Monthly average at run time.

Hi,
My report contains, say 10 ,records for each month.can I get an average of a keyfig in that month when I run my query?
Kind regards,
Aru

I have a new Macbookbook, about 2 months old, and at times running video, the fans starts and does not stop. how do you get it to stop. Also i am thinking once the video is done  the fan should be slowing down and getting quiet on its own.

Your fan(s) will run at high speed (i.e., loudly) while video is playing, and you can't get around that.
If your fans are not slowing down within 2-4 minutes after CPU- and/or GPU-intensive usage ends, and the application that was showing the video is still running, Quit that application. (In fact, if you're accustomed to Windows, you may not realize that simply closing a Mac application's window does not quit the application. You still need to use the Quit command in the application-name menu. There will always be a bright dot beside or below the application icon in your Dock for each application that is open.) Quit the ones you aren't using, and see whether that allows the fans to slow down without restarting the machine. If that doesn't do the trick, reset the SMC:

  • Run time error in report for a particular month : "  TIME_OUT"

hi frends, we have developed a report for PM module in SAP. it is a monthy report. and user have to enter the month for which he wants to see the report. we are facing runtime error for a particular oct. and nov month of 2009 only , all other months are working fine. The error is :
The program "ZPMR_EQUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT" has exceeded the maximum permitted
      runtime without
interruption and has therefore been terminated.
    what could be the reason.

    Hi  Achalmehra,
By seeing the run time error "TIME_OUT", I suspect this is due to Performance issue.
There is a chance that they had huge data dump into PM server from other servers and there is also chance that
They have many records available for these 2 months.
IN any case, please chk with Run time analysis (SE30) by executing your program...
If it displays the graph more than 30 % for Database then it is an issue with the Performance.
    Also chk with SQL trace.....
    Second case :
Check you had not used Nested Loops,  Select queries in Loop.
Make sure you use Binary search for  Read Statements....
Third : Chk with the runtime error at which place of the code it is throwing Time_out error at Source code extract.
To help you further, please paste your code here and also paste the Run time error that you receive with the select queries.

    Kittu

Run-time error '457' : This key is already associated with an element of this collection.
    We're using version 3.50.
I already saw oss note 517232 but that was for version 2.0 and not intresting for my case...  Anybody any idea?

    Hi,
Check this conditions as I haven't checked the queries ......make sure that these two conditions are not getting into picture after you make the changes to the query.
    1) When we are making restricted key figures we can’t use same variable to restrict to two different Characteristics in the same RKF.
2)Once a Variable used to restrict a characteristic in one RKF you cannot use it to restrict it other characteristic in other key figures i.e.  You can use it to restrict that particular characteristic only in other key figures.
    Hope it helps

  • Error 1334 (in LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1 setup) when launching VB6's IDE

What's going on here?  I have LabVIEW 7.0 and Visual Basic 6 installed on this Win-XP computer.  When I open VB6, I always get what looks like a Windows Installer error:
First, it asked me for the location of "lvruntimeeng.msi", which I located for it.  The next progress-window says:
    NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.11
Please wait while Windows configures NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.11
Finally it fails with this error-message window:
    NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.11
Error 1334.  The file 'NIMDFManifestFileId.53736431_DBEC_4582_B072_2F1F0A2C4EA6' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'lbruntimeeng_mft'.  This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
    [OK]
The two windows repeat twice each time I launch VB6's IDE, and that causes a long delay.  What can I do to prevent this error?
Message Edited by citizenDAK on 04-23-2008 01:34 PM

Yes it occurrs every time I launch VB6.
For a long time now, at least many months.  It's not every day that I need to open good old VB6.  I was hoping it'd just 'go away' but it hasn't.
I don't know what changes lead up to it.  LOTS of things have been updated, security-patched, etc...  (It is XP.)  I've even un-installed the runtime, then re-installed it when I kept getting the same prompt.  Don't have any idea why, I was hoping you could tell me from the specific file named in the error.  (Google didn't find it for me, and neither did searching ni.com)
p.s.,  Sorry I left out a decimal and copy/pasted it several times...  should've said "NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1"

  • On average, how many times do you have to restart ...

