Monitoring IPC in CRM 4
Hi ,
I need to monitor IPC which has been installed in a separate UNIX server.As pe SAP documentation .Only installing CCMS agent is available option.
But currently there is no monitoring facility available for IPC installed in UNIX host.SAP document says that CCMS agent has to be installed in windows machine and that should call / monitor the IPC in UNIX server.
They have also mentioned the window user should have auth to check IPC in unx machine.
I donot know how to get this setup.i have installed CCMS agent SAPCCMSR in windows machine but unable to monitor IPC at unix host
any help will be highly appreciated

Yes..both are mandatory components for Internet Sales. Refer to the Master Guide for CRM.
IPC is required for pricing and TREX is required for searching products.

Question about IPC for CRM 5.0
Hi ,
I have a question about CRM 5.0 with relation to the IPC .
As we know the IPC will be available internally from CRM 5.0 , but we would like to know if the internal IPC will be distributed with different applications or will it be one IPC for all the different applications .

IPC have Sales Pricing Engine, Pricing Configuration engine and TTE which helps to maintain the similar R3 pricing settings. As you are aware pricing in R3 is determined by Sales area, Cupp, DPP, so IPC is capable of determining the Pricing using same R3 standard procedure. T
This is not available in CRM, so CRM needs IPC to undertake the determine pricing/ calculate the pricing of the products.

Hi, I have a CRM 4.0 system, when I try to create a SLA service contract, I get an error "No connection could be made to IPC", I guess this is normal because I didn't install an IPC server, my question is
Is possible to disable the IPC on the CRM ?
Or the IPC must be installed ?

Hi Friends,
Currently we are on CRM 5.0, and here we use IPC which sits on the Java Stack. Now we are planning to upgrade to CRM 7.0 which has IPC as part of ABAP stack.
What happens to the IPC related data on CRM 5.0 which is on Java Stack when we move to CRM 7.0 ABAP Stack. How do we move this to the upgraded version.

Hi All,
We have installed CRM 5.0 on Windows and SQL server.
I understand IPC now works on SAP`s VMC.
I have configured the IPC as per the installation guide.
When I start the IPC from IE.
The error message I get is:
"start page disabled"
Please advice and help accordingly.

Do we need IPC in CRM B2B Webshop for creation of ERP Sales order

can you pls guide in following scenario in CRM 7.0
We are using CRM B2B WEBSHOP, We are creating ERP SALES ORDER .
We have requirement to display price break up like base price, different discounts, taxes, freights while creation of Sales order on the webshop.
I would like to understand,
1) whether we need IPC to show price breakup in SALES ORDER in CRM WEBSHOP.
2) if yes, do we need enhancement at IPC to display complex discount types on webshop ?
3) do we need to download entire pricing ( customizing +condition records ) from backend ECC to CRM.
If anybody has worked on similer scenario ,requesting to help.
Any points , documents ,step by step guide will be highly appreciated.

Hi All,
Our company have finished CRM portal and this week we will doing a stress test by using portal system at a time with lot of user. How to monitoring users that have been logged into portal in one day?Not only the total number of user but also all user ID.
I have try to monitoring from 'System Administration->Monitoring->Activity Reports' but it only show total number of user and the most active users (10) in last 3 hours. Any helpful answer will be rewarded. Thank You.

IPC on CRM 5.0, SAP_AP 700
Hi All,
I have an installation of CRM 5.0 with SAP_AP 700 and have successfully enabled the VMC. I will need IPC because we are building an e-selling scenario. But I have not found a guide for this version of IPC (which has now been integrated). So my question is how do I configure the IPC in this version? Do I still need to create the RFC connections in CRM? How do I access it? If somebody could give me a light on this or point me to a guide for IPC on SAP_AP 700, I would appreciate!

