More Content for Create Mode

Currently, the vast majority of content in the store is costumes. I would like to see more content that we can use to build levels with (that's what LBP is all about, right?). More creator packs with material, objects, stickers, and decorations would be awesome. Also, I think it would be awesome if a backgrounds pack was released!Additionally, maybe more items for our tools bag could be thrown in (more inators, object tweakers, world tweakers such as weather and stuff like that).Anyway, I think it's safe to say that we have enough costumes to last us for awhile.Bring on the create mode content!

When will movies, TV shows, other content be available for the Canadian users of iTunes?
As it has been said many times, nobody knows until apple announces it. Thats all anybody can say.
Why is it not available now?
Becasue the Canadian contnet owners have not authorized Apple to sell any video content. Its up to them, not Apple.

The other idea is not to commit each call, but executing commit of packages e.g. after 1000 BAPI calls.
But otherwise, I am afraid you can not do a lot about performance of standard BAPI. Maybe there is some customer enhancement which is taking too long inside the BAPI, but this has to be analysed by you. To analyse performance, just execute your program via tr. SE30.

Hi Experts,
I am doing goods movement using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE in my custom code.
Then there is some functional configuration such that, material documents and TR and TO are getting created.
Now I need to get TO and TR numbers from LTAK table passing material documnt number and year, which I got from above used BAPI.
The problem I am facing is very strange.
Only for the 1st time, I am not finding TR and TO values in LTAK table. And subsequent runs I get entries in LTAK in there is a wait time of 5 seconds after bapi call.
I have found 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' takes more time for creating material document with similar issue, but no solution or explanation.
Note 838036 says something similar, but it seems obsolete.
Kindly share your expertise and opinions.

PO for change mode

Hello Gurus,
I have successfully done with PO workflow for create mode..now i have to create this PO wf for change mode too,
so my question is should i create a different wf by taking different event for change mode, or is there any other way to do change PO wf with this create PO wf.

Just check how your workflow is linked ro event which is triggered when the PO is created.
Similarly you can have another event when the PO is chnaged and set this vent in the triggering event section of the current workflow. So when this new event is triggered this same workflow will get triggered.
Its totally depend on you how you want to trigger the workflow.
similarly you may have to consider the case what if the po is created and a workflow is triggered abd yet to complete and at teh same time sone one chnaged tht PO, should it trigger new workflow or exisiting workflow is looped back.

Photoshop or Illustrator - for creating digital art?

So, I want to create digital arts like the link provided below. I just don’t know if Photoshop or Illustrator is the right tool. Money really isn’t an object when it comes to art, but uh, which one is more designed for creating digital artwork?

Ultimately I would say photoshop is your best bet. You can do the hard lines, shading and blending for this type of thing fairly easily in photoshop compared to illustrator if you know how. Most web comic artist I know who do their work in color usually use photoshop to produce exactly this type of look. For examples look at Katbox.net/laslindas or 2kinds.com

Run page at create mode

Hi friends,
I use jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 with jheadstart 10.1.3.When I create pages with jheadstart 10.1.2,I create (for example) CreateLogin page and I run my application in this page.But in jheadstart 10.1.3 it doesnt create CreateLogin page.When I run project in StartLogin page I must press new button then it opens in create mode.I want to run it in Create mode and its my first page so I dont want to press any button to pass for create mode.Thanks for all.....

While i succeeded in display the page in create mode, i have a requirement to display/hide fields ih this page which is in Create Mode, according to the value of one of them. This field is a DropDownList and while the selection of the user changes, some fields on the page should hiddden, other should be displayed.
To achieve this i used item regions. The trick with Depends on Item, Clear/Refresh Value and having an expression in Display in Form Layout, works very well when in other Form (not in Create Mode) and after pressing the Update Button while in Table View => going to Form/Update Page. If i try to do this in the page in Create Mode, i get the following Exception:

Recommendations, samples, etc for creating a "Vendor Invoice" Content Type.

