Monitor of Apple Performa 475

The monitor of an Apple Performa 475 has gone completely RED and doiesn't display the normal text from Word Processing documents. Can anything be done to solve problem ?

What version of the Mac OS is the Performa 475 running? How much RAM does the Mac have installed? I'm guessing your monitor may be out of adjustment. I tried to locate a Service Manual but couldn't find one anywhere online. You may need to buy a Apple Service Source CD-ROM. There are numerous sellers on eBay selling these CD-ROMs that include manuals for older Apple monitors like your Performa Plus Display. If the monitor is at all similar to my Macintosh Color Display you may have to disassemble it to get at the monitor's controls too. If the contrast or brightness controls are user accessible I would attempt to adjust those first to see if the monitor becomes more legible. Even then though you may have to disassemble it to get at controls like the blue, yellow & green adjustments if necessary.

  • Apple performa display

I have a non functioning "Apple Performa Display", Model: M9102LL/D.  It appears that the power switch is defective since I can get pilot light and raster by holding the switch in but when I let go, the monitor shuts down.
    My questions:
    1. Is this display usable with the Apple IIGS?
    2. Does anyone know where I can find a schematic or service manual for this product?
    3. Has anyone seen/solved this problem in the past.
    Thanks, in advance

This is the story of what plugs to what:
    58692 -- Power Mac G4: Display Compatibility
I think what you want is a 922-3764, but I am not certain.
This is the list of all adapters:

Look very carefully at which end has the pins/holes. If you cannot tell, look for the thumbscrews to tell whether the pictured end accepts a cable with male pins or computer with holes.

  • How do you get your tv to act as a monitor using apple tv?

Can you get your television to act as a monitor using Apple TV?

I presume you mean you want to view your computer screen on your TV by going through the Apple TV. Right now you can't do that but the next version of Mac OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, will allow Mac computers to mirror their computer screen on a TV connected to Apple TV.

  • Best practice to monitor 10gR3 OSB performance using JMX API?

    Hi guys,
I need some advice on the best practice to monitor 10gR3 OSB performance using JMX API.
Jus to show I have done my home work, I managed to get the JMX sample code from
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/jmx_monitoring/example.html#wp1109828
    working.
The following is the list of options I am think about:
    * Set up: I have a cluster of one 1 admin server with 2 managed servers, which managed server runs an instance of OSB
    * What I try to achieve:
    - use JMX API to collect OSB stats data periodically as in sample code above then save data as a record to a
         database table
    Options/ideas:
    1. Simplest approach: Run the modified version of JMX sample on the Admin Server to save stats data to database
regularly. I can't see problems with this one ...
    2. Use WLI to schedule the Task of collecting stats data regularly. May be overkill if option 1 above is good for production
    3. Deploy a simple web app on Admin Server, say a simple servlet that displays a simple page to start/stop and configure
data collection interval for the timer
What approach would you experts recommend?
BTW, the caveats os using JMX in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/jmx_monitoring/concepts.html#wp1095673
    says
Oracle strongly discourages using this API in a concurrent manner with more than one thread or process. This is because a reset performed in
one thread or process is not visible to another threads or processes. This caveat also applies to resets performed from the Monitoring Dashboard of
the Oracle Service Bus Console, as such resets are not visible to this API.
Under what scenario would I be breaking this rule? I am a little worried about its statement
discourages using this API in a concurrent manner with more than one thread or process
    Thanks in advance,
    Sam

    Hi Manoj,
Thanks for getting back. I am afraid configuring aggregation interval from Dashboard doesn't solve problem as I need to collect stats data of endpoint URI or in hourly or daily basis, then output to CSV files so line graphs can be drawn for chosen applications.
Just for those who may be interested. It's not possible to use SQL to query database tables to extract OSB stats for a specified time period, say 9am - 5pm. I raised a support case already and the response I got back is 'No'.
That means using JMX API will be the way to go :)
Has anyone actually done this kind of OSB stats report and care to give some pointers?
I am thinking of using 7 or 1 days as the aggregation interval set in Dashboard of OSB admin console then collects stats data using JMX(as described in previous link) hourly using WebLogic Server JMX Timer Service as described in
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/jmxinst/timer.html instead of Java's Timer class.
Not sure if this is the best practice.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Sam

  • Does anyone know the status of the new CMYK monitor display Apple is developing?

Does anyone know the status of the new CMYK monitor display Apple is developing?

I have the same iMac as you but with a 1 TB hard drive.
Apple replaced the 1 TB hard drive of iMacs manufactured between October 2009 and July 2011 because of problems. When I took my iMac, the Genius gave me the bill (even if the repair was free) and the 1 TB hard drive cost about $100. This was with a 1 TB Seagate hard drive, so the cost for a 500 GB hard drive may be smaller, depending on the brand

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/sbo/monitor-email-campaign-performance.html

    Hi Greg,
Your assumption in terms of what we plan to do is correct, only that we haven't yet implemented. However, in the soft bounces tab, there is still an unsubscribe option under the Bulk action menu displayed at the botton of the list. YOu just have to scroll down the list to get to that button (I know, the interface could get a little better here).

