If Explorer.exe still crashes, please try collecting crash dump to help fix this problem.
Please download .reg from my OneDrive:
http://1drv.ms/1mgTZsT
Following this, please make a double click on the file to import it.When the Windows Explorer crashes, Windows Error Reporting Service creates a dmp file under C:\Localdumps.
Then upload the dump with OneDrive.

Adobe InDesign crashes frequently (Win8.1pro, CS6 Design Standard)
I am experiencing an issue with Adobe InDesign. It crashes frequently, 3 or 4 times over an 8 hour work day. There doesn't seem to be a pattern in the crashes, it isn't when I'm doing anything specific, it just happens seemingly randomly.
The computer is an HP laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center 64bit installed.

I have read about this issue and have tried clearing user preferences, disabling live preflight, running adobe updates, and I have done a complete uninstall, run the CC cleaner tool, and reinstalled CS6 Design Standard. The issue still persists.
Some more insight or suggestions for a solution would be much appreciated.
Thanks.Try updating to the latest version of IDCS6 which should be 8.0.2.

Premiere Elements 9 project crashes frequently
I am using PE9 on only my second project. It is PAL HDV 1080i 25fps with footage captured from a Canon HV30. I am running on Windows 7.
My project is currently 50 minutes long and has a large number of stills. I am finding it crashes frequently, especially when I try to add a new title above a still. I own and have read the Muvipix Guide to PS9 and PE9 and am aware about not making images too large. In his book Steve states that for HD video slideshows the optimal photo size is 2200x1235 - mine are in fact 2048x1536. Should I be making them smaller? If I resize them to 1024x768 would it help? I am at this stage going to be producing a DVD and will lose the high def anyway, but later down the track (if I get a Blu-Ray burner) I may want to produce a Blu-Ray disc - with the smaller image size wouldn't I lose some quality?
I am really frustrated with the constant crashing and the need to save my project after every small change. I previously used Ulead Media Studio Pro which has been unsupported for nearly 5 years, and was a nightmare with crashing. At first I was really happy with PE9 but now I'm beginning to think there is no video editor that runs smoothly. Thanks to Neale and Bill for the quick replies. I downloaded the latest audio driver and it seeme
d to take longer today before PE gave me a warning about low memory, and then continues without crash
ing. Yesterday I looked in the event viewer and found this:

There are also a lot of messages about SQL Server Express which apparently runs as a service (for my share charting software) - should I be disabling it?
e.g SQL Server is now ready for client connections. This is an informational message; no user action is required
I haven't looked at the videos re Case of the Unexplained but will do after Easter (going away).
I am thinking of splitting my project into 4 parts, rendering each part separately (in HD to produce an m2t file. Then another project (let's call it FINAL) would import the 4 m2t files to the timeline. This raises a couple of new questions:
1. Will I get any loss of quality if I output from FINAL in (a) m2t format for a HD web file, or (b) to a DVD
2. If I edit the m2t files on the timeline in FINAL will that affect final output quality
3. although I can output the work area only from my original project (45 minutes), I would prefer to have 4 short projects. Is there any way of selecting all clips in the work area, or in a certain part of the timeline, without having to do it manually. In other words how can I quickly split my full project into 4 11 minute projects? -
Firefox crashes frequently while using facebook, youtube, etc
I am using firefox 30 and my firefox crashes frequently when i use facebook, while watching youtube videos, closing a high-loaded tabs, etc and also shows "plugin-container.exe has encountered a problem and must close." and another problem is that while watching youtube or using fb plug-container.exe and firefox.exe both uses about 500MB of my RAM and currently I have only 1.5GB RAM which makes pc working slower. I had recently disabled hardware acceleration but the crashing problem still there.
Please provide me a Fix.here are the latest crash reports::

