Monitoring external mailflow of Exhange 2013

Hi
I need to use SCOM 2012 R2 to monitor external mailflow on Exchange 2013.  Please help!

Hi,
Please import Exchange 2013 management pack to your management group:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-hk/download/details.aspx?id=39039
I hope there are monitors that can be used to monitor mail flows within the management pack.
And there is a powershell command Test-Mailflow which can be used to check mail flow:

Hope this helps.

  • How do I install Bootcamp Windows 8.1 To Go on an external USB disk (MBA 2013)

    Hi,
    I've got a new 11" 2013 macbook air with 128gb SSD. I've downloaded the windows 8.1 enterprise preview, and am trying to figure out how to install it on a 64gb USB3 Flash drive instead of on my SSD. The Flash drive speeds clock around 150mbs read/write so should be fast enough
    I've managed to install the windows 8.1 preview on my SSD with BootCamp, but would like to erase that and try the new Windows To Go instead to install on the external drive.
    Anyone know what the steps are?

    There are 5 supported flash drives: which one do you have?
    Hardware considerations
    Windows To Go works both on USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connections, and both on legacy BIOS and UEFI firmware.[11] Not all USB drives can be used in this environment; Microsoft has set up specific testing requirements that the USB drive manufacturer must meet in order to be a supported device. Currently there are five USB Flash memory devices listed as supported by Microsoft for Windows To Go:
    Imation IronKey Workspace[15]
    Kingston DataTraveler Workspace[16]
    SPYRUS Portable Workplace[17][18]
    SPYRUS Secure Portable Workplace (w/ Hardware Encryption)[19][20]

  • Unable to change and re-publish existing InfoPath forms on External SharePoint lists (SharePoint 2013 Enterprise Online and On Premise)

    Hi everybody,
    I really reached the limit of my diagnostic ability... ...please help me!!!!
    I subscribed an Online Sharepoint 2013 Development site to try Business Connectivity Services and InfoPath forms. Using SharePoint Designer 2013 I successfully created an external content type
    and an external list, including InfoPath forms.
    When I use InfoPath Designer 2013 to customize the forms I can open and change them without any problems, but when I try to publish the changes I made I get the following error:
    "An error has occurred. The form template has been published to the server but it can only be opened using InfoPath filler"
    (please note that I changed just an existing label, without adding any new control or new fields).
    If I try to do exactly the same things but with an normal SharePoint list everything works like a charm!
    I noted that the main difference between the internal/external list is that with the internal list the publishing path in InfoPath 2013 is something like:
    https://<sharepointsite>/lists/<listname>
     whereas for the external list is something like the following:
     https://<sharepointsite>/lists/<listname>/item/template.xsn
    Trying to overcome the problem I installed SharePoint 2013 Enterprise on premise using the VM from the Windows Azure Gallery. In this case the error I get when I try to publish with InfoPath
    Designer 2013 is the following:
     The following URL is not valid:
    http://<sharepointsite>/lists/<listname>/item/template.xsn
    and of course everything works fine with InfoPath Designer 2013 and regular SharePoint lists.
    Even if I believe the problem is in general with external list and InfoPath, my external list is based on a the "Product" table from the "AdventureWorks2012" sample database
    installed on SQL Azure and connected to SharePoint via Business Connectivity Services.
    A big
    thanks in advance to anyone who is able to
    provide useful information to solve the problem!!!
    Regards,
    Fabio

    Hi Folks,
    Same issue here for any external list. We've migrated from 2010 to 2013 - it used to be fine on 2010. 2013 seems hang after 'getting site column information' then nothing. All effected users can quick publish to regular sharepoint lists, but cannot to external
    lists.
    In our situation we are trying to quick publish to sites using the 2010 look and feel in a 2013 environment. using SharePoint Designer 2013 and InfoPath 2013.

