Does anyone knows where I can find the information about the motherboard of my notebook and its price also?
Thanks.

Hi
How old is your notebook? Is the warranty still valid? If yes contact Asp in your country. I hope you will get new motherboard replacement for free.

  • Need new motherboard for Satellite Pro C50-A-1E0

My son's Satellite Pro C50-A-1E0 went completely t*ts up. I think it is a common fault and requires a bios reset or something. Anyway I'm thinking a new motherboard will do the trick.
Any help as to which motherboard to get that is compatible and would this actually help?
    Thanks.

    Hi nessie
It is not easy to find new motherboard and believe me it is pretty expensive so you can buy new notebook.
What you can do is to contact nearest Toshiba service provider at first. Explain the situation and ask if they can help you with this. They are also able to obtain new motherboard for you.
Addresses and phone numbers you can find on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

  • I need field replaceable unit documentation for Satellite L100-108

Hello, I need field replaceable unit documentation for Toshiba Satellite L100-108 because I want to disassembly the screen.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks.

I doubt that other notebook manufactures are release her service manuals. Why should they do it?
A few years ago I had a notebook from another manufacture and I couldnt download service manual because its not for public too.
I can understand why these manuals are not for public because notebook disassembling is not so easy. Its pretty tricky and you must remove a lot of screws and parts. I think the most people dont have experience with this and so I go to an authorized service provider. The notebook technicians are the experts for this. ;)

    Hello
For me there are no much options:
    - Authorized service partner in your country
    - Independent notebook hardware store (Google can help)
    - Or maybe used main board from eBay
    What you think?

  • I need motherboard for Satellite M305D-S4830

    Hi Mr/Mrs,
I have a question about my Toshiba Laptop.
Last summer I bought Toshiba M305D-S4830 from BestBuy in USA. (Now I'm in Turkey)
Unfortunately, when I tried to start my laptop, there was nothing. After then, I figure whats happened out.
Now, my mother board is not working properly.
Thats why I need "M305D-S4830" Mother Board Model. Can you help me about this, please?
    Thanks.
    Cuneyt Ay.

As far as I know the notebooks have 1 year international warranty.
But therefore I would contact your local ASP. Have did this?
Maybe the ASP in your country can order this part for you
In worst case you must sent the notebook to an ASP in USA.

  • Defective motherboard on Satellite C660-10F

I have a problem with my laptop, it just would not boot, lights did come on. I have reason to believe there is a problem with the motherboard. I have tried to find what model the motherboard is, any compatible models and how much a new one would cost.
    Can anyone help?

I also think there is a problem with mainboard or BIOS. I presume BIOS is defective. In such case whole mainboard will be exchanged.
To be honest it is not easy to help you with all your questions. Why? As you probably know notebooks parts cannot be ordered so easily like hardware components for desktops and mostly such repair or exchange will be done by authorized service providers.
Due to this I think you should contact nearest service provider in your country and ask for help.
All you can do now is to search motherboard Googling around. It must be motherboard for Satellite C660 with part number PSC0RE.
Check http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/ and contact nearest service. They can help you with this.

  • How to find exact motherboard model for Satellite P100-347?

    Hello,
I am hoping someone could help me. I am looking for a new motherboard for my toshiba laptop as it needs replaced.
I own a pspa6e-03302cen Satellite P100-347 laptop and have not been able to find this board online anywhere. Although I have found two suppliers of many p100 motherboards they use alternate model numbers in which I cannot find anywhere in my documentation or on the actual computer. The model numbers they use are something like A000008350 or a number starting with k. I am pretty sure the supplier i have found has the motherboard i would need but i would need a list of all the alternate part numbers for my laptop or someway of finding the exact numbers. Any help on this matter is appreciated..
    Thanks

To be honest I really do not believe someone here can offer you such info. As you know this info is for internal use and you can try to get this info from authorized service provider in your country. Sorry but I do not see better solution, except to wait here and hope someone can help.
    Good luck!

  • Satellite L100-121 - Toshiba TEMPRO alerts me for nothing

I have a Toshiba Satellite L100-121, and Toshiba TEMPRO installed.
The icon in the system tray usually turns red or orange or grey, indicating that i have alerts, but when i click show alerts and click current alerts, it's nothing there!
    Why?
And sometimes it start with windows, sometimes not.
    why?
    Thanks !

    Hi
Toshiba Tempro tool sends always a notification if an new software / driver has been uploaded to the Toshiba European driver page.
This is only a notification and it doesnt mean that you have to update anything!
So if your notebook is running trouble free then you dont need to update anything!
If you want you can disable this software also in msconfig -> startup.
I did it because I dont need any notifications

  • Satellite L100-108: Upgrade from Intel 3945 WLan to Intel 4965agn

    Hi,
It is possible to replace the wifi card that brought the Satellite L100-108 (Intel 3945ABG) for the one Intel 4965AGN?
Both cards are mini pci-e and the chipset on the motherboard (with the Everest says only that it is Toshiba), is the Intel i945GM.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Why you want to upgrade the WLan card?
I mean the Intel 3945ABG provide three different WLan standards.
OK, the Intel 4965AGN provides the 802.11 N standard but this standard cannot be used because the WLan card would need 3 wire wlan antenna
As far as I know the L100-108 has been equipped with two wires Wlan antenna which is designed for A B and G WLan standard.

