More Sort Options in App Store Category Views
I would love to see the ability to sort apps within the various categories of the app store by more than just "Name" and "Release Date"
How about adding these:
Highest Rating
Recently Updated
Price
Most Purchased
I'd like to see a bit of grouping ala iTunes
Group by Release Year
Group by Rating
Group by Price
free
< $5
$5 - $10
etc...
Is this too much for the App Store to handle?
Is there a reason not to provide users with ways to find things faster or easier?
Is there a different app with these functions that I should be using (sorry dry humor)

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

Mavericks remains offered as a download option in App Store after upgrade!
I upgraded to OSX 9 (Mavericks). But Mavericks is still offered as a download option in App Store. Is this normal? Shouldn't it say "Installed"?

I upgraded MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) to yosemite. I have no more access to Finder, App Store and some apps. Since I have no access to App Store I cannot download the missing parts. How can I get access to App Store?

What do you mean by having no access to those apps? Can you start up your Mac and work with it, and only some OS X apps do not work?
Anyway, what you can try is to reinstall OS X. To do this, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up and reinstall OS X. You will not lose any file. -
Suggestion for App Store when viewing from iphone
I hadn't checked the app store for about a week and when I looked last night... 844 games?! Thats awesome. BIG pain trying to look through all those games though.
Is there any way to suggest to Apple that they add some simple sorts under the "categories" section? It would be great to go to the category "games", for example, and then be able to sort by say: date added, avg rating, and price.
If you could set two sorts it would be ideal but anything is better than looking through 844 apps in what appears to be random order.
Seems like it would be such a simple thing for the mighty Apple programmers to do....We are users here - I'd suggest making the suggestion to Apple:

Ignore Update Option For App Store?
Software Update for the Mac offers the "ignore update" option for an unwanted update. Is there a similar mechanism in the app store to ignore an update and remove the annoying badge promts?
... I'm running Snow Leopard. Is it possible this feature is only available in Lion?
I had to boot a Snow Leopard system to be certain but sure enough, it's there:
This is the "purchases" tab though.
If you have the grey "X" in "Purchases", see if hiding the purchase will also hide its available updates. I cannot verify this since I have no available updates at the moment. -
App store category went missing

I seem to have a problem.
I just purchased the New iPad.
And when browsing through the app store, I can't seem to find "games" among the different categories?!
Not in the Top list nor in the sektion "categories". When browsing on my iPhone I can find the games category?!
I can still find games when searching for them.
Why is this, and how do I get the games category back for my iPad App Store?

No sign on option at app store
When I open the App store I cannot sign on !! When clicking on the sign on option nothing happens!

Sort options right justified in list view
New to Maverick's, but I can't get my finder window to "stick" with the layout of the "sort options". My biggest beef is that I have the "Name" sort far left followed by "Date modified", etc.. yet every day in every new finder window, the 2nd sort jumps to right justified. I want this sort option to stick to the left alongside name. I use large monitors and scrolling over everytime to drag the sort modifier to the left is frustrating. Is there a solution?
My guess would be the Images folder (Pictures in English) is designed to have the special, contextual grouping types.
I don't know why they couldn't make them available in the dropdown menu, also, but they're not.
I did a little testing and found if I called it Pictures unsorted, the options were available, but if I called the folder unsorted Pictures, they weren't.
Try naming the folder starting with Images
Edit: If I select the dimension and resolution column headers in the folder, then change the name of the folder, the columns are retained. -
Facing a problem in update option in app store
I am an apple user, facing some problem in my apple iphone 4s is that i cant access update option in apple store. I am running with my updated software in my iphone 4s i.e. 6.1.2. Since I have updated the software in my iphone i m facing this type of problem. When I open apple store in my iphone I go to update option it shows me that it is being loading and suddenly it stops for being load and it does not appear a page infact it does not appear that what all application I have to update, it doesn't shows me at all, it only shows me the number of updates that is not yet installed.
Please help me out with resolving my problem as soon as possible giving me the reason that why it is happening with my iphone 4s. For furthur information i can provide you my apple id i.e. [email protected]Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Try each of these in order.
