Monitoring non-captured .fcp on TV

I have a FCE 3.5 project comprised of .mov and .aif tracks. I want to monitor the quality of my audio and video on a TV before submitting to the cable TV station for broadcast.
Can I use my camcorder as a tape deck -- via the A/V output -- to play the file directly from FCE to the TV, like I would if the media was captured from DV tape? Or, since nothing was captured from tape, do I have to burn the exported .mov file to DVD to monitor on TV via the DVD player?

The simplest way to go is to plug your TV monitor via your video out analog (on camcorder A/V port) and your cam on firewire, turn it on and launching FCE HD, Select Apple firewire in play view->video out menu.
You should see your sequence on TV set. See FCE HD 3.5 user manual (in help menu) from page 161 to get more details.
Some camcorder models need to be configured (in their VCR menu) to output the signal to TV.

Sound but no video on tv monitor when capturing/viewing timeline

Can someone please suggest a solution to my problem? It seems that my settings have all of a sudden changed and I can no longer view the video on my tv monitor when capturing or when playing the clips in my timeline. I've already checked to see that I'm using "firewire" settings.
Any ideas what the settings should be?

I'm gonna jump in here as I'm in the same boat....
I'm having trouble connecting my camera as a d to a converter for monitoring.
Firewire out from computer to DV Camera / camera analog rca out to monitor. Camera shows input from lens on monitor. FCP is set to - video playback>firewire>ntsc. External video> all frames.
What do I need to do to allow throughput from FCP - camera - monitor?

How can I turn OFF audio monitoring during capture from tape?

FCP has a very useful check box that allows you to turn off audio monitoring during capture, so you can listen to other things whilst the batch captures. Is there any way to do this in PP? If not, how can I make a feature request?
I'm using PP CS6.

The only other solution I can offer is to go to "edit" "preferences" then select "playback". Under playback set the default audio device to your capturing device instead of the adobe desktop audio. This will allow you capture but not have to listen to whats being captured. However once it's done capturing you'll have to set it back to adobe desktop audio otherwise you can't hear what you're editing in your timeline.
Other than that I'm out of ideas sorry.

Multibridge Pro no audio monitoring during capture

I cannot get audio monitoring during capture, from betacam (component) or dv, I tried everything I can think of, does anybody else is running to the same problem?
(running mac pro, plenty of ram, Os version 10.5.2, decklink software 6.6.2, FCP 6.0.2)

I tried to reboot the multibridge many but to no avail. Regarding the monitoring, I do not really care about monitoring the upload, but I want to be able to log the clip via final cut, and it should work, however it does not.
Also I wanted to know if users of the multibridge have issues with the video levels? I just switch from a HD Decklink card and the difference in level is not right, the multibridge is much to bright. Any suggestions?

Monitor Non-Paged Pool Usage SCOM 2012 R2

Has anyone figured out an effective method of monitoring non-paged memory pools.
My hope is to build a monitor that can determine max pool size and alert when non-paged pool usage is >= 90% of that maximum.
I've done some research on the subject, with the most relevant TechNet article being http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2009/03/26/3211216.aspx.
Any help would be appreciated.

As we know, there is a performance counter for non-paged memory:
\memory\pool nonpaged bytes:
Low on Pool NonPaged memory
- less than 40% available (If the systems exceeds more that 60% of the Pool Non-paged bytes memory pool, then consider removing the /3GB switch or consider migrating to a 64-bit system.
Critically low on Pool NonPaged memory – less than 20% available (If the system exceeds 80% of the Pool Non-paged bytes memory pool. If so, consider removing the /3GB switch or consider migrating to a 64-bit system.

Scom monitoring non domain computers

hello experts
i have scom 2012 and want to monitor non domain computers (servers in dmz)
i have created new template in ca server then create new certificates for dmz server and scom rms server.
now i have connection between two servers but there is an authentication error.

When capturing FCP makes new clips

When I am capturing from a tape, FCP creates a new clip every time I pressed stop and then start again on the camera to change my shot. There are no time code breaks in the tape but I don't know how FCP is creating a new clip every time I change my angles.
Please help.

