Monitoring Phones

Is there any third party software or Call Manager 4.1 can do some basic phone monitoring/recording. Customer doesn't have IPCC, but would like to monitor and record calls when IP Phone users are talking to customers.

Yes, TelRex www.telrex.com has a product called CallRex which is really good.

  • Can midlets monitor phone calls?

    Hi all,
I guess I have a few related question about this subject, but first a little background. I would like if possible to make a midlet to block certain phonecalls from being made, kinda like a blacklist. A such:
    1) Is it possible to have a midlet running in the background (no user interface once activated) listening for events, and depending on the event either popping up or remaining in the background?
    2) Is it possible for these events to be incoming/outgoing phonecalls? From what I understand, on an incoming phonecall the midlet will receive a pauseApp() implying incoming call, and stopping it. But will the midlet still receive the pauseApp if it is already in the background? And is an incoming call the only reason to get a pauseApp()?
    3) Finally.... I read that by using the platformRequest API you can actually make outgoing calls via the midlets, but as I said in the app I would like to build I actually need to block outgoing calls. Is this at all possible?
If I cannot do the above with MIDP, does anyone know any alternate technology I could use instead? Do I have to program directly in the OS itself, and is this even possible?
Thanks in advace for anything you can help me with.
    Kind Regards,

My network carrier first confirmed that everything was fine at their end and that it was the handset issue (I never believe them anyway).
But afterwards it was confirmed that it was indeed an issue with the network operator and that they had fixed the issue...

  • Unity Message Monitoring No Audio For Remote Site IP Phones

I have Unity Message Monitoring running on a Unity 7.0 server and it works fine with IP Phones located at the same site via G.711. It also works fine with Remote Message Monitoring phones (Cell Phones configured via Message Notification Device Phone 6). But it does not work with IP Phones at remote sites via G.729. The Unity server is configured to support G.711 and G.729 and I'm not sure if my problem has anything to do with Codecs. The reason being is because the Remote Message Monitoring to cell phones is working fine and we send in all external calls from the PSTN to Unity as G.729 via our SIP Trunk and the Remote Message Monitoring media stream going out to the cell phone is G.729 with no Transcoding resource being used.
Is anyone else having problems with Message Monitoring to IP Phones at remote sites that normally use G.729 for WAN based calls? If not, do you have your Unity setup to run G.711 and G.729 or do you have it set to G.711 only and use a MRGL with a Transcoding resource?
    Thank You,
    Mike Shelley

    Hi.
This is a normal behaviour, because RTP between endpoints is end to end and IP phone of remote user A should be able to reach ip phone user B directly.
This means that you should have two options:
    - VPN from user A to HQ should include User B subnet in SA association and vice versa.
    - A direct VPN between user A and user B

  • Tapi Monitor Cisco Mobile 8.0

    Hi,
One question regarding of Cisco Mobile 8.0 (on iPhone) monitoring.
We have a Nice integration (passive record) to perform call record with CUCM 8.0.
Nice is using Tapi to monitor all the phones. We'd like to record also Mobile Phone.
Unfortunately Cisco Mobile 8.0 (TCTXXXXXXX) is not recognized as a TAPI monitored phone.
I did the association between the application user and the TCT Device and then I launch TapiMonitor.exe to check if the device is under control, this one is not present in the list.
    Somebody know why  ?
How is possible then to record calls made from this kind of Device ?
    Thanks
    Fabian

You enter the port number against the 'LDAP Server' field of each TCT device you create per iPhone. The admin guide says:
For the LDAP server, enter the hostname or IP address and port of your
Active Directory server. Global catalog must be enabled, so use port
3269 for secure (SSL) connections and 3268 for nonsecure connections.
    Use the format YourDirectoryServer.YourCompany.com:portnumber.
By default, if you enter no port or SSL settings, Cisco Mobile attempts an SSL connection to port 3269.

