Monitoring critical transaction in SL report

Hi,
I am not able to  add business critical transaction in SL report configuration. It shows TOP LOADED transaction which is not requirement. I like to add new transaction as per customer requirement,
We have recently upgraded solution manger to SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 and after that earlier SLR configuration disappeared and also old settings. we have configured new one but we are not able to set up Critical transaction. I tried to set using Business process monitoring in Solution directory but it did not reflect in report.
Also earlier we used to get all report/graph in html format but now it is only available in word format. Is it normal or we need to activate any setting.
Can you please suggest on above two problem ?
Thanks in advance.
regards,

Hi,
Service Level Reporting is based on your EWA. For your requirement, you need to setup up BPM for monitoring your required transaction.
Once you are done with your BPM, go to Service Level Reporting Setup under Operations Setup in DSWP. When you click on setup Service Level Reporting you will have Active Variants available. If you selec the variant you will have a tab Business Processes. There you can select your business process which is monitoring your Tcode. After have setup this your SL Report will show the Business Process that you have selected.
Hope this solves your problem.
Feel free to revert back.

Apart from being positive we should provide what is being requested / asked for

Who has the access and who are executing when is different. However, i agree to that point that you can use what you said for the "who has access" part of it. But not for "monitor the execution of critical transactions" part o it.

  • FFLOGCRT Send Log Report with Critical Transactions Only

    Hi ,
I have configured FF (SPM) where in Controllers are getting FF ID login notifications through Emails. Now I have a requirement to stop these notifications and send them only for critical transactions.I have configured critical transactions in table /VIRSA/ZVIRTCODE.
In order to get notifications only for critical transactions I have updated the configuration as below.
    CHGLOG Retrieve Change Log     YES
FFAUTH Firefighter Owner Additional Authorization     YES
FFCNTL Firefighter Controller Additional Authorization     YES
FFLOGCRT Send Log Report with Critical Transactions Only     YES
FFLOGIM Send Log Report Execution Notification Immediately     NO
FFLOGNOTI Send Log Report Execution Notification     NO
FFNOTIM Send Firefighter Login Notification Immediately     NO
MAIL Send FirefightId Login Notification     NO
    RFC Remote Function Call     LOCAL
My controllers are not getting notified for critical transactions with above config. Please can you suggest where am I going wrong.
    SOST/SCOT working fine.
ps: I have gone through the note Note 1065048 - Firefighter Log Not sent in Email to Controller.pdf

    Hi Simon,
I am not using risk analysis and remediation's critical transactions table. My FF (SPM) specific crtitcal transactions are in table
    /VIRSA/ZVIRTCODE.
CTRAN Critical Transaction Table from Compliance Calibrator(VRAT)     NO.
I am under impression that table /VIRSA/ZVIRTCODE is used by FF for critical transactions.
    Thanks!!

  • Critical actions in SPM reports

    Hi all,
One question in the way SPM retrives data from when reporting:
I have seen in SPM report "SoD Conflicts Report" that SPM integrates with RAR in order to identifiy SoD Conflicts.
Regarding, the critical actions filtering applied in SPM reports, where this information validation is it retrieved from? Critical actions defined in RAR OR critical actions maintained in R/3 transaction VFAT? What is to say in frontend (RAR) or backend (R/3)?
Many thanks in advance. Best regards,
      Imanol

    Hi Imanol,
It totally depends on your configuration. Go to SPM/FF -> Configuration tab. There is a parameter called 'Critical Transaction Table from Compliance Calibrator (VRAT)'. If the value is not maintained or if the value is 'NO' then SPM/FF will look at it's own critical tcode table. If the value is 'YES' then SPM/FF will look at RAR/CC for critical tcode table and you don't need to maintain critical tcodes in SPM/FF.

  • Critical transactions in GRC RAR 5.3

    Hi,
we have an option in GRC RAR 5.3 to fetch the critical action report in informer. how can i add some more critical actions into the GRC, is there a facility in GRC RAR to add critical transactions or this should be done through backend??. kindly advice.
    thanks

    Hi,
The process is very simple, identify your sensitive/critical transactions, make functions and then define risks as critical acttions in RAR. After generating rules, you will be able to run risk analysis for those critical/Sensitive transactions.

  • Compliance Calibrator Critical Transactions

We implemented CC last year, and that is going well.  The critical Role/Profiles is working, but I am having difficulties getting the critical transactions working.
Is anyone currently using Critical transactions, and would you be willing to share your best practice?
    Thanks!
    Kathy Moynihan

Thanks.  We have a list of critical transactions, it is the technical portion in CC that we are having an issue with.
I am looking for the process others have used to create critical transactions in CC and have them report out.
    Thanks

  • Transaction code for report

    Hi All,
I am new to SAP area. I have created ABAP program (Report and variant) which generate list of materials. User would like to run whenever they want and have little knowledge of SAP. So I would like to provide Transaction code for this report to user. Can anyone let me know how to create transaction code for report. Also suggest, if any other option available to provide the same to user.

    Hi Yogesh,
Just as an option, you necessarily dont need to create a transaction so that the user can run the report. You can include the report in the menu for the user within his role to which he is assigned.
Hence on SAP easy access screen when he logs in, the user would be able to see the report  all he needs to do is double click.
    Just an option for you.

