Monitoring IP Phone
i want to ask if there is a third party software to monitor the call history on IP telephony network.
your help will be appreciated
regards
Haytham,
There are a wide variety of applications, both third party and from Cisco, that have supervisory abilities. The main thing you need to look at is what version of CallManager you are running, and your current Cisco infrastructure.
I am not that familiar with third party products, but we have installed numerous Call Supervisor packages on Cisco solutions that allow supervisors to listen in and record agent conversations.
Best wishes!

Monitor multiple phone for incoming call
Hello,
I want to monitor multiple phone incoming call (retrieve callerID, ...)
I do that with Tapi, but when you configure TSP, it's only for one phone
I can install TSP several times, but ... for 40 phones ...
Are there other solutions ?
I use CCMEYes, you can use packet capture to sniff skinny. It works really well, and transparently across CallManager and CallManager Express. You'll need to perform packet decode which is a bit of work, and connect your server to the appropriate SPAN port, of course.

Newbie: stopping attachments and monitoring data use of account
Just got an iPhone 3GS and have managed to set it up all fine and sync with itunes. Had a Touch before so all ok on that score. I'm sycning with Mobile Me and with iTunes.
However, I have some questions that I can't find in the manual;
I have a phone account with 250mb data a month, which I guess isn't much, and I only really want to use the iPhone for mail when I'm out and about. However, I've been receiving emails where-ever I am. Where do I find the setting to switch on email via the phone network on and off?
I also assume its possible to set the mail account so that only the message, or a part of it comes through so I can limit my data use. How do I do this?
Is there any way I can monitor my phone, text and data use so I don't exceed my phone tariff?I installed an email account using the POP option and couldn't stop attachments downloading.
when I made this account inactive and installed a new mail account using IMAP option it then gave the option to manually download anything over about 300KB. this is the link from my isp that helped me:
http://www.netregistry.com.au/support/kb/questions.php?questionid=386
step 7 is where you select the IMAP option.
hopefully you are given that option by your ISP/email provider.

How to find out if someone's phone has I cloud backup?
Is there a way to find out if an Apple user has iCloud backup on their phone if you have their Apple ID and user password? My daughter has been up to something very suspicious lately and I would like to monitor her phone. But I need to know she has iCloud backup. So someone could please let me know if there's a way to figure this out without having access to the phone because she lived in a different state that would be wonderful thank you
Sounds to me you're up to something very suspicious.

How to find out who steals my phone and ban them?
Greetings,
I have a big problem here. I am using my iphone to connect my PC, desktop, TV, etc to internet, and I always mindful about my data rate since I am using metered data plan. But somehow, sine 2 month ago, my data usage suddenly increase tremendously. let's say, about 100 times higher than my normal rate.
Been monitoring my phone, I found 2-3 connection logged in when I unplug EVERYTHING from wall socket at my home that can connect to my device. I am sure someone is stealing my hotspot connection, and he probably is one of my neighbor. I don't know who, or which one.
I have tried to change my password 3 times, but that only works for about 1 week at most, then my data plan shot to the roof again. I NEED to secure my phone, or at least limit devices that are allowed to connect to my phone.
I don't want to change my password daily, but I can't let them use my connection forever. I need to limit connection to only selected device. My friend once came to my home and showed me how people do it, and how to ban such devices from connecting to his droid, but I've found no such thing on my phone, and nobody gave a clear answer on the internet on how to prevent that.
Please help.. this is driving me crazy.. I've paid some $3000 last month, and I am already scared to my bill this month. If you are referencing a specific web site, there is no way to determine who is set up as administrator. Contact the web site directly.
Barry
P.S. As a note, you already received an answer to your "401" question. Please do not rephrase a question and post it again. We are volunteers here and do not like to answer something that has already been addressed.