Ever since I've been using the E71 (less than a month, a new set), I have to restart it about thrice daily. Mostly, the problem occurs while connecting the phone to the PC (Windows 7) when the USB connection type selector on the phone (which appears when you connect the cable and asks for which mode to connect in) freezes; but some other times, just about any application (including the built-in ones) decides to take a nap and the only way to get it back is turn the set off and then back on again. And as soon as that is done, the app icons are all moved back from the customized folders to the folder "Installations" - very frustrating. I'm afraid of restarting this phone as lots of settings and app icons revert back to the defaults after restarting and I've to go through them again. But at the same time, there seems to be no way to make a stuck USB connection type selector work again without restarting.
Well, from my experience here, I know this particular problem has no solution. (Even if the process is ended using an external app manager, it hangs again on starting the app. This continues until the phone is restarted.) Therefore, I'm not looking for a solution here, although one will be welcome if you've undergone the same and have found a workaround. I just wanna know if you do also have to restart your phone. (I also have one Sony Ericsson and an iPhone; I don't generally need to restart them as long as I don't want to restart. At my current place, however, a Nokia phone is all I can use.)
So, do you have to restart your phone when you don't actually want to? If so, on average how many times a day (or a week)? This will help me determine if the problem lies with the phone or it's me who's doing something differently. Is there something you need to do regularly or often (like connecting the phone to the computer) and that operation generally results in a restart of the phone? Thank you for your response.

Yes I have apps installed on the SD card. Shifting them to the internal memory is not really an option (would leave very little free space over there which would then cause other problems). Besides, if the phone allows you to install the apps on the card, shouldn't they work from there? Yes, they should.
Without the card, there will be no custom apps and the phone would be almost useless (will turn into a basic device used to make calls and send text). To me, this is not an option. Also, I don't see how it would solve the problem automagically after some time.
The card doesn't seem to be faulty. I tried to connect the phone without the card inserted and it got connected alright for two times but the USB mode chooser froze the third time, just the same as with the card inserted. So a new card is probably not going to solve the problem.
Must be something strange happening here. Maybe it's due to the apps installed on the card rather than the internal memory, but I just cannot install all those apps within that limited space.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm waiting for more members' experience to come to any conclusion.

  • Design issue with sharing LV2 style global between run-time executables

    Hi,
Just when I though that I had everything figured out, I ran into this design issue.
The application that I wrote is pretty much a client-server application where the server publishes data and the client subscribes data using data sockets. Once the client gets all the data in the mainClient.vi program, I use LV2 style (using shift registers) to make the data global to all the other sub-vi’s. So the LV2 is in initialize mode in the mainClient.vi program and then in the sub-vi’s the LV2 is in read mode. Also, I had built the run time menu for each sub-vi that when an item is selected from the menu, I would use the get menu selection to get the item tag which will be the file nam
e of the sub-vi and open the selected sub-vi using vi server. This all worked great on my workstation where I have labVIEW 7.0 Express installed. But the final goal is to make exe’s for each of these sub-vi’s and install runtime on the PC’s that do not have labVIEW installed. Of course when I did that only the mainClient.exe program was getting the updated data from the server but the sub-vi’s were not getting the data from the mainClient.exe. I did realize that the reason for this is due to the fact that I had compiled all the sub-vi’s separately and so the LV2 vi is now local to each executable (i.e. all executables have their own memory location). Also, the run-time menu did not work because now I am trying to open an executable using vi server properties.
To summarize, is there a way to share LV2 style global's between executables without compiling all of the sub-vi’s at one time? I tried using data-sockets (local-host) instead of LV2 st
yle gloabls to communicate between the sub-vi’s but I ran into performance issues due to the large volume of data.
I would really appreciate it if anyone can suggest a solution/alternative to this problem.
    Thanks
    Nish

