Motion removed all my careful keyframing work!

I spent a long time carefully tweaking the bezier curves of a whole range of keyframes over about 15 seconds of action. When I had finished, and everything was looking exactly the way I wanted it, I locked all relevant layers, saved the file, and exported a draft Quicktime movie to show my client (it looks great).
But the next time I opened the same file (with the animated layers still locked), all the careful bezier keyframing I had done had been replaced with standard linear interpolation through the whole project! I have no idea how it happened - I was extremely careful about everything I had done and I generally know what I'm doing in Motion anyway.
Has anyone had the same experience? Or can anyone explain what might have happened? Any help would be hugely appreciated because I don't want it to happen again if I spend hours and hours doing it all from scratch.

Yeah, I remember someone posting about this quite a while ago, and there may be an Apple Knowledgebase article about it. If you lock an object, save and then reload, any transforms-related beziers (Position, Scale, Rotation) have been reset. It doesn't happen if you lock and object's parent group, and it doesn't seem to affect the beziers of shape objects.
The workaround is to put the stuff in a group and lock the group. Unfortunately, though, anything that you've already saved (and closed) is lost.

Remove All Website Data Not Working

I am currently using a MacBook Pro, running OS X 10.8.5 with Safari ver 6.2.2. Recently I have noticed that when I go to preferences and click on Remove All Website Data it does not clean out the sites I have visited. Is this a common problem or do I have a virus or is there a fix? Please help. Thank you for your time.

If you want to delete only the browsing history and keep all other data, select Show History from the History menu. In the window that opens, select all the history items and press delete.

Action to remove all unused swatches nearly works...

I've been using the default Action to remove fluff (unused swatches, symbols, brushes, etc.) but it has a funny quirk. I have a spot black color (named black) that always escapes the purge, even if it not used in the document. It is not set as the default stroke/fill, and there are no styles that use this swatch. Even if I run the Action twice the swatch remains. Even if I rename the swatch to something other than black it remains. Even if I rename the swatch and give it a different CMYK mix it remains. As a kludge, I've been using a combo of the default action and John Wundes' Delete Fluff script to get everything, but it is not an ideal solution. Wundes' script, which is unable to delete used brushes, roots out the offending swatch. It is unable to delete unused brushes, so following up with the default action clears those out. Also, Wundes' script is very slow and will often beach-ball the application, requiring a force-quit occasionally.
Two questions:

Can anyone think of other places that might harbor this rogue spot color and make the default action not find/delete it?
Is there a simple script that could check specifically for the use of this color in the document and delete it?

The reason I feel like it is a remnant of a deleted brush is because:
-- I can run the Action the first time and the unwanted swatch is still there.
-- I can run the Action again (or ten times), and it is still there.
-- If, however, I save, close, and then open the document, and run the Action again then it will result in getting rid of the unwanted swatch.
I don't know what magic exists in John's script, but it has no problem getting rid of the unused swatch right off the bat...

When I open the iCloud control panel, I cannot turn on the photos. That option is ghosted. I'm running on Windows 7 with iCloud 3.0. Any ideas on how I can fix this? All help is appreciated! Thanks!

Right click problem: I did not know about the Yahoo sidebar issue, I have removed all toolbars from my browser from 'view' menu. There is nothing in my 'extensions' to disable. Right click is not working. What to do?

when I choose privacy > remove all website data - it doesn't work and all the data remains.... (details says many are in cache)

I have unlocked my iPhone 3G with Vodafone via iTunes, but now the downloaded apps crash immediately when opened. I've tried a Restore, but this didn't help. I've also tried removing all apps and re-installing them, but they still don't work. Any ideas?

yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this!

Cannot reopen firefox, since it's already active. Cannot kill the process in taskmanager. Already uninstalled and removed all the programm files... same problem occurs?? Tried to change the profile etc... nothing works..

