Moto G 2014 edition on Verizon Prepaid.

Any idea if or when the new Moto G (2014 edition with larger screen) will be available for Verizon prepaid?
Will the device available directly from Motorola work with Verizon prepaid? If so which version is required? IE, international or USA?

krlb, we would love to see you in that device! We currently offer this device on our prepaid network. Click http://vz.to/1CWapAf for details. Please be advised that prepaid devices can only be used in the U.S., and do not have international access when traveling abroad.

  • Why do my messages immediately disappear from my verizon messages conversation on my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition?

I recently bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition and downloaded Verizon Messages. All of my conversations synced with my laptop and phone, but whenever I send a message from my tablet it immediately disappears from the conversation on all of my devices. The people on the receiving end still get the message, but I do not see it. Please help.

        Hi Nickbon!
I'm sorry to learn of any issues viewing messages sent from your tablet using Verizon Messages. When did this issue begin? Were messages from your tablet ever appearing for you? Please share some details for me, thanks!

You can buy Applecare anytime before the 1 year warranty expires, so you could leave that to his discretion if you wanted, and he'd have 1 year to consider it.
You can save ~$30 on the mini if you qualify for an educational or corporate discount. Office 2004 costs ~$145 with educational discount.

  • Where can I obtain my account number? I am a Verizon prepaid moto g user. Thank you

Where can I obtain my account number? I am a Verizon prepaid moto g user. I need to verify my account number and my PIN/password.
    Thank you

You need to call the prepaid customer service number and ask them. It should be *611 from your phone.

You can't use a $35 card on that type of phone.

  • Moto X (2014) and 5.0 Lollipop

The Moto X (2014) Pure Edition got 5.0 Lollipop yesterday.  Does anyone know when the Verizon version will get it?

Is there a release date? Or ETA? Or is Verizon going tick off all their customers and not allow the update to happen? Which they're famous for.

  • Moto X (2014) receiving low quality images over MMS

I've had 2 different Moto Xs 2014 and both receive images in really low quality (pixelated, lower resolution). I've tried MMS through the verizon messaging app, Hangouts, and the MMS app. My Moto X 2013 did not have this issue. Does anyone know if this a network issue or a Motorola firmware issue?

Im having the same issue on on my 2014 Moto X running Android 5.0, no matter what messaging app I use. Incoming MMS are less than 30kb but I can send at the normal 700kb. Extremely unusable resolution. Factory reset my phone and tried Verizon messaging plus which worked for one incoming MMS but subsequent messages were back to <30kb. Went into a Verizon store and checked my APN settings against different phones which were identical. Verizon employees had no explanation either. Not sure if its a Verizon issue or Motorola issue.

  • Advanced Calling on the Moto X 2014?

The Moto X 2014 was originally advertised as one of the first phones that would have VoLTE, yet months later, the capability is still lacking.  Several Verizon phones have received this update, but not this phone.  When will the update be sent out?

That's not correct.  When you've selected VoLTE (Advanced Calling), ALL your calls will be transported via LTE as long as you are in LTE coverage regardless of if you're calling another cell or land line phone.  This means you will have simultaneous voice and data.  The HD voice (enhanced AMR-WB 12 kbps vocoder) only happens when BOTH phones (caller and receiver support it), otherwise, the vocoder (codec) will be a lower quality one, but the call is still carried over LTE allowing for simultaneous voice and data.  This is why you'd drop the call if you moved out of LTE coverage while on a call with VoLTE (regardless of the recipient of that call).  Short answer:  VoLTE is always on whenever you are in LTE areas, but the HD voice portion (higher quality) requires the other party to ALSO be VoLTE.
I think Verizon / Motorola should have NEVER offered this phone for sale without VoLTE out of the box since it was designed without SVLTE hardware functionality that all other (previous) smartphones have.  I think it is COMPLETELY unacceptable that this phone has lived over 25% of its life (6 months) without this basic ability leaving it crippled whilst the droid turbo was immediately upgraded to VoLTE.  Honestly, I couldn't care less about Lollipop-- I want VoLTE-- it's a basic function of the phone for which it was designed!