  • Send mail to an external recipient in a 2013 Workflow

    Hi,
    What is the recommended method for sending an Email to an external email address form within a SharePoint 2013 Workflow?
    Regards,
    Dean

    1. In Central Admin and Web Apps general settings - choose Workflows.
    Adjust the setting "Allow external users to participate in workflow by sending them a copy of the document?" to yes. Default is no.
    2. Just mention their email address in workflow and make sure that your SMTP server can send email to that email address.
    3. Configure your SMTP server to receive email from SP server

  • No external images in Outlook 2013 & no internet access in Internet Explorer 11

    I use a an automatic configuration script http://XXXXukproxy.internal.XXXXXXXX.com/proxy.pac
    I also use a combination of 2 VPNs through Avaya VPN Client or Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
    When I'm connected to the VPN with the Avaya VPN Client I can't get ANY internet pages to load in Internet Explorer and I can't get ANY external images to load in Outlook 2013
    I can use the exact same proxy settings in Chrome and Firefox with no problems what so ever.
    If I remove the automatic configuration script I still get no internet access in Internet Explorer.
    When I'm connected to the VPN with the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client it's fine. It's also fie when I'm not using any of the VPN's
    Anyone got any ideas? Can't be the proxy or the VPN as it's perfectly ok in Chrome and Firefox.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    First please run Outlook in Safe Mode:
    Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
    If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
    We may also try to change the Location of Temporary InternetExplorer Files in Internet Explorer to test the result (the steps below are for IE 10):
    Internet Explorer -> Internet options -> General
    tab -> Under Browsing history, click on Settings
    button -> Temporary Internet Files tab -> Under Current location, click on
    Move folder button -> Choose the new location, click
    OK.

  • Issue when calling an external web service - CRM 2013

    Hello everyone.
    This is my scenario:
    I'm doing a real time data integration from CRM to another software. I deployed several plugins, mostly in create/update messages, for the entities i want to sync. The developers of the other software gave me the endpoint of the web service and I created the
    client using svcutil. I manually created the binding and gave it to the generated client, along with the endpoint. At the first tests I could sync some registries, but I had some mapping errors. I debugged the plugin, corrected the errors, and when I
    want to tests again, the plugin is throwing me an exception when calls any method of the web service. Let me explain the issue:
    The exception:
    I instantiated the client for the web service (passing to it the binding and the endpoint). And when I'm trying to call any method (ex. Add), it throws the exceptions "InvalidOperationException". I started to debug the code and I notice that
    just before to call the web service method, the state of the client stills in "Opening". Of course that is generating the exception.
    The complete exception is: "The communication object, System.ServiceModel.ChannelFactory`1[IAxxisWcfServices], cannot be modified while it is in the Opening
    state."} System.SystemException {System.InvalidOperationException}
    I did a test, outside the CRM environment, on a console app with the same conditions of the web services client (generating with svcutil, manually passing the same binding and endpoint), and the same order of the plugin code, and everything works well; The
    state of the client never stills in 'Opening', so I discarded any problem with the web service.
    Anyone knows if I'm missing something in the code? or some configuration?
    The CRM is 2013 On-premise with last updates.
    Thanks in advance.

    I tried adding the web reference in a console app and works fine. In the plugins this can't be done, because the plugins are deploy in database.
    I tried another basic test using ChannelFactory. Only want to retrieve some entity through the external web services:
    IPluginExecutionContext context = localContext.PluginExecutionContext;
    IOrganizationService service = localContext.OrganizationService;
    ITracingService tracer = localContext.TracingService;
    try
    BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding();
    binding.Name = "BasicHttpBinding_IAxxisWcfServices";
    binding.Security.Mode = BasicHttpSecurityMode.None;
    binding.Security.Transport.ProxyCredentialType = HttpProxyCredentialType.None;
    binding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.None;
    EndpointAddress endpoint = new EndpointAddress(@"http://*****.svc");
    ChannelFactory<IAxxisWcfServices> factory = new ChannelFactory<IAxxisWcfServices>(binding, endpoint);
    IAxxisWcfServices channel = factory.CreateChannel();
    var entity = channel.FindByEntities(new CRM.Application.Context.Dtos.Asegurado( { CrmGuid = "7C3E96C6-C3BC-E411-80DF-0A736AE14667" }, null, new CRM.Framework.Session() { User = "***", Password = "***" });
    catch (Exception ex)
    throw new InvalidPluginExecutionException(ex.Message);
    That test threw the following exception on the GenericParameterAttributes of channelType of factory object:

  • Will Blackmagic ever let us monitor externally?