My crystal ball says you shot HDV ... and this is how FCP works with HDV capture, because thats how your camera works. The problem is that every time you start/stop recording in camera you are creating a new and separate clip that is stored on tape, even though the timecode is contiguous the clips are separate MPEG2 data structure entities. During HDV capture FCP is just copying the MPEG2 data structures stored on tape onto your hard disc (and wrapping that data up as a Quicktime Movie in the process) and every time the it encounters a new clip in the data stream then thats what is created on your hard disc.
If you do not want this to happen then you can use an I/O device to facilitate capturing your footage from your camera via a video output instead of via firewire. Matrox make very affordable I/O hardware with some great features ... check out the MXO2 Mini. Blackmagic's Intensity card may not be as feature rich but offers superb value for money if you are working on a desktop system only.

Reg Exp and non capturing groups

I got problems with the non capturing groups in java.
I want to extract the 2nd ocurenc of a given patern from a string.
This ist the string =" 12.12.2004 [Logging] [Success] ### More text [Perhaps more brackets here] some text"
Now I want to extract the 2nd occurecy of the brackets with an unknow text pattern.
I tried this pattern = "(?:\[\w+\] )\[w+\]"
I thought that the non-capturing pattern helps me to find the first pair of [] brackets. the capturing group should give me want i want.
But I still get the result: [Logging] [Success]"
Even if I try just to use only the non cpaturing patern "(?:\[\w+\])" I still get an output from Matcher.group() which I didnt expect here!
What I am doing wrong?

I dont know what I am doing wrong.
I thought I could solve it with the non-capturing group, but they doesnt seem to work.
My question to the non-capturing group is:
I have this pattern [code]"(?:.*)".
This pattern will probably match the String "Hello Mary!"
But it should not capture the string.
So matcher.find() is true, but matcher.group() is the whole string and nit null, like I expected.

You might try posting in the FCE forum, very few Express users here in the Final Cut Pro forum.
In FCP, the function—and limitations—is clearly explained in the manual. I hope Apple's FCE manual and online help system are as thorough.

Monitor and capture at the same time?

Is it possible to view/monitor a video (live from a quickcam) and capture at the same time?
I looked at the solution here:

And found "Video Capture Utility with Monitoring" sample program. However it only allows capture! There is no live display of video viewing while the capture is happening.

Actually, the sample program works once I uncheck Audio.
I do not have any Audio input device, so I guess that is causing the problem.

2nd Monitor Screen Capture

I have been using Captivate 8 for a few weeks. The first week, everything worked perfectly! Loved it. Then, for some reason, it quit recognizing my 2nd screen. It would no longer capture anything from there. I have to more everything over to my #1 screen for it work, which it does well and I can get what I need. The settings remain the same from screen 1 to screen 2, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas?
A colleague is having the same problem, by the way. We are going to be doing A LOT of recording, it would be great if we could use multiple screens.

I am experiencing the same issue -- except that I am a new user of Captivate 8 and from the first day I used the application, I was unable to record anything on a screen other than my primary screen. At first, I thought it wasn't recording at all, but via research in the forum, I noticed that multiple monitors seemed to be an issue, and I tested. Only the primary monitor will record.
I have a laptop with a docking station, and 2 other monitors. One of the monitors is designated at the primary screen.
Here's what happens... I set up the recording and drag the red box to my second monitor, which has the application I want to record. I click around, and nothing happens. When I click back on the Captivate icon (on the primary screen), a single screen shot is taken - FROM THE SECOND MONITOR - and recorded into the Captivate module.
So, it isn't as though it can't find the monitor. It isn't recognizing any clicks on the screen. I am able to take screen shots manually, but that's a pain during a software simulation. Too easy to forget a step!

External Monitor problem with FCP 7.0.3

I recently updated FCP to 7.0.3 and I started having problems viewing the image on my 46" Samsung LCD TV. First off I have a MacPro(OSX 10.7.4) with a
ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512 MB card. I have a DVI to HDMI cable plugged from the MacPro to the Samsung TV. The issues I have are when I playback the timeline I get a frozen image or no image. I have already made sure I had ALL FRAMES selected and have refreshed all monitors to no solution. This was all working perfectly until I updated FCP last week. Any solutions??? Can I use a HTTP monitor to capture PDF submit

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone out there has ever used a HTTP monitor or a embedded web server to capture the submit data without using an external web server. The idea is to embed the HTTP Monitor into my app. The PDF file will be viewed within my app using either the PDF activex control or using the OpenInWindowEx function (Havent decided yet). When the user clicks the Submit button. I'd like the app to capture the data from the HTTP submit. Thanks for any suggestions.