I am developing a "Vendor Invoice Approval" application in SharePoint 2013. My development platform is "Visual Studio 2013". This will be an "Intranet only" application running only on our internal SharePoint
2013 Farm.
I am planning on using a "Document Library" to store all of the Invoices. I believe the "correct" approach (or one of many, probably, lol) would be to create a "Content Type" called "Vendor Invoice". The "content
type" would then need to have the following functionality:
Custom Columns. Some columns would be "required", some would be "optional".
Vendor Name - Chosen from a “Vendors” list (a SharePoint "custom" list that contains "Vendor Name" and "People Responsible" (which will be a "People" type column and allow multiple choices/people from
a SharePoint Group called "Vendor Invoice Person Responsible"). The user may also enter a new Vendor Name.
Person Responsible - Limited to the users in the “Vendor Invoice Person Responsible” SharePoint Group. Will allow the selection of 1 or more "people" from that Group. (When a Vendor Name is "chosen" (above), this field
should be populated with the values from the "People Responsible" record for that Vendor. The user can then ONLY choose between those users or choose them all. Optionally, I may just store a single Person in the "Vendors" list and use that
to populate this field with a "default" value, but then allow the user to pick ANY user from the "Vendor Invoice Person Responsible" SharePoint Group).
Invoice Number (Will probably renamed the “Title” column.)
Invoice Date
Invoice Amount
PO Number (When entered, look it up in our ERP system and populate as many fields as possible, such as the Vendor Name, Account Number and Plant.)
Status - Most likely this field will only be adjusted via "workflows". Choices are:
“Created” – The initial Status when an Invoice is created (BEFORE any “Issue” or “Approved”).
"Pending Issue" - An "Issue" needs to be resolved. (See "Issue" below.)
“Issue Resolved” – The current “Issue” has been resolved. The next status could be “Pending Issue” (if there is another Issue to resolve) or “Approved”.
“Approved” – All Issues have been resolved.
“Issue Check” – The Invoice was “Approved” and a check may now be issued to the Vendor.
“Completed” – The Invoice has been “Approved” and the vendor has been issued a check.
Issue - Chosen from an “Invoice Issues” list (a SharePoint "custom" list that contains "Issue" and the name of a "WorkFlow" to execute on the "Invoice" in order to resolve that particular "Issue").
When an Issue is chosen, this will trigger a "Workflow" (or more than one?? probably only one...) to start.

I am more familiar with it and "believe" it will give me the most "power" and "flexibility". As I said.... I am unsure how to "categorize" the following "needs", so I am just going to lump the rest of the "features"
I need into the list below and ask for any feedback and/or help. :)
Adding Invoices - Ideally, the "drag and drop" feature will (can) be utilized by the user to add the new Invoices (I can force them to only add one Invoice at a time). If this is just "too much trouble", I
could require the user to only add them using the "Upload Document" control. Or, I could develop the UI (or just the Insert/Update UI) using traditional "ASP .Net" controls and insert/update the data using the Server
Object Model or the Client Object Model (CSOM).
Preview Invoices - There are several times I would like to show the Invoice (pdf) as a "preview" (when the Invoice is being Added or Edited, when the user is "Approving" or "Denying"
on Invoice via a "WorkFlow", or when an Invoice is "hovered" over in a Document Library View). Basically, anytime the Invoice needs to be acted on by a user, I would like to show the PDF in a "preview" window and
I don't mean just open it in a separate Tab or Window. I mean use something like an "IFrame" in a certain area of the page (depending on what the page is doing: Inserting/Editing/Viewing/etc) to show that preview. (For the "hover
preview", I believe I can use the same skills I learned when modifying how the "Enterprise Search Center" works with PDFs. Basically, it involved adding a new Display Template for the Search Item and referencing that template
in a new "Search Result Type". The new Display Template created an "IFrame" and populated it using our Office Web App Server via "WOPI". Anyway, I believe I can simply do the same thing in a Document Library View and most
likely in whatever "form" or "page" is responsible for the Insert/Edit. I suppose I am just looking for someone to tell me if this is "doable" (and as "easy" as I think it might be), what the "best"
way to accomplish it would be, or if it is a bad idea, etc. etc.)
"Auto Populate" the columns. When a new Invoice is added, I would like to use the (Enterprise) Search functionality (OCR and "graphic matching") to somehow populate as many of the columns (metadata) as possible.
This might involve looking for some particular "text" or graphic(s) (like a company logo?) to determine the Vendor. Then, once the Vendor is determined, I might be able to figure out other items, such as the "Invoice Number" and "PO".
Usually our Vendor Invoices don't change very often. This would only serve as "default" values, so it wouldn't have to be 100% correct. Anything I can do to save the user time or make it easier to enter new Invoices will go along way towards
acceptance of this application. (Currently, they use an Excel Spreadsheet, along with email. So, from their point of view, the existing "system", "works" and is very "easy" to use, etc....)
More uses for the "Search Index Results". It would also be "nice" if we could setup some "weighted rules" on a "per Vendor" basis to help determine who the "responsible user" is. (For instance,
we may get Invoices from a single Vendor that could possibly go to 1 of several "responsible users". In order to determine the correct user, I would like to setup some "rules" for each vendor to give "weighted" values to
certain "keywords". For instance, if the word "Computer" appears on the invoice, that might be worth "100 points" towards the "IT Manager". So, when the user is selecting the person responsible for this particular invoice,
I could order the list they are choosing from by the "total points" (as calculated from the "weighted rules") which would put the "Person" who is most "likely" the "Person Responsible" at
the top of the list, followed by the second most likely, and so on. I don't think this be that "hard" to do. I would simply need to store "keywords" and "values" and have access to the "Search Index Results" for the
document (Invoice) the user is currently adding.
**Another "option" I have for developing this application is to basically develop it using a traditional "ASP .Net" framework and controls (which I definitely have more experience with, but as I mentioned, I also
have quite a bit (4-5 years) of SharePoint development experience) and just using the "out of the box" features of SharePoint (and Custom Lists, Document Libraries, SharePoint Security Groups, WorkFlows), etc. What I am trying to describe is that
I would develop the "UI" (add/change/delete) using traditional "ASP .Net" controls and just use SharePoint for my "Data Source". (I DO need to AT LEAST use SharePoint as the "Data Source". This is for reasons that

