Month Display as ??? with Application in iPlanet6.5 SP1
I have Application that display date it show ????
My OS is Solaris 9.0 with support Thai locale.
Where should be problem
May be this is a problem with your locale itself. Did u turn the i18n flag on. Can you turn the locale as english and see what is the behaviour. Ask their support folks they might know what variables to set for the locales.

Strange Display Errors with certain Applications (ATI X1600) [SOLVED]
Hi everyone!
I have been using Arch now for a year or so and am very happy with it, but now there is a problem I unfortunately can't solve by my own.
Since a month or so certain applications (like emacs, feh or gimp, if i try to manipulate the drawing surface) cause very strange display errors. When I try to take a screenshot, they can't be seen, so i made to photographs
Image 1 (one instance of emacs under awesome-wm): http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/5186 … 112158.jpg
Image 2 (two instances of emacs under awesome-wm): http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/822/im … 112158.jpg
I already tried another display manager (musca) but there the same applications cause the same type of error.
Maybe the version 6.14.0-1 of xf86-video-ati broke my system, but I don't know.
Has anyone had similar problems or probably a solution?
Thanks in advance
Maak
P.S.: I hope this is the right forum for this topic.

its almost 10 months,i purchased ipad2 32 3G wifi.itinially i got problem with applications and safari shut off frequently now since last 4 months my ipad starts with a message (connect iTunes)like first time start and going to restore mode and it occurs frequently.plz advise.
If you have followed the standard Apple troubleshooting processes (see user guide )
probably a trip to the local Apple Store Genius bar is called for before warranty runs out
Assuming the iPad has been released in your Country if not you may have to take it to a
neighbouring Country where it is available
This page will tell you ,via the drop down menu Countries that can support iPad

Problem with application-variables - CFLOCK?
Hi,
i have a problem with my application. It is a multi-user
application with 100 parallel-users and CFMX 7.
The problem wich occures is with application variables. These
are mainly structs wich get filled onApplicationStart(). The
problem is, that the variables suddenly disappear, they are empty.
I have read about CFLock and found out, that it is necesseary
to use cflock. And i found out, that onApplicationStart does
correct locking automatically. That is where i do not understand
the problem. The variables get intialized correctly and in further
they only get read-access. Why can they be corrupted?
My other question about that is, wheather i need cflock for
all Read-Access to Application and Session-Variables, even if there
happens no writing to the variables?
Best Regards,
Andreas> ?The element of position 2, of dimension 2, of an array
object used as part of
> an expression, cannot be found.?
> The array is in this case the struct.
Well, OK, that could be a problem. Arrays are not structs:
they are two
different things, are not interchangeable, and have
completely different
sets of functions to utilise them. You cannot treat a struct
as an array.
If CF is claiming your "struct" is an array, then it actually
*is* an
array, not a struct.
What's the line of code which is generating that error?
I suppose one could get this error if you have an array of
structs thus:
myArray
.key1
myArray.key2
(etc)
and you're trying to reference it with a numeric key rather
than by key
name, eg:
myArray
[n]
When n is an integer value, rather than a string (which
corresponds to the
name of the key).
> > Have you trapped the error, done a <cfdump>
of the application scope and

just some values?
> I have not used cfdump for it, because the server had to
be immediately

not completely empty,
> because the index runs to pos2 of dimenstion2.
So does this not happen in your dev / testing environment?
> Will
> onApplicationStart() be called before? Or only if
onRequestStart() returns true?
I would ***-u-me that the application one would be called
before the
request one. It's pretty easy for you to test this though, I
should think?
(Sorry: for reasons beyond the scope of this conversation,
we're still
forced to use Application.cfm in our software, so I've only a
passing
knowledge of how Application.cfc works).
> Here is the code from onRequestStart()
> <cffunction name="onRequestStart"
returntype="boolean">
> <cfargument name="Requestedpage" required="yes" />
> <cfscript>
> var lFile = "/cargorent/Login.cfm";
> var iPosn = ListFindNoCase( lFile,
Arguments.Requestedpage );
> if( iPosn gt 0 )
> return true;
>

session.user.Loginname eq
> "" )
> {
> WriteOutput( "

The current user is no
longer valid, please log in

> WriteOutput( "" );
> return false;
> }
>
> return true;
> </cfscript>
> </cffunction>
One thing I will say here is that I really think you should
be separating
your processing from your display. A function should do
processing. it
should pass that processing back to a CFM template which
should handle
whatever needs to be displayed on the browser. Although
that's nowt to do
with your current issue.

