More than 1 genre per song

is it possible for a song to have 2 or more genre for the same song?
i have songs in my library that are rock songs but they also are in spannish
so i would like to be able to find them when im brosing the rock genre or the spannish genre

Just rightclick the song in iTunes, select "Get Info" and then the "Info" tab. Here you can type in the gener field. If its a rock song and you also count it spanish you can type something out like "Rock/Spanish" or "Rock & Spanish" it all depends on how you personally want it listed but long as those 2 words are there it should show up in "Rock" and "Spanish"
When you type this out for one song and hit OK, it will now be listed in the drop down menu for the gener field, so all the other songs you want to change you can highlight them all on the main library (Hold down the "Ctrl" key and then highlight the songs) let go of the key, rightclick, "Get Info" and now with the drop down menu you can instantly change all the songs to your selected one

If those tabs aren't in History > Recently Closed Tabs or Windows then they are probably lost.
You can try to search them in the History if you haven't bookmarked them.
Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" setting is a more reliable way to restore session data.
* Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

iTunes Match costs $24.99 a year and has a limit of 25,000 non-purchased songs.
Amazon Cloud Player Premium costs $24.99 a year and has a limit of 250,000 non-purchased songs.

Why can't I download more than 300-400 songs on my ZenXtra 60 gig at a ti

Ever since I updated to the lastest firmware I cannot download more than 300-400 songs without it crashing? What happened in this update to cause this? It really bugs me I used to be able to set up 000+ downloads and walk away. I talked to Creative's support and they really didn't give me a legitimate reason for this. I think this new "Play for Sure" technology or whatever it bloody is...is the culprit. I want my Zen back the way it used to be, what can I do? Anybody?

Multiple Artists and Genres per Song

I listen to lots of electronic music, and I'm a professional DJ.
Electronic music is a very diverse and complex music category, and have lots of genres and sub-genres. Electronic music producers usually try to transpose genre boundaries, and they usually produce songs contained in two or more equally important genres. For instance, a track can be contained in the genres "house" and "techno", or "disco", "techno" and "acid".
Also, it's really very common that electronic music artists collaborate with each other. Songs produced in collaboration do not belong to one single artist, but to two or more. In this case, it's not correct to say that one is the main artist, and the others are second artists (collaborators, composers remixes, or whatever) - they all detain the same equal authorship status over the composed track.
The problem with iTunes is that it supports one single genre, and one single artist per song. Sure, there's the album artist, but, again, that doesn't apply to albums where multiple artists participate with equal importance. And using "V.A." or "Various Artists" in the song artist or album artist fields is ugly and useless - it doesn't say anything relevant.
I know that Smart Playlists and Grouping features can help alleviate this deficiency, but they don't solve them at all. They're not elegant and complete solutions. If you browse the iTunes library, you will still see tracks as having only one genre and one artist, which is very frustrating.
What I ask is really easy to implement. In fact, it wouldn't require to alter the existing ID3 and tag scheme. Just split artists and genres using a colon or semicolon character. For instance, in the "Artist" tag, iTunes can store the following:
    "Christian Smith; Mark Broom; Renato Cohen"
and then, in the browser, iTunes could display "Christian Smith", "Mark Broom" and "Renato Cohen" as three distinct artists.
The same could be used for the "Genre" tag:
    "Techno; House; Progressive"
could be see, in the browser, as three different genres: "Techno", "House" and "Progressive".
I've made an extensive web research, and I know that this deficiency doesn't annoy only me, but lots of other users. And it's a pretty old request too - dated from 2003.
Please, Apple, implement this feature. My huge electronic music collection really needs to be categorized into multiple artists and multiple genres.

