More than one question on a quiz slide

I've been using Captivate to create quizzes, and am not experienced with Flash. Now I need to create quizz slides with more than one question per slide, which is a limitation in Captivate. Is it possible to have more than one question on a slide using Flash?

Yes. Just copy-paste the placeholder that the theme has, multiple times.

Through customize u can achieve ur requirement..
Create two Quickpoll with different campaign name and start ongoing..
Next create iview for each quickpoll by using KM QuickPoll iView Template enter the corresponding campaign name for the quickpoll iview.
Next create one JspDynPage component in NWDS
In that JSP file

Now u create one iview for that JspDynPage component
in that two Quickpoll question will display in one iView..

In Captivate 7, can you have more than one question on a question slide?

Ultimately, I would like to have one question slide. On this question slide, I would like to have three separate Fill-in-the-Blank questions. The Fill-in-the-Blank questions would have drop-down lists of the answers. It would look something like this:
1. Location: (Fill-in-the-Blank with Drop-down list)
2. Religion: (Fill-in-the-Blank with Drop-down list)
3. Ethnicity: (Fill-in-the-Blank with Drop-down list)
Captivate appears to limit a question slide to one question. I have a feeling I will have to do some Flash animations to make this work and abandon the question slide altogether. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can have more than one blank word in a FIB question. But probably your
problem is that the question will only be considered correct, and score
given if all the words are correct. I recently explained a workaround at
Devlearn, using scored TEB's.

More than one text area on a slide master... how?

Is it possible to define more than one text area on a master slide? If so how?
I want to have a layout with two columns of text - a fairly common layout in presentation packs - but can't persuade Keynote to accept this as a layout for a template. I realise that there can only be one 'body' area, but any attempt to produce a 'fake' second body area fails - whether I put in a text box or a shape with text in.
If I put it in as a text box, I can't put a limit on how big the box is.
If I put it in as a shape with text in, when I try to enable the shape as a text placeholder, it forces the whole text in box to have same format as 'top level' outline.
Any ideas?

If you want two columns of text, why not set up the Body textbox with two columns? Select the Body textbox on the slide master, then in the Text Inspector, in the Columns tab, set however many columns you want.

Kinda more than one question: updated itunes and now most of my library is gone, was completely gone until I reinstalled itunes

updated itunes, music is missing, trying to do the previous itunes library fix, but last file is from November 2011! I'm pretty sure there were updates after that, and i definitely added more things to it since then.
I'm really hoping I don't have to go add all my music again, and then go through and rebuild my playlists. Never mind work out things between itunes and my ipod.
My playlists and the music I have on my ipod is still there. The ipod doesn't seem to auto-syncing to itunes, and I'm given the choice to erase and sync, or transfer purchases. Maybe the backup I made for my ipod will save what I wipe to sync?
... and now itunes isn't responding at all.... help?

How to apply skip logic based on more than one question...

I need to show a Terms of Use acceptance page at the end of my survey based on the answers related to two questions.
The best way I can describe it is below.

OR IF Question (7) answer is Y

I can easily get it to show if the user picks B or C. But if they pick A, and then chose Y to question 7, I can't figure out how to force it to show.
I basically need skip logic to allow an OR condition.
If that is not possible, any ideas?

I'm working on a fancy set of tricks using Hide\Show logic instead of skip logic. Not perfect, but I might be able to work around this using that.

How do I add more than one quiz to a project?

In Captivate 7 help it mentions you should be sure to name your quizzes because it will help you keep track of them when you have more than one in the same project. However, I cannot find any information on how to add a second quiz to the same project.

