More missing on iTunes on iPad

I use my iPad for listening to audiobooks. Recently I accidentally hit the "Radio" button on iTunes, and now I can't get back to the audiobook I'm in the middle of. "Audiobooks" should be one of the menu options, but it isn't. There ought to be a "more" button in the menu at the bottom, but it's not there (options listed are Radio, Playlist, Artists, Songs, Albums, Genres, Compilations, and Composers. I tried all of these, but none got me back to audiobooks.).
How do I exit the screen and get to a screen with the menu that includes audiobooks?

I have seen one other thread similar to this in the last few days. I recommended a reset (see below), but the poster never responded, so not sure it will work (but won't hurt anything).
Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

You can sync with one and only one computer/itunes library at a time. If you sync to another it will erase the current content.

You're sure that it completely downloaded? There may be a downloads button at the bottom on the right side of the iTunes Store app if the movie did not finish downloading.
Did you look in there to make sure that it fully downloaded?
You can also search for it. Swipe down from the middle of the home screen to get to the search field at the top of the screen. Type in the name of the movie and see if it shows up. If it appears, you can tap on it and it will begin to play but that will also start the 24 or 48 hour timer that you get to watch a rental once you start it.
If you are not ready to watch the movie, don't tap on it. But if it shows up in the search, you know it's on the iPad so the next thing that I would do is reset the iPad and then look again in the videos app.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

What I was really trying to find out is if there is a limit on switching iTunes accounts - I have a vague memory of reading that changing from one iTunes store account to another was going to be limited in some way, but maybe this is on iTunes itself? I would advise that you not set up a second Apple ID. It's really not necessary - having two Apple IDs won't affect how iTunes works with your iPads - and will just complicate matters. Each iPad will be treated independently and can be set to sync only the items you want on that particular iPad. If you really want to keep the two iPads separate, set up different iTunes libraries and have only those items you want on the related iPad in that library, rather than a different Apple ID. If you plan not to use a computer and just download directly to the iPads, you can again choose what apps and content each iPad gets.
But answering your specific question, you can have content from up to five iTunes Store accounts on any one computer or iPad. To create a new iTunes Store account, you'll need a different email address, and from there you just create the account the same way you did the first one.

Airplay Icon missing from iTunes 11.0.2.26 (PC) and Genius Sidebar

After upgrading to iTunes 11.0.2.26 my Airplay icon is missing. I've tried the simple fix that reportedly works where you switch to mini player, see the Airplay icon and then it stays when you switch to normal mode.
Firstly the icon does appear but it is grayed out and only pops up a volume control. It does not detect, display, or allow you to select output devices, Second, it is still missing from the normal size window.
This has been tried with and without restarting iTunes as well as reinstalling iTunes. I'd go for a downgrade but then it fails to work with the new iPads at all. I discovered that with my first iPad mini where it required an iTunes upgrade.

I figured Id just downgrade to 10.6.3 to get the genius sidebar back afterwards. WRONG, it will not synch or do anything without the newer versions of the iTunes software. Genius sidebar was the best thing about the software and they kept taking it away, brought it back for a few versions, then took it away again. It was and remains my favorite way to shop for new music. The remaining so called genius functions are just plain lame.

I can hit my Airplay devices such as Apple TV and Zeppelin Air with iPads, iPods, and iPhones. Just not from the PC Console where is previously enjoyed it the most. So I know the devices are fine. They are all on the same physical wired and wireless network. Even when I put the Zeppelin on the wired LAN there is no Airplay icon in iTunes on the PC.

NOW! i can tell you in my case it was nothing to do with your router or antyvirus ip connection.
my pc is auto updating every sunday and icon has disappeared on monday i realized this fact and i have started uninstalling windows updates one by one after each uninstall i have restarted PC each time always run itunes and check if airplay icon is back. AND THER SHE WAS fiew windows updates uninstalled and icon is back in itunes
Now i can not remember what Update it was KB28 ..... something i didnt wright it down at the time i hope this will help someone.

Is anyone else getting this error message, "Entitlements are not valid", when trying to sync .ipa file from iTunes to iPad?
The issue I'm having is getting the ipa file that was built by the 'Adobe Flash Packager for Iphone' installed into my iPad.
So, I have a swf file that works and was able to publish it into the Android Market. I then compiled and build the same flash project with the Packager for Iphone into an .ipa file. But when I try and install this .ipa file into my iPad to do my testings, i'm getting the error message.
I would like to test my ipa file in my iPad device before submitting it to the Apple Store.
Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Developing for iphone can be amazingly complicated and frustrating. (even before you start coding). The process of having to create a Certificate, to approving the Certificate, to Assigning the deviceIDs to the certificate, to creating the AppIDs, to creating the provisioning profiles and then creating the .p12 file... is just too tedious.
I solved the problem of the "Entitlements are not valid". The AppID i had set in the iPhone Developer Portal did not match that of the AppID i had set in the Adobe Flash CS5 -> Publish Settings. (ie. com.yourdomainname.yourappname). After I re-entered my AppID and compile, i was able to sync the .ipa file into my ipad.
I wish the error message had been a little more descriptive. Could have saved me a whole day.
I hope this helps others. But my guess is, if you don't set the 40 character device ID correctly, or the email in the signingcertificate correctly, you'll get this same generic error message.

