Motherboard for msi gt780dx

Hi at all, my name is Davide, from italy.
My mainboard is broken and i can't repair it, but only replace.
My mainboard is "ms-1761 version 1.1" and i find online the version 1.0
Someone know what is the difference? Is the version 1.0 able to support the nvidia gtx 570?
Sorry for my poor english

If I were you, I'd contact with the local service center and ask for the price.
Since it's quiet risky to buy a different one and it may have some compatibility issues or something else. (Unless it's super cheap)

  • Missing BIOS 26.4 file for MSI H97M ECO motherboard

The BIOS 26.4 file seems to be missing from the download page for the MSI H97M ECO motherboard - I get an error when clicking on the link in the UK download site.
I have installed the 26.3 file instead and I am getting very strange fan rpm on the ECO Center Pro tool - sometimes is shows around 700-800 rpm which is probably correct but it also shows much higher numbers such as 24,000 or 50,000 rpm!

The bios has been removed that's why. Global just shows 26.3 being latest: http://www.msi.com/support/mb/H97M-ECO.html#down-bios
Wait for MSI to fix it and re-release it. Usually versions are removed for a good reason (e.g. a bug).

  • Revision history information for MSI motherboards

Where do I find revision historys for MSI motherboards? I've got an MS6167 V:1 motherboard.
I want to know if there are newer revisions of this board (not BIOS) and what they have changed.

search engines gone screwy on main page im afraid so this will take some time to find whats there

  • Graphics driver details for MSI Z77MA-G45 and other motherboards

This is request for MSI to put more details of the on-board graphics capabilities.
My goal is to have four monitors by adding an additional PCIe graphics card.
Recent versions of Windows can only support multiple graphics cards if the drivers are essentially the same.
I would like to see enough information on the spec sheets for the integrated graphics so that I can decide what models of graphics cards I can buy so that Windows will work with my new card as well as the on-board graphics.
The spec sheet says Radeon but I think that there are many options in the Radeon family.
    Thanks

What? Where have you read that. How should different vga adapters have the same driver. Windows 7 can handle different vga drivers

  • New bios (when) for MSI 865PE-LS motherboard

Any Idea when or if there will be a new bios update released for MSI 865PE-LS Motherboard

Read the  P4 Neo Unofficial Guide
There is a new beta bios and that usually means eventually there will be a new release.

  • My Review for MSI Big Bang Xpower & Overclocked

This will be the very 1st X58 big bang series of MSI and the 1st X58 MSI motherboard to have USB 3.0 and SATA 3 connections. Targets the enthusiast, hardcore gamers as well as overclockers. This board is already equipped with OC Genie buttons which was first implemented for MSI P55 series motherboards. YOu will also see later that instead of the old power, reset and Direct OC Easy Buttons. They are all now soft touch. PCI slots were also removed and been replaced by PCIEx16. There will be x6 PCIEx16 slots for this board ready for multi gpu setups. Military Class Components are also implemented into the board like Solid Caps, better chokes and server grade caps.
Here you will see that the components around the socket area are well layout and very good in quality. These are Hi-C Cap on PWM and super ferrite chokes. Im sure this will provide the best efficient voltage to the processor during normal use and as well as during overclocking. See the two 8pin power connector for the Processor? This will provide more headroom for overclocking the processor especially for Gulftowns
Forgot to mention other things like The board has V-Check points to measure actual voltage for CPU Vcore, VTT, DDR and IOH. Debug led indicator for easy isolation of boot up problems or mobo problems. Jumper for removing voltage wall limits and lastly the board includes an audio card for best audio experience.
So next these are the rear ports
Bundled Accessories. Sata cables, Sata power, IDE cable, USB 2.0 Bracket, eSATA Pack, M-Connectors, V-check Cables and a great gadget for overclocking the board on the fly "OC Dashboard" (shows also the current temps, and voltages)
For some serious 2D Bench Results and overclock on air
    First run. 4.6ghz Spi32M
    Second run. 4.8ghz Spi32m