  • How I rooted my Arc S and removed apps I don't need

WARNING: Here be dragons.  I don't work for SE but was surprised that my Arc S came with some apps that you cannot remove without rooting your device.  Seeing as internal memory space is already a bit limited I decided to root so I could run the wonderful Titanium Backup app and remove the stuff I had no interest in.  I'm posting this in case others wish to do the same but I accept no liability if you remove something important and your phone crashes or won't boot.  If you do screw it up then you should be able to use the PC Companion tool to restore the stock image.
FWIW I have an Xperia Arc S running the .42 firmware image.
Root your phone using the Xperia 2011 Easy Rooting Toolkit v3.0 (zergRush Exploit).  Full details can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350  It's very easy and happens so quickly you'll wonder if it did anything at all.
After restarting your device you can check it's rooted by seeing if you now have Superuser and Terminal Emulator apps in your app drawer.
Next download Titanium Backup from the Market.  There is a free version available.
Fire up Titanium Backup and tap the Backup/Restore button at the top of the screen.  You will be greeted with a long list of apps.  To remove an app simply tap it and choose Un-install but I urge you to use the Backup option first to back it up to your SD card!.  Here is the list of apps that I removed from my phone:
Adobe Flash (I don't bother with web sites that require Flash)
Adobe Reader (reading PDFs on my device isn't something I do)
Anonymous Usage Stats (I don't need to send stuff to SE)
    Chinese Keyboard (I'm not Chinese)
Crash Monitor (phone is fine without it)
Data Monitor (I use a separate O2 UK app for monitoring data)
devicemonitor (phone is fine without it)
    Email (I use gmail exclusively)
FOTA Kill (sounds like something the CIA want on your phone *cough*)
Friends games & applications (I'd really rather not know)
Friends music & videos (ack, a friend of mine posts a 100 YouTube videos on FaceBook a day - drives me nuts)
    FUN&downloads (if you say so!)
Home screen tips (a widget that gives you Android tips)
    Lets Golf (no, let's not)
    Magic Smoke Wallpapers (goodbye battery)
    Music Visualization Wallpapers (goodbye battery)
OfficeSuite (I use Google Docs instead)
POBox Touch (something to do with the Japanese keyboard)
QC SEMC Service (some quality control app?  Removing it hasn't done any harm)
R2R Client (Ready To Run - not sure what it is but phone is fine without it)
Retail Demo (I don't work in a phone shop)
    Sakura (Chinese keyboard skin)
SecureClockService (this might be DRM related - which I avoid like the plague - and removing it has done me no harm)
Setup guide (I'm cool with not having this)
SIM Toolkit (I don't even have an icon for this anyway)
Sony Ericsson Sync (deprecated by Sony anyway)
Sony Ericsson Sync client wizard (ditto)
    Street View (never use it)
    Support (I use this forum!)
Talk (I hate Google Talk as it can drain your battery if you don't disable it)
    TrackID (I use Shazam)
Update center (removing this will disable OTA updates but I use PC Companion for updates)
    Wisepilot (I use Google Maps)
    Woody (Chinese Keyboard skin)
    Xperia Hot Shots (No thanks)
Your mileage may vary but I went from 320MB or storage to 420MB.  Any my device feels snappier and I bet my battery life is better without running extra services.
There is a more comprehensive list to be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089470
Exercise caution and if you're not sure then you can use the Freeze option in Titanium Backup to stop the app from running without deleting it.
REMEMBER TO BACK THESE APPS UP BEFORE YOU USE THE UN-INSTALL OPTION!

    Hello
I rooted my Sony Ericsson Arc S by following your excellent and easy to understand instuctions in order to remove some of the unwanted crap that came preloaded on the phone and in order to install the rooted version of Avast antivirus/antitheft app.
Everything has worked perfectly well for the last few months since doing this however now I am unable to update the phone via the sony ericsson update service.
    Please advise
    Cheers

  • How to stop an iPhone from being hacked

Can an iPhone be hacked through your iCloud account or email account (meaning your Apple ID). I have found disturbing things on the internet to monitor phones such as auto-forward.com. For about $70 you can monitor everything on a smart phone. Of course they're disclaimer is that being a parent, you want to make sure what your kids are up to and it says "not to be used for illegal purposes". But I am an adult and someone is monitoring me. My Apple ID password only works when this person wants it to work. My email and texts disappear.
HOW DO I STOP THIS??  I have already traded my phone in changed apple IDs, the techs at the apple store found strange software diagnostics.
Law enforcement is not very tech savvy. Can data forensics trace the person doing this? About $2000, but worth it to catch the stalker.

Your Apple ID can be compromised. That would allow a miscreant to buy things using your account, access your iCloud information and potentially wipe the phone remotely. If your concerned about that, make sure that you use a complex password and 2 step verification. Make sure your recovery email account is also secure.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570
You should also put a password on your phone to prevent people from gaining physical access to it.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. In order to use such software on an iPhone, someone would need to have access to your phone in order to jailbreak it. If you restore the phone as new and follow the advice above, no one will be monitoring your phone (except possibly the government and they are not going to be deleting your texts and emails).
    Best of luck.

