Monitor reading of resources

Hi,
I am looking for a way to get a report about the number of users that opened a resource for reading.
The built-in reports I found only monitors changes to files, and not accesses which doesn't change the resource.
Any ideas?

You can write a Namespace filter that monitors a particular respository. This filter will then write user name & resource they accessed to the database.

  • Need Help.  Can't load photoshop.  Gets hung up at "Reading Global Resources"

    I can't get photoshop to load.  It stops loading at "Reading Global Resources".  Currently running CS2 on windows Xp. Called Adobe, they won't support CS2 anylonger.  Need help please.

    Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776?tstart=0
    You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
    This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.   A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

  • Uccx 10.5 - Subsystem - Resourses showing "Error occured while reading the Resources"

    Can anybody point me in the direction to resolve this? I have can see all of the agents and supervisors if I check the "Desktop Admin" page on UCCX  get an Error "Error occured while reading the Resources" when I try to see agents etc in Subsystem - RMCM - Resources.
    Thanks in advance.

    Monitor reads "no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. I inserted the boot disk and nothing happened. What do I do?

    Hi s,
    This happens when you're trying to boot normally?
    First, shut down the MBP; hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds if necessary.
    Next (this assumes the install disc is still in the optical drive), press the power button and hold down the c key and keep holding it until you see “Preparing Installation" > at first screen select the language and click Continue > click on the Utilities Menu in the menu bar > select Startup Disk > choose the OS X installed on your HD. Follow the on screen prompts to quit the utility and restart.

  • Monitoring a Clustered Resource

    Can you let me know if it's possible to monitor a service like SMTP on the
    clustered resource. I'd like idealy to know if SMTP had failed, even if the
    server is still up and running, but this resource could be on one of two
    servers, even though it's IP would always be the same.
    I'm running a clustered environment and I'd like to check if the GWIA is
    running. I can monitor SMTP with Zen for Servers and tell it to let me know
    if it stops working. Problem is that the GWIA is not on the Physical IP
    address, it's a virtual resource mapped to a secondary IP, while I can use
    the DB editor to add in the secondard IP, it's asking me for a MAC as well -
    the MAC of course will change if the resource is failed over onto another
    node.
    Any ideas??

  • Linux/Unix Server Monitoring in Same Resource Pool as Windows Monitoring

    Hi
    We are planning to deploy OpsMgr 2012 R2 for our single site infrastructure. We wish to monitor Windows, Linux/Unix and Network Devices. I know that separate resource pools are recommended for monitoring Network devices but can we have a single resource
    pool that can monitor Windows as well as Linux/Unix systems?
    If same resource pool can be used for Windows as well as Linux/Unix systems, what are the limitations of doing this vs using separate resource pools for them.
    Thanks
    Taranjeet Singh
    zamn

    Hi Tranjeet, In answer to your questions:
    1. Having separate resource pools (in case of Windows and Linux systems) and single Management Server in each resource pool
    A: Dedicated specific management servers for specific servers to be monitored from. (ie isolation of environments like test dev prod)
    2. Having single resource pool with multiple Management Servers managing Windows as well as Linux systems.
    HA
    Cheers,
    Martin

  • Unable to read a resources file from my page

    Hi,
    I am trying to read a file from the project resources and I can't have access to the physical file. I have the following code in my page:
    javax.faces.context.ExternalContext ec = this.getExternalContext();
    URL url = ec.getResource("/resources/displayPassengers.xsl");
    InputSource inputSourceXSL = new InputSource(url.toExternalForm());
    InputStream inpStreamXSL = null;
    if (inputSourceXSL.getByteStream() != null) {
    log("Loading xml file: " + url.toExternalForm());
    inpStreamXSL = inputSourceXSL.getByteStream();
    } else {
    log("Unable to extract URL from Page context: WEB-INF/displayPassengers.xsl");
    The url is not null.
    The inputSourceXSL is not null and inputSourceXSL.getByteStream() is always null.
    Please let me know how to access the file.
    Rgrds.

    this should work
    InputSource inputSourceXSL = new InputSource(url.openStream());

  • Monitor historical session resources with sql statements

    Hi,
    I would like to write some queries to retrieve the following data from my database:
    For a certain day, give me the total
    physical read total bytes
    physical write total bytes
    cpu usage?
    from my sessions in the database. I have specific groups I want to monitor, certain logon users that run the same batch program.
    I guess the above stats are waits although I 'm not sure about cpu usage.
    Can I monitor this with dba_hist_active_sess_history? How do I translate the waits named above to the dba_hist_active_sess_history columns? I know this view only holds data for about 7 days, but that is fine.
    Kind regards,

    On my Oracle 10.1 databases the wait_class and session state fields do not seem to be defined in:

  • Alert monitor PP/DS resource alert default priority error

    Hi Guys,
    I am seeing DP (Default Priority) column showing error lable in PP/DS alert profile against
    1. Overload on single activity resource
    2. Overload on Multi-activity resource
    3. Characteristics mismatch on resource
    Where can I set this right...cos this is leading me to non display of overload capacity though the resource is actually overloaded.
    Thanks In advance
    Regards
    Prasanna.