No, it won't work.. the Airports are not media devices.. they have no brains .. no media extensions.. and itunes must be running on a computer.
You can however watch movies from storage but not with itunes..

A lot of it may be artwork. My iTunes is 40,000 songs (213Gb and I have almost 9Gb of artwork - and that's been downsized to 300X300 "web optimized" images too)
Also, there is a discrepancy between the way iTunes shows files size and the way OS X does.
iTunes (most likely because there is also a Windows version) uses "binary" calculations (1mb = 1024kb and so on) where OS X uses "decimal" calculation (1mb = 1000kb and so on).
120gGb in iTunes is 122,880mb. That same 120Gb in OS X is 120,000mb.
The files are the same size, but OS X will show more available space than iTunes will.
Still, artwork and duplicates are the #1 & #2 culprits.
Lastly, the bit rate of your music can be a factor. If everything is 320kbps or more... or Apple Lossless (800kbps+ usually) your music files are a lot bigger than you probably need, unless you're a music professional (DJ or producer). Try converting them down to a bit rate in the area of 160 or 192kbps. 192 is the MAX for anything in my library, because I only use it for home listening.

ITunes and iPad sync

I have recently had to reformat my MacBook Pro internal disk and restore from a time machine backup.
Unfortunately a lot of my music was not in the time machine backup.
Some of the lost music still exists on my iPad.
My question is: what happens when I sync my iPad with iTunes, does it delete the missing songs from my iPad or copy them back into my iTunes library?
My apple id remains the same on both.

The only music that could transfer from your iPad to iTunes is music you purchased from the iTunes Store. To do this transfer, you would have to do File > Device > Transfer Purchases from iTunes' menu when you are doing the sync.
Otherwise, expect the iPad to end up with the music your iTunes library has.
The iPad is not a backup device for your computer.
You must have quite a story that you haven't told us as to how Time Machine does not contain your iTunes library.

If you mean you purchased more iCloud storage, that doesn't expand the amount of storage on your iPhone. iCloud storage only gives you more room for backups, documents, photo sharing, etc. You will still need to remove things from your iPad to give you enough room for the update. You'll need less room if you update via iTunes on your computer than if you update directly on the iPad.
BTW, you posted in the iPod touch forum. For many issues the answers will be the same, but it's usually best to post in the correct forum for your product so that there is no misunderstanding.

List of solutions for airplay icon missing in iTunes 11 (windows)

It seems like there are a lot of problems out there with airplay and iTunes 11. I think it would be great if Apple or someone were to make some sort of diagnostic tool for airplay.
I am starting this thread in an attempt to collect some of the various solutions to the airplay problems. Hopefully, other members of the community will add other solutions that they are aware of.
Problem: Can't find the airplay icon in iTunes 11 for windows
1) make sure you are looking in the right place. The icon will appear to the right of the volume slider in the normal iTunes view. If iTunes can't find any airplay devices, this icon will not be present and the area will just be blank.
2) For me (iTunes 11.0.5.5), I did some system work in Windows 8 64-bit, and installed AdAware, and uninstalled it. I think this reset my firewall settings. The airplay icon was missing from iTunes but I was able to do airplay from my iPad over the network. I searched the start menu for "firewall", started "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security", and in the Inbound Rules list I saw that I had 5 entries that started with "Airport". 2 of them were disabled. I double clicked on each disabled rule, and changed the action from "Block the connection" to "Allow the connection". After hitting ok and doing this for both blocked rules, I restarted iTunes and the airplay icon appeared and everything works fine.
3) A popular solution which has worked for me in the past has been to switch the program to miniplayer view. There you will hopefully see an airplay icon. Some people say you should select each of the entries in the airplay list here in order to get them to "stick." When you switch back to normal view, the airplay icon should remain visible.
4) I have seen someone update their dd wrt (open source based) router firmware and had the problem go away.
5) Some have had luck unplugging their airplay device (ie: receiver) for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.

I've had the issue of no Airplay button for the past few weeks. Strangely, it appeared randomly, but never stuck around for too long before disappearing. However, from reading this thread i uninstalled my wireless driver, and reinstalled from a generic windows search, and also installed Apple's Bonjour service (did this one after the other) and restarted my machine. All seems fine now, and the airplay button is there.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