    We're on Blackmagic Intensity Extreme and all works well with PP and AE (CC2014) but it is really unfortunate that because BlackMagic have DaVinci as their own grading package that it seems like they will never allow an external output from speed grade, in fact trying to find info was extremely depressing when I was finding so many people out there having issues with Blackmagic/Speedgrade.
    I contacted BM to ask why and they were either playing games or completely stupid as they said they did not know what Speedgrade was.
    I would say the later, because what company in their right mind would not know about their competition??
    Seems like a great time for other i/o companies like Matrox/AJA etc to unite and offer a good deal on trade ins??
    Anyone have a better solution to BM and/or external monitoring for ALL CC2014 apps?

    I think you may be correct about BM ... they certainly make good hardware and all sorts of interesting stuff too (including camera gear to drool over) ... but at NAB in Vegas this March, the Blackmagic "booth" was the next one down just across the aisle from Adobe's LARGE area, where the changes to Speedgrade was one of their featured headers. Adobe's "auditorium" actually faced right at the BM booth, so you could stand in the aisle in front of BM and hear/see the Adobe presenters talking every half-hour about a different Adobe program. Naturally, Sg was the program under discussion quite a few times during that multi-day event. So there's no way the tons of BM staff there handling questions on all their gear didn't know what was going on at Adobe. You'd think their online staff would be adequately prepped to handle things ... the Adobe staff and allied presenters at NAB were certainly very aware of the capabilities and predilections of every competitive program out there. Had several discussions with both presenters & Adobe staff on such things standing in the aisles.
    Further, all the people going forth & back between programs & gear companies constantly phrased questions in terms of "Y program does this and this, but can't do that ... how does your program/gear work compared to theirs?" I'd think that any competent knowledgeable person in "colour-grading" will know of such things as Colorista, Avid, Speedgrade, AeFx, Resolve, and several others.
    Blackmagic certainly knows Speedgrade exists ... and to be honest, I talked with a number of people who use Bm gear and some software that are very frustrated, and spent time talking with Matrox and AJA about changing the monitor-control handling setup in their workstation/s. Personally, I've seen fewer problems listed on these & other boards from people running Matrox stuff than either AJA or Bm. I've no personal experience with the items, though I am considering my next upgrade being a Matrox box ... so take my comments with a good handful of salt.

  • Monitoring and Testing Lync Server 2013 Performance

    Good day ,
    I have two questions :
    1 - Even though it is not recommended . How can I use Stress and Performance tool to test my production Lync Servers
    using current users accounts and profiles without making any changes to AD or Lync topology?
    2 - What are the most important Lync server counters to be monitored and is it enough to use Windows Performance monitoring tool for that purpose ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards Bisher Shbib

    Hi,
    For your first question, there are no stress tools currently available specific for Lync 2013 now. Here is a similar case may help you:

  • MONITORING EXTERNAL MIDI?

    Goal: To be able to monitor the audio of my external synth module through my Presonus/FIREBOX.
    Current Status: External MIDI is communicating with Logic, but no external MIDI heard through FIREBOX interface.
    Equipment: Yamaha S90 controller keyboard, Roland Fantom XR synth module, Presonus Firebox interface, iMac running Logic Pro 8.0.2
    Current Connections: Yamaha Controller running MIDI out to Roland synth module MIDI in. From Roland synth module USB/MIDI connected directly to iMac.
    I know the Firebox is not currently involved in my setup, but I've tried to follow the Roland Fantom manual (setup) and even with my 1/4 inch cables running OUT of Fantom into FIREBOX (Instr 1 & 2 INPUTS), I hear no Fantom sounds.
    I'm probable just burning out and not seeing the obvious, but i could really use a fresh outsider view on this. Many Advanced Thanks!

    I suggest you to look insid Utility Plugins
    there is I/O plugin that allow you to routing the master 1-2 to output 3-4 without problems...
    I/O plugin is one very simple but very useful... a clever idea of Logic developers!!
    (only now there is a similar function in Cubase 5)
    in Logic exist from the beginning... about 15 Years ago!

