There are some cool stationery templates in the new Mail.
Is there some place online you can download more templates?

  • Mail Stationery the te

    I tried to use the Mail Stationery to send a mail to a relative. All those templates look great but... I typed more text than possible and the template just gives me this sound that there are no more actions to do. That is annoying if you can only type as much as fits in the text field. It only does that on the Stationery Tack Board... I guess I'll just use a different one. But all the other ones don't have as many Photo Paceholders...

    And BUAH! I don't like this! Mail has so many bugs! I saved a Mail as a draft and I had a Subject, Pictures and a Recipient. I klick on Save Draft and it does nothing. Then, when I close it, it asks me to save. I klick on Save and whoops! All my Pictures are gone and the Recipient disappeared. Same thing with the Subject! What is wrong with this?? Apple! Fix! Now!
    ... please?

  • Custom mail stationery

    I am trying to create a custom mail stationery. This seems to me very complex and unnecessarily so.
    Problems
    Folder location
    I cannot locate the folder where customer tmeplates are located. There are various posts but the directories suggested do not exts even after saving a customer stationery file.
    This location suggesteed by Chris
    ~Library > Application Support > Mail > Stationery > Apple > Contents > Resources > Custom > Contents > Resources >
    does not exist on my mac.
    This dose but dos not contain any customer stationery that I can see...
    Mac HD>Libary>Application Support>Apple>Mail>Stationery>Apple>Contents>Resources>Stationery> ...then Various Folders that match standard Stationery
    Images
    These do not attach to save as stationery.
    Any help would be approciated...

    Use stationery in messages
    You can add a personal touch to a message by using stationery. For example, if you’re inviting friends to dinner, you can use the Dinner stationery to make your message look like a professionally printed invitation.
    Apply a stationery template
    In the New Message window, click the Stationery icon in the toolbar.
    To view the template choices, click a category, such as Announcements.
    To use a template, click its thumbnail.To try a different template, click another thumbnail.
    You can change the background color of some templates by clicking the thumbnail. For example, click the Daisies thumbnail several times to see different background colors.
    After you decide on a template, click the Stationery icon again to see more of the message area.
    If the template contains placeholder images, drag images from your desktop or the Finder over a placeholder.
    If you have images on your Mac from using Aperture, iPhoto, or Photo Booth, click the Photo Browser icon in the message toolbar to view and select those images.
    You can drag any folder of images onto the Photo Browser so that the images are easily accessible.
    If the image is larger than the placeholder photo, double-click the image to display a slider you can use to zoom in on an area of the photo. You can also drag the image around to show a specific area.
    If you use a template often, add it to the Favorites category. Drag the thumbnail over the category list. To remove a favorite, select it and click Remove (x).
    Remove stationery
    To remove a template from your message, click the Original thumbnail in the Stationery category.
    Any text, images, or formatting you added is retained.
    Create your own stationery
    In a new message, enter and format your text, add images, and then choose File > “Save as Stationery.”
    Your custom stationery will be available in the Custom category, at the end of the list.

  • Ironing the bugs out of a custom Mail Stationery

    So I'm making a custom Mail Stationery for myself. It's pretty set up the way I want to look. It looks good when I'm sending it, and to someone else who uses the Mail client, it looks like it's supposed to as well.
    In Gmail's web interface, it doesn't work. Basically, Gmail misinterprets the images I use for the template as attachments, and displays them as so, rather than using them for the interface.
    Here's the source code I'm using:

  • Mail Stationery Templates are in Latin?  How do I get them to English?

    I've searched and searched and finally reached the end of the internet with no answer! All my mail stationery templates default to Latin. How do I get them to default to English. HELP!

    it's not Latin. It's Lorem Ipsum
    http://www.lipsum.com/
    It's a placeholder text without any meaning.

  • Custom mail stationery missing...

    While I have the stationery in Mail, it does not appear to be where it should be. I read the following article: http://www.jdempsey.com/how-to-create-customized-osx-mail-stationery-in-leopard/
    The thing is none of the stationery templates are anywhere to be found. I've searched for it with Spotlight but found nothing.
    I created a template in Mail called "iantest" and it saved by default in
    Mail>Stationery>Apple>Contents>Resources>Custom>Contents>Resources
    Perhaps I can modify content.html in my "iantest" file, but then would the images be embedded and would there be any placeholders?
    Do you know where the Mail stationery is?

    mail stationery is located in yourharddrive/library/application support/apple/mail/stationery/apple/contents/resources/stationery/contents/reso urces.
    first path is yourharddrive, not homefolder.
    hope this helps

  • Installing New Mac Mail Stationery Templates

    I'm trying to install a custom stationery template into my Mac Mail which I believe should be placed here.
    Library > Application Support > Mail > Stationery > Apple > Contents > Resources > Custom > Contents > Resources
    However, there's no "Mail" folder within my "Application Support".
    If you have any suggestions, I'd be most grateful.
    Thanks, in advance.