Problem with Application server
Hi All,
I'm facing problem with Application Server. When I installed the appserver and started it.. It started with the message " server has been started and some services will run at back". But when I tried stopping it using the stop default server i got the message that there is no server running but when i saw in the task manager i cud see two process running 1) appserver.exe and 2) imqbroker(something).exe so eventually I had to kill it.
Now when I'm trying to start the application server again its giving me this message "CLI156 Could not start the domain domain1" and below is the log file attached if its of any help
[#|2005-08-31T23:37:57.000+1000|WARNING|sun-appserver-pe8.1_01|javax.enterprise.tools.launcher|_ThreadID=10;|LAUNCHER005:Spaces in your PATH have been detected. The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop. Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components. |#]

Thanks in advance
AjayThe VERY FIRST message in the server log gives you a hint as to what the problem might be. The server thinks you have spaces in your PATH to the application server. Therefore, the solution is to kill the server however you need to (task manager, whatever) and then reinstall it in a path that doesn't contain spaces. That's the low-hanging fruit here; if that doesn't work, well, then we will have to find some other solution.

Studio Display 21" with Mac Mini?
I am considering getting a Mac Mini as an economical upgrade to my B/W G3 system but I want to make sire that my monitor is going to work with it. I have the origingal blue and white 21" Studio Display. the System Profiler says this......
Displays:
Studio Display 21:
Display Type: CRT
Resolution: 1152 x 870 @ 75 Hz
Depth: 32-bit Color
Core Image: Not Supported
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Quartz Extreme: Not Supported
Will this display work with a new Mac Mini? I really do not have the $ right now to get a new Monitor and this one works great anyway. I am also wondering how my current software,,,,,,, Photoshop,Indesign etc. will work with the new Intel Macs?
THanks for any input
MyShunshynCan't help on the screen much - believe you need to get an adapter, as the previous post indicated. You might check in the Apple dislay area at http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=111
Regarding your applications, as long as you're not running under OS 9 or earlier, your applications will run on the Intel mini under Rosetta emulation. Universal applications are those that have been modified to run on both the PPC and Intel macs, and they run natively. Those applications that have not been made universal run under Rosetta emulation. Photoshop is an example of an application that has not been made universal yet (supposed to happen this year with Photoshop CS3). Running under emulation does extract a performance penalty, of up to 50%, versus running in native universal mode.
If you have applications running under OS9 or in the OS X classic environment, you'll need to upgrade to an OS X version in order to run on the Intel-based mini, and you may find there are Universal versions of your software, which would be even better. -
How to get/display time with minutes in a test item
Dear experts,
Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)
Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
Oracle Toolkit Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)
PL/SQL Version 10.1.0.4.2 (Production)I've the following requirements.
In my form, there are three text items and one save button.
Text items named as
No_of_days --> Number data type
(user will enter number of days)
hours_limit --> Char data type with format mask (HH:MI);
(user will enter hours with minutes)
Upto_date_time --> date data type;
this field calculated as (No_of_days+hours_limit+sysdate)
User will enter No_of_days or hours_limit:
Based on the values I've to calculate Upto_date_time
Here is the problem:
1) If user doesn't enter hours_limit I want to show default time as " 04:00 PM"
2) If user enter hours_limit field we should allow them to enter in the following format
"HH24:MI" format;
what whould be suitable data type for hours_limit field..
I tried with char and i've set the format mask as ,
set_item_property('BLOCK3.hours_limit',format_mask,'HH:MI');
But I'm geeting the error
"FRM-50027:Invalid format mask for given datatype"
Please help to solve this problem,
Regards,
KarthiHi vansul ,
set_item_property('BLOCK3.hours_limit',format_mask,'HH:MI');
Format mast is only allowed to date data type fields.If i set the hours_limit item's data type as date , I'm getting the error message "ORA-01843:Not a valid month"..
How could i make this field only getting or display time with minutes?

Karthi -
Is it possible to change the amount of weeks shown in the Month display of iCal?
Currently it shows 6 weeks, thereby leaving days with more than 4 events depicted with "x more".
Ideally I'd like to change it to 3 or 4 weeks, any one know how?Is it really not possible, I can do it on a Microsoft machine, come on Apple, pull your finger out....