The solution to this problem overall is simple.
If I pull out my Ipod, and go to the section to browse by artist, then all artists would be listed individually in the list if they are separated in a song by the '&' symbol. In the main music list in itunes, this would not result in multiple copies of the file.
The same situation would apply in the genre browser. If there is a tag with "POP & Chinese" then the song would appear if I was searching in pop OR Chinese. It would not show a Genre called "POP & Chinese" in the genre browser. It would show POP and Chinese SEPARATELY in the list!!!
This is not a issue of some programming esoterica nor does it require some super genius to figure out.
Wake up Apple programmers....
Even smartlists are broken in the ipad/ipod and don't work the same way as they do in itunes. WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT A5X chip that you can't fix this problem? I make a smartlist for the genre section at least and this allows me to accomplish what I stated above with genres by using the smartlists instead of the genre browser.
The artist browser and genre browser are worthless to me... since MANY of my songs have multi-artist and multi-genre separated by '&' and the stupid browser lists all the permutations instead of delimiting the genres and artists.
My genre list looks sorta like this:

Pop & Soundtrack & Anime & Japanese
Pop & score & anime
Pop & chinese & vocal
Pop & electronica
What a mess... but I can't categorize my stuff any other way without making it hard to decide which place to put a song. Does a chinese soundtrack pop song get filed under chinese? or pop? or soundtrack? I SHOULD be able to find the song regardless of which sub-genre I look under in the genre browser.
This is basically simple. The people that understand this are basically right and Apple is WRONG on this... no matter what detractors on this thread say. The devices and software could easily be tweaked to dramatically improve the user experience but Apple is poor at getting involved in discussion forums like this to allow us to help them fix these issues. Some of the product developers on the app store are far more receptive to suggestions than Apple is. They are not getting enough of the advantages of crowd sourcing.
I would fly out to Cupertino and correct MANY UI mistakes/errors for them if they will have me out there...
I'll hold my breath and wait for a message to have me come out there. There are still a lot of things about OSX and iOS that can be made simpler too. still FAR too much extraneous junk and poor implementation of cloud capabilities.
Why on earth does itunes have a "get info" menu dropdown to get into track data? Why is the track data separated into 7 submenus separated by tabs? The whole data entry situation in itunes is way too complex. It's downright painful.
Why are there no 24bit audio files yet for premium prices? Are the people at apple doing too much LSD? WHAT IS GOING ON? You have to be disabled not to hear the difference between great recordings and that 256kbps garbage the peddle. come to my house on the 107db sensitivity speakers with a Class A amplifier and tell me you can't tell the difference and I will have your hearing checked.
hopefully the itunes department will contact someone on this thread to provide a list of the mistakes in itunes/ipod software so the problems can all be fixed.
An AUDIOPHILE needs to take over itunes and fix this nonsense STAT. It's simply embarassing at this point. Where are my 24 bit files on my 1000gb ipod? WHY IS THERE NO AUDIOPHILE IPOD? They can use there 100 billion cash hoard and make a GOOD home distribution system beyond "airplay/airport".
Why is mediocrity being considered at Apple when they do so many other things great? Considering I own half a million dollars in stock, believe me I do appreciate the company at large. I am only ranting about the treatment of audiophiles and the complete dumbing down of the music experience to mass garbage when we live in the 21st century.   What we see is important (retina display) but what we hear is not?

Video - can you have more than one per session?

Can I have more than one video in a logic session - like one at the top of a session then 5 minutes later drop another in? I know Pro Tools has multiple video tracks. How do composers out there deal with new cuts etc?

ProTools can do it, Cubase can do it, Digital performer (I think) can do it, ....
Logic can NOT do it. Only one quicktime clip per project at a time.
Logic is owned by Apple which created the Quicktime standard but still they haven't figured it out how to implement that into Logic. Maybe the Logic developers should just pick up the phone and ask the guys over at ProTool how they did it.

Redo Log Files - more than 12 per hour

I have a problem with my redo log files. I get more than 12 switches per Hour. I have 3 Files with 5oM size. I increased the sitz to 15o M, but
I still have 12 switches per hour.
Do anyone know, what I did wrong?

As I said somewhere above too, 150meg is a tiny size if you are managing a production db. I have already mentioned that make your log file size to at least 500meg and than check. As for the high redo activity, only you can confirm that whether this has been started from now only or was happening before too? In anycase, for an active oltp, 500 to 1gb of redo log file size should be okay.
For the extra redo generation, you have been given link for mining log files using logminer. Try using it to see what is causing extra redo.

If this is about Pages for iOs, you can certainly set TNR adn 12 pts, but no, there is no lines per inch settings.
If this is about Pages for OS X, you are in the wrong forum.