Carina MaeiroHaving worked with both IPC 4.0 and 5.0, I will say that the newly integrated IPC is much nicer. No longer do you need to install any local software(besides eclipse for user-exits) and debugging is easier.
I agree with Andrew's post, simply find the OSS notes for IPC. They include a nice PDF which explains doing user-exits. I met the developer in germany who wrote it, he did a nice job. -
Activating IPC in CRM 5.0

We have just finished installing CRM 5.0. As per my understanding IPC is part of CRM 5.0. Now I want to activate it so that I can use it in my applications for pricing, configuration & taxation.
Please tells me the steps required to be performed to make it work fully. Also right now my CRM system does not have any data. How to verify that, now IPC is running properly or not.

Now how will I come to know that SPE is working fine, since I haven't downloaded condition records into system.
Also when I look at middleware parameters, there are some parameters that need to be defined to run SCE. Also in basic settings in SPRO, we have to define RFC for dispatcher & SCE. Now as per notes no RFC needs to be defined for the same.
so shall I leave them as it is, & how to varify that SCE is also running fine, since again I haven't downloaded products from ECC.

Hi,
transfered some configurable products from R/3 to 5.0.
When I select the model in COMMPR01 and try start the simulation i only get a http error. Also get an error about missing configuration when I create an sales document.
The settings in COMM_IPC_URL should be correct. Did I need the J2EE Server or the IPC Web Applications for the simulation? Is there documentation for CRM 5.0 about the WebApps available? Only found something for 4.0.

IPC in CRM 7.0: New customer field in item communication structure
Hi Experts,
I tried to enhance the IPC according to the known manual.
I created a new item related z-field in the item communication structure which I fill in the BadI IF_EX_CRM_COND_COM_BADI with a Char(1) value:
IF cs_acs_i_com-zfield IS INITIAL.
LOOP AT ls_prc_agrmnts_wrk-price_agreements_crm ASSIGNING <price>.
CASE <price>-kschl.
WHEN 'ZFRE'.
cs_acs_i_com-zfield = 'B'.
I also did the customizing for that new formula which is a requirement. There I added two attributes to the implementation:
-ITEM_GUID Item GUID
-ZFIELD Z-Field
and also two attributes to the formula:
-ITEM_GUID CRM_ITEM_GUID
-ZFIELD ZFIELD
I use this requirement in my pricing procedure and uploaded the jar file. My java code looks as follows:

In SM53 i can see the logs, but the problem is that obviously only the standard field ITEM_GUID is available in the Java. Means, that for my z-field I never get a value although the BadI is called an the value is written to the communication structure.
Does anybody has an idea, why I do not get the value of that zfield in my java code?

I have customised complete pricing procedure but in the Quotation order we are not getting NET VALUE.
When i come accrossed with BBP_CHECK_CND_CUST In my findings i found parameter IPC_ON is missing.
I am waiting for the reply from BASIS.
Is there any functional customisation required for IPC let me know.

Variant Configuration / IPC in CRM 7.0
Hi experts,
We are getting runtime errors when we access the Configuration tab in CRM transaction CRMD_ORDER for a configurable product. These errors do not occur when we simulate the model in COMMPR01 for the same product. Any ideas? Here are a couple of things to note:
- The runtime errors occur in the Configuration page itself and does not provide any more information; i.e. we only receive a page with the lines saying "Runtime Errors", "Contact the Administrator", and "Log In". The Log In link does not work and there is nothing in ST22.
- Simulating the model in the product master consistently works.
- When using CRMD_ORDER, the configuration has worked on rare occasions but will timeout rather quickly; i.e. after a characteristic is changed it might give the message to log in again.
- Custom versions of both CRMORDERMAINTAIN and CRMPRODUCTSIMULATION are maintained in COMM_IPC_PROP, and the URL is correct in COMM_IPC_URL.
- The product was replicated from ECC as a knowledge base via object SCE.

Are you using a secured port?
Try making the SSL enabled setting in the XCM as "FALSE", you can find this under the General Application Setting of the XCM,
let me know if it works.
Restart the java and application once the change is done.

In CRM 4.0, to view analysis on Pricing tab we need to set parameter in COMM_IPC_URL table.
UI_ANALYSIS --> http://<J2EE_server>:<port>/pricing
In CRM 5.0 above setting is still valid?? from where can I get <J2EE_server>:<port>
