More than 1 Uknown Album, Uknown Artist

In my itunes i have more than 1 uknown album / uknown artist some have only 2 - 4 songs on there any ideas how to keep it in 1 picture below

This is getting silly.
I've never come across anyone who wants their music to be listed as "unknown".

That's not the same as "they are"! I bet they're not empty. If you try looking at more than one song at a time, when any field has different information in it, from two or more songs, what you will see is an empty field, even though it isn't.

i dont really want 1 album with just 1 track so its better having uknown but now uknown is starting to take all the room
Personally, I'm not convinced by your arguement, and the problem you now have is why it makes no sense to have stuff as "unknown"!
I'm guessing now - that you have lots of single songs, taken from lots of different albums and that either, you have changed the album name of those songs to "unknown" or you obtained them like that, but from an unusual source.
Regardless of any of that, you have now created a different problem for yourself; "now uknown is starting to take all the room"
You need to re think this; making albums unknown is simply causing you a problem you would never have had if you had left things as they were.
Either:
follow the steps I mentioned in my previous post - or,
put the correct information in the songs and then...
make Playlists of the single songs so that you have several songs in one playlist and no single ones
decide which songs you want to group together and make them a group using the Grouping field
Make up your own album titles and group songs that way.
But you cannot carry on as you are now.

  • I have music files by the same artist but they are listed in itunes in more than one album hod can i add then to just one album pf that artist

I have music files by the same artist but they are listed in Itunes in more than one album hod can i add then to just one album of that artist I am using windows 8.1 .

iTunes will group songs into an album when:
All songs have the same value for the Album and Artist field, or
All songs have the same value for the Album and Album Artist field
All songs have the same value for the Albumfield and the Part of a Compilation flag is checked.
If you want to group all the songs by one artist into a single "album" you can do so by following one of these rules.  However, it may be more useful to create Playlists to group music like this and retain the original release information.  One Smart Playlist for each artist you're interested in would meet this need without over-writing information about the source albums.

  • Can I labled the same song to more than one albums? As you know, some songs are repeated in different albums.

You can make a copy of an existing song, then change the album, artwork and track number details. You cannot make the same physical file show up in two different albums.

  • Unable to add more than one album at a time

So I have had minimal issues with my ipod classic until about a week ago, when suddenly all 45gb of music on my ipod was erased. I didn't do anything stupid like disconnect it when it wasn't ready to be disconnected. So I restored my ipod and then began adding music on to it. The only problem is that if I try and add more than one album at a time, it freezes at some point and some error message pops up (there are a few differnt ones). After that happens practically nothing can be added to my ipod. Any solutions?

Yes, I was able to add as many albums as I wanted before the crash and I have restored it three or four times since then because of this problem.

  • More than one Album for a Single Song

There're some songs which belong to more than one album,
Eg:- Seether's "Sold Me" belongs to "Disclaimer II" and "The Punisher"
so to add those songs to both the albums i have to keep two copies of the song and that leads the Genius Mixers to play the same song twice from both the albums. Isn't there a way to add a song to all the the albums by having only one copy of the song?

Isn't there a way to add a song to all the the albums by having only one copy of the song?
No there is not.  The album information is embedded in the file metadata.  If you want the same song in multiple albums, you will need multiple copies of the song file.
As noted by the previous poster, you can delete duplicates.  However, this will remove the deleted copy from its album, and does not meet your request to have one copy in multiple albums.

  • Syncing more than one album

i want to sync more than one album from my computer, but when i sync more than one, it deletes the one i have just synced, and erases the last one, i use windows 7.

Do you have more than one photo album or folder available under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to select, or do you have a single album or folder selected for sync photos from?
If you manually manage photo storage on your PC, create what will be a parent folder to store the named folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPhone. Place the folders of photos in the newly created parent folder. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync. The folders of photos within the parent folder will be transferred to your iPhone as seprate albums. To add a new album to your iPhone, place the folder of photos in the parent folder on your PC followed by a sync. To remove an album from your iPhone, move the folder of photos out of the parent folder on your PC followed by a sync.

  • Does I photo duplicate images when added to more than one album?

I am trying to eliminate duplicates in IPhoto.  Is each image duplicated if addes to more than one album?

There are no duplicates in iPhoto unless you import multiple copies of a photo
Albums do not exist with photos in them. Pacing a photo in an album simply makes an entry in the iPhoto database and takes no space

  • Associate music files to more than one album

Come on Apple, make a music file format that you can add the track to more than one album. E.G.
    Track 1 - Album 1
                  Album 2
                  Album 3
You would make peoples lives a lot easier, who want ti sort their library & not have duplicate tracks.

There is currently no way to do this. Nor any plans to, as far as I know. Might want send your suggestion to Apple using the feedback links.

  • Facebook: May More Than One Album Be Set-Up As an Export Destination?

In the Export to Facebook feature in the Library, is it possible to set up more than one album?
I have one album set-up, and that works fine; but my attempts to set up another album have been unsuccessful.    I often want to send photos to a different album than the one I have set up.          Currently, I have to send the photo to the one album, then go into facebook and move it from there.

