Mono-debugger CRASH on arch_86_x64
Hi at all, guys!
Someone had tried mono-debugger on x64?
i just try this:
# pacman -Sy mono-debugger
(all completed succesfully)
and then:
$ mdb
Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Mono.Debugger.Frontend.GnuReadLine ---> System.DllNotFoundException: libmonodebuggerreadline

--- End of inner exception stack trace ---
at Mono.Debugger.Frontend.CommandLineInterpreter.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00000]
i've tried on others 2 instance of Archx64 and the error is the same.
Someone can say me hot to solve this damn problem?
I NEED IT!!!
PS: sorry for my poor eanglish (i'm italian).
Thanks in advance.

that's the problem.
i've installed following package too:
pacman -S mono-addins mono mono-debugger mono-tools monodevelop
as results i have:
extra/mono 2.2-1
Free implementation of the .NET platform including runtime and compiler
extra/mono-addins 0.4-1
a generic framework for creating extensible applications and for creating
libraries which extend those applications
extra/mono-debugger 2.2-1

collection of testing and development tools for use with mono (including
monodoc browser)
community/monodevelop 1.9.3-1

Hello,
I'm seeing a possible memory leak within
ImageSnapshot.captureImage() and also a debugger crash depending on
the dpi that I pass to that function.
This occurs while iterating over the children of a canvas,
creating an ImageSnapshot, and writing that snapshot to a file
while running / debugging an AIR application within Flex builder 3
beta 2. I've attached a sample application that demonstrates 1. an
out-of-memory error and 2. a debugger crash depending on the dpi
that's passed to captureImage().
1. I get an out-of-memory error #1000 when calling
ImageSnapshot.captureImage() with a dpi that results in an image
size of approx 5800x4400. This error occurs at random locations
within captureImage() depending on the dpi that's passed in.
Sometimes I can call captureImage() four times before getting out
of memory; sometimes more, sometimes less. Is it possible to adjust
the heap-size for an AIR application to avoid this. Could this be a
result of a memory leak? The documents indicate that captureImage()
should be able to produce 8kX8k images as long as they stay within
the (256MB) size limit of ByteArray. Shouldn't I be able to write
endless amounts of 5800x4400 images?
2. In the sample application included here. If the dpi is set
to 300, the app will loop four or five times and the debugger will
then crash.
Any help on either of the two topics above is appreciate.
Thanks,
PeteCan you please file a bug?

Thanks!

Use of multi-dimensional arrays in forms - forms debugger crash
Hello All readers,
have an issue with use of multi-dimensional arrays in forms when debugging and/or calling another form post array-population.
USING VERSIONS: oracle forms 9.0.4, Jinitiator 1.3.1.17, oracle db 10.1
the following code snippet works from a when-button-pressed trigger when called without the debugger. when called with the debugger it crashes when any element of the multi-dimensional associative array is accessed/populated/read. In addition, if i populate the multi-dimensional array then call a form (a msgbox form to display the arrays content as a string) it crashes too.
declare
type datasource_rec is record (field varchar2(32), val varchar2(3999));
type datasource_arr is table of datasource_rec index by binary_integer;
type datasource_arr_arr is table of datasource_arr index by binary_integer;
l_arr datasource_arr_arr;
procedure poparr(i_arr out datasource_arr_arr) is
idx binary_integer := 1;
iidx binary_integer := 1;
begin
while (idx <= 10) loop
iidx := 1;
while (iidx <= 10) loop
i_arr(idx)(iidx).field := 'field'||to_char(iidx)||':'||to_char(idx); --# debugger crashes here with JVM aborting... message (which crashes forms builder too)
i_arr(idx)(iidx).val := 'test value';
iidx := iidx+1;
end loop;
idx := idx+1;
end loop;
end;
procedure printarr is
idx binary_integer := l_arr.first;
iidx binary_integer;
l_msg varchar2(4000);
l_response pls_integer;
begin
while (idx is NOT null) loop
iidx := l_arr(idx).first;
while (iidx is NOT null) loop
l_msg := l_msg||chr(10)||l_arr(iidx)(idx).field||' = '||l_arr(iidx)(idx).val;
iidx := l_arr(idx).next(iidx);
end loop;
idx := l_arr.next(idx);
end loop;
alerts.info('see console for full printout: '||chr(10)||l_msg);
--l_response := msgbox.show(l_msg); --calls another modal form to display a long message, which crashes the runtime with a java console message*
r$debug.print(l_msg);
end;
begin
poparr(l_arr);
printarr;
end;
The java console does not print anything useful when both forms builder and the runtime crash/hangs as a result of the debugger being attached (except displaying a "JVM aborting" message) but when the runtime alone crashes as a result of calling another form after popping the MD array it prints:
oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Forms session <28> aborted: unable to communicate with runtime process.