    Back to the original problem:
    I'm trying to install a custom stationery template into my Mac Mail
    Who from, and did they provide an installer?
    The reason I ask is that I recently downloaded and installed a set of stationery templates for Mail from
    http://www.jumsoft.com/stationery/
    They work perfectly. The installer put them at the location I mentioned, but I have no idea whether the installer created that subfolder where I found them.
    Worth checking.

  • Mail Stationery and HTML

    Hi there,
    Is there someone who knows if I can use a HTML-page (that I created in iWeb) as a new mail stationery? I need to make a newsletter for my company, but the standard stationery is not statisfying for me and i need a stationery that includes pictures in the text and not as a header or a footer.
    Thanx!
    iMatts

    Okaaaaay, we are getting close, but still ... not the result that's needed
    The header picture is fine and looks great, but the pictures and text in the content area are not editable or changeable. A rectangular box is shown with the 'X' to close it on the upper left corner.
    I think using HTMLs from iWeb for email stationery should be something easily do-able, because it is both HTML and a great way to personalize your emails ... (hope Cupertino is reading this :)).
    Anyone else who succeeded in this topic ???

  • How to set up more mail folders for example "saved"?

    I have an iPad 2. Question is: How do I set up more mail folders? All there is now is " in box, sent and trash".

    This is one of the major limitations of Mail on iPad. To make things worse for POP accounts, the Inbox cannot hold more than 200 emails... I have been trying to save incoming email in the Sent mailbox, but this does not seem to work well.
    Some of the unclear details:

  • Mail Stationery options

    Is there anywhere else to get new stationery for mail? The options are so limited and boring after awhile. Especially looking for Holiday Sentiments

    I did a quick Google search for Apple Mail stationary and came up with a huge number of hits. Just a few of the ones I found -

  • Can't find the custom mail stationery folder since upgrade to Lion

    I have some custom mail stationery items I created in Leopard and have since upgraded to Lion when it was released.  Today I went to edit one of my custom ones and the folder was no longer present in the old location at
    User folder/Library/Application Support/Mail/Stationery/Apple/Contents/Resources/Custom
    I have searched everywhere looking for the 'custom' folder but can't find it.
    Problem is that mail still is showing them as if they still exist (and can use them) but I can't find where they are.   I decided to try creating a new template to see where it stored it but I can't find it anywhere and definitely not in the usual place.
    Can someone please point me in the right direction .. I'm pulling my hair out!!!!

    Binaut's answer is great.  However, how I was able to successfully move and place my custom stationery packages so they would show up in the "CUSTOM" category in a new mail using stationery took a different path. I had to place it in the SYSTEM Library FIRST. Of course I made the changes to the Table of Contents.plist and all that. AFTER I placed the package in the System/Library/Application Support etc. (the traditional place for templates) Mavericks Magically created the CUSTOM folder automatically and everything worked.
    If I'm off on this, please let me know.
    Below is a link to a new discussion I've started.
    Hope this works for you!  There's also a link to a good tutorial on creating your custom stationery in the first place.
    Best to you!

  • How do I Expand the Text Box in Mail Stationery?

    I have a question about using stationery in Mail. Is there anything I can do to make the text box in certain templates to hold more content? It seems that, in some templates (like Bamboo, for example), the text box expands automatically as more content is keyed in. Yet, in the Tack Board template, for example, the text box does not expand beyond what seems to be a fixed length for content. How can I get the text box in Tack Board to expand for additional content?

    Please check text input state defined , also if the form is inserted in any container then try to test out the form with different text input boxes in a new page.
    Additionally , check the mid-hieght of text inserted in frame.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • How to create/modify custom/standard mail stationery inleopard 10.5.1?????

    Hi everybody !!
    I am beginner and I am more than willing use my own stationery or templates or email designs I don't know the right expression...

    what I know is to do my own emails with my imac having leopard 10.5.1 latest mail software installed on the machine and use my photoshop, flash and dreamweaver I have on my old imac G4 to do the job and then transfert it to my new imac 24" with mail application inside leopard 10.5.1 !!
    so as really not expert in html really much better with flash could you do a diagram or synoptic for peoples like me they understand better your explanations with example :
    Where to go on the machine to find it ????

    Hi crisware. I haven't forgotten about you. The instructions on how to do this are actually VERY involved and it will take some time to list them here for you. Don't worry though, while they are very involved, they are not very hard once you understand the main idea behind them. I will do my best to post them here for you some time within the next week. There are several websites with good tutorials also, including Apples site for developers +(although that might be a little 'techy' for most people)+. Rest assured that as time permits I'll post as much information on the topic for you as I can Maybe we can use this thread as a resource for other people interested in the same topic.

