More Podcasts Refusing to Download

More podcasts daily are not downloading do to "network connection timed out", I open store fine, and other podcasts still downloading, checked firewall and allowing Itunes, re-installed latest version of Itunes, have gone to podcast site and can download to play but not to transfer to nano...any suggestions?

If iTunes is trying to check for too many Podcasts at the same time, I've seen this message from BBC Podcasts. My solution is to wait until all other Podcasts have finished downloading and then click on *Update Podcast.* On Windows XP, this is in the right-click menu for the Podcast's title. Or try clicking on Refresh at the bottom of the Podcast Library.

  • ITunes refusing to download a podcast episode

I subscribe to four podcasts and I like to download all episodes and keep them to listen to them whenever I want to.
But I am having an issue with an episode of one of my podcasts.
As one can see in the print screen below, the episode 397 of the podcast is not downloaded, and even if I try clicking the cloud button or right-clicking the episode and choosing "download episode", it doesn't download.
I have the lastest version of iTunes, my OS is Win 7 x64 updated.
My podcasts aren't syncing with my iDevices because of the iCloud issues that obliviate all download podcasts that aren't synced.
    Thnak you for any help!

    In my experience;
an episode of a podcast may come from one server to a portable device, and a different server to a desktop. So if I'm correct, that could mean that only the desktop version is not working.
when I have seen an exclamation mark next the Podcast header, clicking on the exclamation mark displays a message saying "the Podcast could not be found on the server", so that is why I suspect that in this situation, it means the episode cannot be located.
iTunes (Apple) does not host Podcasts. The Store simply lists them. If you choose to download an episode of a particular Podcast, iTunes asks the host server to download the episode directly to your Library. It does not go through the iTunes Store.
contacting the Podcast's producers is (in my opinion) the second best method of getting the issue resolved.
the best method for getting the issue resolved (because it involves no effort at all on your part) is do nothing, and wait until someone else sorts out the issue.

  • Why is my HD movie refusing to download any more?

    Hello,
I've been trying to download an HD movie from iTunes since yesterday. I left the computer running all night and the download is still stuck at 450.0 MB out of 4.44 GB.  I have  canceled the download, deleted the temporary files and started again. But once it reaches 450.0 MB it refuses to download any further. There have been no error messages.
    Any suggestions?

It says that my storage disk (Macintosh HD) has the memory. Is that where its downloading to?

  • Certain podcasts won't download err=3259

itunes 8, now 8.01 refuses to download certain larger podcasts. There is no firewall enabled, no norton/antivirus software, and yes, i have checked all of the other relevant information on the discussion boards and tried those that seemed applicable.
anyone have any suggestions? thanks in advance

The same problem is happening to me too. I can't download the video podcasts of the Rachel Maddow Show. I keep getting the message: Internal Server Error. Please check the URl or something like that. When i try to play or download it through apple tv, i get the message "This movie cannot be played". When i try to do the same through my iphone, i get basically the same message. It's been this way since the Christmas holidays and its getting very very irritating. I've been watching the SHow for a while now with no problems whatsoever. But now...I can watch every other podcast except this one. What on earth is going on???

  • I can no longer manually select podcast episodes to download. It automatically downloads the most recent. I have been downloading a few episodes at a time due to the limited memory of my Shuffle. Is there a work-around?

I can no longer manually select podcast episodes to download. It automatically downloads the most recent. I have been downloading a few past episodes at a time due to limited memory of my Shuffle. Is there a work-around for this?

Similar problem here. My Ical refuses to edit or delete events. Viewing is possible, though sometimes the whole screen turns grey. Adding new events from mail is still possible. The task-pane completely disappeared. My local apple technic-centre messed about with disk utility for a bit and than told me to reinstall leopard. I could of course do that, but it seems to me that reinstalling Leopard just to fix iCal events is a bit invasive.
I tried also tried removing everything, installing a new copy of iCal from the leopard-cd, software updates, all to no avail.
At the moment I'm open to all suggestions that do not include a complete leopard reinstall.

  • Listening to Podcast w/o downloading to your PC/MAC

For those who enjoy listening to podcast but hate downloading them via your PC/MAC's iTunes, check this out as it is ipod Touch and Iphone browser-friendly:

It would certainly be great if there is a Podcast Widget

i found that web app earlier this week and was really excited to what it offers. I think a widget would be nice too but more i wish that NPR like did the same. How does the battery last if your using the web app to listen to the podcasts for?

