Mophie juice pack helium iphone 5 case

I want to make a review on my mophie case. I got it as a christmas gift about 3 months ago. I really enjoyed it for those 3 months until the charge started to flicker. When i turn the case on to start charging the phone it cant continuously charge the phone. I tried going online and put in a claim for the warranty. At first they seemed friendly and then i read something talking about paying for the repairs or the return shipping, i thought that was odd but i wanted to clarify what i would have to pay for and they didnt bother to give me an answer. I dont know who is in charge of customer service but it really seems like they could care less. I made an account to write this post HOPING a mophie official who cares will actually see this. If not i guess it goes to show how much they care

    I read this and other reviews and decided to pick one up. I loved it at first and then found some reviews claiming it messes with the phones reception. I then looked at mine and noticed it was down two bars where it is normally full. I tried several of my friends phones and it did the same thing. I've managed by carefully monitoring 3G data connections and typically turning off location services, notifications, and wi-fi tracking when not in a hot spot/wi fi zone. Like others, I wish i didn't have to, but it works okay for me. Note, at present, I'm not a power business user like many others, nor am I traveling frequently to absolutely depend on a external source. Still - many external charge options are available which do not imped sig strength, etc. I love the juice pak, but do believe it impedes signal strength. If iPhone was on verizon, maybe not as big a deal, but ATT, where I am in FL, is spotty to begin with, hence, my choice. Hope this helps.

    Just wondering if it's worth the $80, it seems like a slick case/backup battery. Sorry if this has been asked before.

    My brother bought one for his iphone 3gs on ebay for about $30-40..he loves his..hes on the road all day..and loves that he doesn't have to worry about having a car charger..he just turns on the switch on the back of the case..and poof..within minutes his phone is completely charged again..make sure you look on ebay/amazong before paying full price..such as this one :

  • Best screen protector? Mophie juice pack? for Verizon iPhone

    I just got the Verizon iPhone. Can people suggest
    1) the best screen protector; the one that came with it is weird in that it won't actually attach to the screen at the edges
    2) the juice pack from Mophie (case + built-in additional battery) - does it fit the Verizon iPhone also? Any problems with it?

    I'll reply since no one else has - I hate it when I get no replies!
    For screen saver, I like Power Support's crystal film protector. It feels most like the actual touch screen when installed. Their anti-glare, which I have on my iPad, shows less fingerprints but is slightly more draggy to use, Zagg's Invisible Shield is also well-reviewed but it has a slight orange-peel look/feel and I like a screen saver to feel as much as possible like the actual screen in use Screen savers are essential, IMO. When I first got my phone in July, I took a week-long trip to San Diego without installing a screen saver and had a light scratch on my screen on my phone although it was in a case and I was careful with it.
    As for the Mophie Juice Pack, I read on some tech blogs this morning that it's being released for V iPhone so check the Mophie website. As to whether you need a case that provides extra battery life, I'd use the phone without it for a few days first to see how well your battery lasts with your personal usage requirements. I think iPhone 4 has better battery life than most comparable smart phones but none of them are really great.

  • IPhone won't charge using Mophie Juice Pack after upgrade to 3.1

    I have an iPhone 3GS. I have been using a Mophie Juice Pack to charge it with good results. After the upgrade to 3.1, the Juice Pack no longer charges the iPhone. I get the dreaded message, "This accessory is not made to work with the iPhone." Of course it is made to use with the iPhone. Actually that's all it's made for.
    Any thoughts?

    Odd 3Gs recharge issues galore. My problem is somewhat similar and I believe it is an iPhone issue and not a juice pack issue. Fully charged iPhone, left on, over night (7 hours) and not used, still has reasonable battery power left in the morning, almost full in fact.
    Take the same fully charged iPhone and place it in the iPhone dock connected to the MacPro and the charging sign shows up. Turn the MacPro off overnight and in the morning the iPhone is dead, fully discharged.
    Take the same fully charged iPhone and seat in the fully charged JuicePack Air with the Juice Pack switched to charge the iPhone (green button) and 7 hours later both the JuicePack and the iPhone are dead, fully discharged.
    Repeat this process with the JuicePack switched RED, not charging and the iPhone will be fully discharged but not the Juice Pack 7 hours later. Yes, the Juice Pack will then start to charge the iPhone when switched to green.
    It would appear that when connected to any utility (JuicePack, Dock etc.) the iPhone will start to discharge when that power source dries up. It is as if the dried up power source is draining the power from the iPhone !