  • Mail says can't get more mail user folder full.

    i have been getting this message often and had found a suggestion on removing an envelope in the mail folder which I did and it seemed to have solved the problem for a couple of weeks. I can easily get 600 emails a days, different mac email groups that I subscribe to and there are time I don't get to my mail for 3 or four days and never get the message. I logged on this morning and there was the message that I had to much mail and needed to remove mail or make space in my user folder. I closed down mail came back up went off line and I only had 115 emails in my primary account and 28 emails in my hotmail account. I checked he three trashes and had 471 total item in all trash folders.
    What is going on.. how do I fix this. Are other people experiencing this same problem? It seems to have come about around 10.4.6 and the security update about that time.

    A couple of years ago I received a batch of emails that I had
    already received, and read, about 18-24 months earlier. Where were
    they all that time? Why did Earthlink send them to me again after that
    long delay?
    I don't believe Earthlink sent these again since any messages available on the server are downloaded from the server by an email client such as the Mail.app.
    What is your setting in Mail for removing messages from the server when downloaded which is available at Mail > Preferences > Accounts under the Advanced tab for the account preferences?
    I don't believe this is an issue with what occurred here. More than likely, this was caused by corruption to the account's Inbox mailbox and these messages already downloaded from the server and removed from the server when downloaded reappeared in the account's Inbox mailbox only as new unread messages which were not properly or completely deleted (if these messages were previously deleted from the account's Inbox mailbox) or not properly or completely removed if some or all of these messages were transferred to a user created "On My Mac" location mailbox.
    How often do you use the Rebuild Mailbox function on the most active mailboxes such as the account's Inbox and Sent mailbox?

  • Please help, how to send mails faster / send more mails per hour

    hello,
    in my application i am using mail sender class i have created to send mail to the users to participate in a survey. following is the code for it. i would like to know if there is anything wrong in it coz it takes to much time to send the mails it is taking 2 minustes to send 6 mails i.e 360 mails per hour only.
    following is how i instantiate the mail sender class and then generate a http link string dynamically as it is different for all the user.
    //////////class where mail sender is instantiated////////////////////
    try
    setConnection();
    st=con.createStatement();
    rs=st.executeQuery("select * from "+CNAME+"_campaign");
    String SurveyT = new String();
    while(rs.next())
         SurveyT = rs.getString(2);
    rs.close();
    rs=st.executeQuery("select * from "+CNAME+"_user");
    ss = new MailSender();
    while(rs.next())
         String userid = rs.getString("userid");
         String password = rs.getString("password");
    StringBuffer message = new StringBuffer(BodyText.getText().trim());
    if(SurveyT.equals("invitational") || SurveyT.equals("single"))
                                            message.append( "\n" + "http://"+IPadd.getText().trim()+"/"+CNAME+"/servlet/login?username="+userid+"&passw="+password);
                                            ss.send(FromField.getText().trim(),userid,SmtpServerID.getText().trim(),MailSub.getText().trim(),message.toString());
    else if(SurveyT.equals("general"))
    message.append( "\n" + "http://"+IPadd.getText().trim()+"/"+CNAME+"/Index.html");
    ss.send(FromField.getText().trim(),userid,SmtpServerID.getText().trim(),MailSub.getText().trim(),message.toString());
    st.close();

    Lots of variables here....Also my maths says only 180 per hour.... i.e. three a minute.
    1) you are using a database to get info from. What is the average response time of the DB server? Looks like you are doing one SQL then reading the result table but does the initial SQL take a while?
    2) how much data are you passing on to the SMTP server and how fast/slow is the link to that SMTP server? Work out the absolute max amount of data you can transfer over the link then get your average message size and work out a VERY theoretical Max number of messages a minute. Note that real life might approach 80% of this taking TCP/IP and SMTP overheads into account.
    3) What sort of load is the SMTP server under? If it's busy you will be only getting a fraction of whatever bandwidth is available. Depending on its design it may be trying to deliver the first message you sent it while you are still pumping more messages down to it. SMTP servers may limit the number of connections per minute from another machine in order to defeat a denial of service attack. Your code makes a connection per email so this may have relevence here.
    4) Raw horsepower always helps. When I write stuff to do things like this there is no nice GUI screen etc. Just basic Java that if it has to will write a log if something goes wrong. Maybe just maybe a counter on STD out to show it is still actually doing something. Keep the number of classes used down to the bare minimum. In the old days we used to spend days paring code to the bone - a skill somewhat lost these days.
    Hope this gives you some help in finding the bottleneck.
    Cheers,
    SH
