Monitoring Site (URL) changes

Can anyone point me in the direction of some sample code that we could use with our Orale 8i server that would allow us to monitor changes to websites? All I need to know is whether or not a site has CHANGED - I'm not interested in crawling or spidering.
Thanks in advance,
Calista

I had the same experience just a few minutes ago. My site's been up for months with no problems but I thought, "site" wasn't a very creative name so I typed something else into the title. Won't do that again. BUT...is there anyway to revert back to the original website URL? Now my blog site won't publish at all.

  • Trial Site URL change?

    So when we are doing new sites for clients, we like to let them see the progress a week or two before launch, so they can give us any input they like on the finishing touches. As it is now though, on a trial site, they would see xxxxx.businesscatalyst.com.  Is there a way that we can change that so the client can see their site without seeing we are using business catalyst? It kind of ruins the whole white label functionality if we cannot do this.  Thanks in advance.

    Hi Duke,
    Brad is absolutely correct here.

  • Changing the Site URL of a Sharepoint site changes the content type order

    Description
    Changing the Site URL of a Sharepoint site changes the content type order of all lists that
    * contain folder content types
    * and have a custom content type order
    * where a folder content type is the first content type in order.
    Reproducible behaviour
    1. Create a Team Site in Sharepoint
    2. Create a Task List "Test" on the Team Site
    3. Go to List Settings
    4. The Content Type order is by default
        a. Task
        b. Summary Task
    5. Change the Content Type Order to
        a. Summary Task
        b. Task
    6. Go To Site Settings "Title, description and icon"
    7. Change the Site Url
    8. Go To List "Test" List Settings
    9. The Content Type order now is
        a. Task
        b. Summary Task
    10. Select "Change New button order and default content type"
    11. Here, the Content Type order still is
        a. Summary Task
        b. Task
    Is this a bug? Has anyone noticed this behaviour before?
    Kind Regards,
    Joachim

    Hi Joachim,
    You are not missing something or doing something wrong. i Hope :). This behavior is reproductible.
    The granularity of change is better by Powershell. But by the interface is most user-friendly.
    Maybe that's the reason of this behavior.

  • Changing a site URL.

    I have a production site url.company.com and a staging site urlstaging.company.com.
    I restored the production database to the staging farm.  The site is listed in Central Administration > Application Management > Site Collection List as url.company.com in both production and staging environments instead of the defined managed
    paths.  I checked out IIS bindings in the associate web applications; in production the bindings include url.company.com and in staging the URLs include urlstaging.company.com.
    How do I change the URL of the Site collection to urlstaging.company.com?

    Hi,
    According to your description, An alternative would be to use an Alternate Access Mapping (AAM) if this is a root site collection.  If it isn't, pretty much your best option is that you need to use stsadm or PowerShell to backup, for example:
    stsadm -o backup -url
    http://server/sites/sc1 -overwrite -filename sc1.dat
    stsadm -o deletesite -url
    http://server/sites/sc1
    stsadm -o restore -url
    http://server/sites/sitecollectionone -filename sc1.dat
    Best regards

  • Weather channel URL changes?

    Am I the only one who is seeing the TWC URL change after installing it on the original iPhone's home screen? I've installed my 2 favorite weather channel pages on the home screen so many times. Sometimes they'll work for a day, many times only a few minutes. Anyone else? Oh, yeah, 2.0 firmware.

    I found a discussion about this with some more info.
    http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/general-discussion/weather-channel-blocks-i phone-5278.html
    Someone had emailed the weather channel about this and this is the response they got...
    "Thanks so much for taking the time to write to us. We felt that the load time for weather.com was excessive so we made the decision to force the mobile site and thereby cut our download time in half. We are actively monitoring this, as well as consumer feedback and may make an update to our current strategy soon.
    Thanks for taking the time to let us know how you feel and please send any additional thoughts or comments directly to me."

