Monitoring of availability of SAP transactions

Hello!
We would like to monitor whether or not the end users can access to specific transactios (e.g. within FI, CO or MM area).
So when the users cannot access these transactions codes a automatic notification (e.g. mail, sms) should be generated.
We already implemented CCMSPING agent, but this approach does not fulfill our requirements.
SAP Solution Manager 7.1 implements several approaches for the availability of transactions.
Has some one experience with the monitoring of SAP transactions and which of the following methods can be recommended?
1) Entry in the table ALTRAMONI on the managed system/CCMS
2) Business Process Monitoring
3) End User Experience Monitoring
Any helpful information will be very appreciated!

Hello
1)Yes. You need to. Actually many solution mananger scenario start using the SMD agent.
So you can consider installing the agent to your managed system is more or less "must to do activity for the solman itself".
It is not only for the RCA function any more. Others like EEM, BPMon <analytics>, DVM Cockpit, others also require it.
Because different applications use extractor framework.
2)EEM. First you need to record the script. GUI operation or browser based operation. (Both supported)
Then upload the script and deploy it to the some mashine (PC) near to your frontend.
Then the mashine execute script regulary (called robot).
So in your local pc (where you execute the script) regulary), you also need to install agent to execute script regulary.
Just normal PC is ok for htis purpose.
Last question. I am not sure... Hope other people can answer.
best regards

    Hi,
you can find Web Services (Enterprise Services) in the Enterprise Services Workplace (ES Workplace). The ES Workplace allows you to explore, test, and use enterprise services to make enterprise SOA tangible. Here, you will find all of the currently productized enterprise services by SAP.

  • How mobile device ( rfid/barcode reader) communicates with SAP transaction.

    Dear Friends !
Good morning, How are you ?
I want to understand that in ITSmobile How Mobile device ( RFID Reader ot Barcode scanner/reader) to fetch the data and supply the ITS screen.
I believe every mobile device has some .dll file or something in that we have some methods if we call it say in .net or java application we can read the rfid or barcode and from the returning paramter of the .dll method we can get information what we want ( if i m not wrong).
now the question is if I have some barcode /rfid number which is assigned to sap material number. if on mobile device I run mm02 transaction code n trigger the gun can I get the material number in material number field . ( assume I have program which can fetch the material number from barcode/rfid number.) ? but to pass rfid number / barcode what should I do. I can write javascript and call that method but dont know weather I can use javascript or not in that.
    to be simple:
How can I get barcode / rfid number to my sap transaction. if possible
please give me any suggestion. document link... help.... whatever may help me to understand this. I will greatly appreciate your reply
    Thanking you
    Regards
    Naeem

    Hi Ajay,
Please refer to note 1057759 for the delivered Drivers for Peripherals in SAP DOE. This lists all the supported barcode scanners for SAP Netweaver Mobile. Those derivers are certified after testing to work only with that device and OS configuration.
The Javadoc to get an idea about how to use those PIOS API for barcode scanner
    http://help.sap.com/javadocs/nwmobile/SP3/laptops/com/sap/ip/me/api/pios/scanner/ScannerConnection.html
As input from Barcode scan have to be taken in Wedge Mode, there is no need to do any developments in MI JSP Application. To enable barcode scan one can download barcode scan tools available from Handheld Vendor sites

  • Is there any table or report that available in SAP for any PR/STR

    HI All,
Is there any table or report that available in SAP for any PR/STR that are remain opened after S/O canceled.
    Please advice at the earliest.
    Thanks
    Chandru