has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution/workaround? is their some sort of memory limitation for forms-side handling of (multi-dimensional) arrays?+
many thanks

Visual Studio Debugger Crashes Without Notice
In the process of debugging a C++ application, and after increasing the array dimensions to final desired size, code will build but the VS Debugger crashes. I assume that code has exceeded some limit but I do not which. What is the limit
size for an array of doubles? - the code crashes when I define two arrays of 50,000 variables. - What could I being doing wrong?Hi Ernest26505,
Since this forum is to discuss the VS debugger tool issue, to make sure that whether it is your project issue or the VS debugger issue. Could you share us a simple sample with one drive? So we could really repro it in our side.
Since you get this issue when you debug your app, if you run your app with "Start Without debugging(Ctrl+ F5)", how about the result? Please check the detailed message in output window and Error list window if you build your app. We have to
make sure that it has no build error like this case:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/724e0694-e070-440c-811f-013b15a61b64/c-2010-how-to-create-big-array-sizes?forum=vcgeneral
To make sure that whether it is related to the specific line code, add the breakpoints in your project, and debug them, check the result.
Best Regards,
Jack

Re: JDeveloper debugger crashes the JRE in backing bean of a jsff.
Have you find a solution for this problem ?
I face the same problem , I noticed the problem occurred when you change the code in previous written method in managed bean
Regards,fine,
thanks for your replay Timo,
first of all I'm working in the following environment:
OS Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 64 bit
JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0
Using the embedded JDK 6.0_24-b50
Also I tried to solve the problem So I change the JDK to another Installed in my device 6.0_41 , but with no benefit.
Problem Description :
I create an ADF page fragment , create a manged bean (Request scope) , and create Some action listeners in the managed bean, also I change the "Hot class reload policy" from Tools -- Preferences -- Run -- WebLogic and make it Fast Swap, after that I run my application in debug mode. the page work properly but sometimes If you change the code at run-time in the manged bean and recompile the managed bean and try put break point , The embedded Weblogic application Server automatically shut down!! and raise the following in stack trace:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

Mono applications crashing on start
I am not able to start any of the games writen in mono I own . They all crash when I try to start them. The dump is also always similar, but different libs seem to fail depending on the game.
I removed all of mono (-Rc), reinstalled it, tried removing pulseaudio (on a whim, because I saw a post from someone for whom pulse was the culprit), I installed steam and tried starting the games for which I had keys from there ... to no avail. Apart from that my system is rock-stable, so now I'm a bit at a loss.
Some of the games i tried are KSP, Sir You Are Being Hunted, Race For The Sun.
this is the output when I try to start the game normally

Forte Debugger crashes in Solaris 8 on Sparc
Just did a brand new install of Forte4J 3 on my Sparc Ultra 30 and am experiencing a crash problem while debugging my swing application. The debug process exits intermittently although when the code is executed standalone it runs fine. The error thrown is:
FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP "util.c" (Feb 20 2002), line 1029: Unexpected error, error code = 113 (JVMDI_ERROR_INTERNAL)
Has anyone else experienced this?Well, looks like I didn't have an OS patch installed correctly. After re-installing all of the listed patches required, the crash stopped happening.
When all else fails, RTFM. -
every time I try to debug my app in Firefox the plugin crashes. anybody else have this problem? Its with more than one project too
You can set the pref dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to to -1 on the about:config page to disable the timeout.

AIR Debugger crashing in Flash Builder [Unload SWF]?
I'm using the latest 4.5 Flash Builder and have been working on an Android app for the Motorola Xoom. It works great and the development environment is borderline flawless. I have noticed one thing that keeps happening. When running my app on the laptop OR the Xoom directly from FB it works great. When I debug the app on my laptop it also works great, but sometimes when I try and debug on the device itself I get about 5 seconds of runtime and then the app mysteriously crashes on the device (goes to home screen) and the last thing shown in the console is [Unload SWF].
Any ideas? I have no doubt it is something I am doing but have been unable to find any solutions.
Thank you!I have this problem but I have found the reason.
I'm using external graphics from a .swc file. This problem appear when I'm loading an instance of a Movieclip that have inside another movieclip with property "visible" set to false. I have set it to true again on Flash, export again .swc, and set visible to false by code, while I have just created de object on run-time before add it to scene. -