  • #Site.URL# link in emails

    #Site.URL# link in emails
    Hi - we have a new link for newScale for Request Center and it is https instead of http.  Now when we add a link to an email to the request center, it changes the https link back to the http link which doesn't work.   Anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks  Tylor - that didn't work.  Here's what I'm putting in -
    <A  href="https://our site url"  target="_blank">OnlineServiceCatalog</A>
    and  this is what it changes to - which errs out when user clicks on link in  email.
    <A href="#Site.URL#application.do"  target=_blank>OnlineServiceCatalog</A>
    The  #Site.URL# is standard in newScale and we know that it must live  somewhere in the code, but we can't seem to find it to change it so

  • Site url in preview url

    For preview feature in bcc, i have specified a HomePagePath.properties files which contains the following content
    $class=atg.service.preview.PreviewPath
    defaultPath=/crs/index.jsp
    But instead of this hard-coded url, i would like to add site url to the defaultPath so that it might look like defaultPath=/crs/${site.id}/index.jsp
    My requirement is to preview the home page of that site, on which i am making changes in the Merchandising screen. So if i am selecting homeus
    the url should go to /crs/homeus instead of /crs/index.jsp.

    I have not tried this but I guess you can use RequestParameterRuleFilter for this and pass the pushSite and stickySite query parameters in your preview URL. Check the configuration of /atg/multisite/RequestParameterRuleFilter on your preview server. For details refer this documentation:

  • Cisco CWMS Mail settings admin@ WebEx-site-URL

    A Hi all,
    I am having issues sending out email.
    Taken from CWMS administration guide:
    Step 5
    #If displayed, enter the Username and Password credentials for the system to access your corporate mail server.Emails from the system are sent by admin@<WebEx-site-URL>. Ensure that the mail server can recognize this user.
    Is there anyways to use other username instead of admin?
    Reason being [email protected] is currently being used by our company and it is also a mailing list mail address
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hello Srdjan,
    thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay.
    above is the screenshot of nslookup output.
    Virtual Machine who hosts webex server:
        Host name: webexadmin.bsb.com.cn   IP addr: 18.2.0.5
    Webex admin URL: webexsuper.bsb.com.cn  | IP addr: 18.2.0.7
    Webex site URL: webexweb.bsb.com.cn   |  IP addr: 18.2.0.7
    After they re-add all related hostname&IP mapping (EXSi server, vcenter, webex VM, webex Admin&Site URL) to the DNS server (11.4.0.8), webex site URL is now accessible, the page which asks me to input user ID & password to login.
    However, when we input the webex site URL (webexweb.bsb.com.cn) in Browser, we are automatically redirected to webexadmin.bsb.com.cn (host name of the virtual machine that hosts the webex), is that expected behaviors for webex site URL?
    Besides, we are now planning to change the mail server on webex, but we found that it did not allow us to input IP address of mail server, only FQDN name of mail server is valid for input. Is that a bug ? Why it does not allow us to input IP address for mail server?
    I will update you with the specific verson of my webex server soon.
    Thanks a lot for your reply.
    Kind Regards.

    (i.e., not from libraries and external programs/scripts it uses) go to the
    daemon.* syslog facility; check your syslog configuration to find out to which
    file(s) it is logged. PAM logs messages related to authentication to authpriv.*.

  • Special characters in UCM site URL does not give error

    Hey Experts,
    If we put any special characters in site URL, UCM does not show 404 page .. for e.g.
    site URL is http://www.example.com/abc/xyzs/index.html.... if we add special characters in URL for e.g. http://www.example.com/#$abc/xyzs/index.html...
    then home page of site is displayed .....http://www.example.com/...
    Also http://www.example.com/ abc/xyzs/index.html shows home page ..
    Any idea why it is happening ??

    I would attribute this behavious to the SSUrlMap filter - which has the job of turning the friendly URL's into SS_GET_PAGE service calls. Apparently the way it parses the URLs and looks for the patterns does not consider these characters.
    Is it actually a problem?

  • Get site collection url, site url and list url from a full uri?

