More productive way to build iPad and iPhone app

Hello,
My app is available in both iPhone and iPad. I was wondering if there was anyway Adobe would come out with a "responsive" iPad version? It seems tedious to build an iPad and iPhone. While I understand the reasons for this process is there a more productive way to go about building these folios?

No. With IOS 5 you will be able to sync/backup wirelessly but it will be over wifi.

My area of interest is in business and economic history. There is a considerable amount of reading and charting. Until the iPad hit the streets, I only considered stacks of books, journals, and downloaded documents, all marked up with highlighters, underlines, and marginal notes.
Most of my PC based work involved MS Office, Endnote, and MS OneNote.
What I would like to do with the iPad and MacBook are the same things (Office, Endnote, OneNote) and add the ability to read and markup all forms of printed materials from books to pdf to webpages.
I cut my teeth on an iPod Touch and have tried a lot of the note taking and reading apps. Without a camera the standard iPod Notes works for short quick notes and long think pieces. I just emailed the content and downloaded the stuff to my PC. Obviously, I do not want to continue at this "non-integrated" level of work.

No. If it states designed for both iPad and iPhone, then it won't run on an iPod touch.

I can't find musics or movies on Itunes store. There are just iPad and iPhone apps. No musics or movies. Just iPad and iPhone options

When I start the itunes store, there are two options on the screen: iPhone and iPad (iPad came set as default). So, when I search musics or movies, I can't find nothing, just some iPad and iPhone apps.

Itunes doe snot sell any apps at a ll for your computer. ONLY for iphone, ipod touch, ipad.
You would have to go to the Mac App Store in order to find apps for your mac.

Syncing ipad and iphone apps

I like the way all of my folders and apps are set up on my iphone and would like the same arrangement on my ipad. Is there a simple was to SYNC to current layout from my iphone and copy it exactly to my ipad?

You will want to sync manually rather than automatically.
When your iPad is connected to your computer and you have iTunes open and running, simply select only the apps that you want to sync by selecting or deselecting (checking or unchecking the boxes) next to the apps that you want on each device. Select the Apps tab at the top of iTunes and under the Sync Apps heading in iTunes, you can even sort your apps by iPad, iPhone, iPad and iPhone, etc.
Just pick and choose which apps you want to sync to each device. I have an iPad and three iPod Touch devices that I sync using the same computer and iTunes library and each device has it's own content.

Updating iPad and iPhone apps

When these devices first appeared, I went crazy and bought and downloaded scores of apps. I use very few of them now.
However, I receive constant reminders in iTunes that I have 20, 30 - even 50 apps that have updates ready.
There is little point in updating apps that I do not use.
Is there any way of culling the unused apps and parking them somewhere on the home computer so that they no longer appear on the mobile device and no longer provoke update reminders?
Who knows whether I may decide to reconsider some of them later. I do not wish to delete them and have to buy them a second time.

I am using Mac OS 10.7.2, iPad and iPhone 1 with IOS 5

When connected to your computer's iTunes you should be able to do File > Transfer Purchases to copy any iTunes and App Store content over to your computer that isn't already on there. You can then delete them from your iPad :
Press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. You cannot delete any of the Apple built-in apps e.g. iPod, App Store, Game Centre etc. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'
Also as long as the apps remain available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy/download them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . Plus there is the iCloud

I'm guessing it's an app that is on both devices. Delete all common apps, reset and see how they run.
Also try clearing your recently used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon until they wiggle
- Continually press the red to delete the apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done
With a quick finger, you can clear this list very quickly.

Why are my iPad and iPhone apps not syncing?

I put an app that is for both iPad and iPhone on my iPhone and it went on my ipad. But when I deleted the app on my iPhone, it was not deleted on my ipad. When I go to ITunes and apps stores under settings, Music, Apps, and Books are are all set ON on both devices. Help! What's wrong and what can I do to fix it?

I may recall that you might have to charge your device in order for the automatic download to work. But I'm not 100% sure, it is worth trying out.

I was just looking at this again and noticed something strange.
Under the iCloud section of the Settings on my iPad, I don't have a "Documents and Data" option. Essentially, every time I use a program that wants to access iCloud for documents, that program's individual settings are reset to not use iCloud.
Any thoughts?

If you have automatic downloads enabled on the iPad then any app that is compatible (e.g. it's not an iPhone only app and you have the relevant iOS version) will be downloaded and installed on it (and similarly for the iPhone and apps that you download on the iPad) - you can't just have it download iPad specific apps. Similarly when you connect to your computer's iTunes if you have it set to (on the device's Apps tab) to automatically sync all new apps, you can't set a distinction there either.

No. Some apps are iPad only and some iPhone only. The Compatibility section on the App description page stated compatibility. For example this app is NOT compatilber with iPod touch

Difference Between iPad and iPhone Apps

Yet recently the new idevice was launched, However, prior to the launch of the ipad, the information that i had (which requires your updates) that iphone apps can too run on ipad too. As the ipad app store was launched later than the hardware.
So, my question is, if i am planning to buy the ipad (which has been launched in india yesterday), will my iphone apps would run on the ipad, especially the games ?

Almost everything that runs on the iPhone will run on the iPad. But in a small window that matches the number of pixels of a 3GS iPhone. You can double the pixels to get it to fit the screen, but some people don't like the pixelaton this causes.
The only things that won't run are things like telephony or photo apps that require use of hardware not present on the current iPad.

I have like most people downloaded heaps of apps and started to pit them in to folders but it takes so long and some don't quite fit the name on the folder you put them in to buy worst of all is I don't have time to sit there and organise it or I forget that I have already made a folder like this one.
So my question is " dose anyone have software or an app that can do all the organising for you?"
Like it puts all photography or games stuf etc in to one file then when that one is full it makes another one and keeps doing it until it has done them all thus organising your entire iPhone/ iPad or even iPod.

I'm fairly sure there is not an app that does that! You can re-name your folders to anything you want thus giving you a jog as to what is in the folder. I organised my iPad/Pod/Phone via the app screen on the computer when plugged in to sync - it was much easier to swicth between screens on the ithingy doing it that way.

You cannot install apps or media from the US to a device with an Apple ID linked to another country's iTunes store.