Span-Based Monitor of IPPA Agents at remote site for UCCX 9X
I understand to be able to monitor/record agents using IPPA (for UCCX), you need to utilize Span-based monitoring as opposed to Desktop Monitoring. According to the SRND, it also states that there should be no routing devices between agent phone (IPPA) and UCCX server which means no routers in between. Question I have is if I put the failover UCCX at the same location as the IPPA agents, would this work? I understand there might be an issue with redundancy with this scenario. Thoughts?
It is possible without QM. When using desktop monitoring, the phone is configured to Span to PC port. The agent must be running CAD and the PC running it must be attached to the PC port on the phone. CAD sees the spanned packets from the phone and then forwards them to the recording service on the CCX server. The big gotcha is that the NIC in the PC must not discard 802.1q-tagged packets. If the NIC discards them instead of forwarding them into the NDIS stack, CAD will never see them. Sometimes this takes a Google search and a registry setting change to fix if it doesn't work at first.

Watch/Monitor Buttons do not show the correct state
I programmed several Watch buttons on SPA500 module and some buttons stay lit red even though the phones are not used. When pressing the button it does call the Vacant phone.
How can I fix the state to be correct and only be lit red when the corrsponding phone is used?Hi Guys,
Was this problem ever resolved?
I am having the same issue. Cisco CME on 2851 router. We have several Cisco 7970 IP Phones all provisioned at the same time, and all working fine. I have a 7914 module monitoring the phones and one is showing as off hook. (BLF -1).
The phone that is showing offhook is ephone 7, it is being monitored by ephone 4. I have done factory reset, firmware upgrade, reset and everything recommended above but still having the issue. The red light indicates that the phone is offhook or not present although it is cleary registered to the CME.
You can see from the show ephone register below (ephone 4 is monitoring ephone 7) that ephone 7 is showing as offhook when it is not and is also registered and working. It shows:
button 33: cw:1 ccw:(0 0)
dn 22 number 122 CH1 IDLE CH2 IDLE watch(BLF on phone -1) shared with monitor-ring
I have attached config and tftp debug below. If any one can shed some light it would be much appreciated.

I have US Cell on a personal 8530. I recently added Enterprise for access to company email. I now have a desktop icon where i can get email from company and calander syncs etc. Now if I go to browser on my phone some sites are blocked by company. so two questions...1) can i override this? 2) can my employer now monitor any areas of my personal phone? not that i go to weird sites but it is a "personal" blackberry.
any help would be appeciated.
MM1. No, you can't override that.
2. Yes, your employer can monitor your phone.
Once you connect to a BES the device is under their control. It doesn't matter who paid for the phone. They set the policy and your BB is forced to adhere to it. You can disconnect and reset the device to factory to get rid of the policy but you won't get your company email and calendar, etc. if you can live with the policy they set then the benefits of BES outweigh the few restrictions. Your data is constantly backed up. If you were to lose your device it could be remotely wiped by the Admin and you could reactivate a new device and all your data would be restored from the server.

UCCX Finesse silent monitoring for direct dial calls
I completely understand that Finesse is geared towards the inbound contact center, at least for right now. Although I can't say the marketing materials really stress that. But I cannot understand the lack of silent monitoring for all call types. Currently silent monitoring only works for inbound calls from UCCX, and does not function for direct inbound calls, or direct dialed outbound calls.
From a system view, Finesse is using UCM's built in silent monitoring, via a very basic JTAPI command. There is very little engineering required to enable this functionality, and I truly thing is is a major limiting issue. Many customers in fact only want the ability to do silent monitoring and basic reporting, and Finesse would be a perfect product for this.
I am considering looking at putting together some custom scripts/web apps to engage the required JTAPI in CUCM via a Finesse Gadget, to replace the built in Finesse silent monitoring function. I'm curious if anyone has some input on how involved that might be, seems like I just really need to pass the monitoring DN and monitored DN through a JTAPI command.
More importantly, is there any hope for Finesse to support this natively? Or other outbound features? If it's a feature "in the works" we have a customer who might be able to "get by" using the Cisco Agent Desktop silent monitoring, but only if that is the case.
Good link on silent monitoring capability in Cisco Finesse: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/customer-collaboration/unified-contact-center-express/white-paper-c11-730883.htmlWe've got to delimit the problem.
When we use 3rd party recording solution there are 4 RTP flows: 1 incoming to monitored/recorded phone and 3 flows outgoing.
1 incoming RTP flows
- voice of remote phone
3 outgoing RTP flows
- voice of monitored/recorded phone
- voice of monitored/recorded phone sent to 3d party recording server
- voice of remote phone sent to 3rd party recording server
When we use a network analyzer we see that the agent running in the PC (UCCX 5.0) establishes two RTP flows for the monitoring session. But we can see that one of these flows sends 3 packet RTP per 1 packet RTP sent in the other RTP flow (in the same time).
We think agent sends to monitoring device all the outoing RTP packets of the phone (that belong to three different RTP flows), instead of sending only the RTP packets belonging to voice of monitored/recorded phone.
The other flow, voice of remote phone, sounds fine.
Is there a solution to avoid this problem when we monitor with UCCX 5.0 and record with a 3rd party software at the same time?
Thanks,

