More cloud storage options...
I own 4 IOS mobile devices, 2 iphones, 2 ipads, 2 Macbook laptops, and am also a mobile me account holder. I like sharing between my devices, but would like to know why i don't get 5 GB's of data per device plus my 20 GBs for Mobile Me. I'm limited to 2
For one, it would be difficult to operate. For example, what would happen when you sold one of your devices. Secondly, I don't quite understand why you think having more devices would mean that you'll have more data.

Available Space on your Device is different to iCloud Space.
More than likely you need to make more Space available on your Device.
You will need to Delete some things from it to enable the Download. -
Adobe gave me 50Gb more cloud storage 8-5-14 and now today I'm back down to 20Gb. I called and chatted all day and no one knows anything about it because adobe doesn't sell additional storage. Dropbox is expensive for graphic artists who need tons of storage. Ideas?

I have discovered that you can delete music from your library, and if you have a iCloud account, it is backed up on the Cloud, and thus decreases the amount of space used. I began to delete albums, and after hitting the "delete" red button, the song remained and an "iCloud" icon was place in the row. I can still play the song, but the space is not used on my pad. Does this sound familiar, or would you confirm?

I would like people to access a radio show I have on a USB from my website. I have been recommended two cloud storage options: soundcloud and audioboo. Which one do you recommend?
How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

I purchased more cloud space but since then have not been able to back up. I press back up and it says back up starting and it says time for back up but nothing happens. No time given and no back up done.
I tried the steps to reformat my external Hdrive, creating a partion etc using GUID partition scheme.
still nothing. Every hour Time Machine starts up says preparing, then stops and no back ups are made.

HT4847 How to free up more cloud storage space on my iPad.
To free up more storage space on my cloud I deleted loads of pictures, movies, apps, etc. I can't figure out how to get the cloud to open up the space I think I created. What am I missing. I drove an hour to the closest Apple store for answers, thought I had it when I left, now nothing seems to have made a difference. I must be missing something critical. Help...

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities Forum. Normally what I see in regard to backup issues with iCloud storage space has to do with photos and videos taken with the iOS device. I would recommend importing this media to your computer and deleting it off the device. You can resync this media once you have it safely stored on your computer. I have provided a couple articles that will help you with this issue. This first article I am including goes over what data is backed up. The second article will show you how to import your pictures to your computer for safe keeping. The last article, is just some basic information on how to manage your iCloud storage.

Can I use an iTunes card to pay for more cloud storage?
I am wanting to purchase more iCloud memory for the iPads my students use in my classroom but to do that I need to be able to use a Purchase order so I was wondering if I could buy an iTunes card and purchase more iCloud memory with that. Thank you!!
Yes, you can. Note that iCloud storage is separate from that on the devices themselves; if there isn't enough space on the devices to do something, their capacity won't be increased by purchasing more iCloud space.

My catalog is larger than 3 gigs. I would like to have more cloud storage. Can I purchase more on my plan?

i just bought more icloud storage, why does it not let me backup my iPhone 5..says i need 1.4 GB of space?..I just bought 10 more in icloud.
I think you are confused. Syncing apps and music to your phone will not get store in the cloud by adding more cloud storage. If you don't have enough space to sync the music and apps, buying cloud storage won't help. If you have a 16GB phone, the phone still only has 16GB for apps and music even if you buy 10 mor GB of cloud storage.

Cloud storage for mac and pc files
I am presently PC user that uses Carbonite for my cloud backup. I am going to be switching to the new iMac soon. I plan on using a Parallel or Fusion so I can continue using Photodex, Quickbooks for PC and Quicken for PC. I understand that Carbonite can only backup either Apple or PC files, not both on the same account. Are there any other cloud storage options that will back up both Apple and PC files?
DropBox dos do it automatically, & outside of their 2 GB fre, I've seen far better deals, but with my slw Internet, I only use local backups, & didn't note those deals.

I just purchased more storage for my phone because I needed a software update and it said I couldn't do it until I purchased more cloud storage, so I did. Now nothing is showing up and still cannot update my software? Does it take time to show up?
Sometimes it does. However, adding more iCloud storage doesn't give you any more space on your phone if that's what you're trying to do. To create more space on your phone, you have to delete of sync something off of it. You could, for example, you could delete all your music, then perform the update, then sync your music back to your phone using iTunes.

You can sync and download many different types of content on your device. Some types of content (such as music and videos) typically take more space than others (such as notes and books). The amount of space taken by an app depends on the app's purpose; complex or graphically intense apps usually take more space than simpler apps.
If your device is near its capacity, you can remove some of the less used content to make room for more.

When you purchase extra cloud storage, does that allow more storage for music, apps, and so forth to be downloaded?
So only documents? it doesnt store pictures, videos, or any of that stuff? or it doesnt store settings to your applications? I just want to know how exactly iCloud can effectively help me with storage because I only have a 16 gb ipod 4s. I have already decided I will not download any music onto it or videos

My phone ran out of iCloud storage. After a week I did an iTunes backup then bought more iCloud storage and now it won't back up with the iCloud.
Do you have sufficient storage now? And did you turn on iCloud backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup?
