Dear Gurus
We have a problem in SICK Transaction in 4.6 b server contanining 3 instances .
" more than one application server offer ENQ service"
When 2 instances are stopped and run the SICK transaction for one instanse found no error
but when other instance are up and checked with SICK it gives above error message.
The profile errors as follows
rdisp/enqname is not identified identically on all servers
rdisp/enqname ( mk04_P12_00 ) on server mk04_P12_00
rdisp/enqname ( mk04_P11_01 ) on server mk04_P11_01

That means you have 2 instances running an enque process, even tho this is possible i don't think is meant to be in your system... you need to check why?
Check that parameter rdisp/wp_no_enq is not set in one of the application servers.

How to use more than one application server during initial load?

Hi,
we plan to use more than one application server in CRM during initial download in order to increase the number of parallel requests and to decrease the time for the initial load. Is there a way to allocate requests to more than one server? Is is possible via multiple rfc connections for consumer CRM in CRMRFCPAR?

More than one ATP Server

Allright, here's the story.
We're running ECC6.0 on AIX, ABAP Stack only.
We are clustered using AIX's HACMP.
We have four LPARs (Logical Partitions, or machines)
Two are clustered and two are standalone supplemental application servers.
Among the two that are clustered, one node is running Oracle (not RAC) and replicated enqueue (ERS), and the other node is running Central Services Instance for ABAP (ASCS) and a primary applicative instance (formerly CI).
The two nodes are mutually redundant.
The CI is actually our ATP server.
If one of the nodes fails, obviously the a take-over occurs on the other node. However, not to overload the node that's taking over the other one, the ASCS instance is restarted but NOT the CI.
The ASCS being the enqueue and message server, the system can run perfectly without the "CI" running as long as at least one supplemental app. server is running.
BUT! This will NOT ensure that the ATP is redundant.
I'm thinking of adding a third instance on the "CI" HACMP node exclusively used for ATP. So on that CI node, there will be ASCS, CI and ATP. Three different instances.
HACMP would be configured to provide redundancy for ASCS and ATP and still not for CI. This would ensure that ATP is always there and respect the rule of not overloading the HACMP node that'll be taking over.
This raises many other questions, like: what work processes do I need for ATP? Can it be a dialog-only instance? Of course it will not placed in any logon-groups...

IMac (2008) OS10.6.8 - Main menu freezes when running more than one application at a time. Apple and 3rd party applications - all freeze the main menu. Safe mode seems to work OK. Tried repairing permissions - didn't work.

For the past 60 days I've experienced Main Menu freeze when running more than one application at a time. iPhoto, Preview, Text Edit, Epson Scan, Firefox and Thunderbird are the apps I use almost daily. No matter what I do, when more than one is running they will freeze the Main Menu (top of the screen). I've tried booting is Safe Mode and I don't seem to have a problem. I've tried several suggestions from repairing permission (DiskUtility) to eliminating specifis login items. Nothing works. I've posted this issue on the Apple forum several times and no one else has experienced this problem. I hesitate to take my iMac to the Apple Store or a private Apple repair service until I've exhausted all of my options. Do I have any more options?

There's really no need to submit to Apple, it's just a round file cabinet on the other end, especially with 10.6 or earlier.
This sure sounds like a resource problem...
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

We have some products( built on oracle 10G and forms 10G) running and for it to run we have 5 application servers .
The OS is Solaris
Oracle version is 10G R1.
We had till now one dedicated Report server .
But now we need to have more than one report server .
Can we have more than one report server attached at same time and in working condition ?
Kindly advise .

Need to download JAR files from more than ONE HTTP-server ?

We have a need to download JAR files for an application, from more than ONE HTTP-server, i.e. any specified HTTP-server in an extremely secure network.
Does a solution exist for this requirement ? Is it possible to design a solution our selfes for this problem ?

from within the resources element of the main JNLP.

The extension element should refer to another JNLP
(on the other site) that refers to the Jars. The jar files
in any such (foreign) JNLP need to be signed, and the
JNLP files should declare itself as a <component-desc>.
For any level of detail on using extensions/components,
download the spec. mentioned in the second paragraph
of that section linked above. Unfortunately I can find no
web browsable form of the information.

What would be the business requirement to have more than one integration server (HUB) in same environment.
Lets say DXI100 is used as HUB between 10 other business systems. What would be the business requirement to create another HUB in the same development environment?

For all your R/3 and SAP products like SRM, CRM you have to select Application Server. You will create a Business system for XI server. It will be configured as Integration Server.

We can have more than one XI server in your land scape(One for dev, one for QA and one for Prod). All these can have a single SLD and hence you find this option. But you have only one IS in one XI server.

I'm interested in Illustrator and Photoshop, more immediately. However, will possibly be looking at a full individual subscription, at a later time. Is it possible to download more than one application, for a free trial, at a time?

XCode won't load more than one application at a time on my iTouch?

I got the latest SDK, installed the latest firmware, re-generated the provisioning profile. Really, everything works exactly as expected, and xCode installs my application normally, but if I, say, try to install two different sample projects, HelloWorld and TheElements, when I "Build and Go" the second application, it deletes the previous application as part of the installation procedure. That is, TheElements will be installed, and HelloWorld will be deleted.
This only happens on the device, not in the emulator, and happens with any application, not just these two. I just can't install more than one app on the device.
According to iTunes, there is plenty of room on the actual iTouch. Also, in Organizer, rather than a checkbox next to the Application, there is an "arrow". When I click the application, I see "Application Data".
What the ****? Is this normal for iTouch? Are only iPhone developers allowed to develop more than one application at a time?

you must create an application ID
(use program portal - App ID) and in provisioning make a profile with the new App ID, and use the
same profile in your 2 applications
In Xcode for your project , (2*click target) section properties, use different names as Identifier, and you can have
more than one of your applications installed on the phone. I use identifieres as
dk.mochasoft.abc
and
dk.mochasoft.xyz
I think when you release the applications to App Store, you will need different Profiles for the applications. The Apple documentation is a little weak on this subject.

Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.

If you're booting from an aftermarket SSD, see whether there's a firmware update for it.
If you have a portable computer, check the cycle count of the battery. It may be due for replacement.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane. See whether there's any change.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
If you have a MacBook Pro with dual graphics, disable automatic graphics switching in the Energy Saverpreference pane for better performance at the cost of shorter battery life.

When you notice the problem, launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the View menu or the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for User, System, and Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the Memory tab. What value is shown in the bottom part of the window for Swap used?
Next, select the Disk tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in andWrites out.)
Step 4
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combinationcommand-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long.