Slow (no more than 7 per minute) sent emails in a status update for many situation

We have a new Exchange 2010 system and the need of nightly status for a large number of customers.
Initially, I simply increased the number of mails the involved email accounts could send and that allowed them to deliver.
The problem then was/is that they are still limited to about 7 mails per minute.
At this stage I increased the connection throttling from 20 to 2000, though the average of 7/min is still the norm.
Here are commands I used for throttling increase:
New-ThrottlingPolicy -name 2000EmailMaxConcurr -RCAMaxConcurrency 2000
Set-Mailbox address1 -ThrottlingPolicy 2000EmailMaxConcurr
Set-Mailbox address2 -ThrottlingPolicy 2000EmailMaxConcurr
have read of other efforts, but though assistance rather then cluttered rule implementation was in order.
Anyone have a similar issue and solution?
In my last mass mailing instance, a 2003 installation, I do not recall having to alter the default to allow more than 7 emails per minute from an address.

the appropriate email addresses.
This morning, the report of Monday night's emails stil listed 7 per minute.

Latest upgrade of itunes doesn't start up more than once per boot.

Since the latest upgrade (can't tell what version without rebooting my laptop), iTunes will only start up once per uptime session. If I plug in my iPod Touch, it will start up automatically just once, or if I start by selecting the Start Menu item to run iTunes, it will only start up once. After iTunes is closed, I must reboot the PC if I want to use iTunes. This is with Win7, but it takes me back to the early days of Win95 or ME - ahhh what memories! I'm glad that I can look at that as being in the past, but when it happens right now, I'm not particularly glad.
I can see that the iTunes Helper is running, and even iTunes.exe is running, but there's no program window visible, no icon in the tray... it's not running as far as I can see, and it's not very useful in that state. I can't see any way other than this of letting Apple know that they've trashed the new version of iTunes as far as my computer is concerned. It's just rather unhandy to have to reboot each time after I've finished using iTUnes. As a friend of mine used to say, there's nothing so unhandy as a handy thing that doesn't work...

And that's true for the latest version as well - no change. The process never goes away after I close iTunes - it just hangs around slowly getting bigger and bigger memory-wise. Plug in my iPod Touch, and nothing happens - no synch, nothing. If I kill off the process, then plug in the iPod, iTunes does start up, but it just hangs there, and never becomes truly running and useful. So, I don't know what "fix" broke my iTunes, but it's still requiring a reboot to get it working after it's been used once and closed. At least Win 7 boots pretty quickly on my laptop...

What is the best way to deal with iTunes libraries that have more than 25,000 songs and iTunes match?

My library approaches the 25,000 songs limit from iTunes match mainly because I have a lot of custom mixes with loads of different tracks.
On those songs there are some that I would like iTunes match to ignore. But I still want to keep them in my iTunes library so i can sync them with my ipod and i can keep my metadata tracking. What would be a sensible way to do that?
Duplicate the current iTunes library, and create 2 iTunes libraries children on the same PC, one sync-ed with match and the other not? Would that work with the same apple id // ipod? I just have no clue and apple support is not helping.

Itunes wont sync more than a few songs with my phone

Windows 8 OS, Custom built PC, 6-core AMD processor, 8gb memory, over 1tb storage. I am syncing my iPhone 5 with my computer running iTunes 12.0.1.26. When doing so I am attempting to transfer roughly 1000-1500 songs 7-10GB of music to my phone. I have tried manual management of my songs and using the sync system set up in iTunes. I have no duplicates of any songs and my songs come from all different sources, CD's, purchased, or gathered by friends. Anyways, the problem is, no matter what I do and I have tried many things in my troubleshooting knowledge, the sync only ever transfers 50-200 songs (never the same number of songs) before the sync silently stops as though it has completed the transfer. I look on my phone and no where near the number of songs I've tried to transfer works. The entire transfer and syncing process also seems very buggy and unresponsive about half the time. I've tried different lightning cables. have reset my phone to factory settings twice and I have reinstalled iTunes as well. I'm a pretty tech savvy person but this has got me spinning.

The exclamation mark means that iTunes can't find your songs (the actual music files).
Closing iTunes only removes the exclamation marks but does not solve the problem.
What you have to do is to adjust the path to your Music folder (Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Change) and make sure all your songs are there.
