Monitor broke, need a replacement, sitting on hold for 2 hours

I have an HP  L2245wg. It has died and is still under warranty. I am trying to get a hold of someone in order to get my case submitted so i can have a replacement shipped to me but i have been sitting on hold on the phone for over 2 hours!
The website wont let me link my monitor to my account to submit a request here and everytime i try to "Chat with HP" it gives a request timed out error.
It seems every option for support is unavaliable and this faint hold music on the phone i have been hearing for the past 2 hours has gave me a headache. I just want to do one simple thing. Please contact me so i may have my monitor submitted for a replacement.

My Samsung Galaxy 5s will not receive any calls, I can text and call out but all incoming calls go to voicemail.. and no one at att customer service will take the call...I've been on hold for 2 hours and 15 minutes now and still holding. Does hours on hold with att count as minutes /phone usage ? Jk I know it does ...screwing me in both ends

Some people are being affected by network issues. The support line and live chat queues are being hammered with customers in similar situations.

• On Hold for 2 Hours. Need new CD's PLEASE HELP

I have been having trouble reinstalling Acrobat 9 from my discs for 3 days now.
The installer freezes with "preparing to install..." in the installer window.  Since Tuesday, I have been following the instructions of the difficult to understand Indian support staff.  After 4 calls and over 10 hours on the phone, I requested a new set of CD's (DVD's).  The technician I last spoke with last night 9/10, agreed that this was the only resolution.  He transfered me to Customer Service, where I waited for 2 hours on hold.
I have attempted a laundry list of procedures to remedy this problem.  Clean system, I can install other programs, made disc images, new administrator file, etc., etc.  I need Acrobat for an important project and am beginning to lose patients.
I apologize for using the forum to voice my frustration, but I cannot seem to get a human, on any continent, to pick up the phone.
Case Number: 0181161652.
I hope a moderator will intervene and assist me, please

After reading a post on this forum, I was able to launch the installer from the terminal.
When I happily open Acrobat, I was greeted with the following dialog box.
Still no joy. : (

• On hold for an hour!!! is verizon trying to stall out my termination period?

This is ridiculous.  I called specifically an hour before closing to reach someone to ask about why Verizon refuses to accept the insurance phone back if I loft my original yet want to cancel within the 14 day period.   They've told me I have 2 days to figure it all out and I got the ocmplete run around on the phone and now am still waiting in silent hold for a manager and it is 11 p.m. Service is terrible!! I want OUT but they make it impossible, even at the beginning.  Does anyone know a better number or method of reaching a supervisor over there?

• Hold for 48 hours?

I just got off the phone with my local Best Buy mobile department.  He told me they don't know when they're getting any in, as expected.  Then I informed him that I'm going on vacation today, and he told me they would hold it for 48 hours?
Okay I work for an airline, I'm used to taking 48 hour vacations, but this isn't one, and I pre-ordered my phone on the guaranteed-by-Best-Buy-mobile-employee understanding that I would have it on the 24th, three times, and in fact moved my vacation to accommodate it so I could have the new capabilities on my phone, namely the video recording.  Telling me that they'll only hold my pre-order for two days is not acceptable after the news yesterday.

Someone needs to explain that to the Best Buy employees then, because when they called me yesterday to tell me I wouldn't be getting my phone today, they told me if I wanted to stay on the list and not lose my place, they would hold the phone for me (when it eventually comes in) and I could pick it up whenever I wanted after it arrived.
Perhaps Best Buy's definition of "whenever you want" means "48 hours after we call you" but that certainly isn't *my* definition.

• I need to replace the cmos battery for Compaq nc 6320

The computer I'm working on will not recognize the HD. I've pulled the drive and it works showing the entire drive.
I think that I think that the MBR is corrupted. I've tryed to us the XP professional CD but can't get past the need for a password. I thought I could remove the Cmos battery to bypass the lock that may be in the Cmos.
This question was solved.

• I need a replacement pair of headphones for my Ipod touch

My apple headphones have stopped working . I read another forum and answer and clicked on the link to try to fill out the application to get my free replacement headphones but when I got to the page I didn't know what to do after I entered my software number , I then proceeded to do what i thought was right and I clicked  clicked "Request Online Service" when I got to the page they said to enter a credit card number to be charged $29 and i was shocked because the forum's answer had said you fill out the form basically telling what happened to your headphones , etc and Apple sends you new headphones of which the broken ones were , and you send back the broken/defective pair or you will be charged on your Apple Account or so . I need the link of which I would go to , in order to get my replacement headphones , hopefully they are free because I really do not want to purachse the headphones which should still be working because my ipod was purchased in 2011 in October and if they were to stop working and I have to keep buying headphones that would be a waste of my $29 . I need the steps in which I go about when I get to the link if there is a link given if what I read was true , it was on the apple website but the policy may have changed .