  • Verizon Prepaid Number Portability and Converting to Post Paid

    1. Are verizon prepaid numbers portable?  I don't plan on leaving verizon, but if I did, would I be able to keep the number?
    2. Can I convert my account to a post paid account at a later time?  Will I be able to keep the same number?
    3. If I move to a different area, will I be able to keep the same number, or will I be forced to get a new number with a different area code?
    4. I'm on the 99 cent plan for each day I use my phone.  If I buy the messaging bundle, and use messaging but do not make any calls on a day, am I still charged the 99 cents for the day?  Or is the 99 cents just for days I make calls?

    1. Are verizon prepaid numbers portable?  I don't plan on leaving verizon, but if I did, would I be able to keep the number?
Yes you can always take your number with you.
    2. Can I convert my account to a post paid account at a later time?  Will I be able to keep the same number?
Yes after having a prepaid account for 6 months you can convert it over to a contract account and keep your number.
    3. If I move to a different area, will I be able to keep the same number, or will I be forced to get a new number with a different area code?
As long as  your in the Verizon calling area you can keep your number
    4. I'm on the 99 cent plan for each day I use my phone.  If I buy the messaging bundle, and use messaging but do not make any calls on a day, am I still charged the 99 cents for the day?  Or is the 99 cents just for days I make calls?
No you are not charged for texting you are only charged the  99 cents when you make a call or answer  a call. So if you text every day but do not make any calls you are not charged for the 99 cents.

  • How do I port my Verizon Prepaid number to a new Verizon contract?

Right now I have the $35 prepaid plan and I'd like to update to a Maxx HD, which is up on Amazon for $20 with a new contract. However, the Amazon page is telling me that my number is not transferable. I don't know what to do here, can someone help?

I am considering a new post pay account, that was exactly the point of my original post. As I said before, i went to amazon.com, selected a phone, selected a new verizon plan, and put in my current number for a port request (which is with verizon prepaid). Amazon's website informed me that my number cannot be ported, and I don't understand why. So, to recap:
    What I have:
    >a prepaid phone with verizon
    >a number that I want to keep
    What I want:
    >a postpaid account with verizon
    >a razr maxx hd
    >my phone number
    My question:
Why is amazon telling me that my number cannot be ported, when I am going from one plan to another on the same carrier?

  • Verizon Prepaid Questions - Different From AT&T?

I am currently a prepaid customer with AT. I'm also an avid forumer on their website, and I "specialize" in their prepaid offerings and services. I have had Verizon prepaid and postpaid services in the past, and I left due to the high prices and the limitability of their prepaid plans.
I used to have the $.99 daily access fee with $.20 per message. It got too expensive, but then I joined my Mom on her postpaid account. Just three months into it, it got too expensive; I then dropped my Verizon line and happily joined AT&T.
AT&T has very good priced prepaid options and plans - sort of unlike Verizon. Overall, I am happy with AT&T (prepaid), but sometimes I can't get very good coverage in the kitchen of my home... Which is kind of important, because the kitchen is where the heart is, am I right? I do get good 3G coverage upstairs, though, which makes me want to stay.
I use an AT&T prepaid Samsung Mythic, which I love, but it recently stopped working. I am looking to get it replaced soon. My Mom uses a Samsung Reality and gets two/three bars of 3G in our kitchen, while I get zero-two bars of EDGE. I may switch back to Verizon prepaid, under some certain conditions...
1.) Does Verizon offer SMARTPHONES on DAILY ACCESS PLANS? For instance, at AT&T, you can use ANY phone except the iPhone on a prepaid plan, and it is allowed. Can you do that with Verizon? I would like to use a Samsung Fascinate on the daily rate plan of $0.00 with $.25 per minute and $10 Unlimited Mobile-to-Mobile messaging with 250 messages for other-carriered customers.
2.) I use a plan at AT&T called the Simple Rate plan where I pay just $.10 a minute for all calls. Is Verizon's plan $.25 a minute PERIOD, or just to non-Verizon customers?
3.) If I were to switch back to Verizon prepaid, are there any activation charges? At AT&T, you can just register your AT&T prepaid SIM card, and begin using the service almost immediately with no activation fees.
4.) To add money to my AT&T prepaid account, I just simply buy $25 GoPhone cards and load them to my AT&T account. Then I add my messaging plan. Are there Verizon prepaid cards to purchase, and if so, are they easy to load onto the phone?
If I cannot use a Samsung Fascinate/other advanced device with the mentioned plan, I am staying with AT&T, despite the coverage issues in my kitchen. At least it will be affordable and "limitless"...
A reply would be appreciated. Verizon's business depends on it.
    Thanks.