    Chandru,
Of course.  The standard MD06 transaction will display ALL MRP generated exception messages, and will take you to the individual material to allow you to determine how you wish to respond to it.
So, MD06>enter the plant.  Optionally, enter the controller if you wish to limit the results by planner.
If you are interested in Sales order cancellations, then these exceptions would be categorized by SAP as belonging to the  "exceptions during Scheduling" or "exceptions during availability" groups.  On the Exceptions group tab, select these two items (6&7), deselect the rest. Enter.
You are now presented with a list of all materials that contain one or more of these exceptions.  From the menu bar at the top, select Edit>Find.  If you get a 'statistics' popup, click through.  Select the 'Find Exceptions' tab.
Message 26 "excess stock in individual segment" means that in a MTO environment, you have more supply than demand against given order/items (as you would have if a cust. cancelled his MTO order).  Select this message.
Message 20 "Cancel Process" means that you have a supply element that has NO requirements (as you would have if a cust. cancelled his MTS order).  Select this messaege.
Message 15 " Postpone process" means that you have supply elements that are scheduled to be received earlier that necessary (as you might have if a Cust cancelled his MTS order). Optionally select this message.
Clik the green check.  You will now notice that certain rows on the listing are highlighted.  These are the ones that contain your problem children.  Hit the "glasses selected MRP list" button.
This takes you to the first MD05 of the highlighted items.  Review the problem.  Decide what to do:  Cancel a supply element?  Push out a supply element? Leave it alone?  Call customer service to discuss which order was cancelled and why?  etc etc etc...
Once you are done with the first material, clik on the 'next material' icon or hit Ctrl-F2.  Repeat.  Continue till all materials have been evaluated and resolved.
This works for any other MRP message as well.

    hello all,
Does anyone know the programs/transactions for VAT reports which are available in SAP for country Canada and Puerto Rico?????

  • Service to call a SAP Transaction from cProjects

    Hi,
After accounting Integartion, I wanted to call some transaction already in "Service for an SAP Transaction" node.
There I need to define the Parameters and Services to make it available thru Portal.
But seems I'm not able to provide the exact Parameters for the service.
Also, When I enter the Parameters for the WEB server of an SAP Transaction, for Alias WEB Server, its throwing an error to check entry in OLR3_URL_SRV.
    Many Thanks,
    Jyoti Shankar

    Hi Vivek,
I've checked the URL. The SAP Transactions can be called online thru SICF WEBGUI Test. But from Portal, when I'm doing the same, the URL gets changed and system generates the string "scripts/wgate/webgui/!?" in the start URL.
The reason stated is Web Server Address does not contain the Service "WEBGUI".
How can I resolve the same ? Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Jyoti

  • Web service available in SAP Solution Manager

    Hi,
Which are the Webservices available in SAP Solution Manager.
I want to Integrate HP Openview change request process with SAP Solution Manager ChaRM.
    Regards
    PK
Edited by: PK on Aug 9, 2010 3:37 PM

Although the path vary between release - webservices for Solution Manager are usually available in transaction SICF
    under the following path
                     /default_host/sap/bc/solman
                     /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/solutionmanager
However I am not aware of an webservice/interface from CHARM to 3rd party service desk products
What is provided as of Solman 7 is an interface between SAP Service Desk and other 3rd party service desk products
    - so if you setup Solution Manager Service Desk you can have a business process from
Openview ---> SAP Service Desk ---> SAP Charm
    Best wishes

The problem here is the work item is opening the sap logon when an work item is being clicked and the screen also is not exactly what we look in sbwp. it is having a different look. the screen is becomming small where the user has to use scroll bars to navigate to particular input element, but in sbwp it is showing the full screen.
Please help on this is there any way to solve this problem.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Let us know whether you are using the standard Leave request application with standard workflow or customized screen.
If you are using Custom development for the approval screen, then Make sure that you have mapped your custom development screen to the workflow task in SWFVISU.
Then Re-register the UWL system in portal which is available in the below location.
System administration - system configuration - universal worklist and workflow u2013 universal worklist administration - Universal worklist systems - re-register the workflow system.

When I try with SAP GUI for Windows, I get "<b>Connection to partner broken</b>" error.
I am also not able to get the desired result with SAP GUI for Java.
Can anyone please throw some light on this?

    Hi Suprita,
If i am not mistaken, Integrated ITS will coem with BASIS 6.40.
If you basis version is 6.40 then ITS will be avialable in R/3 system.
Check the Integrated ITS is enable and the necessary settings have been done in transaction SICF, The ITS will come as a service, and also enable all the services in SICF transaction.
Check the Connection test of your Integrated ITS, if it is not available in SICF transaction then you may need to install the ITS seperately. The error you are getting is because, may be the ITS parameters are wrong.
    Hope this helps.