8i EE Setup.exe crash - XP Pro and AMD X2 CPU
When trying to install 8i on my XP Pro (SP2) box with and AMD X2 3800+, setup.exe crashes as soon as it is run. I've tried the fix for P4s (renaming the symcjit.dll instances), but to no avail. This happens wherever the setup.exe is run from.
Has anyone encountered this problem and managed to fix it?Hope you realize that Microsoft has changed a number of the kernel APIs with XP. Oracle8i was written to older APIs and you may experience crashes, possibly at random, simply because you are trying to run things in an incompatible way.
(I see this as a bit like buying a new car chassis and putting in an old engine and transmission - there is a lot of tinkering required to get the motor mounts to match.)
In my experience, people who have made 8i work on XP Pro have generally upgraded XP from an older OS and have been lucky enough to have the old APIs still lying around.
Suggest you try moving up to a newer version of Oracle and, if necessary, use the compatibility parameter to keep compatibility. -
I have built a new RDS farm on Windows Server 2012 R2 with two Session Hosts and a combined Connect Broker/Web Access server. I had the farm up and running with User Profile Disks and all seemed OK. However, as soon as I installed the App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS
client on the session hosts, the explorer.exe process started crashing for any user logging in via the Web Access site. The process crashes and restarts every five to ten seconds. It's the same for administrators. If they log in via Web Access explorer.exe
crashes, but if they RDP directly to one of the session hosts explorer.exe is fine. If I reboot the session hosts, then the first user to log in via Web Access has a stable desktop session (and appears to have a new profile as well). However, if that user
logs out and back in again, explorer.exe starts crashing again. The only applications I have packaged at the moment are Office 2013 and Firefox.
I tried disabling User Profile Disks, but this caused a whole bunch of other problems and I eventually lost the ability to log in at all via Web Access (errors about the user profile service). As this is a small pre-production environment I completed scrapped
all of the servers and rebuilt from scratch. Again, everything appeared fine until I installed the App-V client, then explorer.exe started crashing repeatedly for all users.
Has anyone come across this issue before? I have tried installing the App-V 5.0 SP2 Hotfix Package 2, but this didn't help. I have read in a few forums that App-V doesn't work very well with User Profile Desks, but I have not heard of this particular issue.
Similarly, SP2 seems to have a lot of problems, so I am going to try removing App-V RDp Client SP2 and installing SP1. I ahev also deleted User Profile Disks for the test users to recreate their profiles, but this didn't help either.
Any other suggestions welcome!I forgot to include the application event log entry for explorer.exe crashing:

Logic 9.1.8 & Mainstage 2 - crashing frequently/audio issues
I have just uprgraded to this set up (though using the same sound card as I did on my Mac Book with Logic 8 & Snow Leopard prevously) - in order to avoid overloading which was happening on my previousl set up.. only to find that this new system seems very buggy - crashes frequently on Logic (Sudden Motion Sensor error - have disabled that now) and Main Stage freezes. Then a wierd echoey sound can happen - whereby any audio is echoed back from DAW, in Logic AND Mainstage.
I have down loaded two plug-ins/VST's since starting to use this new set up - an XILS Lab L.E. verision and a Crystal synth. I've downloaded the up to date Duet drivers from Apogee. (I have an Duet 1.5 that I used with my old set).
Have looked at the Console system log to try and understand what might be happening - it is FULL of text on occasions when Logic crashes - I am not tech savvy enough to unpick it though.
If anyone has any suggestions to help I would be grateful, thanks.
I do wonder if it is a Core audio issue though - given the echoiing that seems to occur...I have just uprgraded to this set up (though using the same sound card as I did on my Mac Book with Logic 8 & Snow Leopard prevously) - in order to avoid overloading which was happening on my previousl set up.. only to find that this new system seems very buggy - crashes frequently on Logic (Sudden Motion Sensor error - have disabled that now) and Main Stage freezes. IPad 1 Safari crashes frequently. I went to many Apple stores in different countries and each Apple staff member had their own different opinions with no help. I had upgraded my iOS to 5.1.1 and the Safari crashing started about one year after the upgrade and some Apple staff blame this- but this started one year later after the iOS upgrade. Recently at the Apple Store in Vancouver an Apple staff reset my computer (erased everything and sent to iCloud to reset the iPad) and I hoped this would fix the problem. IPad Safari still crashes. Short of booking an appointment for taking it for repair to Apple technicians which will cost me money can anyone help me to fix this Safari crashing.
Hi,
You might have a 3rd party plugin that isn't compatible with Safari 4.0.4. Go here for help...
Safari add-ons can cause performance issues or other situations
If you are using a USB hub, try disconnecting and restarting with just your keyboard and mouse connected.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Mac OS: Web Browser Quits Unexpectedly or Stops Responding
Also, you could download and install the 10.5.8 combo update (PowerPC) available here.
http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate
It contains fixes that might help. Then repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