No phone and not able to contact bt direct
as of friday 3.30 ish i have had no phone but look'sw like could be 100's more in my area from waht iv read on fb ect now iv tried calling and got call centre saying thet system is down call back later i asked to be tranfred to eng but no help they just say call back so hung up tired difrent number but got call centre agine saying same thing so this realy is bad for bt call centre should ofer more hel;p than call back in 2 hours plus
im trying to find out what problem is and how many and how long as wher i live ther a few old pes with the emegency pendant that work over phone system so not good for them me and a fe wother have house larms that are monitored over phone line so not good for us let alone school has no phone or local shop the best i have i may be wen other have been told thur if lucy by other supplier thios is not even listed on service stas page even live chat was out tonight
this is in the ss17 corigham stanford le hope exchange aresI also live in Corringham and have also the problems you describe, my wife has the pendants as well, which same as you troubled me in case she was not able to call for help should it be needed by either of us.
I used the BT fault service to report the fault, I have also asked the Mods (NeilO) dealing for some help.
We now have what may be a temporary repair which is being monitored by NeilO and the line working, NeilO has promised to check again tomorrow with a view, hopefully, to inform me a complete repair has been made,
As you np doubt has seen the work being done in this area of gas pipes being replaced, it seems that they are responsible for the break in the cabling, affecting a lot of people.
I cannot fault BT or the mods for the help I have been given.
I have also completed a Priority report form, which helps if it is a simple problem in the future, major problems such as those in our area, will take longer.

What is the simplest and cheapest way to monitor a phone conversation? We don't need to record live audio, but would like a supervisor to have the ability to listen to a conversation between and employee and a customer/client.
The version of IPCC you get with Callmanager is Standard. That will not support Bargein, Intercept, Silent monitor etc. YOu will need to ugprade the 5 seats to enhanced and install that either coresident or on a separate server. The upgrade costs wont be that high, unlike buying a new server/software etc.
Also remember that you cannot monitor every persons phone call. Supervisors can monitor only agent phones. If you are looking for a all user monitor solution, you better be looking at third party solutions. Also with IPCC you have to use the software to monitor and listen to it on the PC speaker. You cannot listen to it via phone.

Silent monitoring calls with CUCM 6.0 and UCCX 5.0
Dear all,
We have just integrated a 3rd party recording solution in our VoIP system, which consists of CUCM 6.0 and UCCX 5.0.
Until now we used the recording and monitoring solution of the UCCX for the agents. This worked ok.
But, as we wanted to record other people's calls and also the outgoing calls of the agents, we have created for them a Recording profile in the CCM and assign it to the agents phone.
We have also mantained the recording and monitoring active for them in the UCCX.
What is happenning now is the following:
- The 3rd party recordings works perfectly.
- The recording in the UCCX gets only one way audio.
- The silent monitoring gets only one way audio.
- If the 3rd party recording server is stopped, but the recording profile is stil active in the phones, the silent monitoring in the UCCX works.
Could any of you confirm if using a 3rd party recording solution the monitoring still works?
Is there any 3rd party silent monitoring software?
Thanks in advcance.

Remote monitor of in progress calls
Is it possible for a manager to be able to listen in or view a call that is currently in progress? If so would you be able to tell me how to do this?
I am trying to figure this out as well. I am trying to deploy a remote call center using skype however I need to be able to monitor outgoing phone calls. Is there any way to do this using Skype? I have tried 8x8, they are affordable however it seems that the call quality on skype is more consistant and reliable with call center emplloyees working overseas.