  • Monitoring Center for Performance 2 GRE IPSec

    Hi, guys
Would you please tell me if "Monitoring Center for Performance 2" as it is bundled with VMS 2.3 supports monitoring for GRE IPSec?
I know for sure that "Cisco Performance Monitor 3.0", which is bundled with CSM has this functionality.

  • HT3235 MacBook Air is connected to an external monitor via Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter.  At one time it worked just fine, now when I plug the monitor into the Mac, the mac screen goes blue and nothing appears on the monitor.

This monitor works, on a PC.  Could the connector be bad or the port on the Mac Air?  Any ideas?

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode with the MacBook as the main screen. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen.
You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
Or if you want to use the MacBook’s keyboard and trackpad to work on the MacBook screen while showing it on a TV you can check the Mirror Display box on the lower left hand side of the Arrangement tab under the two monitors box.
If you can’t see your MacBook screen because it’s broken or the backlight is off use the F7 key to switch between Extended Desktop and Mirror Display.
(From the MacBook User Guide: F7 (video mode toggle key) Switch between dual-display mode (extending the desktop across the built-in display and an external display) and video-mirroring mode (presenting the same information on both displays).

  • 24" iMac... Mac Pro with Viewsonic Monitor or Apple Display.

I'm tossing between the options of getting just a 24" iMac... or getting a Mac Pro and getting an Apple Monitor or Getting a Viewsonic Monitor... Are the Apple displays really worth their price? If ONLY talking displays not specs would I really enjoy the 24" iMac due to it being 24" but at the same time (quick mention of specs) it's not upgradable as much as a Mac Pro... is spending $1,000 on a 23" Apple display worth it? I want at least a 22" display. I can get a Viewsonic 22" for less then $400. What is so great about the Apple 23" display that I would want to buy that instead and spend the extra money?

    figured out what I wanted

  • Having problems connecting iPad 4S to monitor with Apple adapter and HDMI cable.

Purchased an Apple adapter to connect to an HDMI cable.  The connections were secure and the image on the iPad was duplicated on the monitor; however, there was a lot of "snow" on the monitor.  I tried turning off the power to the iPad and then starting back up, but that didn't work.  Once when checking the connections the image cleared for a few seconds, but then the "snow" came back.  Any ideas?

sounds like either an issue with the HDMi cable, or the connection at the TV possibly.
Try another HDMI port on your TV if there is one, or a different cable.

  • 30" Monitor on Apple G5 2.5Ghz late 2004 version

Can anyone suggest the appropriate card - and supplier of a video card to drive this monitor.
    Many thanks
    David

The Nividia 6600 is for pci express slots, as is the Radeon X1900. (2650 x 1600)
If you have the ATI Radeon 9600 XT card, that is agp. You should also have pci slots. I talked to Apple, the pci express slots were put on the 2005 G5s, not the late 2004 models. Also, made the mistake of ordering it already....doesn't fit.
So far can only find ATI Radeon 9600 Mac edition (2560 x 1600 & agp), 9800 Mac edition or ATI X800 Mac Edition (2560 x 1600 & agp). Don't know what the difference is really except that ATI's site says that the x800 replaces the 9800???

  • Least CPU Usage- Real Monitor or Apple Remote Desktop

    Hello,
What would require the least processing power of a Mac Pro; a 24 inch monitor run via a DVI cable or the same image accessed via Apple Remote Desktop software and displaying the screen on another Mac? Here is the rest of the story...
I am designing a home video surveillance system built around a Mac Pro and SecuritySpy. It will coordinate 12 network cameras (HD quality) and the potential load of the cameras alone will be huge. My goal is to place the Mac Pro in a locked network closet and administer it remotely. I can either go the Apple Remote Desktop route or have the monitor signal sent via an ethernet adapter, but the aim is to tax the CPU the least.
    So, what are your thoughts?
“Technological change is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal.” (Albert Einstein, 1941),
    Dr. Z.

    Hatter,
Well, the network closet will indeed have it's own dedicated air conditioning unit, so the heat issue should be addressed. However, initial calculations with the possibility of capturing twelve 0.8 Megapixel H.264 video streams at the same time would cripple any current Mac Mini model. Only a 2.93 GHz 12-core Mac Pro could handle this kind of load, and even then, at only 6 frames per second. Obviously I am very anxious to see what Apple will release with it's next line of Mac Pro's (if they don't kill firther production as rumored). I might also be interested in a Mac Mini cluster, but that would cost even more money in the long run.
So, back to my original question. Anyone?
    More microchiops than sense,
    Dr. Z.

  • MONITORS FOR APPLE

What monitors work well with apple computers? And what do I need to connect to the computer?

Many Mac users use Dell, NEC, Samsung, etc. monitors because, like PCs, Macs can automatically sense the resolutions available over standard monitor ports.
The cable you need depends on the video port on your Mac. You might have one of three: DVI, mini DVI, or mini DisplayPort. On the other end of the cable is your monitor, which will be DVI, VGA, or mini DisplayPort. Just get the cable with the right thing at both ends.
For example if you buy a new MacBook (mini DisplayPort) and buy a Dell monitor (DVI), you need a mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter. If you connect the same MacBook to the new Apple LED Cinema Display (mini DisplayPort), you don't need an adapter because it's the same at both ends. If you buy a Mac Pro (DVI) and a Dell monitor (DVI) you don't need an adapter.
