Hello All,
JUST AN FYI...
More bars... in more places? Yes. But...
Make sure you are checking your dBm signal strength. I did the 2.1 upgrade and my son did not. I had 1 more bar than he did on the way to school. We usually have 4 bars, but after the 2.1 update I now have 5. But we had the same dBm signal on both phones? Hummmmm...

More accuracy compared with what though? Their Marketing Department? Oh me of little faith!
Suppose that Apple calibrated the display to be a bit more conservative. And suppose a Nokia handset receives the tiniest, noisy signal and displays 5 bars (which they have been known to do).
Which is more fair? Seems Apple, but they get raked over the coals next to a Nokia.
If you were Apple, what would you do?
There is no standard whatsoever as to what signal level or S/N corresponds to 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 bars. It's totally arbitrary.
Forget about counting bars and use the phone. If you are still experiencing dropped calls or cannot initiate or receive calls then you have a legitimate issue.

For the past year i was part of Verizon and I never had a problem with coverage and signal strength. But now, I swing from 4 to 1 to occasional drop out in my apartment with AT&T. This morning I went to Target and had "no service" while inside. Is this a problem with the iPhone or AT&T?
I know this is the first generation of the phone, but im sure when this thing was in testing, someone must have noticed the weak signal, especially when having a phone company that advertises "fewest dropped calls" and "more bars in more places".
Would all the new iPhones jumping on the cell towers have something to do with it?

As I provided with my previous post, I wouldn't get too hung up on the number of bars with 3G access.
There is a restaurant near my house that I frequent. Reception with my first generation iPhone inside this restaurant was always one or two bars. The restaurant has a metal roof which affects reception which significantly improves when stepping outside. EDGE access speed was noticeably slower than normal most of the time when inside.
With my 3G iPhone, it indicates one bar of reception when inside this restaurant but this has no noticeable effect on internet access speed via 3G. When I step outside and 3G reception jumps to 3-4 bars, internet access speed is probably a little bit better, but not noticeable. I can't tell any difference.
I can carry on a conversion with one bar of reception with 3G access with little or no static at times, but not the same with one bar of reception with EDGE. And I can place or receive a call when actively accessing the internet via 3G access - one bar of reception or 5 bars of reception, or anywhere in between which isn't possible when connected via EDGE.

The inactive iPhone and that last AT&T bill with ETF will be a bit of a tough nut, but totally worth it when it is like somebody just added a tower next to your house. Going from 0-1 bars in the house and no 3G within probably an hour to just full coverage in our house alone is night and day.
Can't wait to start test driving it, pairing it with the car and go places without losing coverage. I would bet money it is not going to drop a single call on the commute where AT&T could drop it 3-4 times.
This is going to relieve so much coverage stress ... if only we had this 3-4 years ago. But you can't have it all, at once.

I am not sure, but you can try this
1. Define one more UOM for example 4dec then in MM02 give the conversion of 4dec to your 3 decimal, give conversion in it. for eg 10*3dec = 4 dec
2. Now when you define bom enter quantity in 3dec(i,e, multiplying by 10) and then convert the uom in BOM to 4dec

I have written the below query to find records with more than 2 decimal places, but it is returning records with decimal places 1 & 2.
The datatype of the AMT column is NUMBER (without any precision).

Wifi works on iPhone but not MacBook with more bars!

so, sitting in the same spot my MacBook Pro has 4/4 bars but the wifi only works for five seconds at a time (not literally but it feels like it), then I have to disconnect and reconnect. My iPhone has 2/3-3/3 bars and the wifi works great! why is this? Shouldn't the MacBook have better reception as its bigger/has more power? Why does it show more bars than the iPhone but hAbe a worse connection?

Start up in Recovery mode. In the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. General advice:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

On my mac I can play the songs with iTunes minimized.
The reason why, is I want to sync my iphone with my mother's computer at her house, and put some sound effects on her library. Then I want to turn her itunes on and minimize it and wait until she starts working on her pc and then I can play some practical jokes on her making her computer make weird noises (sound effects on itunes).

That depends what you mean. If you mean can you purchase from more than one iTunes account on the Apple TV, then the answer is no. If you mean can you stream from more than one iTunes library, which use different accounts, then the answer is yes, so long as they both use the same ID and password for homesharing.

I'm guessing "ash" is the silver colored keyboard, the same color as the rest of the MBP? If so, that machine, with the optical drive slot on the front, is the older machine.

CRM gurus,
Whenever I try to create a Counter, I receive the following warning which doesn't allow me to do anything further..
"value cannot have more than 0 decimal places"
I first received this when I tried to assign a counter to a product in an Installed Base. So when I tried creating a counter here, I got the above message. I then tried to assign a counter to the product in the product master data, and I still received the same error message. I then tried creating a counter from the "Maintain Counter" screen (Transaction Code: crm_mpk_admin), and still received the same error message.
In this effort I created my own custom Counter Category, and Attributes. Nothing helped.
Could someone throw some light on this concept and tell me where am I going wrong.

when i have a contact in iphone and i add more mobile numbers than just one, they do not pass through to outlook 2007. i realize this is because there is no room in outlook for more than 2 (if i remember correct) mobile numbers,but is there a workaround?

I've got the same problem but with a "4 number" limit. Many of my outlook contacts have more than 4 numbers associated with them but the iPhone contacts app only shows/syncs 4 numbers. Any way to increase this limit on the iphone?

Hi yes that works well when the new ipad hasn't been used. Trouble new one has been used for two months or more, has lots photos email etc etc. I am worried that these will go. When we did iPhone thru same process finished up with two of most things pics and emails. The emails alone were over 2 thousand and wife reluctant to delete them all. I would and just sort pics. Any other ideas