You should generate the XSD form the DTD files. Also you should list values unless necessary. XMLSpy is good tool I use.
You can send the XML schema file to me if you can't register it to XML DB. I will help you take a look.

What are the basic steps for creating a content repository?

I am trying to create a document store on a file system (fsdb) that will hold files that are ftp's to that location. Is this possible using KM? If so, what are the basic steps for creating a file system repository and using it through KM? I have found stuff on help.sap.com but that only tells you what each component does not what actual steps need to be taken to setup KM, such as user rights , creating an entry point, so that all of KM is not visible, etc...
If anyone knows of any guides that show a step by step process that would be great too.

Hi Paul
First of all you need to create a new repository
Suppose you want to add all the documents under folder Paul under C: Drive
(Even you can put whole documents of C: drive into Paul)
Navigate to System Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge management -> Content Management -> Repository Manager -> File System Repository
There you can create a new directory by clicking on button New
Give the parameters as follows :-
Name               :           Anything you like
Description       :           Anything you want
Prefix (must start with /) : Probably same as your repository name like \Paul
Lookup mode : caseless
Root Directory   : C:\Paul
NOTE: This is the trick. You need to give the proper path means folder path which you want use as repository)
Repository Services : Any services you want
Property Search : Managercom.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.generic.search.SimplePropertySearchManager
Security Manager         :           AclSecurityManager
ACL Manager Cache   :           ca_cm_rep_acl
The save it
Now see whether the same repository is coming under KM Content or not, if not may be after restart it will come.

I just read that apple is providing updated printer driver packages sometimes (they just released packages for samsung, canon, gestedner etc.) so it seems they do take care about these issues.

As at the time of this writing,
I suggest you have a look at Flash Assist by AntMobile
(www.antmobile.com)
It will allow you to view Flash content at full screen.
It officially supports Flash 5 and 6, but I've used it with
Flash 7 for the PPC.
Flash 7 for the PPC supports AS 2.0
Macromedia hasn't released a stand alone player /
distribution Kit, or CDK for Flash Player 7 for the PPC, and I am
anxiously awaiting that as well.
However, the stand alone player for the Flash Player 6 for
the PPC is available
You will want to change your publish settings to Flash 7,
AS2.0

"Layouts" Panel no longer working in "Create" Mode for photobook

I have been trying to make a photobook. Due to the large size, and therefore suuuper slowness of the computer, I have mostly been opening and working on individual pages only. I generally open the entire photobook only to change the picture layout for a given page since that function isn't available to me when I work on the pages individually. (When I originally saved my project, a separte folder was created with files for individual pages. I found that by opening one of those, i was able to work on only 1 page, which helped the program run a lot quicker, and any changes I made to individual pages were reflected in the overall photobook)
However, for some reason while working on the entire photobook in "Create" mode, nothing shows up when I click on the "Layouts" panel on teh bottom right. I can skim through the pages, and open the Graphics, but when I click "Layouts" the side-bar stays grey.
Is there a way to fix this?

If you look at the FM Update/Download web page, there was a fix for Zapf Dingbat problems years ago that you could try, but if I were you, I'd trash what sounds as if it's a corrupted or incompatible font file and update with an Open format Dingbat font....

Creating DRM-Protected Content for Playback in Quicktime

I would like to create some protected audio content, not for sale, but so that only authorized persons can listen to it. Since I have had problems with Windows Media DRM, I am wondering whether a private person can create DRM-protected content that Quicktime can play back. I don't know how authorizations would work and I am not intending to stream the content, just to make it available for download.
Does anyone know about this? Any ideas? A series of Google searches on Apple's website produced nothing relevant.

Sorry, but there is no scheme for creating copy protection in a QuickTime file, at least none that are practical. There was Media Keys, but that was only supported by the SorensonVideo 3 codec. Apple has not made the DRM they use for the iTunes Store available to other users.
The only way I can think of to copy-protect a QuickTime file for a web site would be to either put the download on a password-protected web page or wrap the QuickTime file in a password-protected archive of some format (Stuffit can password-protect an archive and there are probably other solutions as well).
