Motherboard for 17" flatpanel

The motherboard in my iMac 1Ghz 17" flatpanel died and I have found a used motherboard from an iMac 1Ghz with 15" flatpanel.
Will this work with my 17" flatpanel? thanks in advance.

Switching logic boards is not easy. Even if it did fit:
You'd need new RAM as the 17" iMac RAM (PC2100) won't work on a 15" iMac 1GHz board (PC2700).
You'll lose 32Mb of VRAM so would see a performance drop in some applications.
As another recent post attests the Thermal Pads you must replace are both expensive and hard to get hold of.
This is a job for the professionals.

That depends on what type of connection your display has and whether or not your PC has a video card used for display or if you are using the onboard video outputs.
Do you really mean PC monitor ( the old school kind) or did you mean to say LCD display (thin flat screens) instead?

Need new motherboard for Satellite Pro C50-A-1E0

My son's Satellite Pro C50-A-1E0 went completely t*ts up. I think it is a common fault and requires a bios reset or something. Anyway I'm thinking a new motherboard will do the trick.
Any help as to which motherboard to get that is compatible and would this actually help?

It is not easy to find new motherboard and believe me it is pretty expensive so you can buy new notebook.
What you can do is to contact nearest Toshiba service provider at first. Explain the situation and ask if they can help you with this. They are also able to obtain new motherboard for you.

Contact HP support and they can advise on board replacement otherwise dissemble and use that board number and go to eBay and find a match and order a replacement board to replace the bad one.

board. The fabrication number is easily visible at the edge of the board near PCI card

processor by ordering the combined module: Module Set, Logic and Processor (Apple

My Pavilion 9743cl has been diagnosed with a bad motherboard. I have contacted HP customer support to try and get info on the motherboard to buy, but they did not have the info, and directed me here. Can anyone tell me or lead me in the right direction on the product # or information on the motherboard for this laptop.

I personally would be a little sceptical about that offer. They describe the board as "BRAND NEW - NEVER USED OR INSTALLED", and "You will receive the motherboard (what you see in the photo) ONLY".
I see a fan and the pcmcia slot assy attached to the mainboard in that photo , these are separate parts and are not delivered with the board when originally ordered though IBM part sales.
Maybe I'm interpreting their add wrongly, but I'd certainly ask the question beforehand.