    If I have incoming: only URI's of the format http://a.b.c/d/e/f/g/h/i/j/k/l/m/n/o/p.docx
    (And these are coming from multiple farms and multiple site collections) (and i have a web api on some remote server) (and have all the authentication details)
    And I want to query just the single the item via csom : check one column and if value="yes" then download the doc:
    a. how do i get the absolute site url out of it for " clientcontext ctx = new clientcontext(THISURL) "
    b. how do i then get the list uri out of it to push a caml query to to then retrieve it
    I could :
    a. strip off the filename, that is the easy part :)
    b.  I could paste "/_api/contextinfo" behind it and POST it first as a httprequest. Then first get the site and web url and later on
    find a way to find the list url (which is probably the first item behind the fullWebUrl), but it seems weird to mix this in the mix
    Basically im looking for something that tells me what is what in http://a.b.c/d/e/f/g/h/i/j/k/l/m/n/o/p.docx

    Sorry, GetList is only available in the O365 version of Microsoft.SharePoint.Client. If you could test for a root site collection and if there is not one then take the scheme ... + Uri.segments[0] and then get the context. After that you can use
    the GetFileByServerRelativeUrl. The following demonstrates this.
    public static void GetFileList()
    string fileUrl = "http://basesmc15/teamonesubone/teamsubonesubone/Shared%20Documents/folderholder/newauthor6.pdf";
    Uri fileUri = new Uri(fileUrl);
    Uri webUrl;
    ClientContext rootContext = new ClientContext(fileUri.Scheme + Uri.SchemeDelimiter + fileUri.Host);
    webUrl = Web.WebUrlFromPageUrlDirect(rootContext, fileUri);
    ClientContext subContext = new ClientContext(webUrl.ToString());
    File file = subContext.Web.GetFileByServerRelativeUrl(fileUri.AbsolutePath);
    List list = file.ListItemAllFields.ParentList;
    subContext.Load(list);
    subContext.ExecuteQuery();

  • Cleaning the "cache" of internet sites (URL's) stored

    How do I clean the "cache" of internet sites (URL's) stored on my computer?
    Where are cookies stored?
    I cannot find where these are stored, though a technician showed me once.

    Under Safari's History menu select Clear History at the bottom of the listing.
    To clear Cookies open Safari Preferences > Privacy and locate the button to clear cookies.
    If you enable the Develop menu then you can empty all caches from it. Should find that under the Advanced icon in the preferences toolbar.

  • Opendocument url changes automatically on different machines

    Hello All,
    I have one url of a Document
    http://server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=sample
    when i open this url on the same server, it asks for credentails, after passing the same, the page show could not find the document and page 404 missing
    When i open the same document on different server the URL changes automatically to
    http://server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/1403251017/OpenDocument/opendoc/logonVintela.do?appKind=OpenDocument&iDocID=sample&sIDType=CUID&isApplication=true&appKind=OpenDocument&appCUID=AZXgyG8_ue9OtYITUhGG.wg
    the file gets downloaded.
    Does anybody know the solution?
    Kind Regards
    MD

    Hi
    In one machine without asking anything is runs and downloads the document (url changes automatically in this machine, second link)
    this is because
    The URL we are using to access the launch pad
    if we are using http://xyz:8080/BOE/BI
    the our URL for open doc should be http://xyz:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/logonVintela.do?appKind=OpenDocument&iDocID=sample&sIDType=CUID&isApplication=true&appKind=OpenDocument&appCUID=AZXgyG8_ue9OtYITUhGG.wg
    then it will not ask for anything it will take from the existing session.
    or we are accessing the launch pad with the http://111.1115.556:8080/BOE/BI
    and passing the above URL
    http://xyz:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/logonVintela.do?appKind=OpenDocument&iDocID=sample&sIDType=CUID&isApplication=true&appKind=OpenDocument&appCUID=AZXgyG8_ue9OtYITUhGG.wg
    then it will as for a user name and password
    then will as for a login screen
