Monitor signal cable not detected by pxi1036

Hi,
Actually I Connected PXI 1036 to Monitor ..but did not get any display or mesaage in monitor After it power up .

If the controller boots, you should get some info like BIOS before Windows is booting.
If that info displays, you have a too high resolution configured in Windows for the given monitor. Go into safe mode (F8) to reduce it.
If you see nothing (not even BIOS):
Make sure that monitor is switched on and working (test with other PC)
Make sure that the controller is alive (e.g. accessing harddrive)

  • T420 - external 24" monitor DVI- Displayport : not detected when connected via KVM switch

    Hi,
I've been using a 2port USB KVM Switch from InLine for a long time connecting a mac mini and a macbook pro
to a 24" LCD. Recently I had to replace the MacBookPro with a T420. Unfortunately the T420 does not detect the
monitor, when connected via the KVM switch.
    I tried:
    A) T420 -> Lenovo Displayport to DVI-Adapter -> KVM-Switch -> 24" monitor: NO SUCCESS
    B) T420 -> Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 DVI Port-> KVM Seitch -> 24" monitor : NO SUCCESS
    C) T420 ->Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 DVI Port-> 24" monitor - > SUCCESS
    D) T420 ->Thinkpad miniDock Series 3 VGA Port -> 24" monitor - > SUCCESS
So I have a workaround, but leaving out the KVM switch is not a long term option.
This is all on Win 7 professional / 64bit
Using config (A) I then installed the Intel HD Graphics Driver version 8.15.10.2342 16 May 2011
SURPRISE: during driver install, the monitor WAS detected!!!
SECOND SURPRISE: after reboot I was back in the old situation where the monitor was NOT DETECTED
    CONCLUSION:
Seems like a software issue with the Intel HD Graphice driver.
    ANY HINT/COMMENT/HELP highly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Michael

    hey mgold,
as the T420 works correctly with the external monitor and with the miniDock ; it is sad to say the the KVM switch is non-compatible.
I would recommend that you get in contact with the manufacturer of the KVM. At the same time, try uninstalling the current video drivers of your T420 and see if it makes any difference with the KVM if the T420 is running on a generic driver

  • Ethernet cable not detected by port

    Hello,
The ethernet cable of my laptop is not being detected by port. Also the network adapter settings is not showing lan/ ethernet. This problem arose all of a sudden. I did recovery but no help. I reintalled Realtek LAn all in one window adapter but it did not istall. It gives an error that realtek controller was not found. What should i do now?

    Hi @microbio ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP 15 b005DU Notebook and issues with the Ethernet connection. Here is a link to troubleshoot the Internet connections. The Ethernet cable should have a light flashing to show operation. Do you see the light on the cable?
Here is a document on Airplane mode.
If Airplane mode is on you cannot use your WiFi or Ethernet, so Airplane mode should off.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • Ethernet Cables not detected

    Greetings all,
I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo that's been working flawlessly for quite a while. Last Thursday a sudden lightning storm came through the area and after some power fluctuations due to it, my ethernet port stopped detecting any connections. My sister's 2010 MBP was connected exactly the same way as I was, and her laptop isn't having any issues.
I've tried the Apple Hardware Test - running both the standard and thorough tests returns no problems with the system. System Profiler is showing two ethernet devices on my system - an Ethernet Controller named "ethernet" with a kext name of nvenet.kext and another network controller which I think is the Airport. I've reset the PRAM and SMC to no avail. I've tried different cables, but none of them have worked. The router my laptop is connected to is working flawlessly (I'm typing this on my laptop through the wifi). If my ethernet card were fried, wouldn't the Apple Hardware Test return something?

wouldn't the Apple Hardware Test return something?
Not necessarily. If it's fried, then there's nothing for AHT to detect, so it can't report anything wrong.

  • MSI GX60 HDMI to mini displayport cable not detecting

    Hello All,
I've had my 2 LG 27EA33 monitors hooked up to the laptop via 1 HDMI (main display) and 1 VGA (secondary). Everything was working grand until I recently moved the configuration around and needed a longer VGA cable. Instead of buying a longer VGA, I found a 10' HDMI to mini displayport cable on newegg for around 10 bucks. What a deal I thought! Well, I cant seem to get the laptop to recognize my 2nd monitor now. Once connected the AMD Vision program doesnt recognize. When I plug/unplug I get flickering and then blank screens until I disconnect it.
If anything I'll buy a longer VGA cable... but would like to make this work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

btw the imac is a late 2009 model and is 27"

  • MacAir not detecting external monitor. 'check signal cable' error

Brand new MacAir OX 10.7.4 not detecting samsung external monitor. I keep getting 'check signal cable' error on a blank screen.

    Hi Walter,
I'm not sure this'll fix your problem, & it's info from earlier OSX versions, but I'll toss it out...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions...
    Trash these files...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost /com.apple.windowserver.<12digitHex#>.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/.GlobalPreferences.<12digitHex#>. plist
There may be more than one of each of the above, then trash...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    Reboot
You could test it by first, depending on OS version...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

  • HT1338 cannot connect my MacBook Air to a projector  -does not detect and 2nd monitor. I have a new Mini port to VGA cable made by apple. When I read online I see that many people have the same problem - Is this an Apple defect??????????????????