    Aditya
p.s. Transaction for role maintenance is PFCG .... refer to your basis consultant for more information

  • How to provide access to Critical Transactions in GRC AC 10.0

    +Hello Gurus,+
+We are in phase of implementing GRC AC 10.0 , and have a requirement where there are "Critical Transactions" identified by the Business and if there is any end user who wants to access any specific "Critical Transaction" e.g. PA30 etc then it must automatically go to a specific Owner of that transaction.+
+As far as i know , we can have a workflow for getting a role assigned, but not sure if it is possible to have a workflow where every "critical transaction" will have an owner and then on selection of the transaction it will trigger a workflow.+
+I would also like to know what is a standard or rather best practice in SAP GRC , regarding providing access to "CRITICAL Transactions" ??+
+We thought of creating a role containing multiple "Critical transactions" and then assigning to the firefighter ID , for which we have an approval workflow !! But that does not help , as assigning the role will give user access to some other "critical transactions" as well which we would like to control.+
+Looking forward to know about the suggestion/solution for this issue.+
    +Thanks in advance.+

I think that only one firefighter with all the critical transactions is not a good idea. I guess it's better to have different firefighters IDs assigned to different users. The point here is to decide if you really want to have a trace for all critical transactions executions.
    An example:
Tx. SM37 is considered a critical transaction if the user has also the auth. object S_BTCH_ADM set to "yes".  This allows to delete or copy others user's jobs. This is and authorization that a Basis person must have. Do you really want to trace this?
I think that force a Basis person to use a firefighter for this is nonsense, because this tx. is part of his/her job. Then, you should accept this sort of risks, otherwise you'll get the point where you replace the normal users with FF users. This is not the idea of FF.
Of course, this is just a thought and all depends on your business requirements.
    Cheers,
    Diego.

  • How to assign transaction code to report group.

    hi experts,
i used report painter to create some reports and assign these reports to a report group, i want to assign a transaction code to the report group, how can i do that? hunger for your adivces, thanks a lot!!

    Hi Liu,
when you change an area menu, you can add transactions that launch ABAP/4 reports, Query lists or report writer's. You can use it for your purpose:
    1. Enter transaction SE43 and change a Z* area menu (no matter which one, you will not change it in the end)
    2. Click on "Add entry as subnode" or "Add entry at the same level" (no matter which one of them)
    3. When SAP shows the popup "Add new entries", click on "Add report"
    4. On the next popup, click on radio-button "Report Writer". Then you will be asked foe the code of the report group.
    5. Then save, and... that's it! SAP will automatically create a transaction for the report group
    6. Now you can cancel the changing of the area menu
I hope this helps. Best regards,
    Alvaro

  • How to assigne transaction Variant to Report

    Dear Hcm Gurus:
i have to develop a report by using infoset query and also assigned transaction via se93
    Report is alv-based.
so when i access report through t-code "ZHR_STAFF" and  save variant /default then this variant not
outcome with desired result when i again access said mentioned t-code so kindly guide me when i access
t-code then default variant is automatically displayed.
    barket

    Hi:
Please, go to tcode SE93 and modify your transaction code adding your variant name in the field Start with variant (RSSTCD-REPO_VARI).
This way while calling tcode ZHR_STAFF the program will be automatically initialized with the specific recorded value for the specified variant.
    Hope it helps,
    Regards.

  • CCMS qRFC Monitoring: Missing Transactional and Queued RFC Monitoring Nodes

    Hi ,
We are trying to create a Queued RFC monitoring for VERTEX Queued , but we are missing CCMS Monitor Templates,in monitor Communications -->Transactional RFC and Queued RFC in Dev  and PROD  ,but its present in QA System .
I have checked all system are at same level for support packs , kernel version .
    I have refered following Notes - 441269,437187,455431, 485826
Can we create manually new one , but we are missing MTE class also ?
Can we create new monitoring template ?
We are running 4.6c with basis support pack level :
    SAP_BASIS    46C           0054    SAPKB46C54
    SAP_ABA      46C           0054    SAPKA46C54
    Thanks
    Hamendra

    Hamendra,
Please make sure background dispatching is activated in your system. Go to tcode RZ21 and menu Technical Infrastructure --> Method execution --> Active background dispatching.
This should schedule a job called SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP. This is the job that will run the function for building the ALE/EDI monitoring segment.
After scheduling the job check back in a few hours, if the ALE/EDI monitor is still not there try the following.
    1. Go to tcode RZ21
    2. In the topology section choose radio button "Segment overview" and click display
    3. Go into change mode and delete the monitoring segments
This will force the system to recreate all the monitoring contexts.
Check back in a few hours and see if the monitor is working.

  • Risk Analysis not highlighting SODs for critical transactions

    Hi,
I am currently experiencing a problem when running risk analysis for critical transactions.
SOD conflicts are not always being detected for critical transactions. This is happening both in role expert while creating a role and during role simulation in CC. For example risk BSSC, SU01 does not produce a violation when added to a role, but SOY1 does.
It seems to be happening consistently. If  a transaction in risk BSSC has a permission object associated with it in the ruleset, a violation(at tcode or object level) is not detected by the risk analysis even when this authorisation object is maintained with the same value as in the rule set. If the transaction has no permission objects specified in the ruleset, then a violation is detected at tcode level analysis.
These transactions are standard transactions in the ruleset and have not been changed in any way. I have checked the rules and there are critical action rules for both transactions.
    Has anybody experienced similiar problems?

    Hi..
Check the note # SAP Note 1121978
SAP Note 1121978 - Recommended settings to improve peformance risk analysis.
    Check for the following...
    CONFIGTOOL>SERVER>MANAGERS>THREADMANAGER
    ChangeThreadCountStep =50
    InitialThreadCount= 100
    MaxThreadCount =200
    MinThreadCount =50

  • Hide period 13 transactions in XL Report writer

Does any one know how we can hide closing entries from our period 12 transactions in XL Report writer?
Currently our transactions are all out of balance for period 12 and we do not know how to filter out.
    Many thanks

Under the Dimension "original Journal" you can choose to exclude opening balance and /or closing balance.
    That should do the trick