There are two daily prepaid plans -- 99 cents per day only on the days you make a call or answer a call, verizon to verizon is no extra charge, landlines or non verizon is 10 per minute after you have paid the 99 cents. The text is 10 cents to send and 10 cents to receive. The second plan is 1.99 per day only on the days you use it, This plan after paying the 1.99 is unlimited calling all to all providers. Text is 2 cents to send and 2 cents to receive if you do not have a text package plan.
Refill Expiration (once applied to the account)
    $15-$29.99 expires in 30 days
$75-$99.99 expires in 180 days $30-$74.99 expires in 90 days
$100 or more expires in ONE YEAR!

  • What is the FASTEST Internet Browser for OSX? (2014 Edition)

What is the FASTEST Internet Browser for OSX? (2014 Edition)
I'm a tech junkie, I love everything about technology.. especially FAST and EFFICIENT technology..
I am currently using Google Chrome, and have nothing bad so say about it.. I like that I can "sign in" to Google Chrome pretty much anywhere (including my iPhone 5s), and instantly have access to all of my Bookmarks and Bookmark folders..
I have seen a bunch of benchmark tests testing a bunch of available internet browsers on OSX.. however, the results seem a bit inconclusive and varying, and some that even support the notion that Safari is now FASTER than Google Chrome.. I'm not sure whether or not to believe it, and I don't really have the time/energy to conduct a series of tests on my own..
What do you guys think? Is Google Chrome still considered the "fastest" when it comes to browsing/downloading?

Has anyone used or have any opinions about Lightning?  I found some positive reviews around, and granted they all mention it's unrefined, they all seem to think it is the fastest.  Great as that may be, before I fork out the $2 I would like to get some more info regarding privacy and security.

  • Verizon Prepaid - questions about not paying on time

    961
i'm a bit short on cash.
I have the verizon prepaid Unlimited plan on my Droid X2, which is unlimited text and data, which they don't offer anymore.
I'm a bit short on cash this month, and i know i can do without my phone for a week.
My payment of $95 is due on the 26th of each month, and i wont get paid til the 1st, which is a week later.
Will my phone still be able to be paid and activated again?
I've read something about I have 90 days to pay it to get it back on, and keep the same number.
Do they charge a reactivation fee type thing?
I've been a contract holder for about 6 years now with verizon, and finally got out of that, so i'm new to all this pre paid stuff.
    thanks

You probally don't need this info anymore based on your post, but for anyone else who reads it, here the skinny
Even on the grandfathered prepaid monthly plans, you still have an expiration date based on your last largest payment, The plan you were on was $95 a month, so in your case, your last payment, last month, means you have 6 months of that account being active, and Verizon will not change your price plan without permission. So even if you didn't pay till Christmas, you would still have the number active with the grandfathered plan on it.

  • LG octane on verizon prepaid?

    Good afternoon,
I currently have verizon contract plan that just ended - but i'm paying an exhorbitant amount of money for a crappy plan.
450 minutes, 1000 texts and paying over $50/month for a BASIC phone.
I am wondering if I can use this Verizon LG OCTANE phone on a verizon prepaid plan?
or will i be forced to purchase another basic phone?
    Thanks!!!

    drzrx,
Since your LG Octane phone is 3G it would need to be activated on a 2GB plan or higher if you would like to have it setup on a prepay basis. Recently verizon introduced a new $35 postpay (or contract) plan which provides 500 anytime minutes, unlimited text and web. Keep in mind there is no mobile to mobile or nights and weekends. If you are out of contract at this point it would require a 1yr contract extension. This is basically the same as the prepay offering for 2G phones however the coverage is better, it allows you to keep the same account and will work for all basic phone regardless of 2G/3G capability. You may have to call customer service to get this offering.