    > You mentioned that each sub-vi when opened will first connect to the

    > is what you meant I think that this might work for my application.
    >
If the LV2 global is loaded statically into your mainClient.vi, then any
other application can connect to the exe and get a reference to the VI
using the VI name. This gives you a VI reference you can use to call
    the VI. Ye
s, the values will be copied between applications. That is
why you need to add access operations to the global that returns just
the info needed. If you need the average, do that in the global. If
you need the array size, do that in the global. Returning the entire
array shouldn't be a common operation on the LV2 style global anyway.

Your app does need to watch both the amount of data being passed across
the network, and the amount being shared between the apps. You might
    want to consider puttin
g the VIs back into the main app. What is the
reason you are breaking them apart for?

  • ADF run-time error in 10.1.2 - worked fine in 9.5.1, and 9.5.2

We recently upgraded to JDev 10.1.2 from 9.5.2. We had a web application (Struts/ADF BC) that we had developed with 9.5.1 and has been in production for 5 months now.
We want to upgrade the ADF run-time libraries on our production server to the 10.1.2 libaries because they fix the one bug that we are having (bind variable gets dropped when app module is passivated). Before we deployed the app to the application server, we thought we should recompile it with Jdev 10.1.2 and deploy to a test container running the 10.1.2 ADF libraires.
We opened this application workspace in 10.1.2 and Jdev asked if we wanted to migrate and we said yes. We compiled the app and then ran it in the Jdev embedded container and we ran it in the stand-alone container that ships with Jdev and we got the following error in both cases. The page that it is failing on uses a tree binding. There is one other place in the application where we use a tree binding and it fails there also. Everything else works just fine in the app.
Is there a bug with tree binding in 10.1.2? Can anyone give me help with this?

  • Western Digital External Hard drive keeps undocking when running time machine.

I have been using a 2TB Western Digital My Book external hard drive for about a year now to run time machine and backup my files. The past month I have noticed that my backups have been failing. I try and for a backup and about halfway through it gets "delayed" because of an error. Then I have a alert pop up on my desktop with the following message:
The disk was not ejected properly. If possible, always eject a disk before unplugging it or turning it off.
The disk was not unplugged from the power supply or the usb port. I am stumped. Anyone know what is going on and how to fix it??

I would avoid WD, Seagate, LaCie, and Iomega external drives, and any drive with special features such as networking or built-in backup software.

  • Run time error QA32 of QM

We are geting following run time error when executeing QA32 t-code of QM , error as follows ,
    Error analysis
After a specific time, the program is terminated to make the work area
available to other users who may be waiting.
This is to prevent a work area being blocked unnecessarily long by, for
    example:
    - Endless loops (DO, WHILE, ...),
    - Database accesses with a large result set
    - Database accesses without a suitable index (full table scan)
The maximum runtime of a program is limited by the system profile
parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time". The current setting is 600 seconds. If this
    time limit is
exceeded, the system attempts to cancel any running SQL statement or
signals the ABAP processor to stop the running program. Then the system
waits another 60 seconds maximum. If the program is then still active,
    the work process is restarted.
    How to correct the error
Programs with long runtime should generally be started as background
jobs. If this is not possible, you can increase the system profile
    parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time".
Depending on the cause of the error, you may have to take one of the
    following measures:
    - Endless loop: Correct program;
    - Dataset resulting from database access is too large:
Instead of "SELECT * ... ENDSELECT", use "SELECT * INTO internal table
    (for example);
    - Database has unsuitable index: Check index generation.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

    No Dear,
Not at all. I think it should work for atleast one month period.
But sometimes depending on the database size and hardware, this criteria can vary.

