Here's the dumb question of the day right here..
My Droid X is on its way to me for delivery. Should I immedietely download the upgrade once I activate the phone before doing anything? Probably makes the most sense to do that... then I can start 100% fresh with it..

BT- Probably the most useless company in the world...
After 2 or 3 years of hell with this company and nobody willing to help I thought I would write here so anybody else thinking of joining BT will make the correct decision and stay as far away as possible.
Firstly after moving house 3 times and being told we would not need an engineer visit when moving and would not be charged they still decided to take the cost of an engineer visit out of our bank account(about £130) all 3 times 2 of which took us overdrawn in our bank account incurring £25 costs and damaging our credit rating. Did anybody at BT care, NO! Managed to get our money back but obviously not the charges incurred from our bank or the damage to our credit score.
We have now moved house again and been without Internet for 2 months. They claim they cannot re connect the line as someone else owns it. This is probably the most stupid thing I have ever heard the person who used to live here isn't exactly going to magic back into the house and start using it again. We could have another line connected at our own cost. Obviously they have still been charging us for a service we have not had which again we had to call and get refunds for. Does anybody at care, NO!
So we still have no Internet. We finally managed to get them to see some sense after some very long and tedious phone calls they eventually assured us all our services would be active by the 30th of July. As I sit here today not to my surprise we still have no Internet and no phone line. After another long phone call they tell us we will have Internet by the 7th of august although were not holding out any hopes.
After reading online it seems many people have the same issues. BT are obviously not capable of looking after any of its customers, even long standing customers such as ourselves. Even when we decided enough was enough and wanted to cancel our service all together we could not do that unless we paid them £230 or something similar.
We will of course be leaving BT at the earliest opportunity when we are not tied to the stupid contracts we have had to start again each time we move house. Had it Up to the eyeballs with the poor service and them robbing money from our bank account. I would advise anybody else to stay as far away from BT as possible.
Shame on you BT.A new iPod will connect to your computer and load whatever you have in iTunes. If the PC has been authorised to play purchased songs you don't need to do it again, it's the computer that requires authorisation not the iPod.

Last Q of the day (dealing with file saving)
When I save my data to the file it gives me a bunch of tabs and stuff that I don't know how to fix. I tried match pattern, and remove white spaces and neither did if for me. Is there a way that I can get it to only output spaces, periods, and commas?
Simple suggestion - reccomend you try my VI version 2 (from the first thread) and see if that gives you th same string out. If not, it is because you are adding in extra random spaces in the pig latin subVI. I noticed that you deal with spaces in a funny way and had to do something to avoid that.

I have debugged the spacing in my VI loads, I can only debug your subVI so much
Suggest you just read file in, wrte string into VI, and write string straight out of VI. It'll take you 5 mins to try.

YouTube's "Most Recent" blank for the past five days
If I go to YouTube's "Most Viewed" or "Top Rated" there is literally a blank screen under "Today". I don't mean there's nothing interesting, or nothing I want. I mean not a single, solitary video whatsoever. ("Today" isn't my search term. It's a built-in category of everything from that day.) Put another way, there is not a single YouTube video anywhere posted after July 18. Is anyone else seeing that on their Apple TV or iPhone?
Besides resetting the modem, routers, and Apple TV, I've gone all the way to restoring the Apple TV to its factory condition and reinstalling software version 1.1. I also tried an Ethernet cable directly from the Apple TV to my cable modem and a wireless connection to my neighbor's network. (He has Earthlink and I have Road Runner, but they're both from Time Warner.) Finally I tried using a public DNS server, 4.2.2.1, instead of my ISP's DNS server. I got the same selection of YouTube videos on all cases.
Looking at my router's log, I see that the Apple TV is reaching out to Google servers, e.g., 64.233.169.147 and 216.239.51.176 when I select "Most Viewed". That seems roughly right. I don't know how to sniff out exactly what information the Apple TV is asking from Google's servers.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions for further debugging on my part?

If you look carefully at the videos' dates under "This Week" or "Most Recent," you'll see that none were posted in the last few days. For me, it's the last five days. I guess, for you, it will be the last two days.
Is there anyone out there who sees a YouTube video dated June 23?
Now if someone could explain the problem, especially in light of the varying cutoff dates - or better yet a solution. -
Month end accrual posting date- Last day of the month
Hi Experts,
I have set up month end accruals for PY US by configuring posting dates, LDCD, WageType accrual processing class, Schema changes. I have also set the closing dates as the end of the month.
Now after I do the posting , there are three documents getting generated.
1. Accrual posting document with first day of the current month
2. Normal Payroll posting document with payroll period posting date
3. Accrual reversal document with first day of the following month.
My Question is: As per standard SAP configuration, the month end accrual will have first day of the month. Can we customize this to end of the month for doc#1 - accrual document?
Please do let me know your suggestion and ideas.

I have a similar question and I hope to have more details on how to change the posting date.
The point is that I have an amount of 1200 and I have to post 100 for each month.
Key Date for Accruals: 31.01.2011
I posted 100 with Document date: 31.01.2011 and Posting date 31.01.2011
Key Date for Accruals: 28.01.2011
I posted 200 with Document date: 28.02.2011 and Posting date 28.02.2011
Also I reversed the amount posted in the previous month (100) with Document date: 31.01.2011 Posting date 28.02.2011
And so on...
The problem are the dates because I need to post the amount at the end of each month (28/02) and to reverse the previous amount at the beginning of the next month (01/02).
How can I change these dates?