Could you tell where this is mentioned in the Help? I believe due to SCORM standards only one quiz per file is possible. Only thing that changed since Captivate 6 is the possibility to add a Pretest. The result of a pretest can be used to take decisions like branching, but is not meant as a real quiz.
What will be reported, what is stored in the quizzing system variables is always for the totality of the file. You could track results of some questions and show them in the file. Have a look at:

Adding music to more than one slide and not the entire presentation

I love the way Keynote looks and behaves, but it fails to compete with PPT on certain aspects, such as adding the same audio track to more than one slide and NOT have it play for the entire presentation. Using PPT (and I hate PCs!) you can have a track play for "n" number of slides. I'm frustrated that I cannot do this with Keynote! I don't want the track as a soundtrack for the entire presentation. I want to add another audio track to, say, the last two or three slides only and something else for all the other slides. I looked through the user manual, forums, etc. and found that I can only add a soundtrack to the entire thing or a different audio to only one slide.
Question: What if I cut (that last two slides) and paste the the slides as a new Presentation with its own soundtrack, then reincorporate that back and paste it into the original presentation? Will that work or will the original soundtrack take over the entire presentation again?

Anyone remember Claris Works for Mac back in the early 90s? Now, that was a gem! What were they thinking when they got rid of that one (and replaced it with AppleWorks!)?
Good point, but one which Apple has heard a zillion times, and so sadly chosen to ignore. The really heartbroken among us remember AppleWorks from the mid-'80's, the world's first integrated suite, then ClarisWorks, then AppleWorks; and, of course, Beagle Bros. and BeagleWorks. Slider with more than one thumb

does anybody know a slider with more than one thumb?
The JSlider-class only provides one thumb, but I need more thumbs to displace.
That why I posted the last question: I found one in the web but when I call the constructor, I get that error.

I also tried MThumbSlider, a.k.a. CMThumbSlider (C for
Cougaar?), the slider with more knobs. (keywords: slider,
knob, knobs, thumb, thumbs, more, two, three.)
I downloaded the code from the link mentioned below,
run the example and it worked just fine. When I tried
to subclass the slider to add tooltips I got an exception
from the loader:
UIDefaults.getUI() failed: no ComponentUI class for:...
The slider has its own package. Its constructor
(indirectly) calls the following utility function,
passing itself as an argument, just before calling
JSlider.updateUI. The latter then calls UIManager.getUI,
which fails with the exception mentioned above.

Start the print process and click on the Custom layout. At the bottom you can set the size of the image desired and see how many photos can be placed on the page size selected.

How to create a theme with more than one master-slide size defined?

I would like to create a Keynote theme that has more than one size of page defined - for example one for on-screen show, and one for printing.
I noticed that the stock themes, and those from theme vendors, come with multiple page dimensions, and that the master slide layouts for the 'same' master slide appear to be designed differently for the different sizes.
How do I create themes like this in Keynote? I cannot find any information about this in the Keynote manual. I have worked out how to change the master slide dimensions, but not how to tell Keynote that the layout I've created for a slide is for a particular set of dimensions. So when I look at my theme in the theme browser, I only see the dimensions I had selected last time I saved my theme showing.
Any help most appreciated.

The same reason that Apple and 3rd Party vendors put multi-size templates in one file I expect. I am trying to construct an in-house standard template for use in our company, and it is easier to manage if there is only one file to send to people rather than many - both initially and for subsequent edits / updates to the template.
Of course it would be possible to create several templates (one for each size). But since it is clear that templates can be combined, it appears sensible to do this - unless the doing of it is horridly complicated

Adding more than one song to a slide show in Elements 11

Most of my slideshows are longer than one song and I get tired of it just repeating. Can I have more than one song in a slide show and how do I do this?

I like to use different songs for different parts of slide shows and also to edit out some of the extra verses in some of the songs I use, so what I do is to use Wavepad (free download) to edit the desired songs. I save each one in a separate file (adding a descriptor such as "short" to the original title). Then, I open a new file in Wavepad, save it as the name of the slide show (such as Graduation Medley), then copy & paste each song from its respective file, in the correct sequence I want them to play into the new file. Be sure to save at the end, in between, all the time.
I go back to iTunes and import the new file into the Library. Then I go back to iPhoto, select the relevant slide show, click on the Music button and select that file for my music for the slide show. I then go to the Settings and click the button that says "Fit photos to music".
You can also create a playlist from the edited files and add the playlist as specified in the other posts.
When previewing the slide show, if the music for the 2nd section starts too soon or too late, I adjust the time for a couple of beginning section's slides, add an extra one in, or maybe even reedit the music.