  • Agent state after change

I've got a custom-written wallboard to monitor agents and traffic real-time. When I change a competance level or remove a skill, the agent's records are no longer available in the AgentStateDetail table. Because of this, the agent's status is unknown until there is a change (a new entry in AgentStateDetail is created). Is there a way around this?

I can't speak about the database, but if you're using a http trigger with a script behind to get agent states, you should always get the appropriate information. Our own agent state display uses that approach and it works quite well (we coupled it with a jtapi based app that monitors phone states and requests the agent state when the phone state changes)

  • SPA500S Attendant Console BLF and Broadsoft NOT working on firmware 7.4.6

Like many of us, for many years now, have continous problems with the Cisco SPA500S Attendant Console. In my case, I'm running my phones with 7.4.6 because it is the version of the Cisco SPA504/508G phone firmware that is certified to work on our current version of Broadsoft's Hosted PBX.
The phones work very well indeed, but the attendant console lights up after a re-boot of the BLF phone is performed, however, the actual SPA500S unit doesn't perform onitoring at all.
I've read every blog/discussino on this matter and it is becoming a nuisance at this point. I dont understand why it takes so much trouble to configure something so easy and what a stark difference there seems to be when you upgrade SPA50XG phones on the firmware from one firmware release to the next one.
I'm looking for anyone that has had this issue that can help me configure the Cisco SPA508G phone that servers as the monitoring phone with a single SPA500S Attendant Console unit to monitor 4 extensions.
    Jose A.

We just installed an new system with the SPA508g phones and the SPA 500s Side Car and are having the same monitoring issues. We have notified our support and they have been tweeking our system quite a  bit. If this is a known issue why is CISCO not resolving it. Does CISCO monitor these forums?

  • Parental controls/browser history tracking

Hi there.  I have just got a Curve 9320 for my 'tweenage' son and obviously wanted to set up some parental controls.  However, it appears that the only setting there is on the phone is to completely block browser access, which somewhat defeats the object of getting him a contract that includes unlimited data....  I have installed an app that can monitor phone usage, including logging websites visited - this works brilliantly on my Android phone but apparently the website tracker function won't work with Blackberrys.  I would love to be able to trust my son not to access any inappropriate sites, but due to a previous misdemeanour that's just not possible at the moment...!  Is there any way of either restricting website access or tracking websites that he has visited (even though he may have already deleted browing history)?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have already set up the controls offered by T Mobile - they do restrict access to 'adult' sites but only via their mobile network - I'm now looking for something that will work while he's connecting to the internet via wifi, which T Mobile don't do.  But thanks again for trying

  • JTapi and Xtapi

    Hi,
If anyone can please help with the following. (Please let me know if the questions are unclear or ignorantly asked).
I have limited experiance with JTAPI, i have a program that monitors phones in our company and this uses Jtapi (with Avaya's Jtapi implementation) to monitor and make phone calls, which is send to a specific terminal (In this case a physical phone at the user's desk).
Now i want to make a phone call, but not send it to a phone, but play it through the users earphone on the pc using MSTAPI.
    Questions:
    1. If a phone call is made using openH323, do you require a modem attached to the PC? (preferably we would not want to connect a modem to each persons pc)
    2. If we can do it without a modem, what is the call actually connected to (What converts the data into voice format).
I will have more questions, but if someone could help me with these 2 first please, then i will be able to have a better idea of how to ask the other questions.
I have searched the web for 3 days straight now without finding a real solution to my problems.
    Thanks in advance.

The problem is that they want an inhouse written one, that way we will be able incorporate it into our database and add functionality that is related to our database and current system. (for example, if a client phones a user, and the user does not answer, we can create a reminder to phone back the number if we got the caller id, to phone the client back as soon as he logs onto our main system, with the client's information. We will also be able to create our own reports on the calls that was made, eg clients that falls under a specific category. if this makes sense.

  • BLF indicator unavailable for this line

    Hello,
My user has 4 BLF lines defined. 3 correctly display the phone icon but the 3rd of 4 shows the graphic which is "BLF indicator unavailable for this line". Can anybody tell me what could cause this ?.
All four numbers are in the same range as the user.
All four numbers are in the same partition as the user.
All four numbers are correctly defined.
All four numbers are working for the respective owners.
All are fully qualified E.164 numbers.
    Many thanks
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,
My guess would be that you don't have the Subscribe CSS properly configured. Can you check that ?
You need to put a CSS that includes the partition of the monitored phone. Or you can compare with the other lines that are already working