  • Audio Monitoring, external tv viewer - no sound on tv

    Hi.
    I'm having trouble getting my tv to play the audio as I view it. Is that normal?
    I can hear it on my computer, and i can see it on my tv, but I can't hear it.
    When I fiddle with View>Audio settings>Follow video, or >default, best I can do is hear real sketchy sound - almost like I'm listening to the fan on my computer through my camcorder.
    Any thoughts? I like the speakers built into my tv better than the ones on my computer.
    Thanks!
    fcp 5.1.4, Macbookpro w intel; wd 250 passport drive for scratch; firewire ntsc video out to camcorder, rca and dv (roundish jack) into tv.
    Using View>all frames, refresh external device, and tried all Audio playback settings.
    jc

    Audio follows video is the correct setup for sending audio to the camera then on to the monitor.
    Are your audio cables connected correctly?
    Do you have the camera set up properly to pass through the DV>analog conversion?
    Is the audio in 48khz/16bit format?

  • Audio monitoring- external mixer or Mac line-out?

    Is it preferable to monitor audio from FCP through an external mixer (Mackie 1202) or is it OK to simply set output to the Macpro line-out?
    (I notice the Bars and tone peak at -12- which reads as -10 on my mixer.
    For some reason i have always been used to setting my peak at 0 on the mixer
    So I'm confused if i should forget the external mixer all together- and just turn it on for the rare occasion I import analog signal)

    The main reasons for using an external analog mixer like the 1202 are:
    1. if you need a level control for your monitor speakers.
    2. if you have other analog sound sources that you want to mix in with your computer output
    3. if you need to need two headphone outputs for a voiceover session
    For most activities, you don't really need it.
    However, monitoring from your headphone output, whether it goes through
    a mixer or not, is not the best choice for computer audio.
    The best way to monitor your computer's audio is with a Firewire audio
    interface, taking digital out from FCP, and using high-quality converters
    to convert it to analog. Something like this:
    http://www.mackie.com/products/onyx820i/
    The meter on your 1202 is for analog signals. Typically you set those
    levels to be about 0dB on the Mackie's meter, which should correspond
    to +4 dBu on your main analog outputs.
    The meter in FCP is for digital audio. On that meter 0dB represents the
    absolute maximum, with no headroom, so you'll want to keep your levels
    around -12dB, more accurately -12dBFS.
    Since the headphone output is not pro, it would make sense that
    -12dBFS = -10dBu. In other words, your headphone jack's normal
    analog output level is lower than the normal pro audio +4dBu.

  • Hyperic HQ Plugin: Monitor External Hard Drives

    Hello dear forum members.
    I have been trying to figure out how to make a plugin to monitor the external HDs mounted on our Agent machines and I feel like I'm facing a brick wall.
    I have read quite a few tutorials and have some code already written but I don't know what to do.
    The server can identify these external hard drives through the View~>Live Exec: df command but it won't show up as a resource so I can, then, add alerts and so on. So I guess writing a plugin is the solution.
    Does someone know of a way to do this, or have already written one or something similar that I could adapt? I would appreciate it very much.
    *sorry if this is the wrong place to ask for code/tips regarding the plugin I need&

    Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I have many agents, on Linux and on Win32 machines.
    On a few of these agents, I have external HDs and/or NAS connected to them and Hyperic does not auto discover them. However, if I go to View->Live Exec>command df it will show me all the HDs and/or NAS, but you cannot put an alert here to fire when a certain % of usage is reached or whatever, so it's kind of useless for automatic monitoring.
    Therefore, the system/regular plugin does not discover it. I believe it's not that hard to create a plugin that uses SIGAR to execute a df command and auto discover it from there...
    Here's what I have so far:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <plugin name="plugin-hd-externo">
      <service name="HD">
      <metric name="Availability"
      indicator="true"
      template="sigar:Type=ProcFd,Arg=/"/>
      <plugin type="measurement" class="org.hyperic.hq.product.MeasurementPlugin"/>
      </service>
    </plugin>
    I believe that the template is wrong, and I cannot find what to use here. Maybe the plugin type isn't "measurement" and the class probably isn't "org.hyperic.hq.product.MeasurementPlugin". And the template too.
    Problem is, it's quite hard to find examples and documentation of templates, a list of options and types and whatnot. Very sad .
    Help, anyone?

  • Adding external address to Exchange 2013 Contact

    When editing a Contact in Exchange 2013, you go to the Email Options of the Contact to add additional email addresses and there is now a drop down box so you can only add email addresses from your internal domain.
    In previous versions of Exchange if was just a field you could type in and you could add email addresses from any domain including external ones.
    Anybody know how I can do this or if this functionality has been removed and why?
    Many thanks in advance.
