Thank you!

HI
You can use the ACS for multiple IOS devices like Swicthes, Routers, ASA.
You can use it for following setup:
1.Wireless authentication like , Eap-tls/PEAP/EAP-FAST, using AP/WLC/WCS.
2.VPN authentication/Authorization  like ipsec/site to site using Radius protocol on ASA/VPN concentrator
3. For admin Access of the Multiple devices like switches/Routers/ASA/WLC/IPS/IDS/WCS and multi vendor devices using Tacacs and Radius protocol.
4. It is used for command authorization on the multiple devices using Tacacs protocol

  • Most popular api for modifying excel spreadsheets?

I googled a bit and it seems like POI and jexcel are the most popular ? I'm interested in hearing your opinions... I've tried POI and I find it OK, but I wish I had more features like copying a row and "pasting/inserting" it into another row and copying formulas and having it modified as you "paste" it to another cell.
    edit:
scratch jexcel off the list... it's not free :(

    hi,
    POI is best
The most popular API for manipulating Excel files is Apache POI (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi). This is an API for reading office-documents in general. For reading Excel there is the hssf subproject (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/hssf). They also have a list of alternative projects that can be used for accessing Excel files (http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/hssf/alternatives.html)
You can also read in the excel file through the jexcel api (http://www.andykhan.com/jexcelapi/)
once you can read in the entire excel file into java, you can create your own Java object structure and go from there.

  • Most popular case for a 15" Macbook pro

I would like to know which carrying case is the most popular for a 15" Macbook Pro with retina to be used by a college student who may be tough on a laptop?

This is a tough question since everyone has a different need and sense of what they like.
With that said Brenthaven makes some excellent cases for the MacBook Pro. If you dont have that many other accessories to carry then their Elliot slim case is an excellent case. (http://www.brenthaven.com/macbook-cases/elliot-slim-brief)

  • What is the most popular reason for importing XML?

    Hi
New to this feature, so I would like to know what people are using it for. Presumably the XML is exported from another application. I need to get some idea of which applications people are generally exporting from, and why. Brief examples of workflows would be appreciated.
    Many Thanks
    Jason

All databases support today export to XML.
For InDesign the items have to be transformed in a special order.
Upon import InDesign can attach a XML element to a specific style or element in the document.
This helps to import a huge amount of informative content in formatted styles. Such methods are used for example for exhibition guides where information comes often very late, but the structure is foreknown or for special medicine the package will be produced automatically upon the content.
XML makes sense when the structure is given but the content may vary. Think about it with catalogues, receipts, phone and address books or similar. Less for literature.
Other methods to get the same result might be InDesign tagged text, which could also be exported from data bases.
Or if someone is exporting IDML it is a package of XML files bundled together, zip compressed with the extension IDML. Here you can research a little bit how XML works with InDesign.

  • What do most people use for metrics ?

My employer uses KSLOC as a software development measurement. Of course this means that LabVIEW doesn't play in the game.  What do most folks use to measure workload?

    Hey Ben,
It's a good idea, especially if you limit sub-vi's to a single computer screen (typically 19" at 1152X864)
Here in Canada, ham is typically sold by the litre..

  • Most Popular Items not working for document libraries

One of the new Library features is the "Most Popular Items" report.  In the library tab you can click on the icon to in theory, see a list of the recent and total Views of an item:
This does work in our environment to record views for wiki or publishing page, but it is not recording views for documents regardless of their location:
I've had several people open and view the documents, and even had 1 person edit a couple of the documents.  Even after waiting a couple of hours to make sure whatever job it is that updates the Views has run, we still aren't seeing any views.
    Any ideas?
    Nick Hurst

We finally got Office Web Apps installed and now the Most Popular is working.  Of course that means only when the documents are viewed in the Office Web App are they recorded for the Most Popular report.  We've done some testing and opening the
file directly in the desktop application, or even editing the file directly in the desktop application are never recorded.  My one disclaimer with this is we are using Office 2010, I'm curious if Office 2013 perhaps records views and edits using the desktop
    application?
Luckily the latest OWA patch now allows PDF's to open in the Word Office App as well, so those views are recorded.  If you have any non office or non PDF in the library, views will not be recorded for these items unfortunately.
I can't believe how this isn't documented anywhere.

  • Best operating system for music applications( or most popular)

hi, gonna be buying a mac laptop.
im not feeling leopard for coupla reasons.
im new to all this by the way. so dont know about the diff versions of operating systems for mac........i just know tiger 10.4 was one prior.
for music software, which op system and version is most compatible with the various music apps and vst companies etc out there. like i dont mind not using the latest versions of popular programmes like pro tools and logic and ableton.
leopared is very specific and not backwards compatiblewith alot of software it seems.
    cheers
like whats the most popular system in use by music production culture, not necessarily professionals, just hobbyists.
like if you have service pack 2 XP, i know youre good to go. simple as that.
    whats the mac equivalent?