    I don't know if mophie juice pack work on 5c, but I have a RavPower 14000mAh and it works on my 5c. Think it's a smart choice as it can charge 2 of my devices at the same time. I feel that the speed is even faster than I plugged into the wall. You may get it from amazon if you'd like.

  • Mophie Juice pack plus for iPhone 5 compatible with 5S?

    Does the mophie Juice pack plus for iPhone 5 have enough space to clear the dual flash to work with the 5s? I know it will fit.  Mophie has not yet said if it will work.  I am asking anyone who currently has a Juice pack for 5, and has received a new 5s and has tested the camera to insure that it works properly without any flash back issues.  Thanks

    I'm not sure I understand the previous poster's issue- perhaps a bad Mophie??
    My setup is great! I'm using 5S 64GB and iTunes 11.1 (latest release) on MacBookPro Mid-2009 10.8.5 (Mtn Lion). The Mophie is a white Juice Pack Plus for the 5 I just purchased on Amazon. First, the flash has plenty of space (photo below). The Mophie does not synch over their supplied cable- this is by design. tTey recommend over wifi. Note: There was a bug with the pre release of iOS 7 where synching over wifi wasn't working. See http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1595220  This issue (not sure if related to JBM0077's problem?) is independent of the Mophie. I'd try the "reset" a poster @ macrumors outlined.
    For me, this worked fine out of the box. First, disconnect Mophie from your phone and plug your phone in to your computer with the supplied Apple Lightning cable. Your phone will now be seen in iTunes. Go into iTunes Summary tab and select the option to "Synch with iTunes Over wifi". After doing that and applying the changes, you can disconnect the iPhone and reconnect Mophie. You can even plug in the Mophie to charge the phone at this point. While it's charging, on the phone tap >Settings, >General, >iTunes Wi-Fi Synch. click the synch and everything should work. It is for me. Good luck!!

    Does anyone know if there are plans to release a new juice pack for the iPhone 4? Is there anything even comparable to the Mophie juice pack? I have the one for my 3GS, but I will be upgrading like most of you and just wanna be prepared. I don't like the idea of having to carry around extra chargers, etc.

    I'm wondering the same thing myself. I've been looking ever since the iPhone 4 was announced but have had no luck finding an answer. I myself have 5 of the Mophie Juice Pack Air cases for when I travel overseas and I find them my most valuable accessory. With the change in form factor, I'm scrambling to find a proper replacement.     Most external batteries are meant for mobile phones and don't provide enough power. It may charge, but very slowly.

  • Mophie Juice Pack Charging Questions

    I just upgraded to an iPhone 6+ and am putting it in a Mophie Juice Pack.  The Juice Pack has a lightning fitting that goes into the iPhone when inserted, but the Juice Pack itself uses the older micro USB.  The Pack comes with a micro USB to USB cable for charging both the phone and Juice Pack from your computer.
    Questions:
    1.  Does this mean any 2.1 amp wall charger (like the one supplied with the phone) will work and not damage anything?
    2.  Will any USB car charger/adapter also work without damaging anything?
    I think the answers to both of these questions is yes, but I thought I'd ask.  If I have to be careful, what brands of wall and auto chargers do you recommend?

    you are totally safe using the 2.1amp charge with your juice pack and a micro USB cable.
    Just do NOT use the cheap $3-5 chargers or the really cheap crazy thin cables as they don't have the over charge protection or shielding that is required for this power draw.

    I have a Mophie Juice Pack Plus for my IPhone 4S.  Is is better to run the Mophie down keeping the phone charge up or run the phone charge down first then  recharge with the Mophie.  Does the phone battery get weaker after so many charge cycles like the Mophie and other external chargers and boosters.
    I am able to keep a 100% charge on the phone battery at all times, I have 2 Mophie's I swap them out when they run out keeping my Iphone fully charged at all times. Will this hurt the internal phone battery?

    From a heat perspective... run the phone battery down first.  The phone and Mophie heat up too much when it is charging the phone, leaving the Mophie in charging mode all the time could result in damage or a shortened life for the iPhone.
    I generally left my iPhone get to about 30% charge before turning on the Mophie.