  • Satellite L100 - Upgrade Intel 3945ABG to 4965 AGN WLAN card?

I would like to know if in a Satellite L100 is posiible to change the 4965AGN wifi card for one 3945ABG or there may be problems or incompatibilities with the motherboard chipset which is an i945 GM GM.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello enoac
You wrote you want to CHANGE WLAN card.
If you want to use internal WLAN card and get it work please let us see what can be done with it.
Your postings dont offer much info and I dont understand what the problem is exactly.
Is card installed and listed in device manager properly?
Can you enable or disable WLAN card using FN+F8 key combination?
Is WLAN LED on when you enable WLAN card?
Can you scan area and see available WLAN networks?
What happen if you try to connect to your WLAN network?
Have you tested WLAN with different routers?
Please dont discuss using one or two sentences. Explain exactly what happen and what have you tried to do already.

I would like to find info on the following issues:
    1. Are there any bios- and or driver updates?
    2. What is the max RAM that I can install (supported by the motherboard) ?
    3. Is the L100-181 the same as the -129 or _131?

Any solid info is greatly appreciated !

    Hi y20dth,
Sure there are informations on Toshibas downloadsite!
    Just choose your model PSLA0E

-which bios version is currently on your machine? and see download area
Q2. What is the max RAM that I can install (supported by the motherboard) ?
-see manual, also downloadable and depends on your operatinsystem also.
Q3. Is the L100-181 the same as the -129 or _131?
-as far as i know these numbers after the "-" reflecting the different equipment eg. hdd, ram and so on
    Q4. I would like to by a new battery, can I use a battery from a L100-129 ?
-i would say yes - because it's the same modell, better ask a toshiba service partner.
Q5. Why can't I find any support/info on my type of laptop ?
-tried to download the user manual? there are helpful informations provided.
Q6. Is there a manual to clean the keyboard an laptop internals (dust removal)?
-as far as i know: nope, but using a brush without! solvents or water would do a nice job.

  • Satellite L100-113 does not start after memory upgrade

    Hello.
Our integrator bring to our company memory modules KVR800D2S5, but notebook doesn't start :(
I read manual - this notebook supports 533 PC4200 memory modules.
But SO-DIMM 533MHz will be delivered only in a month...
What memory modules we can install to Toshiba L100-113?
    Thank you.

    Hi
I think the notebook does not power up due to a faulty or not fully compatible memory module.
Please check this 3rd party memory website:
    [Memory for Toshiba Satellite L100-113|http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=22360&ft=m&st=3]
As you can see the Satellite L100-113 memory can be upgraded up to 2GB (2x 1GB) and you have to use the DDR2 533MHz (PC2-4200) 200-PIN SODIMM

  • 1.90 BIOS Update for Satellite A215-S7437 doesnt work

I tried updating to the latest BIOS 1.90 on my Satellite A215-S7437 laptop but i found out that it froze at saying it was reading Old Bios, i let it sit still for 2 hours and then i did a hard shutdown. Then rebooted laptop, thankfully i did not bricked it had i done so my motherboard would be useless or would it?  My knowledge about BIOSes is limited but i do know something didnt go right.  Well only reason i was updating was because i saw that it added compatibility with Windows 7 and i plan to get Windows 7.  So is it worth the risk or would i be fine installing Windows 7 without the latest update which introduces 2.1 slic.
Also is there a way to check if my old bios didnt get affected, i mean i know laptop is working right now but who knows. If my Bios ever gets bricked what would i do to fix it?
BTW this is the update that i found not to work for me. Even though its for my model of laptop.
ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.90 for Satellite A215 (PSAFGU/PSAFHU)
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=185272...

If it's working correctly your old bios wasn't affected.  Since if froze while READING the bios it hadn't had time to actually write any new information yet.  That is what saved you.  If it had frozen while WRITING the new data it would have required sending it in to Toshiba for a repair.  If you decide to update the bios again you need to read the instructions for flashing From the bootable BIOS installation CD-ROM.  That is a MUCH safer way to accomplish this.  ALso make sure you are running on AC power.  NEVER FLASH WHILE ON BATTERY POWER although you do want the battery installed.
I wouldn't update it unless you have to.  Wait to see if Windows 7 is NOT able to install or activate.  This is especially true if your system is out of warranty as you'll have to pay to get it fixed.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • Satellite L100-130: Sound every time when start the computer

I have got a Toshiba Satellite L100-130 (my first notebook and my first experience with Windows XP). When I start my computer I hear the Microsoft Windows XP Sound, but after that I have to manually adjust the sound volume, because it is set at 0 every time I started up my notebook.
I wanted to know if this is normal with Windows XP/notebooks or there is something wrong with... anything...

    Hi
As far as I know the L100 has no volume switch at the notebook side. Am I right?
Therefore the software application is responsible for the volume control.
Like Jeffrey has written in the post above you should check the sound volume controls in the sound and audio devices.
There you will find many controls. Check if all are set to the higher level.
But if it doesnt change the sound volume settings so I assume its a default setting and you have to increases the sound volume if you start the Media Player.