Entire days of pictures are not loaded on iCloud, while most of the days are loaded. Weeks has passed, while I was connected to wireless, so I dont understand why still entire days are missing...

The issue basicly seems to be that someone has answered to a thread they started -> I answered -> they answered. Yet the discussion doesnt come to top the first page. This thread in questions is still located at the third page.

The post I am referring to is the third from the bottom. All the previous discussions havent had any posts in 6 days. Yet this one has one reply from 16min ago and still lurks at the 3rd page of the Firewall Discussion section.
Also, I cant see any automatic notification email from the CSC in my work mail at the moment regarding this post.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

have u tried calling 611? sometimes it will still go thought if that doesn't work then go to a Verizon store and if u explain they will call for u or let u use one of theres if your not near a Verizon store then ty to barrow some ones phone that works maybe a friend or co worker the number to Verizon is 800-922-0204 and that is about all u can or if none of those options will work then wate it out

Is there anyway I can get buy a Moto X customized phone? I spent most of the day talking with Motorola and Verizon.. it seems the two companies need to have a chat on how to freakn work together to order this phone online. I feel like a bunch of dementors sucked the life outta me, I need chocolate and alcohol to help me feel better... eeeek!
One thing that I finally had to do when I got my phone on MotoMaker was to buy it outright, after getting an account with Motorola--that way I could get a customized one with 32GB storage. I recall that I could not get it in that size with the usual contract term with Verizon. The Edge option for some reason was not available to me either, don't recall why.
But by buying it through Motorola credit, I could spread the purchase price over 12 months--kind of Edge lite. Then when my contract status changed over to month-to-month instead of the old-fashioned 2 year system, my line charges went down to $15 per month, as it would using the Edge option. -
Having spent most of the day trying to get a trial of Lightroom on my MAC and failing because all it does is CRASH. Being forced to sign up to Creative Cloud, which I don't want. Trying to contact Adobe, impossible. I've decided that life is going to be so much easier sticking with Aperture. Sorry Adobe, now I know why MAC users mostly use Apple products . . . they work!

Can anyone advise if apple is having issues with the APPLE ID portion of their site? I have been trying all afternnon to update my apple id from "Manage your account". It will not allow a revision with the instructions given. THis is most irritating since with the new update your apple ID must now be your email address which is incredibly old and I would certainly like to change it to my current email address!
You have the option to do that but THAT OPTION is also not working at this time.I am having the same problems. Firstly found out that I had a duplicate email address on two apple ids so I fixed that but now it wont let me verify the email address. When I click on "verify email address" nothing happens. So frustrating cos cant set up Facetime or iMessage on my iPad.

I spilt tea on my macbook pro this morning. I got it off instantly and have backed it up and left it stood on it's side ( I found that advice before I shut it down). I tried it a couple of times during the day and it worked fine. I shut it down twice also and left it to dry. It seems to be working fine now...but is it really ? Have I done any damage that I need to get sorted out or is it really ok because I can use it as normal ?

The logic board might be damaged or another part of your MacBook Pro. I recommend you to make a backup of your data and take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller because your computer may fail at any moment.

This morning, after viewing my bank account status that indicated a little over 218 in my account, I made a payment on my Verizon account of 148.82. At the end of this initial payment to my Verizon account, I was told “You may cancel a checking account payment on the day it posts to your account. The amount will be reversed from your account balance.”
I revisited my bank account a little later, to see if this payment had been posted. It had not, but the current status had then changed due to an auto-payment on another account that I had forgotten about, leaving my account with a balance of only 116. I need to change or reverse my payment to Verizon and submit it for 110 until Tuesday of next week (03 June 2014).
I've called Verizon billing department, but have been unable to reach a representative due to the high volume of calls, and the call was disconnected. If I am unable to rectify this today, my payment to Verizon will cause charges to my bank account of $40.00 and a late fee to my Verizon account.
The on-line website does not have a provision for it that I can locate. How can I do this???

Two problems, disconnecting and extremely slow internet at a certain time of the day.
My first problem started to occur since the beginning of this year, after I've upgraded from 1MB/s to 3MB/s. EVERYDAY at 2:39 PM EST or sometime around there, my internet would disconnect (most common at 2:39). It would take some 5-20 minutes to reconnect by itself. I go to 192.168.1.1 and go to broadband connection and press disconnect, then reconnect to get myself back on asap. It would take me a few tries disconnecting and connecting to get the internet back up. I probably do disconnect during other times of the day, such as night time but I don't notice it as much because I am not using the computer at the time.
My second problem is slow download speed at night. As I said, I have a 3000/667 kb/s connection. My internet connection speed is normal during the day time .. but when I ran a speed test during night time, I get around 333 kb/s download and 600 kb/s upload. So, my download speed drops significantly at night and my upload speed is normal.
I am using a D90-327W15-06 modem and I am not using a wireless connection.

#2 If so, to question number one above: What level of wireless security is it set to ( WEP / WPA )?

Musc lost while syncing with android

I5 iMac won't complete shut down after installing Lion
