"Most Popular" appears in Spanish after update to 32.0.2
I was working away and decided to update to the latest version. Not my BEST idea, because now Huffington Post US Politics page now shows "Most Popular" section in Spanish.

Do you have the English version? You could try uninstalling, downloading, and reinstalling Firefox? You could also try deleting your cookies.

IPad/iPhone Not Appearing in iTunes After Updating iOS from 8.0 to 8.1.1
After updating my iPad and iPhone from iOS 8.0 to iOS 8.1.1, neither device will show up any longer in iTunes. After the update completed, I received the following error message in a pop-up window:
"iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. An unknown error occurred (0xE800001F)."
I've restarted both devices and my computer and have the most up-to-date version of iTunes installed. I'm on a Windows 8 PC.

Noob Warning - Shared Computers No Longer Appear in Finder after Update
I recently (last Saturday) purchased a new MBP. I do a lot of photography and Photoshop work, and it was time to make the jump (especially with CS5 due out by the end of the month).
Prior to the 10.6.3 update, the other computers in my home workgroup all appeared under the Shared section of Finder. Now, after the 10.6.3 update, they're gone. The other computers are a laptop running Win7 Ultimate, another running Vista Ultimate, and a third running WinXP Pro. I sometimes need access to these in order to work on images or Word/Excel files.
Would appreciate any guidance as to how to get these computers back and appearing under Shared.Ouch!... I'm seeing the same thing. Playlists that were seen prior to yesterdays update are no longer seen. Don't see any options to disable them so hopefully this will get fixed.

After following the instructions to update my software, the app store icon will not appear in the doc.
like already posted here you have LEOPARD. But MacAppStore is a feature of SNOW LEOPARD which is a newer OS and must be paid for. The initial version of Snow , 10.6 does not contain it, but once it is updated to 10.6.6 or higher it is included. ( The point release updates are free ).

Variations of colored dots appear on photos after updating iphoto
After installing OS X Mavericks and updating iPhoto, I noticed that all of my photos appear to have small little dots that are different colors. I can zoom into the images and if I was to edit the photos and choose enhance, the dots end up enhanced and larger. I've exported an image from iphoto and saved it as a jpeg, when hitting the space bar to preview the image, the image has white blocks covering the whole photo. I know that with the previous version of iPhoto my images didn't show anything like this before. Something very strange is going on and I'm concerned my photos are corrupt. I've included a couple screen shots of the problems.
That's an indication that the link/file path between the thumbnail and original file has been broken.
If you have the space available on your hard drive and don't aready have a backup copy of the library make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory. -
Most websites won't Load after Update
My firefox said it had an update, so I did and immediately after it was done and rebooted nothing would load. My internet connection is full and I can connect to Itunes. I also figured out that a couple of sites do work fine (suntrust, college website) but the majority (msn, facebook, etc) just say "The Connection was Reset". I didn't change anything except for the update.

Apple TV won't turn on, respond, or appear in iTunes after update-Help!
The update didn't fully finish, I believe, and eventually I think the Apple TV turned off. Now it won't turn on on respond in any way.
I've tried plugging it into iTunes with micro USB, several times. Never shows up. It doesn't light up at all no matter waht i do... Whattt should I do?

If not already, try using a powered USB port.
Repeat the process but this time try connecting the cable while iTunes is closed.
Repeat the process with another cable.
Try restoring the Apple TV on another computer in another location. -
Birthdays did not appear in iCal after update from Contacts
I thought iCal is supposed to automatically import birthdays from "contacts"? I went to contacts and selected "birthdays" to be displayed. Then typed in the bday info, saved the cards, and went to look at my ical. nothing happend. did i miss some vital yet simple step?

Difficulty installing most recent iOS 8.1.1 update
I am attempting to install the latest iOS 8.1.1 update on my iPad2. The error I receive is "Unable to Install Update An error occurred installing iOS 8.1.1". I have tried restarting and clearing additional storage space without success (I have 5.2 GB available). Suggestions?
Hi Just make a bit more space, to 5.8G aslo Turn your Blue tooth, off You wiil get most of the space back after update. try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button. Hold both, down, until, you see Apple Logo. Cheers Brian

After updating to iOS 7 the contact photos no longer appear when I receive a call. How can I get them to show again?
I'm having the identical problem on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 7--no ability to update apps or download new apps. Here is what Apple tech support emailed to me:
I understand that you are unable to download or update applications after updating iOS7 on your iTunes. I know you must be eager to get this resolved and I will be happy to help you today.

Please follow this steps:
1) Double tap the home button
2) Hold down on an icon
3) Tap the red "X" on iTunes, and the App Store.
4) Tap Settings > Store > Tap your Apple ID, and choose sign out
5) Tap Settings
6) Tap General
7) Tap Reset
8) Tap Network Settings
Once it has been closed with multi-tasking, and you have rebooted the device in the network settings reset, please sign in, and try again.

Mildly amusing that the instructions for force-closing a program are the IOS 6 instructions, which do not work on IOS 7.
Otherwise I'm having a little success with this. Some apps (not all) are updating. It seems that a few more apps update each time I go through the process (close everything, sign out, and either reset or reboot, then go to the app store, sign in and try to update all). So far it has been a very lengthy, iterative process. -

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged after the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutes after the boot time, not before. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the beginning of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful. -
After updating my Premiere Pro 2014 (CC), all of the default keyboard commands have changed. They appear to be PC commands instead of Mac.

PLEASE HELP ME.This means that the phone you have was software unlocked to use on any carrier, or hacked. When you installed the update it restored the lock that originaly came with your phone. Not much you can do now. Apple will not support hacked phones. You will need to find out the carrier your phone is locked to and see if they offer official unlocking, or start googling to see if you can find a way to unlock 4.2.

I purchased three autobooks from itunes last weekend and after updating my ios to 7 they no longer appear. I looked at my purchse history and they are not showing in my purchase history. I do have the receipts for the charge. How do I restore these?

Itunes content is not incliuded in the backup that itunes performs.
Audiobooks are not part of icloud and cannot be redownloaded.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.

Motorola 850 Very slow to connect when answering phone
I have just connected my BT Motorola HS850 to the Iphone and the pairing went well. When I tried to answer the phone using the BT device I did not receive any audio nor could I transmit for about 9 seconds after I answered the call. Any ideas?