  • Brain food for MSI engineers, malware in MSI hardware

    Good Morning Everyone,
This is for MSI engineers, I will be happy if you can sort out this problem or in any case this email will help you design your systems better in the future. Let me start by thanking MSI engineers for doing a great job, I love and enjoy the MSI products and services. Thanks for doing a great job. Now to the problem...
I have an old PC based on G31TM-P21 mother board. I have gifted it away to my friends/students and they came back to inform me that it does not work. It puzzled me and I used Wire Shark network analyser to find an IGMP protocol based beacon running over it. Now this poor PC is an ordinary desktop and was never intended to use protocols like IGMP that contacts ICANN, it is even more curious to find that firewall that comes free with Windows Vista actually will never block this IGMP protocol because VISTA does not expect home users to use IGMP protocol. Anyway, I reinstalled everything and in a couple of days the guys were back complaining that system no longer boots and this time I found out that system is in actually in halt state, the CPU fan is running and everything is fine but system just does not reach POST screen. I cleared CMOS and reached BIOS setup. I enabled the option to not to halt on any error in BIOS and viola the system was up and running in no time. I wish the troubled ended there but the guys came back after couple of weeks with the usual trouble that system dose not work. I cleared the CMOS and again reached the BIOS setup and disabled the USB controller and hey presto the system is online again although no USB hardware can be used over it. Enable the USB controller and bang everything goes down again.
This IGMP beacon seems to be platform independent because I had installed windows/linux on the system but it does not seem to go away even after formatting the hard drive and zeroing/clearing every sector. The beacon just gives away the identity of the system on web and then the malware writer finds out what I have done to fix the system and then he moves on to improve the malware.
All right, MSI guys can always point and tell me that TPM module option was there and it would have avoided this malware attack on motherboard.
Now, I love the MSI idea of taking the back up of BIOS but I wish they can give a similar kind of option for firmware also.
I personally believe the system is toasted but any update to fix this trouble will be great.
I "guess" malware author has reprogrammed the south bridge of the motherboard because thats where the USB controller is located. I wonder why the option of reprogramming ASICs is there on the motherboard. I wish there was some kind of jumper to make these chips read only and stop these kind of destructive online attacks.
That was long email, if you made it to the end then thanks a lot for your time and patience. Have some coffee and have a great day.
    Ciao,
    protob
PS: The TOSHIBA (Linux) and Sony (VISTA) laptops that I am using right now seems to have caught the same malware. This is MSIs great opportunity to improve the hardware+marketing and take over the market. :-)

  • Windows 8.1 Driver For MSI 760GM-P21

My Motherboard is MSI 760GM-P21. My Motherboard has build in ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics Adapter. I Want Windows 8.1 Driver For ATI Radeon 3000. Is It possible To Get The Windows 8.1 Driver For ATI Radeon 3000 ?....

Since AMD did not intend to provide Win8.x support for the 760GM chipset thus drivers weren't available.
    The final support is Win7.

  • One suggestion for MSI

May I suggest one motherboard for you to build if possible?
Same design of MSI K8N Diamond Plus, 8 or more phases for CPU power, at least 2 IDE ports for 4 drives. 6 SATA Ports. 1 or 2 eSata ports. Nvidia Chipset 590. Keep all legacy components such parallel port, serial port and others similar to Diamond Plus. Passive Cooling of chipset. Ability to overclock. Ajustments for Memory, CPU, NB and SB voltages. Solid Capacitors. There won't be other to beat this.
You can build for Intel and AMD processors! I wish I could find one kind of motherboard with this configuration.
    Thanks for reading.
    Original.