Leopard doesn't work well with G5!!
If you have tiger, stay with it, its solid. There is no reason to use leo at the moment!
There is nothing you cannot do with tiger concerning audio.
When its time to upgrade, you can do, but who knows.....
    Cheers Eddie
What FUD. Seriously. Plenty of people on this board are running leopard with no problem. My leopard is solid, and it runs logic and reason.
Leopard worked fine on my G5.
As for the comment about leopard not being able to run tiger....well, that's kinda mind blowing.

  • Get most popular user using JSOM

    Hi,
I have a requirement to show "Employee of the month" on my intranet portal. The data has to be collaborated from 1 site collection and communities, blogs under it.
The logic behind this can be any one option from the below.
    1. User who has most followers
    2. User who has done maximum number of posts
    3. User having most mentions
Iterating through all users in a site collection and getting their data seems a bit complex and performance issue might arise.
    Any help is appreciated.Thanks
    sunny

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to get most popular user using JSOM.
Per my knowledge, you need to get and count the followers for each users and and then get the max number.
The appropriate user is the most popular user.
To get the followers of a specific, you can refer to:
SharePoint 2013: How to Get Following and Followers of
User by using JSOM or JavaScript

  • What IDE is most popular for Java??

    Hi, there,
I'm new for Java, I knew some IDEs for java,
    such as JBuilder,VisualAge,SunONE,Cafe, which is
    most popular? pls recommend me,thanks!!!
    Rgds

I have been privileged to use the following IDE's visualage, JDeveloper,JBuilder and Eclipse, which one is the best, honestly it really depends on what you want to do. For example, if you are thinking in terms fo front-end application Swing,Applet etc, i still JBuilder tops the list , though i have yet to fully use JDeveloper for this purpose. EClipse is cheap, yes, that is where it ends, at the moment we are using Eclipse in my office because it is free, and so comes its nightmares, take my advice avoid cheap.
Visual Age for Java, not the best when you are thinking of front end, but when you talk about server side stuff, wao go for this IDE, it comes with so many benefits it just cant be ignored. It comes with its own server(Websphrere) , which Eclipse does not have. JDeveloper perhaps with the little i have seen so far will compare favourably if not better, the reason being it takes care of two communities atb the same time,Oracle and java, both to which i can identify. Your ability to sit within JDeveloper and do so many stuff , including update your Oracle DB and your application server is simply decadent, it simply spoils you. Why IBM did not do the same with Visual age and DB2 beats me. If you want to pick dont go any further between these two emm maybe JBuilder if all you are doing is building applets

  • 802.1X for wired environments using Radius/ACS for Dynamic Vlan Assignment

    Currently Being Moderated
802.1X for wired environments  using Radius/ACS for Dynamic Vlan Assignment
Could someone please provide me with a simplest set of configuration steps to fire up Radius in ACS and 802.1X for dynamic vlan assignment. The objective is to roll out NAC L2 OOB using the 802.1X method for dymamic vlan assignments.
    If possible show:
    1. ACS/Radius Configurations.
    2. End User Switch Configurations
    Variables:
    Switch A
    MAC Address aaaa.bbbb.cccc     Vlan 10
                bbbb.cccc.dddd     Vlan 20
Also, if someone posts the Pros and Cons of using Radius/ACS/802.1X for Dynamic Vlan Assignments.
Other technology sets that can be used for Dynamic Vlan assignment EXCEPT from deprecated/obsolete VMPS.
    Thanks in advance. .

    Hi Guys,
Hmmm, well if your just looking for Mac based authentication the good news is that is very easy.  Just set create your Radius server, ACS, FreeRadius, Steelbelted radius etc.  Then create user with the name of the Mac address, in other words if the mac address is 0012.0021.1122 the the name would be 001200211122 and the password would be the mac address.  Then you set the vlan and tunnel stuff, like so tunnel-Type would be vlan, Tunnel-medium would be 802 and Tunnel-Private-Group-ID is the name of the vlan(not the vlan number)
So for the Cisco ACS 4.x you would create a user as specified above, fill in all the password boxes with MAC address, I believe the mac has to be all lower case in the name and the password.  Then check the Separate(Chap/MS-Chap/ARAP) box.  Then you pick the group the machine belongs to, the group is the part that defines what vlan it is on.
Before you create the user, create the group with info I wrote above and in addition specify the Service-Type as Authenticate Only.
Freeradius is a bit harder to configure the specifics and I am just now testing a freeradius server so I do not know the process for Machine authentication.
If, however, you are trying to authenticate a user that gets a bit trickier and is not so straight forward.