Not all chinese characters display correctly with non-embedded text
Hi all,
I've updated to the last beta 2 of Flash Player 10.1 (10,1,51,66) and compiled this simple Flex application to illustrate the fact that not all chinese characters can be displayed correctly with non-embedded text (device font).

<s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo"
minWidth="1024" minHeight="768"
creationComplete="resourceManager.localeChain = ['zh_CN'];"
layout="{new VerticalLayout()}">
<fx:Script>

import spark.layouts.VerticalLayout;

</fx:Script>
<s:Label text="伜-伞伟传伡伢伣伤伥伦伧伨伩伪伫伬伭-伝">
</s:Label>
<mx:Label text="伜-伞伟传伡伢伣伤伥伦伧伨伩伪伫伬伭-伝"/>
</s:Application>
Notice that characters from the Unicode range 0x4F1E .. 0x4А2D are not displayed within <s:Label> component that uses Flash Text Engine (FTE) by default to display the text, but at the same time those characters display just fine within older <mx:Label> component that relies on flash.text.TextField instance to render the text.OK, did not know that "Arial Unicode MS" font is only distributed with Microsoft Office, was looking into relying on this font in case if "simsun.ttc" font is not available at the user's system, by using the following:

<s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
minWidth="1024" minHeight="768"
creationComplete="resourceManager.localeChain = ['zh_CN']"
layout="{new VerticalLayout()}">
<fx:Style>
@namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
@namespace mx "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo";
s|Label {
fontFamily: "Arial Unicode MS, SimSun, Arial";
</fx:Style>
<fx:Script>

import spark.layouts.VerticalLayout;

</fx:Script>
<s:Label id="sparkLabel" text="伜-伞伟传伡伢伣伤伥伦伧伨伩伪伫伬伭-伝"/>
</s:Application>
Tough decision ahead, but accordingly to the survey at codestyle.org (2000 participants from 2007 year and onwards), Arial Unicode MS is present at 62.53%% system surveyed.
ps
My current install of Windows XP already includes the install of Microsoft Office 2007 and I've also enabled/disabled the support of East Asian languages, thus the content of my "fonts" folder differs now significantly from "clean" Windows XP install version.
Nevertheless I found the page with comprehensive lists of standard fonts installed with different releases of Windows that looks viable here: http://www.kayskreations.net/fonts/fonttb.html -

Monthly Trend Report with YTD.
Hi gurus,
In my query, I want the previous year sales to be displayed along with current year sales and growth.
Now, I have to create a monthly trend report along with YTD values in the end. Months should be drilled across by default. In the end, there should be YTD values as well (for the same Key Figures).
The report output should look as follows (run for only two months say April 09 and May 09, YTD would be till April 09 to May 09)
Apri 09 May09 YTD Value
Sales District 1 KF1 KF2 KF3 KF1 KF2 KF3 KF1 KF2 KF3
Considering that for Previous Year, I just want Net sales (not other KF's) & that the report should have the complete month wise trend along with YTD, I cannot create a structure as well.
Can anyone please tell me how to go about achieving it.
Thank & rgds,

TAM 6.1 with IDM 6.0 SP1
I tried configurng TAM with IDM 6.0 SP1. This is the error i am getting
Resource adapter class 'com.waveset.adapter.AccessManagerResourceAdapter' could not be instantiated: com/tivoli/pd/jutil/PDException (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
The release notes for IDM do not show TAM 6.1 as compatible. Was wondering if anybody configured it successfully
Thanks,I have another ? now on using NB 6.1 with IdM 8.0
Originally, I installed the NB with LocalFiles option, but have since used the run LH command, and setRepo ....
It did not seem to be permanent though, and in the course of a build I'm seeing
Starting internal database server ...
jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://127.0.0.1
Why ?
Also, I thought I would be able to open up a repo object (workflow or form) and then clone it, and start customizing the new object.
Under the IDM menu the 'Open Object' and 'Download Object(s)' menu options are greyed out. Alternatively I can try to browse, using the Identity Manager Palette, but I keep getting the 'Login' dialog box and even if I've done a build, I get the exception:
'May not login to the application Identity Manager prior to server initialization'.
I'm obviously doing something wrong.
Is there a way to do this correctly ?
TIA for your help, suggestions. -