  • Help!: Control reference seamingly "lost" in run-time execution mode

    Hi!
    The Facts:
    LabView 6.1 PC under NT.
I've been using "Vi loader" technique since a few month s to distribute a LabView application on severals PCs without having to re-compile it each time. My application uses more than 500 VIs so I can't build it directly. The directories/Vis of the application are simply copied on the target PC and run through the Vi loader technique instead of using the development environnement.
    The problem:
Since the last release of the my application, differences between the application running in development mode or run-time mode have appeared:
One VI reading a .ini file does not act the same way if runned in the developpment environnment or
runned in the run-time environnment. This VI uses control-references from its front-panel and passes them to sub vis. In run-time execution those references seems to be perverted: the sub-vis get them but can't access their properties like Label Name, Values,...
All works perfectly fine if the VI is runned in the environnment developpment.
Moreover the same sub-vis called with other control references in other VIs work fine.
    Question:
Has anyone seen any behavioral difference between run-time execution and development environnement execution?
Are there any differences in the linkage process between those 2 execution ways?
Is there any labview Feature that would automaticaly "de-allocate" references at run time and would do so "too early"?
Is there any know problem with poly-morphique VIS in run-time execution mode.
That's all, any idea, lead, wellcome!

    Hi Andrew!
I've allready had a look at the "Problem with VI Loader technique". It only deals with top vis not working (ie broken) when called from loader in Run-Time mode because of ill declared vi.lib path.
It's "unfortunately" not my problem: My VI is not broken, it's kind'a working, but not as it does in development environment execution mode.
If NI people are reading this, I would like to send them the VI and it sub-VIs to understand if something has been perverted .
The problem is seen on all three target PCs.
Moreover, a new one has appeared: in run-time mode, the standard "file dialog" vi called to prompt the user for a file with a given extension pattern sends back the file name with the extension "double dotted" (exemple: anything..data
    instead of anything.data).
About the first problem, does any know why a Ctrl Refnum would loose its parent information (name, value...) in run-time execution mode?
    Bye!

  • Run-time error calling TestComplete

    Hi,
I have a COM interface setup between TestStand and another software (TestComplete).  The two software were working and communicating well together for few month.  But yesterday I received an "error occurred calling TestComplete Library- Testcomplete in playing state."  Please see attachment.
I have all the test scripts running on a network drive, never had a problem before.  What could be the cause of the problem?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Best Regards,

    Hi Ph2,
I hope you are doing well today!  As Ray has mentioned, it does seem that this error is being caused due to the current state that your TestComplete software is in when trying to communicate with it.  I am not familiar with TestComplete myself, but the specific dialog of the error, "An error occurred calling 'RunRoutineEx' in 'ItcIntegration' of 'TestCompleteLibrary'  TestComplete is already in the playing state," sounds like it might be trying to put the TestComplete program in the play state while it is already in this state.
The best bet would be to touch base with Smartbear as this does not look like a TestStand specific error.  I hope this helps, Ph2.  Have a great day!

  • To find Query Run-times

    Hi guys,
i was trying to compare query run-times with and without BIA using RSRT, however i'm running into hurdles..
the same query when executed twice (without BIA) without using cache is showing different data manager times
i'm surprised how the reason could be
the difference sometimes is very high even the wait times are also sometimes very different
how to arrive at the average run-times are there any tools besides rsrt (i hve no access to statistics queries) but st03 doesnt seem to be of much help
i'm lookin at the fine difference so accurate times are necessary
    thanks,
your help will be greatly appreciated

    Hi.....
    check the following links :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/43/e3807a6df402d3e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7c/2bde42fa712b78e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    Another thing :
If you want to use the BI statistics for Query runtimes, you will need the 0TCT_C01 InfoCube, together with the multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
The queries for the BI statistics to report over query runtimes are all built on the multiprovider.
Besides that, you will need the virtual infoprovider 0TCT_VC01, to be able to report on the latest data. Because you will probably load the statistics each night into the 0TCT_C01 cube, you can report on the latest data using the 0TCT_VC01 virtual cube.
    Hope this helps you........