Your iPod has a 1-year warranty.  Call Apple.  800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and I think Canada.

• On Hold For 1 hour and 27 minutes...

Really? Surely after speaking to three different people (last supervisor was Randy), someone at ATT can step up and help. I am getting no solutions to my problem...willing to pay for more data for the rest of the month...noone can help me. Seriously? How do I register a complaint? Make that 1 hour and 30 minutes.

• Need to replace my DVD drive please help

I need to replace my DVD drive for my Power G5 (bought in 2002), is ATAPI the right connector?

• HT201232 I have called the support number given, was on hold for more than an hour and received quite unpleasant phone bill for trying to sort out AppStore mistake! Is there any other options of getting "support" apart from calling these telephone numbers

My account was charged for buying app that I actually didn't buy. I was trying to sort out these mistake by calling the support number given (Russia). There was no other options like sending an email or calling some other number. I was on hold for one hour and a half! Is that normal for Apple support??? So apart from being charged for the app I haven't given my permission to buy, I also got a phone bill for calling the only support number available. Where can I submit my complain and what could be done about it?
Thank you,
Natalia

There is an email way to do this. See here: https://getsupport.apple.com/ContactInfo.action
The Russian Federation is one of the countries listed under Other.

• USB port....need to replace the motherboard or whatever holds the USB in place

the USB port on the lower R side of my hp pavillion dv1000 notebook pc....when I try to plug something into the USB port, the port goes in.  I need to replace the USB port. I don't know if it can be fixed or if I have to replace a motherboard or sisterboard or whatever the USB port is connected to. Any ideas or advice and how hard is it to fix it. I don't want to get rid of the laptop because it still works great. I can burn and play cds and dvds on it. I can use the WIFI to access my email. Other than the USB port connection needing repair...it runs great. Please advise or help. Since it's out of warrantee since 2007(purchased in 2004) hp will not give me any support or tell me what part I need to replace etc... And it would cost more to send it out to fix....around 400 or 500.  So I want to get the part and have my friend put it in. Please advise/help.
Angie

Post your full model number and I will see if it is a replaceable part.

• I I have a late 2005 power PC G5 that I want to bring back to life.  I need to replace the original hard drive, a Maxtor 250 GB Sata.  Can I replace it with modern drives, SATA 5-6 etc?

I have a late 2005 power PC G5 that I want to bring back to life.  I need to replace the original hard drive, a Maxtor 250 GB Sata.  Can I replace it with modern drives, SATA 5-6 etc?

I knew I should never get rid of my old G5's.  By the way, there is a browser still supported for the PPC, TenFourFox, if you're not using it already.  Go to the Floodgap website (they author it)  download it for free.  The only thing it doesn't support is the Flash plugin, but the browser works great. Other video types are supported.  It's based on Firefox, and runs most of the plugins and add-ons. It's very fast, and beats all other browsers on the browser compatibility and speed test.  That's now my default on my G5's.  Firefox and Safari are no longer supported.  As far as the OS, both Tiger and Leopard were solid for me.  The reason, as I stated before, was iMovie.  The version in Tiger with iLife was far superior to what Apple changed it to.  They 'dumbed it down' for the masses.  Even the newest iLife 11 on my Mac Pro quad isn't is good, in my opinion.  So Leopard should be fine for you.  It's a much larger browser in terms of sheer megabytes and disk space, but it's fine.  As far as getting an OS disc, I'm seeing Tiger for about $45.00, Leopard for $50 - 60.00 on that famous auction site.  As far as RAM, I have 8GB in my G5 2.3, but you should check Activity Monitor when you are running your apps.  See how much green slice you have left (unused RAM).  You might find you don't need eight.  A Mac Pro will grab more free RAM than a PPC machine will.  I have a hard time maxing out use of my 8 on the PPC.  Not true with the eight on my Mac Pro.  The OS doesn't hesitate to grab and use it.  You might be OK with 6GB on your PPC. More will not make you faster, as long as you still have free RAM available.  As far as backup on your resurrected machine:  look for a firewire enabled backup if can.  Use CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) and make a clone backup.  Next time your PPC machine wipes out the hard drive, just take your Firewire drive and plug it into another PPC machine, and you can select it as your boot drive. You'll be back and running in five minutes.  You can also take the physical drive out of your enclosure, and put it in your tower to replace the failed drive, and you'll be back to where you were in less than ten minutes, OS and all.  The PowerMac has an 800 port, so you can do the 800 on the machine to an 800 port on your backup. A firewire 800 to 800 cable is only about $8.00.  It runs nice and fast through the 800 port.  I like the OWC Mercury Extreme enclosures.  They use USB, Firewire 800, and eSATA, so all your options are open.