  • Podcasts only partially downloaded

    Hello,
Lately, iTunes has been labeling partially downloaded podcasts as complete and refuses to resume downloading. The particulars of the problem are as follows. I have a very slow internet connection at my home. iTunes will often start downloading podcasts while I'm at home. When I take my computer to work, the downloads are stopped and the episodes are marked as new and complete in the list of podcasts. If I try to "Update podcast", nothing is downloaded. This is annoying, since I have about the first three minutes of all of my favorite podcasts, most of which are an hour or so in length. I have tried pausing downloads before disconnecting my computer from the internet at my house, but they are not in the list of downloads anymore when I check later at work. Any suggestions on how to get iTunes to download the rest of these podcast episodes?
    Thanks,
    Adrian

This question isn't actually answered, but these forums will keep telling me about it until I lie and say that it's answered.

  • HT3281 I can't find the location of the audio podcast that I download throw iTunes

I can't find the location of the audio podcast that I download throw iTunes

If you downloaded it on the iPad then it should be in the Music app under the More button at the bottom of the app (Podcasts should show as an option on that button's popup if there are podcasts in it).

  • IPhone 3 refuses to download mail from one account

I have four mail accounts on my iPhone 3 and just one of them refuses to download emails. I get the messaage 'Downloading 1 of 25' but nothing happens. My Macbook & iPad work fine with all accounts. Restoring the iPhone has not worked. Any suggestions as to how tp solve this much appreciated.

Assuming she’s supposed to be able to send from that address with that outgoing server and that the outgoing server settings are correct (which I don’t know), here are some things that may be worth looking at.
Mail keeps information about outgoing (SMTP) servers in a separate list independently of the mail accounts themselves. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Deleting an account doesn’t remove from the list the outgoing server that was associated with it. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems. Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there — the Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with.
If the problem persists and you have more than one mail account, try moving the account that has the problem to the top of the list in Preferences > Accounts.
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Leave checked (enabled) only the port configuration needed to connect to Internet and Built-in Ethernet (in that order if not the same), uncheck (disable) the rest of network port configurations and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
Try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible (i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc.), or shutting down both the computer and the router/modem used to connect to Internet, restarting, and see whether that makes a difference.

  • Time Capsule refuses to download upgrade? Stops after 5 sec....?

Cannot backup to my Time Capsule.
Time Capsule requiers upgrade, but refuses to download it?? Stops after 5 sec. and blames Air Port tool???

What model TC is it? A1xxx from the base please.
How is it setup in the network?
What kind of internet do you have?
I would say any TC older than 3years do not upgrade firmware.. it will not solve your problem of not being able to backup anyway.
Pull the TC out of the network and do a factory reset. Use connection by ethenet, to redo the setup.. if at all possible setup and connect by ethernet whilst you do the backup.
But need more info to help further.

  • HT6546 How do you get podcast subscriptions to download on my iMac?

I had several podcast subscriptions automatically downloading daily to iTunes on my iMac. When I installed Maverick they stopped and I can't find a way to get them started again. I looked for help on the iTunes site and all it talks about is in connection with a device and nothing about my computer. It tells me to click on things that do not exist and is totally worthless. I tried to resubscribe in the normal manner and it doesn't work beyond downloading a single episode while I wait. it only downloads at the speed of listening to it. How do I get these podcasts started again?

The very first thing you should have done when you got the new External was to change to Mac compatible to Extended and Journaled then all will be well again. Get out the paperwork that came with the Drive and read it.

  • My podcasts won't download from the computer to my ipod touch all of a sudden!

All of a sudden my podcasts won't download from the computer to the ipod touch anymore.  It still downloads changes in music and apps, but it just seems to be podcasts.  Can anybody help me diagnose my problem?

If they are video podcasts, they now appear in the Video app after iOS 5.

I have tried downloading the podcasts on computers that run Windows 7 and Windows 8.  Other podcasts, music etc. download fine.
    iTunes version:  11.3.0.54
I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling iTunes and I have tried unsubscribing and resubscribing to the podcasts.
I don't have trouble getting NPR podcasts from the store. I just can't play them in iTunes.

For additional context and to verify if we are talking about the same behavior.  Here is what the download screen looks like on my iPod:

How can I get this from Apple?  The Verizon FIOS video website was churning on the error message, "Checking device registration status."  It got stuck in a loop. Verizon tech support never came on. Was on terminal "Hold."  Any recommendations?

Never download anything from CNET. The site is untrustworthy and is known to distribute Windows spyware intentionally.