  • Getting Music Store to list more than 30 albums

OK, let's say I want to see all albums featuring music by Brahms. I type "Brahms" into the search box. (You can type it into the "Composer" box of Power Search if you like; it will still produce the following effect.) On the "results" page, I click "See all" in the "Albums" panel. This brings up a list of 30 albums.
Now I know very well that iTunes has more than 30 albums of music by Brahms. But there's no "Page 2" or "See more" button. So I can't browse them. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for your help,
    Chris
(P.S. As it happens, there is a way to see all albums of music by Brahms. On the "Classical" front page of iTunes Music Store, there's a section at the bottom titled "The Great Composers". If I click on Brahms here, it brings up 679 albums. Now that's more like it! BUT: there are only 13 composers in the list. Completely useless if I want to browse albums of music by any composers not in the list - Tchaikovsky for instance.)

  • Filter photos that are located in more than one album

I'm trying to organise my iPhoto events onto albums in the new photos app in 10.10.3, however, I think I messed up with a bunch of photos and need to start clean, I need to be sure that one specific photo or group of photos are located in a single album, kinda like iPhoto used to work with events, I know a photo can be in more than one album at a time, but how do you tell with filters?
Tried to create smart album but seems to be no criteria for that.
    Thanks.

You can't.  You know that during the conversion from iPhoto to Photos all of your current iPhoto Events also were converted to albums inside the folder in the sidebar titled "iPhoto Events".
So you only have to worry about new imports which go into Moments.

  • If I have a pic in more than one album, does iPhoto make more than one copy of that pic?  When I search the file name on finder, it seems to be showing one copy of that file for every album it's in.

If I have a pic in more than one album, does iPhoto make more than one copy of that pic?  When I search the file name on finder, it seems to be showing one copy of that file for every album it's in.

No it doesn't. Albums simply reference the photos in the Library. A single shot can be in 100 albus and use no extra disk space at all.
If you have the same shot in two Events then yes, the file is duplicated.
When I search the file name on finder, it seems to be showing one copy of that file for every album it's in.
The Finder doesn't really understand the iPhoto Library. It's quite possible for the iPhoto Library to contain many files with the same name. The Library also contains different versions of the same shot - thumbnail, originals and edited version. This is normal.

  • Can I have more than one album art Image displayed on ipod per song?

    Can someone help?
My issue is that in itunes I can add more than one image (album art) to an individual song. While it's playing, in the display album art (bottom left corner) I can flick through all the images a particular song contains. I got exicted and came to the assumption that not only can I display album art (covers) but also single art (covers) for songs that got release from an album on my ipod. However when I downloaded all the tracks on to my ipod it only displays album art and not single art (covers) for released songs. Is there a way I can have both album and single art displayed on my ipod for a song? I spent hours finding these single art covers on the internet!

On the iPod you can only display one picture attached to that song. The one that gets assigned to the song is the first picture on the list in iTunes.

  • If photos are in more than one album or event are they taking up twice as much disk space?  is there a way to eliminate all duplicates without doing it one by one?

If photos are inmore than one album or event are they taking up twice as much disk space?
Is there a way to eliminate duplicates without doing it one by one?

A photo exists in only one event.  However, it can be in multiple albums, slideshows, books, etc. without taking up any additional disk space.
If you truly have duplicates in iPhoto, not as viewed via the Finder  you can use one of these applications to identify and remove duplicate photos from an iPhoto Library:
    iPhoto Library Manager - $29.95
Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto - free
Duplicate Annihilator - $7.95 - only app able to detect duplicate thumbnail files or faces files when an iPhoto 8 or earlier library has been imported into another.
PhotoSweeper - $9.95 - This app can search by comparing the image's bitmaps or histograms thus finding duplicates with different file names and dates.
DeCloner - $19.95 - can find dupicates in iPhoto Libraries or in folders on the HD.
Some users have reported that PhotoSweeper did the best in finding all of the dups in their library: i photo has duplicated many photos, how...: Apple Support Communities.
If you have an iPhone and have it set to keep the normal photo when shooting HDR photos the two image files that are created will be duplicates in a manner of speaking (same image) but the only diplicate finder app that detected the iPhone HDR and normal photos as being duplicates was PhotoSweeper.  None of the other apps detected those two files as being duplicates as they look for file name as well as other attributes and the two files from the iPhone have diffferent file names.
iPLM, however, is the best all around iPhoto utility as it can do so much more than just find duplicates.  IMO it's a must have tool if using iPhoto.

  • HT1473 Often times when I copy a CD into my library it breaks the CD into more than one Album, all with the same name but with only a few of the songs on each. This happens whenever the CD has music with more than one artists...like maybe duets.

Often times when I copy a CD into my library it will break my CD into multiple albums in my library, each with only a few songs.
Usually this is because there might be songs where the artists has other artists in the song.
How can I compile all of the different albums (all with the same name by the way) back into one as was the original disc?

Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.