I am now using v3.68 and tried updating to v7.01 but it does not seem to work. Went to control panel to remove all the old versions but Firefox was not listed there although Thunderbird is there. Please advise asap, thanks

I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong during the uninstall/reinstall process. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
In the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, look for '''Mozilla Firefox'''. Make sure to save (do not delete) your personal settings when uninstalling.
If it isn't there, just try installing 3.6.23, which is the latest in the 3.6 family. You can download 3.6.23 here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
With respect to version 7.0.1, are you saying that the installation failed, or it seemed to work but it's nowhere to be found?

Java applets won't load, have latest version of java installed, have removed all old versions from the hard drive, java console not working in firefox, any suggestions please ?

have removed all old versions of java from my hard drive & restarted the computer.
i have checked that java is enabled in the plug-ins and it is with version se 6 u22, also something called java development toolkit 6.0.220.4 np runtime script plug-in library for java (tm) deploy.

You might want to look in your control panel for 'Java' icon. It should give you an option to enable java plugin into your browser. Let me know if you still face the issue.

Safari 6.0.5 "Remove all website data" doesn't work

Safari 6.0.5, OS X 10.8, MacBookPro 17" Mid-2010.
I cannot properly remove the cookies from Safari. It takes 3, 4 or 5 relaunches to clear them all. Bug?
I have even installed OS X 10.8 on a blank disk, from scratch. I have even repaired my boot disk permissions. The trouble is still there.
This is what I do:
I clear the cache with Command-Option-E.
I select the menu "Safari:Reset Safari...", I mark all the check-boxes and press the OK button.
I go to the Preferences:Privacy panel, and I clearly see "5 websites stored cookies or other data". Sometimes they are even hundreds.
I click on the button "Details..." and verify they are all listed there. Yes they are.
Now I click on the button "Remove all website data". It seems the data have been removed. No more messages aside the button.
Then I quit and relaunch Safari, then I open the Preferences:Privacy panel.
Well, I clearly still see "5 websites stored cookies or other data".
So I click again on the button "Remove all website data". It seems the data have been removed. No more messages aside the button.
Then I quit and relaunch Safari, then I open the Preferences:Privacy panel.
Well, I clearly still see "2 websites stored cookies or other data". So only 3 data have been removed.
Now I click on the button "Remove all website data". It properly shows the data have been removed.
Then I quit and relaunch Safari, then I open the Preferences:Privacy panel.
Finally, I see the data have been removed. But is that true? Is that reliable? Of course I don't trust that.
So I quit Safari once again, relaunch it once again and verify that on the Preferences:Privacy panel.
Finally I quit Safari (with still some doubt...).
I guess that's not what I am supposed to do.

I haven't changed my passwords so why is this happening? I removed all passwords to my emails and Thunderbird still asks me for my password. I enter in nothing or my old password and still nothing. has your provider webmail? Try the passwort there. Maybe you have been locked out because you entered the wrong password too many times.
Maybe you are using the wrong username.
check if your e-mail provider has a step by step manual on how to setup an account with Thunderbird.

Time Machine remove all backups of this files not working

I've just left a company that had me use my MB as a BOYD...now I have to remove all of their stuff, including files held by Time Machine.
I selected their directory in TM and said "remove all backups of this file". It asked for my password and seemed to accept it.
And then nothing happened. I've left the MB plugged in, with my Seagate drive plugged in (by usb), untouched for 48 hours. Even though there is no other activity on the machine TM keeps says that its doing multi-gig backups. And yet, the files I've asked it to remove remain in my various TM backups.
I've heard that TM can be unbelievably slow....is 48 hours not long enough? My MB has 128 gig and my TM has 500 gig so this is not a lot of data.
Suggestions?

Best bet would be log problem on apples support and then set up call with support - particularly if most of the backup is not your stuff - but you want to keep your stuff.
Time Machine Cleanups don't match the length of the backup - because of collapsing of daily files into weekly files - and the hourly ones into daily.
Have you opened Time Machine desktop drive to look at the folder and see what is going on -- you should have daily backups for the last month (in days) and weekly backups back to the beginning. With the delete all of some files that may be an issue where that is the only set of files that changed in that week (if you chose not to back up system files).
Just to be sure - you are running Apples Time Machine and not the backup that came with the Seagate drive?