• Wow, I need replacement soft ear buds for my headphones Apple doesnt sell them?

My dog managed to handle all three sets of the soft ear buds that have come with my Apple ear buds without damaging the ear phones themselves.  I contact live support on the site who tells me to call apple care.  I call Apple Care, and after a nice 10 minute wait I get a rep, who puts me on hold for another 6 minutes only to tell me they dont have them, I need to do a google search to buy aftermarket versions.
I love apple, I have apple laptops, and desktops.  I have every iphone and ipod they have put out.  I even buy their peripherals.  Its hard to believe something as easily lost as these little solicone tips are not supplied by Apple anywhere to replace them.
Today I am truly disappointed by Apple! =(
Does anyone know where I can get a set of replacements?

This has already been answered, see this thread: Replacement parts for the new apple...: Apple Support Communities
And if I had to buy headphones again I would by the same Apple in ears, they are great!

• My iphone 4s is over 2 years old and I need to replace the battery. How much will this cost at an Apple store?

I have an iphone 4s that is  over 2 years old. The phone's battery is no longer able to hold a  charge for an acceptable length of time.  Assuming I need to replace the battery, how much will this cost at an Apple store?

Basically, I'm new to Apple, despite using them before, but I've never actually owned my own.
Since buying this phone off a colleague at work, I seem to be having problems with it. First, I noticed how rubbish the battery life is, then my charger almost went up in flames and thirdly my camera lense is scratched beyond belief.
I know the phone isn't within warranty, although I was lead to believe it was before and during buying it, so basically I'm extremely disappointed with the general make up of iPhone's considering they cost such a **** of a lot of money, you'd think they'd be built to last.
Back to my main point, how much would it cost for a new battery? Or a new camera lense if anyone can help me with that? (I know that the back of the phone was refurbished just before my buying it, so literally just the camera lense)
Thanks!
So basically it sounds like you bought an abused used iPhone and somehow that makes the phone subpar because dispite the abuse it should still last forever and look like new? Batteries don't last forever, even under ideal conditions, so your expectatoins are unrealistic. Take it in and have an estimate done.

• Do I need to replace my Hard Drive?

My Mid 2012 13" MacBook Pro recently was not able to boot on startup when I reset the NVRAM. I looked on the commands and there was something to do with a hard drive error. I had to reinstall OS X for me to use it again.
Since then my computer has been unusably laggy at times and performance has dropped. YouTube and other videos will lag uncontrollably and Minecraft runs at about 1 FPS. I am also running bootcamp and problems are consistent on Windows 7 as well. Do I need to replace the Hard Drive or just completely reformat it and reinstall OS X from a bootable disk?
THANKYOU

You shoudn't consider replacing your drive unless you know that's the problem. AHT, to the best of my knowledge, does not do surface scans on drives and it can't tell you if you have bad sectors. It can, however, identify other problems so running tests on the system might help you.
Other things to consider are the following:
How much free disk space do you have? If you're running out of disk space the system will not be able to swap out properly or easily and your system will bog down.
How much memory are you using? If you're using a lot then swapping will be rampant and your system will slow down.
Are there problematic applications that don't work properly that are consuming too much memory or hitting your system with a lot of disk reads and writes?
If you're using Mountain Lion, have you upgraded to 10.8.4? If not, do so. A lot of your problems may disappear.
The easiest way to check the first 3 above is with Activity Monitor. You can find a good write up on it with the following link:
http://www.scsc-online.com/Activity%20Monitor.html
I'm sure there are others on the web that are every bit as good as well. If you're still convinced your drive is the problem then check out this link for a list of drive testing tools:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1544280
That list is pretty much the web's de facto standard list of reliable hard drive testing tools currently available for Macs, and it's reasonably up to date, unlike some of the other lists on the web that are 5 years old or older. I really wouldn't assume it's the drive until you check out other stuff first.
Good luck, diddypants.