No need for two dvd burners ,or multiple opticals  LOL  , no need for IDE drives with 8 SATA ports either.
Want them for backup - make it even safer by putting them in a external HD box (sata or usb) , then they don't have to run all the time
and you just neeeds to fire them up when you need to do backup/restore.
IDE with it's limitation of flip flop transfer signalling between master/slave has become obsolete and is replaced by sata , we just
    have to accept that .
The one IDE port is just left there in the NF5 chipsets are for optical IDE/ATAPI possibility -due to the lack of (poor) atapi support over sata controllers.
All SATA controller ports (internal) supports e-sata , e-sata is just the cabling and connector and is obtained
    by installing a pci e-sata bracket .
I know a NF590 motherboard that "almost" meets your requirements , except for the IDE controller , but
mods doesn't like discussing other vendors boards here .

  • MSI GT780DX P1 "TURBO MODE" automatically off in few seconds

Hello ! In my MSI GT780DX  (I5, gtx570m  1.5GB, Windows 7 x64 pro, charger ON)  P1 "TURBO MODE" automatically off in few seconds (aimation from s-bar)
Everything work fine, until install the new driver for GPU from nvidia, v320, and give me problem whit P1 mode.
I'm uninstall the driver, and instal old, no fix, I'm uninstall all driver MSI (nvidia overclok tool, s-bar, afterburner, nvidia drivers) ,and install it again, no fix problem, still P1 "TURBO MODE" automatically off in few seconds ;/
    curiosity:
For more GPU clok (700MHZ)and memory (1700), I run "nvidia inspector",only open "show overcloking",and "Driver profile" , nothing change ! Then run afterburner , and set gpu clok to 700Mhz, memory clok 1700, aply, and in game it's run gpu to 700Mhz, no pressing P1 button !!
But I want to press only P1 button for more gpu clok...
    sorry for bad english.

For anyone that needs help setting the overclock tool to run at startup, just set a task to run the tool with admin priveleges at user login with the task scheduler.
Can confirm this works for me, I can now use my turbo button and change brightness without SCM crashing on the latest Nvidia drivers (331.65).

  • Nvidia Performance Level 3 - MSI GT780DX

    Hiya all,
I'm running Arch on an MSI GT780DX, with an Nvidia 570M. At the moment I'm running Arch-CK 4.0.5-2-CK (but over the many many many months I've been dealing with this issue I've ran many kernels to no avail - stock kernels from the inception of v4, and all incarnations of liquorix) with the nvidia-ck 352.21-1 drivers.
For the life of me, I can't get this card to clock properly. I've enabled coolbits, added powermizer options in my xorg, all do absolutely nothing. The card stays at performance level two.
This is what my nvidia-settings looks like in the Powermizer tab.
    http://i.imgur.com/QHtgzi3.png
In Windows, MSI provided an overclocking utility which when I hit P1 above my keyboard, performance level 3 would kick in. Linux has no such tool. My guess is that the overclocking utility wrote to registers on the card. If that's the case, how on earth can I do think in Linux?

Is there nobody having the same or at least having a clue how to solve that?
Can I do something or is this just a Nvidia driver bug?

  • Overheating or Memory? MSI GT780DX

    Hello everyone!
    I have MSI GT780DX Laptop (GTX570M 1.5GB, 16gb RAM)
I'm playing Battlefield 3 on lowest settings and I have 80-100 fps and when I'm playing while recording with Fraps on 60 fps everything works perfect for about 30-40 min and than fps falls to 5-10. If I switch off fraps it goes back to 80-100. I've tried to monitor temperature and it doesn't go above 75-80 (which I think is normal?). I've tried ccleaner, disk defragmentation and disk check but still no changes...Is there anything that can be done in this situation? Maybe it's memory problems or smth? I'm really looking forward to your help guys!
    Thank you.

    A few questions...
What resolution are you playing at?
What hard drive are you recording onto?
    What is your memory usage?
Remember, FRAPS needs to record the data somewhere, I'd bet it's recording it to RAM and then storing it on the HDD as fast as it can, but the HDD is slower than your recording. You're probably filling your RAM and after 30 to 40 minutes it's completely full.....That's my guess anyway.