    HI Prasanna,
    Threshold limits for resource overload alerts are specified in the Alert Monitor profile for PPDS and not in the resource master. In resource master you define the bucket capacity for the resource.
    In the Alert Monitor profile, you specify 3 threshold values, namely, information, warning and error. Suggest you take the below steps to see if the Alert profile is really working:
    1. Identify a test resource
    2. Define the block capacity as per your requirement.
    3. Create orders on the test resource such that it becomes overloaded.
    4. In the Alert Monitor profile, define a new PPDS alert Profile keeping the below points in mind:
                  a) Select "Resource Utilization in Bucket(PPDS)"
                  b) Define the threshhold values for the above three types of alerts
                  c) Fill the selection of resources tab with the test reosurce and test location
                  d) DO NOT MAKE ANY OTHER SELECTION
                  e) Save the profile
                  f) Redertmine the alerts
    It should display all the Alerts, if any on the above test resource. One point to note here is that, if in DP column, the alert type is ERROR (ie red) then only the values which are above the Threshold value for ERROR shall be populated.
    Kindly take note of the planning version in which you are testing the scenario and it should be same in the Alert monitor profile as well.
    Please revert if you are still not able to see the alerts.
    Regards,
    Binod

  • Displaying Chinese read from resource bundles

    I have trouble displaying Chinese characters in my application. The text strings in the application that is shown to the user are put into resource bundles (ResourceBundle). In the file text_zh_TW.properties, the chinese text strings are located. The file is stored in UTF-8 format.
    When I fetch a chinese string from this file and display it in the GUI, it is not dispalyed properly. It is displayed almost like this '>'.
    When I "format" the file by using native2ascii, the chinese chars are replaced by unicode escape numbers in the file. Then it works. But I will rather not format the file, because it makes maintanence more difficult.
    I'm using JBuilder as development tool.
    Does anyone know how to do this?

    u are just trying to do nothing but the internalisation concept. usually wat we do is that for example if we want o display any french language or german language we just use go to the corresponding trnslating websites and fetch those french words or any other corresponding language and use to store those words .properties file and after that we will display those words for the selected language.
    now ur problem is that as we dont have chinese letters in our keyboards u just go to the sites which will translate those words u mention and u just take a print screen and convert those words by cutting using mspaint and save it as .jpg file format and display those wods correspondingly....

  • DAQ System Hanging Up/Monitoring Read Buffer

    Hi All,
    I am collecting data using two SCXI chasses with 1120 amplifier modules and SCXI 1112 thermocouple modules.
    I am monitoring 12 input voltages and 4 thermocouple inputs.
    I have set the samp,e rate to 2500S/s, and I am letting the software figure out how many samples to take each measurement.
    Most of the time, the system runs fine, at about a 16ms loop time.  However, every few seconds, the system will hang up for ~500ms between readings.  Any thoughts as to what might cause these hangups?
    I wonder if I am overflowing the read buffer.  Could that result in this type of behavior?  I think there is a way to monitor the read buffer, but I forget how to do it.  Can anyone tell me how to do that?
    Many thanks.

  • New mac user concerned about my mac hot monitor, read something about checking the activity monitor but I don't know what to do from there'

    Please help

    If your system is <90 days old, or you have Applecare, call Apple for support. Here are the numbers.
    If over 90 days and you don't have Applecare, install iStat Pro to see what is heating up. You can bring up Activity Monitor (on your hard drive in applications/utilities) to see if any programs are churning the CPU keeping it busy with 20% to 30% + usage. Be aware that the newer systems run hotter than older systems, and this is generally OK. Also, the ambient temperature of the room has a lot to do with system component temps.

  • Reading from resource file in JSP

    I'm trying to create a help system in an application I'm working on. I've created a javascript method that onloading of the page goes and attaches onclick events to all the fields with a particular class. That function needs to use the id of that node to look up a message from the resource.properties.
    My issue is I'm trying to make the resource.properties available to my javascript. I realize that the messageBundle is server side and javascript is not, but I was hoping I could iterate through the messages and create a javascript array of the messages by embedding javascript variable declaration inside the forEach loop.
    The reason I'm doing it this way is I want to just be able to go through and aed an ID to the field on all my pages that I want to add help for. I don't want to have to have to build an onclick event for each and every field.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    I went so far as trying to load a map of messages in through java, but the MessageResources class doesn't have an iterator.

    I was doing ResourceBundle
    test = ResourceBundle.getBundle("....resources.properties");
    instead of
    test = ResourceBundle.getBundle("....resources");
    Thanks for the help