I cannot connect my MacBook Air to a projector - It will not detect a 2nd monitor or display. I am using an Apple made Mini Display port to VGA adapter. As I read online I see that many other peple are having the same problem. Is this an Apple defect!!???? If so it just burst the bubble about how great macs are. I never had a problem with that on a PC. I hope I am wrong. What can you tell me?

    Hi There,
I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

  • My imac will not detect external monitor after recent update. Is there a way to fix this?

I have a VGA monitor plugged in to my imac using the VGA adapter to the mini-DVI.  All was working well.  Since I updated over the weekend, the computer will not detect the monitor.
Any ideas how to fix this?

    Pcantin wrote:
I have tried another VGA monitor and that failed as well.  Since you don't think the update was the cause, it may be that the adapter I am using decided to call it quits.  I will see if I can find another and test that out.
I will look into the external drive idea as well.
Thanks for your help on this.
I didn't think about the adaptor, but you should at least visually inspect both the adaptor and the cable at both ends. If one or more pins got bent even slightly the connection might fail. The cables can also fail internally. Replacing the adaptor and cable may be the quickest thing to do initially. If you want to try to save money, first replace the adaptor, and if the problem persists, then go replace the cable (or vice versa).

  • Macbook Pro(Mid-2014) Not Detecting External Monitor

Hi everyone, I'm trying to connect my MBP to an external monitor via HDMI. Since my MBP has an HDMI port built in, I'm not using any adapters between it and the monitor. But nothing is happening when I connect the HDMI cable, my MBP does not seem to detect it. I have tested my monitor with that HDMI cable on a desktop PC, and it all works without any issues there, so I reckon it must be something on the MBP end of the connection. But what could it possibly be? I have looked through forums and read countless threads about external display problems, but have not found any info that could identify the problem. I have tried booting my MBP and/or turning on my monitor before and after connecting the HDMI cable, and there was never even a hint of detection.
I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, and the external monitor in question is an HP Pavilion 27Xi in 1080p.

I have a problem connecting external display (Dell U2311H) to my 13" MacBook Pro (Early 2011).
I use Tecklink Mini DasplayPort to HDMI adapter (http://www.techlink.uk.com/products/wires_cables/wiresmedia/wiresmedia_media/wir esmedia_mini_displayport_plug_to_hdmi_plug), but since U2311H doesn't have HDMI input, I also use Manhattan DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (http://www.manhattan-products.com/en-US/products/8101-displayport-adapter).
    And nothing.
The display is not detected, no picture or even external monitor presence at all.
I even reset PRAM, and installed 10.8.2 Supplementary update.
I also plugged and unplugged all I could, with no luck.
As I can see on Apple discussion, it is a common problem with 2011 MacBook Pro's.
It seems like the problem is in Thundebolt port, it somehow does not work properly.

  • T61 and the Intel Graphics Card error - external monitor not detected

T61 with Vista 32 bit, Mobile Intel® GM965 Express Chipset and an Advanced Mini Dock.
I am trying to use the DVI port and an external monitor. The driver does not detect the external monitor.
Uninstalling the Intel driver the Generic profile will work on the external monitor, but is overly fuzzy, how do I get the T61 to recognize my external monitor with the right drivers?
I am currently running the Intel Driver Ver. - 7.14.10.1329, which provides the message under Multiple Display:
Two displays must be connected to the computer before you can use this feature. Please connect another display.
Of course my 22" monitor is connected.  That is the frustrating part.  I have also uninstalled Presentation Director, just in case, but then re-installed after it seemed that wasn't the problem.
There is a newer driver from Intel but it is not Lenovo approved yet I guess. Though I highly doubt this is the problem. What can I do?
    ~~
I did post a thread on the thinkpads.com too, but so far haven't had any luck.

Well the new dock came but didn't fix the problem.  Now my nice new T61 is packed up in a depot box, waiting for DHL to come pick it up.
dkaufman1 -- I guess we do have different problems.  If I set my T61 to display to the DVI port in the bios I get a blank screens on both the DVI connectd monitor and the laptop screen until the OS boots when I have the laptop in the dock.  The only way I can see the bios screen to set it back to the ThinkPad LCD setting is to boot it disconnected from the dock.
I really hope that this problem is resolved, as I really like the T61 otherwise.  I was even using it with the VGA cable connected to my 22" monitor, but it was pretty hard to take.   I'm now back to my old desktop hooked up to the same monitor via DVI and it is quite the relief, even if it isn't as zippy as the T61.

  • IMac 24" could not detect external monitor (early 2009 model)?

I am trying to add a second monitor to my iMac through the mini Display port with a mini-Display to VGA convert cable, somehow my iMac could not detect the second monitor at all on the preference-display menu. After connected the cable and an external monitor I restarted iMac a few times, the external monitor still could not be detected.
Any suggestions? Any simple method to test if the mini Display port is working properly? My iMac OSX 10.8.5
    Thanks
    David

    Hi,
Just tried another miniDisplay - VGA cable, it works! No need to restart iMac. Immeditely I can bring display windows to the second monitor, say, a DVD movie play to the second monitor while working on the main iMac monitor for other tasks.
