone got a simple 'howto' for it??

not really using ipqos, but i have a dtrace script that tracks socket traffic per pid and uid, you can probably change it to meet your needs.

Monitoring Bandwidth usage for individual hosted sites on osx server?

Does anyone know of a good way to monitor bandwidth consumption for individual websites hosted on osx server?

Part of this answer depends on server configuration details that you haven't provided.
Are you looking for 'bandwidth' as in total bytes transferred for any given site? or are you looking for a megabits-per-second network throughput calculation?
Are your various sites logging to separate log files? or a single, unified log file?
If you want a total bytes transferred calculation, then that data is stored in the standard log files, so a simple parser that adds up the response sizes would suffice - it will tell you that x number of bytes/megabytes were transferred.
A bandwitch utilization graph (e.g. mbps) is a little trickier, though.
Are your sites running on the same port, using name-based virtual hosting to separate the traffic, or are they running on different ports?
If different ports then you may be able to implement some kind of network monitoring, but if they're all running on the same port (e.g. 80) then that doesn't work - you're down to Apache logging.
The standard Apache logs, though, don't include enough data to calculate a bandwidth graph. It does include timestamps of requests, and the total bytes in the reply, but that's not enough - the timestamp is only accurate to the second, and there's no indication of duration... for example, a 1mb web page served in 1 second equates to 8mbps, but that same file transferred in 30 seconds is only about 273kbps.
Since the transfer time is required to calculate the bandwidth utilization for the site, you'll need to amend your logging to include the transfer size. You'll need to enable mod_logio and add the %O (output bytes) and %T (request time) variables to your log format. Only then can you calculate the bits-per-second throughput of your site.

Excessive bandwidth use, metered satellite

when I updated my home router to linksys EA6500 feb 1 2013 bandwidth use increased from normal 1-3Gb/month to way over the Exede allocated 10Gb/month. 3/9, Linksys said to change SSID for 5Ghz channel - done. but Excess use continued when
i turned devices back on, and wiped out another 6Gb in one day. I needed internet so I turned on a Verizon jetpac with one PC (Vista). left it connected overnight (bad) to find multiple Verizon emails/texts warning of exceeding 4Gb package; actually 8.4Gb!
after buying more bandwidth, I am back to using the slowed Exede connection to do this. at least it is not costing anymore. Appears this one PC with Vista is sucking all the bandwidth/data...
Overnight 3/13, only activites on idle but connected PC were svchost.exe (predominant), msiexec.exe, c2c_service, and explorer.exe. Norton360 (recently updated) did three quick scans - clean. I used Norton360 "performance" graph to find these
based on time last night. So, how do I fix this? is it an windows update issue? all are 'successful'. I changed it to manual so we can control what/when updates occur. Serious!

Please use Resource Monitor to find out the process and corresponding IP address which costs most traffic.
Meanwhile. I would like to suggest you use Clean Boot to troubleshoot if it is third-party software's conflicts.

Not going to happen the way you want it to.
When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with.

I just purchased a 28" 4K monitor to use with Premiere Pro CS6 in WIndows 8.1 and the fonts are super tiny.

No matter what settings I choose, the fonts on the display are impossibly tiny. The menu fonts at top are readable, but everything else feels like I am taking an eye exam.
Is this fixable, or do I need to return the 4K monitor and fuhgedaboutit?

I understand your issue and I don't have a solution for you. Sorry. In Premiere Pro CC 2014, you can increase the size of the fonts in the Project panel, but not in CS6.

The connection of the phone to the monitor would allow you to see, but does not have the ability to translate the touch on the monitor to the phone through that cable.

2nd monitor not using all available pixels

I have a Mac Mini that is running Windows 7 in bootcamp. I have 2 monitors. My 2nd monitor is connected with an HDMI to DVI cable. In Windows, the whole screen of both monitors is used (edge to edge, top to bottom). But when I switch over to Yosemite, my second monitor has about a 1 inch bar of black on both sides and a 1/2 inch bar along the top and the bottom. This is literally unused space.
I've talked to Apple Support several times but they don't seem to have an answer. I get transferred to someone but each time I get cut off. (so I gave up trying to fix this over the phone or on line chat). There are no features or selections in the Syncmaster to adjust this. Why does it work perfectly fine in Windows but not when I switch over to Yosemite.
Maybe this doesn't seem like a big deal but it's so frustrating that I'm actually finding myself not wanting to use the Yosemite side.

I found the fix, go to System Preferences and open Mission Control and uncheck the box to keep monitors as they were (When switching to an application...........)