AS3 IDE Debugger has a limit?
I've run into an issue with the AS3 debugger and I am
wondering if there is some maximum I have exceeded that the
debugger doesn't like. Here's the scenario... I have a fairly large
project that consists of about 80 classes defined in external .as
files as well as my main Document Class (with 1284 lines of code,
43.1 KB on disk) that starts it all off.
The swf runs fine but I can no longer get it to run in
debugger mode. It appears that I have exceeded the maximum number
of lines, or statements in the document class (or entire project?).
Here's why I've come to this conclusion...
In the main document class I added a test function that looks
like this:
function anyName(x:int):int {
x = x + 1; x = x + 2; x = x + 3; x = x + 4;
x = x + 5; x = x + 6;
x = x + 7; x = x + 8;
x = x + 9;
x = x + 10;
x = x + 11;
x = x + 12;
x = x + 13;
x = x + 14;
return x;
It doesn't matter where I add it, near to top, or at the end.
As it sits now, I can run it in the Flash IDE debugger
(ctl+shift+enter) and it stops at the first breakpoint.
But, if I add just one more statement, say "x = x + 9;" to
the end of that same line, or as another line in that function,
then the debugger fails to start and the output window shows:
"Attemping to launch and connect to Player using URL
C:\Documents and Settings\Dan\My Documents\Sites\MyApp.swf"
(Adobe, did you realize "Attempting" is misspelled in your
output?)
I can also add one more line "anywhere" in the program, it
does not matter where, and the debugger fails to start. If I remove
the line, the debugger works again.
So, anyone know if there are in fact limits to the IDE or the
debugger?
Anyone run across this before?
I am using Flash CS3 Professional version 9.0 on XP Pro SP2.
Thank you so much,
DanNot sure about the debugger crashing, but try rewriting your
function:
function anyName(x:int):int{
for(var i=1;i<=14;i++){
x+=i;
return x;
Cheers,

Native Extensions fail in FlashCC Debugger
I have a project using Native Extensions. While the project compiles and works fine on an Android device, when debugging I get a "Debugger failed to launch" error.
Removing the native extension references solves the issue, so I assume it's that that causes the debugger crash.
This is most regretable as the debugger opens a lot faster and provides better feedback than having to load the project up to a device.
Is anyone working on this bug?Hi Peter,
Could you please provide the exact steps and the OS details. I assume you are using "Debug-> Debug via USB" option to launch debugger on Android Device.
Thanks and Regards,
Meenakshi -
Booting problems with systemd, lvm, linux-ck-corex
Hi everyone,
since Friday I got some complications while booting my system.
I use systemd, pulseaudio, bluez, network-manger, gnome and gdm as login manager.
Every partition (root, home) without the boot and crypted swap partition is within a lvm volume group.
Xserver with gdm starts but the login mask does not appear. (only the background, mousepointer, topbar with clock, energy etc. are shown)
Switching to the getty2 works, but after typing username and password, nothing happens.
Only some messages from systemd are poping up, saying it couldn't mount my home partition (timeout).
That explains why I couldn't login.
Shutting down the system via the powerkey works.
Starting via a system rescue disk, mounting everything (including my home partition) and chrooting works fine.
Journalctl shows that there are more problems.
The network-manager times out.
Gnome-shell with consolekit-daemon and Pulseaudio fails to communicate with bluez over the dbus.

If you're using an initrd, you may not have the appropriate modules installed. If you're not using an initrd, then the kernel probably needs LVM support compiled in (not as a module) and could be solved by fixing that. I have never used the ck-patchset, but this should give you an additional data point.
Also comment=systemd.automount will be deprecated soon as I understand it; if you have a need for automounting, x-systemd.automount should be used instead. -
Ok so i did today my daily pacman -Syu and with some other packages that it says i need to update also is listed kernel26-2.6.13.4-3 even tho im running arch with kernel26-scsi-2.6.13.4-3 , i have no idea why this his happening but something tells me it isnt rite and if i update to that package my system will get bad .
So i my guessing is this needs to be reviewed maybe somo bad dependency or some like that
Cheers

Ok so i started updating package by package until i got to the mono-debugger wich is the package that is asking for the kernel26, maybe this will help more to see the problem. dependency check on mono-debugger ??
[root@bulletproof rdoggsv]# pacman -S mono-debugger

I installed mono-debugger omiting dependency check and also monodevelop and now im fine, pacman doenst ask anymore for the kernel update.tomk wrote:
I think it's more likely that kernel26-scsi should have
provides=('kernel26')
in its PKGBUILD, which it does not at present.
Regardless, no packages should depend on the kernel. That's part of the design (at least according to Xentac).