MacBook Pro 8, 2 Crashes Frequently
I've a MacBook Pro 8,2 Early 2011 (15", 2.3 GHz i7, 16GB RAM). Since last month, my system started to crash frequently, from once a day to few (3-4) times a day. The crashes happened at random times - as I'm replying emails with Mail, browsing with Safari, opening files from Finder, editing a Word doc or Powerpoint ppt, etc. Each time the machine crashes, it simply reboots and goes straight to login. There is no specific pattern or steps that I observed to replicate this. Originally, the crashes happened on OS X Mountion Lion. I've upgraded to OS X Mavericks hoping that this will be fixed, however my system still crashes frequently even after upgraded to OS X Mavericks. The App Store confirms that there are no further updates for my system.
Any ideas on how to fix this, or at least how to go about pinpointing the problem? In case it helps, my latest error report is below.
Thanks.
BR,
Robin Mak

I have an iMac running OS 10.4.11. How can I check to see if I have the Flashback Trojan (and remove it, if I have it)? IMy Safari is also crashing frequently. Any suggestions?
Hi Barry, is this an Intel iMac, or a PPC iMac?

Flashback - Detect and remove the uprising Mac OS X Trojan...
http://www.mac-and-i.net/2012/04/flashback-detect-and-remove-uprising.html
In order to avoid detection, the installer will first look for the presence of some antivirus tools and other utilities that might be present on a power user's system, which according to F-Secure include the following:
/Library/Little Snitch
/Developer/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/MacOS/Xcode
/Applications/VirusBarrier X6.app
/Applications/iAntiVirus/iAntiVirus.app
/Applications/avast!.app
/Applications/ClamXav.app
/Applications/HTTPScoop.app
/Applications/Packet Peeper.app
If these tools are found, then the malware deletes itself in an attempt to prevent detection by those who have the means and capability to do so. Many malware programs use this behavior, as was seen in others such as the Tsunami malware bot.

DW5.5 crashing frequently (both 10.6.8 and 10.8.5)
Hello. I'm having problems with Dreamweaver CS5.5 crashing frequently while I'm working.
Sometimes I'm saving, sometimes I'm not even working in the program, but it is open in the background and it crashes.
I've tried to research causes online, but I'm still stuck.
I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard, in large part because of DW crashing, but the crashing has not stopped.
I have replaced the preferences, but still no change.
I read that it might be related to my font management software, "Suitcase Fusion", so I updated that, but still no change.
Then I read it might be b/c I am running 2 monitors from a video card that may not be able to handle it, so I tried using one monitor only, but still crashing.
I am reluctant to spend $ on s new computer for a better video card if I am not sure it will solve the problem.
Here is a link to 2 crash reports (the 2nd one starts on pg 22 of the PDF):
www.chesterandhound.com/download.html
Below are screen pix of my computer info (I do have a second monitor hooked up -- not sure if info below shows that).
ANY HELP or advice would be MOST appreciated.
Many thanks,
KatiePreran,
I haven't crashed now in almost a week! You have no idea how wonderful this is!
Thank you SO MUCH for your help!
Given that I just downloaded my Mountain Lion directly from the Adobe site, why wouldn't that version have included this patch?
It never occurred to me that a freshly downloaded versoin might still need to be updated.
Thank you again.
I wish I had asked for help much earlier -- when I was strugglng with this problem in 10.6.8.

Sapinst.exe crashes on Windows 7 (ver. 6.1)
Hi,
I am trying to install Netweaver CE 7.11 on Windows 7 64-bit. Yes, I know it is not supported. But still, I would like to ask right about the reason sapinst.exe crashes.
So, sapinst.exe can be launched in Win 7 native mode, but it is not compliant with OS compatibility. So I am trying to launch it in Vista mode. But sapinst.exe crashes with error log like this (sorry for flood, but see below).
At the same time sapinst.exe launches in Win 7 native mode + 32-bit sapinst.exe launches in Vista mode. Only 64-bit sapinst crashes in Vista mode. I suspect this is related just to JVM and near that, and may be solved. Please, advise, if someone has more expertise than me or experience with such or similar situations.
Thank you.
Regards,
Anton

So I assume ntdll.dll is the place where crash happens. Am I right? And what could it mean?
Thanks.
